A Temporary Post
474 comments - Click for BlogThis is just a temp post.
We have built up about 755 comments from the current blog and that has to be causing somebody some page loading grief. However, wifey is beating me about the head to get shaved, showered and dressed to go shopping for wicker furniture for the lanai and to go visit the zoo. So writing a new post will have to wait until this evening.
But perhaps I'll get inspiration for a new post, meandering through the zoo, seeing the sights, smelling the smells, watching the antics in the 'monkey' house and the 'spider' cage?
I am thinking about writing on the causes and effects of the NASA budget cuts. Within the last two blogs, there are some clues to be had. And some please the avid conspiracy theorist demanding disclosure.
Have a good Saturday...or Sunday for those on the 'other side of the Pacific'. LOL!

Nasa budget cuts sounds good. Much to talk about there. The public space program is but a shell of what it once was.
On another note, winds have been from the NW over the last two days. Clouds were VERY low yesterday, almost like you could reach out and touch them. Higher clouds today, same wind, no trails. Clouds are green and red when viewed with polarized sunglasses. And oily in appearance.
A newly declassified document gives a fascinating glimpse into the US military's plans for "information operations" - from psychological operations, to attacks on hostile computer networks.
The document says information is "critical to military success"
Bloggers beware.
As the world turns networked, the Pentagon is calculating the military opportunities that computer networks, wireless technologies and the modern media offer.
From influencing public opinion through new media to designing "computer network attack" weapons, the US military is learning to fight an electronic war.
The declassified document is called "Information Operations Roadmap". It was obtained by the National Security Archive at George Washington University using the Freedom of Information Act.
Officials in the Pentagon wrote it in 2003. The Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, signed it.
Information Operations Roadmap
The "roadmap" calls for a far-reaching overhaul of the military's ability to conduct information operations and electronic warfare. And, in some detail, it makes recommendations for how the US armed forces should think about this new, virtual warfare.
The document says that information is "critical to military success". Computer and telecommunications networks are of vital operational importance.
Propaganda
The operations described in the document include a surprising range of military activities: public affairs officers who brief journalists, psychological operations troops who try to manipulate the thoughts and beliefs of an enemy, computer network attack specialists who seek to destroy enemy networks.
All these are engaged in information operations.
The wide-reaching document was signed off by Donald Rumsfeld
Perhaps the most startling aspect of the roadmap is its acknowledgement that information put out as part of the military's psychological operations, or Psyops, is finding its way onto the computer and television screens of ordinary Americans.
"Information intended for foreign audiences, including public diplomacy and Psyops, is increasingly consumed by our domestic audience," it reads.
"Psyops messages will often be replayed by the news media for much larger audiences, including the American public," it goes on.
The document's authors acknowledge that American news media should not unwittingly broadcast military propaganda. "Specific boundaries should be established," they write. But they don't seem to explain how.
"In this day and age it is impossible to prevent stories that are fed abroad as part of psychological operations propaganda from blowing back into the United States - even though they were directed abroad," says Kristin Adair of the National Security Archive.
Credibility problem
Public awareness of the US military's information operations is low, but it's growing - thanks to some operational clumsiness.
When it describes plans for electronic warfare, or EW, the document takes on an extraordinary tone. It seems to see the internet as being equivalent to an enemy weapons system
Late last year, it emerged that the Pentagon had paid a private company, the Lincoln Group, to plant hundreds of stories in Iraqi newspapers. The stories - all supportive of US policy - were written by military personnel and then placed in Iraqi publications.
And websites that appeared to be information sites on the politics of Africa and the Balkans were found to be run by the Pentagon.
But the true extent of the Pentagon's information operations, how they work, who they're aimed at, and at what point they turn from informing the public to influencing populations, is far from clear.
The roadmap, however, gives a flavour of what the US military is up to - and the grand scale on which it's thinking.
It reveals that Psyops personnel "support" the American government's international broadcasting. It singles out TV Marti - a station which broadcasts to Cuba - as receiving such support.
It recommends that a global website be established that supports America's strategic objectives. But no American diplomats here, thank you. The website would use content from "third parties with greater credibility to foreign audiences than US officials".
It also recommends that Psyops personnel should consider a range of technologies to disseminate propaganda in enemy territory: unmanned aerial vehicles, "miniaturized, scatterable public address systems", wireless devices, cellular phones and the internet.
'Fight the net'
When it describes plans for electronic warfare, or EW, the document takes on an extraordinary tone.
It seems to see the internet as being equivalent to an enemy weapons system.
"Strategy should be based on the premise that the Department [of Defense] will 'fight the net' as it would an enemy weapons system," it reads.
The slogan "fight the net" appears several times throughout the roadmap.
The authors warn that US networks are very vulnerable to attack by hackers, enemies seeking to disable them, or spies looking for intelligence.
"Networks are growing faster than we can defend them... Attack sophistication is increasing... Number of events is increasing."
US digital ambition
And, in a grand finale, the document recommends that the United States should seek the ability to "provide maximum control of the entire electromagnetic spectrum".
US forces should be able to "disrupt or destroy the full spectrum of globally emerging communications systems, sensors, and weapons systems dependent on the electromagnetic spectrum".
Consider that for a moment.
The US military seeks the capability to knock out every telephone, every networked computer, every radar system on the planet.
Are these plans the pipe dreams of self-aggrandising bureaucrats? Or are they real?
The fact that the "Information Operations Roadmap" is approved by the Secretary of Defense suggests that these plans are taken very seriously indeed in the Pentagon.
And that the scale and grandeur of the digital revolution is matched only by the US military's ambitions for it.
A Fearful Master
We're fighting for "freedom" in Iraq – but certain Web sites are off limits to U.S. soldiers
by Justin Raimondo
"Government is not reason," George Washington reputedly said, "it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." The fear factor works both ways: the present administration has spent a great deal of time and energy on scaring us half to death with tales of imminent terrorist attacks – especially around election time – but they, in turn, stand in fear of their own subjects, particularly the ones in uniform. That is why the Pentagon is now censoring the Internet, declaring certain Web sites – including those of some major news organizations – off limits to military personnel. Check out this e-mail from a U.S. soldier in Iraq (via Wonkette):
"Just to let you know, the US Marines have blocked access to 'Wonkette' along with numerous other sites such as personal email (i.e. Yahoo, AT&T, Hotmail, etc), blogs that don't agree with the government point of view, personal websites, and some news organizations. This has taken effect as of the beginning of February. I have no problem with them blocking porn sites (after all it is a government network), but cutting off access to our email and possibly-not-toeing-the-government-line websites is a bit much.
"Initially all web blocking was done locally at the hub sites in Iraq. If you wanted a site 'unblocked' you just had to email the local administrator with a reason (like, 'I'd like to read my email, please.'), and if it wasn't porn or offensive, they'd allow it. Now, all blocking is done by desk-weenies at the USMC Network Operations Center in Quantico, VA, who really don't care if we get our email (or gossip) out here, as they get to go to happy hour after working 9 to 5 and go home to a nice clean, warm home with a real bed! (Sorry, I'm a little peeved.)"
So, we're fighting for "freedom" in Iraq – according to George W. Bush and those desk weenies over at The Weekly Standard – but we don't practice what we preach when it comes to our own enlisted personnel. America's fighting men and women aren't just being asked to sacrifice their physical well-being, including possibly their very lives, but their freedom, too.
I suppose it's possible to justify anything under the rubric of "military discipline," but one can't help thinking that the impetus for this clampdown was a noticeable uptick of antiwar dissent within the ranks. That recent poll reporting that over 70 percent of our troops on the ground in Iraq want us out by the end of the year shocked even me: it must have sent the boys in the Pentagon into gibbering conniptions.
Yes, the whole world is afraid of the U.S. military – and that includes our rulers in Washington, who stand in such fear that their armed servants will discover the truth about this rotten war that they have resorted to censoring the Internet. Hey, what is this – Red China?
Actually, it's worse: the Chinese Reds block access to the kooky cultists of Falun Gong and Western accounts of the Tiananmen Square massacre: the range of what's forbidden is relatively narrow compared to the broad restrictions described above.
I don't know that Antiwar.com is among the blocked sites, but I'm assuming it is: I often get letters from U.S. military personnel, but none, suspiciously, directly from Iraq. Hmm… At any rate, perhaps someone reading this will write in to correct me, but if we aren't among the censored sites I'd be very much surprised.
The Zogby poll of U.S. soldiers in Iraq noted that 77 percent said they also believe the main or a major reason for the war was "to stop Saddam from protecting al-Qaeda in Iraq." What happens when they discover that this is a lie?
The War Party can't afford to take chances with the body of armed men and women that is the source of their power, and it is no wonder they are doing their best to shield the troops from the truth. Because when our soldiers discover how and why they were lied into war, and when most of them are on their second and even their third tour of duty in Iraq, they are bound to get pretty angry – and who knows but that they just might decide to do something about it.
That is every ruling class's worst nightmare: the day their own servants turn against them. When that happens, we call it a revolution.
It's funny, but the minute some obscure blogger in some godforsaken Third World hellhole with no tradition of civil liberties is shut down by the authorities, the entire blogosphere is up in arms, firing off outraged e-mails of protest. And when Google compromised with the Chinese government's attempts to censor search engine results within its territory, the outcry was immediate. Yet we hear nary a peep out of these prophets of cyber-freedom when it comes to the efforts of their government to limit American citizens' access to the Internet.
Gee, why am I not surprised that Glenn Reynolds, Roger L. Simon, and all the rest of the Usual Suspects have yet to leap to the defense of an American soldier's right to surf the Internet unconstrained by meddling desk weenies? Why has the usually voluble Christopher Hitchens said nothing about this outrage? Doesn't he support our troops?
And what about those desk weenies in Congress, you know, the ones who gave George W. Bush a blank check to wage a war based on a lie. Oh, but we didn't know they were lying, our congresscritters cavil: they had us fooled! Then why, one hastens to ask, do they sit passively by while the U.S. government prevents its own citizens from learning the truth?
There is no way the warlords of Washington – or any government – can control the Internet. This is true because of the nature of the technology, and also because the very act of forbidding something makes it attractive – especially to Americans, a cantankerous and inherently anarchic people who don't like being told what they can or cannot know.
Our rulers live in constant fear: of exposure, of rebellion, of the sudden realization on the part of their subjects that the game is rigged in favor of a self-perpetuating elite. One day, the people simply refuse to go along with the rules and start breaking them en masse: it happened to the Soviet Empire, and it can happen to us.
Of course they're trying to interfere with access to the Internet – I'm only surprised they are limiting their efforts to military personnel in Iraq. After all, the Pentagon has come up with a program to counteract the power of the Internet to spread the truth about this rotten war, appropriately dubbed "fight the net," including the development of "computer network attack systems."
Hostility to the untrammeled freedom of the Internet is a bipartisan phenomenon. Remember what Hillary Clinton said about the issue back in 1998, as she accused Matt Drudge of spreading lies when he was exposing her husband as a serial slut and brazen perjurer?
"'We are all going to have to rethink how we deal with this, because there are always competing values. There's no free decision that I'm aware of anywhere in life, and certainly with technology that's the case.'
"Although technology's new developments are 'exciting,' Hillary continued, 'There are a number of serious issues without any kind of editing function or gatekeeping function. What does it mean to have the right to defend your reputation.'"
What it means, one is tempted to reply, is that you can set up your own Web site to refute the "lies" – the answer to false or hurtful speech is not censorship but more speech, i.e., a debate. But tyrants aren't interested in debates: their whole shtick is to limit debate as much as possible. And that is the instinct of any and all governments everywhere, be they dictatorships or democracies.
In the end, however, the truth will come out: they can't hermetically seal their own soldiers in a womb-like cocoon of ignorance, at least not for very long. Through contacts with family and friends, word is bound to get out of what is really going on with this war – and with a foreign policy that has nothing to do with fighting terrorism, least of all protecting the continental U.S. from al-Qaeda. The War Party's crude attempts to circumvent the truth and create their own reality is bound to fail and backfire badly in their faces.
I'm hoping at least some one or two in this group get the opportunity to peruse the above posts before they are offed by ...
This reminds me of the Jessica Lynch story.. (read between the lines)
Did you ever wonder why Jessi never made a public statement about her military career? Maybe.. (I'm Canadian so what do I know) it had something to do with her brother being shipped to Iraq within a couple of weeks of her homecoming.

Have a good Saturday...or Sunday for those on the 'other side of the Pacific'. LOL!
LOL! well almost. it's still Saturday, but 11.41pm as I write.
Lunar observation: its a beautiful crescent, translated from local Malay language as a "sickle moon". Remember that smudge on the north-east quadrant we saw last month? I see it (uncorrected with glasses) on the SOUTH east now.
Hope y'all go check it out later, and we compare notes (or bad eyesight as the case may be, corrected by glasses or the faithful doobie).
I think the cause lies in our eyes. But why are our eyes all screwed-up (or screwed-on)with the same defects?
hmmmm..........more doobies for the contemplation. hissss......ah :D OOOOOOO
Sunking...."spider" cage.......hmmmmm. Well, be careful and accept no Parlor invites! LOL
I think the NASA budget cuts would be a great blog, too.
Wayne, very overcast here today. Cloudy, so I can't see if they're busy above or not. Going to an outdoor party today, so will be keeping my eyes open AND my trusted camera will be by my side!

Right or Wrong, B_U is probably having a bad day - his posts taken down, his personal details posted and now, the first of the 'founding members' is banned from FSHOD.
I'm glad to see The Fool (no offense intended) has time to post - and happy to see the 16th Amendment's real intent is being brought back to life. Wages are not "income". Income is passive. The real intent was along the lines "of those who have much, much is expected".
We know about timid and protective reportage in our generation because we saw the finesse during the Iraq War. Slowly the ban on truth is lifted and people start waking up, which happened after WWII and during Vietnam.
Now, in the beginning of the Iraq hangover, where the most difficult thing to overcome is the asymmetry of knowledge, which brings context. For the elites who don't fight wars, because, like the Roman Senators, they're busy staggering from 'the baths to the theatre', Wars are fought for one of two reasons : for benefit, or to thin out the herd.
If the Iraq War is not to compensate for lack of economic imagination and laziness, then maybe we need to re-examine "benefit" - and say that the elites must always benefit from war, but none really give a rodent's rump about the middle and lower classes who fight the wars and bury their sons. What I'm getting at is, high gas prices benefit the stakeholders in Big Oil, which is Old Money and Big Business. The blue chippers on the back nine found a way to solve the unemployment AND get rich.
Too bad the media hasn't noticed ... they trust economics to the financial elite - but the surgeons are corrupt butchers - they're international slum landlords now and no longer care about the survival of the patient (the USA).
The media is like a dream machine for the rich. The ballet, the theatre, especially the choreography at the Olympics opening & closing ceremonies has ALWAYS been by the rich (of one country) FOR the rich (of another country). Russian stories told, danced, played or acted out to French audiences, the French stories to Broadway in New York - always with the same pattern : popular exaggerations steered to reinforce the power structure.
It's interesting those who rush to point out all the coincidences have no interest in tying the practice to the past. The Olympics and NASA et al would be well served to pay people to Blog and Post about their Imperial traditions first, to get the sanitized spin without the obviously Imperial roots.

(MIB2) Here's a story that never happened, from one of their files that never existed.
A two-sided armoured division exercise held in River Kwai, Thailand. Sometime in 2000. Purpose: to see if the reservist units can meet the C3I expectations of the career soldiers (who mostly were the exercise umpires)
Orders were: to maintain radio silence until commencement of hostilities, then try to clobber each other.
To cut the story short: Division 'A' maintained TOTAL RADIO SILENCE during the battle; while 'B''s units were trying to hear themselves over the screaming on their own radio network.
Exercise umpires were shocked: Divison B was "wiped out", without a word spoken from Division A.
The secret: these reservists from 'A' had made their plans much earlier in Singapore: They went to Thailand will all their cell-phones on IDD global roaming and they were communicating from division HQ level right down to tank-level using SMS, personal laptops fitted to cells to use Yahoo Messenger , hotmail to broadcast orders and the likes. They were not using the army-issued radios, encrypted or not.
Cell phones have been banned from exercises since. To win, youve gotta get dirty.
The power of the net.
osotp,
Should be somewhat clear here tonight too. Will check the "smudge" naked eye. I wonder what that is? Hmmmm. Lots of that today. :)
Right on spider!

spidy, if you could, take a pic of the moon and blog it.
We can enlarge the image and see if the smudge is for real. It looked to me like the earth casting a shadow on the south-east.
A dangerous oxymoron: The THINKING soldier.
OSOTP...good idea and I'll see what I can get. Hopefully, this cloud cover will burn off and I can get some clear shots. I'll keep ya posted on my success or failure.

Iran invites foreign bids for offshore gas field
The Iranian National Oil Company has placed four international tenders for the development of phases 19 to 22 of South Pars, the largest offshore field in the world.
Last month, Iran said that Anglo-Dutch energy giant Shell, France's Total and Spanish firm Repsol would "soon" sign contracts to develop phases 11 and 13.

Speaking of nasa. this is from Gerald T at his Mars Rlay Station. Gerald is still mining great artifacts from rover pics at;
http://marsrelaystation.blogspot.com/
"An artifact is useuly seen by the 360 degree low resolution Nav cam first., most of the time it is far away and quite blurry due to the intentionally designed built in suckyness of this particular camera.
Spirit is then instructed to do the following.
A. Beat a hasty retreat, driving away as far as possible with out stopping. This happened quite a number of times with large 10 foot plus artifacts that were photographed by the Nav Cam.
B. Skirt around the object, and take only a limited 180 spread shot with the Nav Cam the following day, pointed away from the strange object. So the Rover is right next to the artifact, but no further photos are taken.
In no case whatsoever has the high definition Pan cam been directed to take a shot of the object in question.
Until recently, it has now become apparent that NASA is getting more comfortable with the level of stupidity of the plebeian masses.
They get high Res shots of all sorts of artifacts now, I guess they don’t care any more, as well that should, if the story has not broken by now, it is not going to ever get out.
People are just too dumb I guess, kind of sad really, the human race held such promise."
I'm still a little surprised by the banishment of B_U

FSHOD of a person(ality) is something other.
There is a stream of 'comment deleted by Administrator'
were all those posts offensive in some way ?

crypt02,
BU ignored my wishes to desist with the venom of his posts, and change the topic. He was going over the line, not simply discussing issues with Zionism, the Holocaust, the financial/political/power aspects of the Jews, etc. There was way, way too much anti-semitic hate speech.
Then he decided to shove it up my ass by insinuating that I was a shill of the Zionists and oppressor of the highest order...and he did it repeatedly, over multiple days. IT WENT OVER THE LINE! And he continues to post nonsensical BS.
I told him not to fuck with me, he did...he's gone. Simple as that.
I cannot stop him from posting, but I will delete every post he makes.
Doesn't mean I like doing it, Crypto...goes against the grain and all that...but my decision is firm.
End of subject.

The surprise is to find out the FSHOD is an anti-personnel device, not an offensive post removal tool.
B_U's posts were provocative and yes, the choice of topic may inspire cynicism and repulsion for some.
I don't think anyone reading this Blog would say B_U has malleable convictions. The Holocaust notwithstanding, the whole topic of Jews ruling the world is a red herring, concocted by paranoid elitists. Cosmopolitan Intellectuals dressing up their ideas to either (a) look like Bible prophecy or, (b) crafted to appear to emanate from illiterate opportunists. Preferably both.
Some researchers see a blue-print, others see a cautionary tale - and a Blog is like a study group : the winning team is the one with the more wide ranging diversity of opinion & experience. I take the view that, "We are enormous, we can contain contradiction". Specialists are a dime a dozen - a generalist, which is what B_U qualifies as (good or bad) who can tie it all together is a rare commodity. For B_U, venom was an ingredient to make a point and/or serve the provocateur role he was Blogging. Is that such a bad thing ? Just how bad a thing it was is deleted ... I recall Jesus saying 'may he who is without sin cast the first stone' and other things like, it is the job of the true teacher to torment and to offend. People who read as much as B_U has read, have hard-won facts that are valuable to a Blog (like this one) seeking to find the truth. I know you didn't like doing it, but maybe it's preferable to democratize the process of declaring a poster/blogger 'persona non-grata' ... why re-invent the wheel when we can import all those standards : right to face your accuser, convicted by a jury of peers and punishment to suit the crime. Call the 24hrs B_U spent in the cold "a Section 8" and we'll all know for next time ... ?
Anyways, what I wanted to post for the public interest :
The Book of Predictions in 1980, Andrew Greeley, a Catholic priest suggested the Soviet Union would be overthrown internally in 1990. David Sullivan, a Soviet foreign policy analyst for the CIA guessed that by 1990, "the US will have ceased to be a great power and will be struggling to hold itself together as a nation". Either the CIA got it wrong deliberately, or, they are the absolute WORST students of history and economics EVER. Is anyone aware of the CIA "getting it right" on anything ? Maybe John has a top-3 or top-5 list of the CIA's greatest accomplishments in serving and protecting.
Between August 26 and September 11, 2001, a group of speculators, identified by the American Securities and Exchange Commission as Israeli citizens, sold 'short' a list of 38 stocks that could reasonably be expected to fall in value as a result of the pending attacks.
crypto2, get over it! It is done. Decision made. Move on!
The links between the US and Israel go back to 1492.
The purpose of Christopher Columbus and colonization of the Americas : to recapture the Holy Lands. Interesting that they were optimistic about Jerusalem in 1492, when Constantinople fell in 1457. In 1492, it didn't appear the Christians were going to take it back anytime soon - unless they had a plan ...
All colonies have a mother country. Israel was created by Great Britain, just like the US (which was a caesarean section). The USA is the brainchild of the Order of the Garter and for the creation of Israel, the world was ruled by an Anglo-American Establishment.
Zionism = the support for a Jewish homeland. If Zionism is verboten, then maybe we should strip it down and persist with the questions, like, "why is the US supporting Israel ?" Is it some kind of destiny that goes back to 1492 ? Bush Sr talked about a New World Order Sept 11, 1991 = 499 years (equals the 500th year). The Sept 11 hi-jackings marked that anniversary and could be given a God or Bible cover-story.
Continued support of Israel through land-grabs and genocide is the real question. Per Capita ... Israel is the #1 recipient of US military aid, true, but Israel's main enemy in the 1967 and 1973 wars, Egypt, is #2. Interesting that #3 is Armenia, the first Christian kingdom, established in 300AD. Also, Georgia is #4, which was the second Christian kingdom established in about 350AD. What I can is little stories about the physical transplantation, like how a Christian can justify their faith by drawing a straight line leaving Jerusalem that would pass through old world to new world duplicate place names. For example, Biblical Philadelphia, now in Turkey, and the first US Capitol at Independence Hall at Philadelphia, PA.
ok, crypto...so mote it be.
On the basis of my respect for you (And on THAT basis only), and the fact that you seem to be lobbying for B_U allowing B_U to continue to participate in FSHOD, I'll allow you, B_U, a conditional return.
The conditions:
- Behave like a gentleman,
- debate issues responsibly,
- write posts that make sense,
- be less the provacatuer and more the persuader,
- if I say 'Cool it' then work with me and get along.
If I determine you're not living up to the deal, you walk the plank.
Agreed, B_U?
Fair enough, Crypt0?
Wayne,
As I look at the pic, on my left I see what looks like the top of a tank, segmented, with a middle section...is that what you meant. (When you said 'right' I took it to mean MY right.)
Also on MY right, at the edge of the near horizon, facing the hills beyond, is a gumdrop-shaped 'rock, looks rather large...my first impression was the back of an Easter Island statue's head. lol

I know of a show that's really good at portraying a massive government conspiracy to hide the truth from people, so that the president could stay in power and rule with Draconian tactics. I'll tell you what it is in a later post, but first, anyone who wants to guess which show I'm referring to, is welcome to do so...

Look for the flat rocks with indentations filled with sand-something

Something gouging out lines, was it voltage? There is also

Gore Vidal, now there's a guy who 'gets it' !!
Why ?
He's dangerous because he remembers the REAL reason America was "great"
when politicians at least TRIED to be seen as putting voters first !!
When the population still expected the US to behave like a Republic.
There aren't enough people like the octogenarian, Gore Vidal
He's so old, that he wrote about being gay in the WWII military ...
His most recent book is, "Imperial America"
There are at least two posters here who indicated that they had a copy of Behold a Pale Horse. S and S as I recall. I probed each of these publicly to disclose (several times) as the book is not available anywhere. Now after many months of hoping something would come forward..and did not..I found the book..finally..and it is in audio..GO F..igure..

Wayne,
As I look at the pic, on my left I see what looks like the top of a tank, segmented, with a middle section...is that what you meant. (When you said 'right' I took it to mean MY right.)
Also on MY right, at the edge of the near horizon, facing the hills beyond, is a gumdrop-shaped 'rock, looks rather large...my first impression was the back of an Easter Island statue's head. lol
Saturday, March 04, 2006 11:03:16 PM
On the first link, toward the right side of the pic. When I had this on my screen I had it zoomed, which on my box let's me click it once and it jumps to full size. I'm just covering the bases as I just assume everyone can click on it and it becomes full size. And yes your right. Maybe you see something different? Maybe the gumdrop shaped rock is you seeing what I saw? Tough to say without looking st it with you.

B_U,
OK...here is a fair example of what I find annoying. What are you saying? Don't make us read between all the lines you write.
Why the 'non-gay' reference? It adds nothing to the understandability of your post, which is less than understandable and serves no purpose, and leads the reader to think your are being anti-gay....maybe not even that, but is seems to set a negative tone.
I deleted your posts! I have the admin status! I am the HammerHand, the Gom Jabbar! (hehe)
We can talk about ararchy here, that's cool. But don't be anarchic with ME, a co-conspirator in fucking with reality...I will bring an FSHOD Jihad on yer ass.

OK wayne, that looks like the gas-tank I was talking about. Something melted on it? Or almost like some sand-encrusted cloth covering it. And right next to it looks something like the skull of an alligator.
On the Effa_manley_1_Full pic, expand the pic, then go all the way to your right, then go up...just about in the center of the pic, you'll see the GumDrop.
And to the right of that, about an inch fro the edge of the pic, is a Bent Pyramid looking rock.
I've seen a few of these pics and not all are so...full of odd stuff? This one is thought-provoking.
Heres an easier view of the GumDrop & the Pyramid.

Speaking of the Cdn. military..what are they doing in Afghanistan? Who committed our troops to the middle east? I don't recall that subject in the election a few weeks back. Now we have 666 here in Kamloops on an Afghan simulated training mission called Cougar Salvo. I recently heard a military recruiter say on CBC that anyone who wants to emigrate to Canada would be fast tracked if they would do some time in the military first. There are recruiter vehicles plying the streets here in town. Their website is plastered over their 4X4's. The total number of Cdn troops is 200,000. Two thousand are already in Afghanistan. Cdn. brass has taken the lead hand in that country. Two dead shipped home yesterday and 9 wounded last week. What were they thinking? A lieutenant from B.C. was nearly decapitated by an axe wielding Afghani on a suicide mission. The suicide was a success. I wonder what happened to due process? The Lieut. is in Germany for repairs.
The greatest fear that Ceasar had was when "hardened" soldiers returned home from the field.

“Well,” says Vonnegut, “I just want to say that George W. Bush is the syphilis president.”
The students seem to agree.
“The only difference between Bush and Hitler,” Vonnegut adds, “is that Hitler was elected.”
“You all know, of course, that the election was stolen. Right here.”
Off to a flying start, Vonnegut explains that this will be his “last speech for money.” He can’t remember the first one, but it was on a campus long, long ago, and this will be the end.
The students are hushed with the prospect of the final appearance of America’s greatest living novelist. Alongside Mark Twain and Ben Franklin, Will Rogers and Joseph Heller and a very short list of immortal satirists and storytellers, there stands Kurt Vonnegut, author of SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE and SIRENS OF TITAN, CAT’S CRADLE and GOD BLESS YOU, MR. ROSEWATER, books these students are studying now, as did their parents, as will their children and grandchildren, with a deeply felt mixture of gratitude and awe.
Nobody tonight seems to think they were in for a detached, scholarly presentation from a disengaged academic genius coasting on his incomparable laurels
“I’m lucky enough to have known a great president, one who really cared about ALL the people, rich and poor. That was Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was rich himself, and his class considered him a traitor.
“We have people in this country who are richer than whole countries,” he says. “They run everything.
“We have no Democratic Party. It’s financed by the same millionaires and billionaires as the Republicans.
“So we have no representatives in Washington. Working people have no leverage whatsoever.
“I’m trying to write a novel about the end of the world. But the world is really ending! It’s becoming more and more uninhabitable because of our addiction to oil.
“Bush used that line recently,” Vonnegut adds. “I should sue him for plagiarism.”
Things have gotten so bad, he says, “people are in revolt again life itself.”
Our economy has been making money, but “all the money that should have gone into research and development has gone into executive compensation. If people insist on living as if there’s no tomorrow, there really won’t be one.
“As the world is ending, I’m always glad to be entertained for a few moments. The best way to do that is with music. You should practice once a night.
“If you want really want to hurt your parents and don’t want to be gay, go into the arts,” he says.
Then he breaks into song, doing a passable, tender rendition of “Stardust Memories.”
By this time this packed hall has grown reverential. The sound system is appropriately tenuous. Straining to hear every word is both an effort and a meditation.
“To hell with the advances in computers,” he says after he finishes singing. “YOU are supposed to advance and become, not the computers. Find out what’s inside you. And don’t kill anybody.
“There are no factories any more. Where are the jobs supposed to come from? There’s nothing for people to do anymore. We need to ask the Seminoles: ‘what the hell did you do?’’ after the tribe’s traditional livelihood was taken away.
Answering questions written in by students, he explains the meaning of life. “We should be kind to each other. Be civil. And appreciate the good moments by saying ‘If this isn’t nice, what is?’
“You’re awful cute” he says to someone in the front row. He grins and looks around. “If this isn’t nice, what is?
“You’re all perfectly safe, by the way. I took off my shoes at the airport. The terrorists hate the smell of feet.
“We are here on Earth to fart around,” he explains, and then embarks on a soliloquy about the joys of going to the store to buy an envelope. One talks to the people there, comments on the “silly-looking dog,” finds all sorts of adventures along the way.
As for being a midwesterner, he recalls his roots in nearby Indianapolis, a heartland town, the next one west of here. “I’m a fresh water person. When I swim in the ocean, I feel like I’m swimming in chicken soup. Who wants to swim in flavored water?”
A key to great writing, he adds, is to “never use semi-colons. What are they good for? What are you supposed to do with them? You’re reading along, and then suddenly, there it is. What does it mean? All semi-colons do is suggest you’ve been to college.”
Make sure, he adds, “that your reader is having a good time. Get to the who, when, where, what right away, so the reader knows what is going on.”
As for making money, “war is a very profitable thing for a few people. Jesus used to be so merciful and loving of the poor. But now he’s a Republican.
“Our economy today is not capitalism. It’s casino-ism. That’s all the stock market is about. Gambling.
“Live one day at a time. Say ‘if this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is!’
“You meet saints every where. They can be anywhere. They are people behaving decently in an indecent society.
“I’m going to sue the cigarette companies because they haven’t killed me,” he says. His son lived out his dream to be a pilot and has spent his career flying for Continental. Now they’ve “screwed up his pension.”
The greatest peace, Vonnegut wraps up, “comes from the knowledge that I have enough. Joe Heller told me that.
“I began writing because I found myself possessed. I looked at what I wrote and I said ‘How the hell did I do that?’
“We may all be possessed. I hope so.”
He accepts the students’ standing ovation with characteristic dignity and grace. Not a few tears flow from young people with the wisdom to appreciate what they are seeing. “If this isn’t nice, we don’t know what is.”
Not long ago we spoke on the phone. I asked Kurt how he was. “Too fucking old,” he replied.
Maybe so. But the mind and soul are still there, powerful and penetrating as ever. Just as they’ll ever be in his books and stories and the precious records of his wonderful talks.

Are you ready to be bugged and tortured by George W. Bush?
January 19, 2006
It's not really terrorists George W. Bush wants to bug and torture. It's YOU.
It's not really terrorism he wants to fight. It's opposition from people he can't control.
It's not really US security he wants to protect. It's the power of his regime.
The Constitutional debate about whether these executive privileges are allowable in war is a smoke screen.
This isn't about war: It's about dictatorship. It’s about making power permanent by using private information against you, and by terrifying you with torture.
Team Bush believes it rules by Divine right. It has already re-defined "terrorist" to mean anyone who questions its power. It will use "anti-terrorist" wiretapping as a tool against anyone who dares oppose it.

Spraying started today in the later pm as winds died down that were coming out of the NW. We are expecting a new front from the west. The spraying when started had planes flying from like a central point in a pattern looking as if you had your fingers all spread out. The energy around here was great when they were not spraying and the sky was beautiful. Haze is developing overhead as the trails dispserse and I can feel the heaviness coming down as the spraying continues overnight. I am sure I will not feel great tomorrow as I am sure the spraying will contunue.

Hi Wayne,
No spraying for the last few days here, but I don't think that will last. It was odd that there was no spraying here before the last storm. The track of the jet stream has seemed to have shifted since the last storm as well. There was a dip to the south and then the storms running up the coast, now it seems straight west to east. It's my opinion that they manipulate the jet more than individual storms. If you look at the national radar it's an odd looking pattern with the fronts running NW to SE instead of the reverse which is more the norm.
Just one more thing the gov't is screwing with. They just can't seem to leave stuff alone.

When was the last time we listened? Not to each other, although that would be helpful, but to the signals out there?
The Mars images ... there is a message there...
Space sounds sound mechanical and unreproducible? Do you "see" or "hear" the other civilisations?
We know Mars had, perhaps still has, seas of methane that etched the stones like water does here on Earth.
We know Mars has very volatile electric storms that can etch the abundant iron ore and has enough voltage for electrodeposition.
But to HEAR what is on Mars, that is the key.
Can you hear me now?
what??
embedded sounds?
coded in music?
transmissions directly?
mars resonating?
got a freq in mind?
what??
is mars SINGING??
"X",
I can hear you. You sound remarkably like Richard C. Hoagland. You're suggesting that the etched stones may be not unlike grooves on a record and that the possibility of learning the secrets of Mars depends on whether or not we can play the grooves and hear what it has to say.
I also would like to see the next blog be on the woes of NASA. I'd love to see Bohemia do it, but I'd hate to see him lose his job by doing so. If NASA is putting that much energy in limiting what someone can or cannot say, it isn't hard to imagine that their communications are being monitored. But then if that's the case, what keeps him from losing his job anyway everytime we get a new set of links and other informative posts? I've often wondered about that because I don't want his posts to stop.
But if it were possible to do so, a blog from Bohemia certainly has the best vantage point of the current workings of what used to be NASA. Any Star Trek fan who ever hoped that NASA would evolve into something resembling Roddenberry's vision of the future would be deeply disappointed by the current goings on. If that seems perfectly obvious, that is because it is.
For the planet to survive into anything resembling that kind of bright future we need a fully functioning NASA and not an empty shell. Especially where environmental sciences are concerned. Space won't be much of a final frontier if we don't survive long enough to explore it.
That too is obvious. Apparently, it's my intent to state the obvious today. The obvious is the best I can do for the moment.

George Orwell remains a valuable writer, though he died in 1950. He was a man who was an active participant in his times, and since the new century appears to be going down the same road as the last one, we can still learn from him.
His essay "Politics and the English Language" ought to be read by every journalist and by everyone who reads journalists or listens to the babble on television.
"The great enemy of clear language is insincerity," he wrote. "When there is a gap between one's real and one's declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish squirting out ink."
"In our age, there is no such thing as 'keeping out of politics.' All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred, and schizophrenia," Orwell wrote. Earlier in the essay he had said, "In our time, political speech and writing are largely the defense of the indefensible."

Grokking the bird flu hype:
An article in the paper (buried on page 10) made a big deal of a cat dying of the bird flu in Turkey I believe. The same article went on to point out that those tracking the virus are 'worried' about the virus showing up in other mammals such as pigs. Pigs are especially worrisome as it is from there that the jump to humans will be easiest. Remember the swine flu?
Questions and suspicions
Does someone have this virus ready to be planted in humans already mutated and able to spread from person to person?
Have they already planted it in pigs waiting for it to mutate up the line of mammals?
Or more ominous, are they just holding it back waiting for the opportune moment to unleash it, so they can 'save us'?
Whatever the answers to the above it is all scarey.

Heads-up! The updates from my last posting on the previous blog have been expired by NASA. Expired means pulled off the NASA internal newsgroup server. There were also multiple other articles that were expired as well. These articles were, if I recall correctly, in the areas of environmental research, Deep Impact, a few Mars articles which I did not get to review, CloudSat, the photo of the Eastern scarp of Olympus Mons, and StarDust. I am thankful to have posted the updates, at least they still live on.

The most powerful camera ever to orbit Mars will relay its first images of the planet to scientists at Tucson's University of Arizona in about two weeks.
The High-Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera -- the largest telescopic camera ever sent to another planet -- is flying aboard NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO).
Before the camera begins operating, however, MRO must go into orbit around the red planet.
MARCH 10 MARS ORBIT INSERTION 'WATCH PARTY'
MRO will fire its engine thrusters at 2:24 p.m. Mountain time Friday, March 10, slowing to enter Mars' orbit. As this happens, HiRISE scientists will carefully monitor temperatures inside the camera to be sure that it isn't damaged by extreme heat or cold.
And you can see it happen.
Scientists, including HiRISE team leader Alfred S. McEwen, a professor in UA's Lunar and Planetary Laboratory (LPL), will describe the events as they unfold. The public is invited to join them at a "Mars Watch" party, which includes live mission coverage from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., shown on large screen. Mars Watch will be held UA's Kuiper Space Sciences Building, Room 308, from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. March 10.
They also will explain and demonstrate how they operate the HiRISE camera from their science operations center, HiROC, at UA. More information about the watch party can be found online at
http://hiroc.lpl.arizona.edu/watchparty , or call 520-626-7432.
APRIL 8 'MARS MANIA II'
On April 8, LPL and HiRISE scientists will celebrate MRO's arrival at Mars during a public program, "Mars Mania II." The event will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the UA campus. Hands-on educational activities are offered for youngsters, and adults are invited to a star party, educational displays, and talks by Professor McEwen and other scientists. Details on this Saturday event are available online at http://hiroc.lpl.arizona.edu/marsmania. Contact Loretta McKibben, 520-626-7432, loretta@lpl.arizona.edu.
WEEK OF MARCH 20 - FIRST HiRISE IMAGES AT HiROC
HiRISE scientists will power the HiRISE camera the week of March 20, and it will begin taking pictures 18 hours later. The HiRISE camera will take pictures during two orbits. NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory mission specialists will decide exactly which orbits will be HiRISE imaging orbits after Mars orbit insertion on March 10.
These will be the camera's only photos for the next six months because it will be turned off while the spacecraft "aerobrakes." This involves dipping repeatedly into the upper atmosphere to scrub off speed and drop into successively more circular orbits.
The first images will be highly experimental because the team is trying a number of algorithms and systems for the first time, so things could go wrong, McEwen said. "However, we are sure to learn important lessons about how to operate the spacecraft and HiRISE."
Also, the geometries of the early orbits may be less than ideal for the HiRise camera's test-image swath. And there's a chance that atmospheric dust or ice hazes could obscure the surface because it's early fall in the southern hemisphere.
The camera will take pictures of the middle latitudes of the southern hemisphere, a region where many geologically recent gullies have been seen, gullies possibly carved by water. Researchers won't know the exact area they'll photograph until the spacecraft is safely captured into orbit around Mars.
The camera's first images will be taken when the MRO is flying between about 2,500 miles and 600 miles (4,000 km and 1,000 km) above the planet. After aerobraking, the camera will fly just outside the planet's atmosphere at only 190 miles (about 300 km) above the surface.
Some of the camera's first targets next fall will be of potential landing sites for UA's Phoenix Mission lander, which is slated to reach the Martian surface in May 2008. This Scout-class lander mission is led by LPL scientist Peter Smith. The Phoenix Mission will communicate with Earth using MRO's high-data-rate relay.
These first images will reach UA at the HiRISE Operations Center (HiROC), where scientists will be remotely controlling the camera. HiROC is in the C. P. Sonett Space Sciences Building, 1541 E. University Blvd, and its operations include observation planning, uplink, downlink, instrument monitoring, and data processing and analysis.
"The first views should be the sharpest, with minimal blurring from spacecraft motions," said HiROC manager Eric Eliason. The second orbit images, or "jitter" images, will be taken to show how vibrations from other spacecraft instruments affect HiRISE images, Eliason added.
"We want to acquire images of Mars that fill the 20,000-pixel wide field-of-view so we can learn how to best process these huge images," McEwen said. "We'll acquire the images at altitudes higher than 1,000 kilometers (about 600 miles), so the resolution will be worse than a meter-per-pixel scale, compared to the one-third meter-per-pixel resolution scale that we'll get in final orbit."
HiRISE: 'THE PEOPLE's CAMERA'
The HiROC team expects to process about 10,000 large-to-very-large, high-resolution images during the 25-month-long primary mission.
Members of the public will be able to suggest some of the imaging target sites using special Web software that will be available in a few months. For this reason, the HiRise camera is called the "people's camera." All images will be released as soon as possible to the public and scientific community after they are processed.
The 145-pound (65 kg) HiRISE camera features a 20-inch (half-meter) primary mirror. The $40 million camera, which was built by Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. in Boulder, Co., will take ultra-sharp photographs that cover 3.5-mile-wide (6 kilometer) swaths of the Martian landscape. Scientists will be able to see rocks and other geologic features in these photos that are as small as 40 inches (one meter) across.
The HiRISE camera will take pictures in stereo and color while it flies at more than 7,800 mph (3 and 1/2 km per second) in its final orbit.
Once in low-Mars orbit, MRO will examine the planet in unprecedented detail, returning more data than all previous Mars missions combined. Its instrument payload will study water distribution -- including ice, vapor and liquid -- as well as geologic features and minerals. The orbiter will also support future missions to Mars by examining potential landing sites and by providing a high-data-rate relay for communications back to Earth.

StarShipConstellation asked:
"... what keeps him (371 Bohemia) from losing his job anyway everytime we get a new set of links and other informative posts?"
Sunday, March 05, 2006 10:25:10 PM
My reply:
1. I do not use the JPL/NASAs computer networks.
2. I use an "anonymiser" software with SSL encryption.
3. I am very mobile.
I also am very concerned. It makes me work hard to ensure the relevant information escapes before the cone of eternal silence locks tightly.

StarShipConstellation requested:
"I also would like to see the next blog be on the woes of NASA. I'd love to see Bohemia do it, but I'd hate to see him lose his job by doing so."
Sunday, March 05, 2006 10:25:10 PM
My response:
Thank you for the concern. It is appreciated. I also am honoured and sincerely flattered. I do not know what I can add that has not already been posted or adequately covered by the media. I guess I could describe some inner-rumblings and discuss the sentiments and opinions at the many different levels.
It basically boils down to:
1. If the current budget is enacted, science and research is dead research, especially astrobiology and environmental studies -- which are both seemingly awaiting execution.
2. The university sector is going to be hardest hit. At NASA's urging and financing, many top universities built elaborate research facilities, particularly in astrobiology and other space science areas. When NASA pulls the funding teat from these universities, their programs will suffer. Eventually resulting in the cancellation and closing of many programs thereby effectively eliminating the potential of the next generation space researchers.
3. When the universities suffer, JPL will suffer. JPL is affiliated and partners with numerous research institutes and universities. JPL's funding will further be devastated.
4. This is more than a strong-arm political tactic from Johnson Space Centre in Houston, TX.
5. Many colleagues and co-workers feel that this is misdirection of resources. Many projects were nearing fruition ready to reveal amazing data after years of traveling and data collecting. The timing is ironically painful.
6. It takes 5 - 7 years R&D time, proof of concept, and NASA acceptance/approval for any CEV. Add to that another 5 - 7 years minimum for development, testing, troubleshooting, QA, and review.
7. We may never be at the stage to return to the Moon, Mars, and beyond if one takes into consideration our space shuttle maintenance and ISS obligations. If we lose this race, we will be subject to the winner. At present, China has a very good lead.
How's that for a "shoot"?

Bohemia, thanks for the updates. I had to laugh when I read the article right below the Mile Wide Asteroid article (at the link). The last paragraph for the Mile Wide Asteroid stated something to the effect that there was no chance of a collision and that there weren't any known asteroids on a collision course with earth and so on. NEXT article is about finding the biggest impact crater in the Sahara. Makes you feel confident, right? LOL Of course, it is just the "known" asteroids (those would be the ones they've TOLD us about, not necessarily all discovered) and they're finding new ones everyday, so who knows what lurks out there.
I also think you should do a story for the blog. You made a good start in your last post and I would love to hear about the "inner-rumblings" and "sentiments".

Sunday night is put the garbage can out night. Since yesterday evening they started spraying agin, taking the can out to the curb is a great oppoertunity to look up. And I see two planes laying em down. Weird thing is, the two planes a vitrually on the same flight path. The distance between them was about the width of my hand doing a hang 10 sign (the one with the thumb and pinky extended, the other three folded in) and what a fatty they laid. The upper level winds were moving fast as I could see them moving to the NNE very quickly.
This am has a hazy cloud cover like things are back to "normal".
Bryan, glad you saw the thing I was talking about. I know that it shouldn't look like it does or be there. Major oopart eh? Keep looking up and stay in phase.
Now for my evening post as blogger wouldn't let me in.
Thanks for the posts Bohemia, always appreciated. Hopefully, the data from MRO won't be bastardized but shared freely for all to see. The raw stuff, dassa what we want.! :)

NASA Update:
First, thanks to all for the positive comments!
Beginning now and continuing through the year, NASA is re-badging all employees, contractors, and sub-contractors with RFID enabled identification/access badges. These badges allows tracking of a workers movements at *ANY* NASA site. It is a *MANDATORY* badging process regardless when the last time one was badged. Ordinarily, NASA mandates rebadging for its workers every 2 - 3 years depending on contract and project. Supposedly the limits of the RFID are local to the site only. NASA claims it is impossible to track a badge-wearer once they leave the premises.
This has definitely raised concern for more than a few employees.
Also finger-printing and retna scanning is mandatory during this new re-badging process. The finger-printing and retna scans are new as of this year and has never been done before at any NASA affiliated location ... as are the RFID badges.
Thoughts? Comments? Feedback?
Enjoy!

as goes FSHOD, so goes the world.
Zionists believe that God mandates that they rule the world. They believe they are the Chosen Ones, and that they know what's best for humanity.
In reality, they are a bunch of ruthless thugs, con artists, and greedy psychopaths. They have started practically every major war, but they have dodged military service during their wars. A silly communications invention, called the Internet, is starting a groundswell of movement where the Zionists' frauds are discussed daily.
They pulled off 9/11 with no repercussions, they had America invade Iraq, and fairly soon they will set off World War 3.

Imagine, hundreds of odd looking, apparently artificial objects appearing in photos from the surface of Mars, and only one web site on Earth has not just daily coverage, but any coverage?
The Station is that site,

Dr Farouk El-Baz
He was called "the King" by the astronauts, but the 'why' was never explained, even by RCH. Though RCH did leave the usual breadcrumbs and 'stay tuned' advice, that was almost 10 YEARS AGO.
Apollo must have been a mining prospecting mission. Else, why bring him in to train the astronauts. Dr Farouk was a mining geologist, prior to his work at NASA and teaching. His credentials are impeccable.

The anointing oil used by Jesus and his disciples contained an ingredient called kaneh-bosem which has since been identified as cannabis extract, according to an article by Chris Bennett in the drugs magazine, High Times, entitled Was Jesus a Stoner? The incense used by Jesus in ceremonies also contained a cannabis extract, suggests Mr Bennett, who quotes scholars to back his claims.
"
Jesus 'healed using cannabis'
"
5.) The promised Deliverer is twice called the "Anointed" or Messiah (Ps. 2:2; Dan. 9:25, 26), because he was anointed with the Holy Ghost (Isa. 61:1), figuratively styled the "oil of gladness" (Ps.45:7; Heb. 1:9). Jesus of Nazareth is this anointed One (John 1:41; Acts 9:22;17:2, 3; 18:5, 28), the Messiah of the Old Testament.

anoint
The practice of anointing with perfumed oil was common among the Hebrews.
(1.) The act of anointing was significant of consecration to a holy or sacred use; hence the anointing of the high priest (Ex. 29:29; Lev. 4:3) and of the sacred vessels (Ex. 30:26). The high priest and the king are thus called "the anointed" (Lev. 4:3, 5, 16; 6:20; Ps. 132:10). Anointing a king was equivalent to crowning him (1 Sam. 16:13; 2 Sam. 2:4, etc.). Prophets were also anointed (1 Kings 19:16; 1 Chr. 16:22; Ps. 105:15). The expression, "anoint the shield" (Isa. 21:5), refers to the custom of rubbing oil on the leather of the shield so as to make it supple and fit for use in war.

THERE IS NO WAR ON TERRORISM
The bear is the U.S. government and media cover up of the 9/11 attacks. They never came close to proving that foreign "terrorists" were involved. Of all four missing planes' passenger manifests, not one Middle Easterner was on any of them. A jihadist who is bravely going to his death for the sake of his beliefs in Allah and Islam is a martyr and wants the whole world to know it. Martyr's families receive reverential praise and support in their communities for decades. Yet not one of the "terrorists" the American government insists were on the aircraft used their real names or were listed on the passenger lists. At least seven of the nineteen 'hijackers' are still alive.

If there was, the whole nation would be told to take up arms. Everybody would be armed, even on aircraft. Inexpensive AK47's would be stored in every closet, much like arms are stored in homes all over Switzerland because the Swiss government has nothing to fear from its populace. There is only a war against our freedom in the name of a created threat that doesn't exist. We have been duped into surrendering our liberty in the false name of security by a government that sends us out into the "War On Terror" unarmed because we cannot be trusted with guns. The most basic of all rights is the right of self defense against criminal attacks. A great equalizer between the weak and the strong, guns in the hands of women could reduce assaults upon them by stronger male attackers by 80%. How can it be said that women have equal rights if they cannot carry, yet Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush all hide behind guns for their protection because they're much more important than our wives, sisters and daughters? Again, the only 'war' is on our freedoms.

IonTruO2--> 'misdirection of resources', has a ring to it that brings me to wonder if they are preparing for something bigger or at least a transiton to a whole other emphasis?
You comment here as well Bohemia:

Thoughts? Comments? Feedback?
IonTruO2--> O.k. there are security measures, but many of you were already under a high level of screening and security. I ponder that these steps are adding up to a repositioning of funds to refine or perhaps redefine the scope of the Nasa effort, and THAT requires new measures and higher level security if the work becomes grander.
Previously we had seen an example of the discovery by one tier of scientist's, that a whole other level was already active in projects that were still future forecasted. The example I am thinking of involved a parallel Titan program that was doing work that was still on the boards for much later, but was found to be a good 10-13 years ahead of the others'.
I know I am speculating a little here but it seems to me at times that it is getting harder for them to keep up the appearances and with China and others, now nearing readiness to launch further beyond, they must now push their resources more directly towards the current hidden program, in order to stay just that much farther ahead of the pack following now more closely behind.
Some of the projects currently going on while admirable and capable of good science, do not seem efficient and look kind of antiqueted, especially if the Black program is so very much ahead of the semi-public known work.
The Space Station itself is one obvious simple example for me, while being a great vehicle for world cooperation etc. it is not roaring ahead with much effort to completion. Why Hmmm?
Following a comment in a book by Alvin Toffler about the value of the Lagrange Points L4 and L5, I almost wonder why they would even have bothered with the Space Station in the first place if not ONLY for appearances? What is the net expense in a station that is always decaying in orbit, always needing to be boosted and repositioned?
There is little or no effort(expense) required to "maintain" orbit with regards to the Lagrange Points, as they are much more stable and neutral places to have a "platform" for space work and they are in direct harmonious relation to the Earth always.
This thought for me came up, with the recent discussions in the science community, now being centered more seriously about Mining,
rather than the old speak of "just getting over there" (moon etc.).
That shift in the emphasis, brings me to wonder if they are about to become more obvious in the agenda, whether disclosed or simply now revealed by the World catching up and popping the bubble of the ol secrecy.
Off planet mining seems( or appears at this time) to be a big technological step when the current story seems to suggest that we can hardly get up into N.E.O. with our ancient Shuttle and back in one piece?
Just thinking out loud..
In the cander of our dialogue here, it is so easy to forget there are people like youself that are taking some serious risk being here. I appreciate that, and acknowledge it. I hope you stay safe, and keep sharing your knowledge with us. It is the more intelligent breath of fresh air in this Blog of ours that supercedes the rude ignorance of some of the others here.

Apart from one or two minor surprises, the Iraqi National Assembly elections went more or less as expected, bringing the country to the threshold of a new albeit uncertain era. The elections have highlighted the new scheme of things in the country, dashing a few claims to popularity and putting an end to many illusions of grandeur. The elections also produced one unexpected, even ironic, outcome: Iraq may have changed regimes, but it still has one strong man. Many Sunni and other disenchanted forces stayed away from the elections, and yet it is now easier than ever before to grasp how the forces are lined up in Iraq. The winners got their votes through a smart manipulation of religion, money, power and ethnicity.
The Unified Iraqi Alliance (UIA) won 4.75 million votes (48.7 per cent of the total turnout of 8.45 million voters), the Kurdistan list 2.17 million votes (26.2 per cent), the Iraqi list of Iyad Allawi 1.16 million votes (13.9 per cent), the list of interim President Ghazi Al-Yawar (Iraqiyun) 150,000 votes (1.8 per cent), the Turkoman Front 93,000 votes, the supporters of Al- Sadr 69,000 votes, the Iraqi Communist Party (People's Union) also 69,000 votes, the Islamic Kurdistan Group 60,000 votes, the Organisation of Islamic Work in Iraq- Central Command 43,000 votes, and the National Two Rivers (Al-Rafidayn) list 36,000 votes

If I remember from my military studies (yes, we sometimes study in the military too ... for brainwashing purposes only :), the radioactive fall-out experiments were conducted near nuke test sites. These would be in Utah, Nevada (NTS + Nevada test Site), Los Alamos, New Mexico, and the Bikini Islands (Kwajalein -- lots of testing here as the island was "mostly uninhabited").

Bohemia371,
Thanks for your reply and your continued postings. I get the impression especially at the universities that the NASA we thought we knew intends to commit suicide. The security measures seem extreme unless NASA is about to become a military organisation instead of civilian. Or, it is total overkill on trying to seal leaks of damning smoking gun type information. If the motivation is only political, then I am ever more nauseated by the heavy handedness of it all.
Given the level of security, I'm leaning towards the possibility of a roll out of previously black ops tech to replace the shuttle that will catch a lot of people off guard. If such a roll out occurs, the explanation for it should be quite interesting.
A blog about the current internal state of NASA would be most instructive.
OSOTOP said: Apollo must have been a mining prospecting mission. Else, why bring him in to train the astronauts. Dr Farouk was a mining geologist, prior to his work at NASA and teaching. His credentials are impeccable.
The statement about the credentials made me smile as it caused me to remember a line Patrick McGoohan uttered in Ice Station Zebra about how all their spies posing as academics all had "impeccable credentials".
What actually happened on the moon would make another interesting blog topic. Not to mention a few thoughts about Richard Nixon's decision to gut Apollo. It isn't hard to imagine where things might be if we had continued the path we started on with Apollo.

Hello, Richard !
Well, if you hadn't run away and left us to our own devices, we would still be there, probably on your side. But now we are pissed and you have nothing to rant about.

John,
I enjoyed that game video...funny presentation and an interesting looking game...and I am not a 'gamer'. They should have called the game "You Are GOD".

I doubt RCH would be doing that. Again, I think he used the TEM blog to get proof that he could attract a large enough 'following' to entice advertisers of his $$$$ value. Face it, RCH is no spring chicken and we all require income to nest away for retirement. Can't fault him for that.

You were saying to Bohemia371,
Given the level of security, I'm leaning towards the possibility of a roll out of previously black ops tech to replace the shuttle that will catch a lot of people off guard. If such a roll out occurs, the explanation for it should be quite interesting.
IonTruO2-->Ditto that! My friend. Just like the Iranian's being told they can't play with Nukes because the world doesn't trust them anymore and for good reasons.
I think the roll out will occur soon because the other countries like China and Japan etc. are going to very soon be out there and capable of seeing that the local Space is quite busy with existing 'traffic' comfortably working in "stellar cruise" and 'other' activities that would be likely precursors to the next phase of actual mining.
A consolidation of power and authority would be needed if you were about to reveal that your space program is a heck of a lot further along than ANYONE knew or imagined.
Can you consider what the rest of the world will think when they get up there and realize the Americans are about 100 years ahead of everyone in technology...and...organization?
My goodness, as I say that, it brings me to wonder how that would obviously translate to recognition down here on Earth as well?
I see preperations, and shifting of resourses. I see military relocating around the globe, positioning for "stability". Some of those "natural disasters" gave good cause to go over to "assist" in rather relevent "locations". We are not foolish to voice our intuitive feelings of something being prepped, a getting ready.
No I don't see the dreaded World Order and other more outrageous conspiracy fear. Thats for little minds.
Hint: Watch the USAF more closely than a front company like NASA. These are not stupid agencies, they just want us to think they are. A Buster Keeton act for the masses until ready.
The Warp Drive designs and patents we saw earlier were bought by the USAF in 1960ish and we are way beyond those days now aren't we? 46 years is a lot of technology progression.
We have seen Naudin's site with the anti-gravity technology clearly being worked on in the open at least at their level with smaller models currently.
To me it is "proof in principal" or practice, if its shown to exist, someone is already doing it way better with lots more money and for much longer than the little guy. No great stretch of the imagination there.
So, I'm excited to see how this dischordant world will change, with that kind of a disclosure. It is time to reign in these twisted countries full of collective decay notably the oldest societies like Iraq and Iran and others who are not mentally cohesive any longer and have fallen to abusing their peoples and seeking nihilsm.

National Weather Service To Give Hurricanes Full Names
February 27, 2006 | Issue 42•09
SILVER SPRING, MD—The National Weather Service announced Friday that, in response to the increasing number of hurricanes, it is revising its naming system. "The hundreds of hurricanes we expect in the North Atlantic in 2006 will receive both proper and surnames," Max Mayfield of the weather service said. "In fact, tropical storms Alberto Fergus, Beverly Stenwick-Brown, and Chris Stubbs Jr. have already received names under the new system." After all possible first and last names are exhausted, storms will be given titles, beginning with Hurricane Assistant Accounts Manager Alexander Epps, CPA.
Hello Jas, sunKing, monkeywrench, iontruo2, John, others :-)
I've just been to see 'Syriana' with George Clooney in it.
This is not a hollywood film.
We are terribly insulated from this evil done in our names.
The film was based on a book: 'See no Evil'.
I came out thinking....Fuck...Fuck!...Fuck! ....Oh...Fuck!
But I'd rather know the 'brutal truth' as Robert Williams would put
it.
Wisper quietly..."our countries are doing evil"...don't pass it on !
It's the oldest story in the book...a group does evil things and then
use every derring-do trick to cover up that evil.
In fact my further feelings after the film were'nt political at all
but were realisations of the fragmented realities that we live in
that make it difficult to raise a consensus.
There were shots of the everyday life's of people in the Middle East.
The conclusions were obvious...even though they valued their friendships
and have to deal with lifes up's and downs just like anyone else...they're
being treated like 'little brown people'...as so many sheep to be pushed
around.
But I think the hard-hitting message was this: Insulation...Insulation...
INSULATION! !
If even a few more people really grok the utter hediousness of the developing
manipulation of power by the over-powerfull US and the filthy rich
then mountains will be moved.
"They" are SCARED of us...yes...US ! And all the people like 'us' that we
represent...why do you think they use that psy-ops stuff, Jas ?
This stuff about your average citizen being powerless is bullshit...then
why manipulate the media ? Why lie to people in the first place?
I was getting angry about my anger (?) but now I know I'm right to be
angry !
Just to steer things in the direction of Space again...where do we think
that NASA budget money is going... can't you guess ?
From the film: "A country with 5% of the population spends 50% of the
total world military spending"...I wonder which country that is ?

Electrons Flying "Backwards" in Saturn's Sky
Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research discover unusual particle rays in Saturn's polar region
Polar lights are fascinating to look at on Earth. On other planets, they can also be spectacular. Scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Katlenberg, Lindau, Germany, have now observed Saturn's polar region using the particle spectrometer MIMI, on the Cassini Space Probe. They discovered electrons not only being accelerated toward the planet, but also away from it (Nature, February 9, 2006).
We can see polar lights on Earth when electrons above the atmosphere are accelerated downwards. They light up when they hit the upper atmosphere. Some years ago, researchers discovered that electrons inside the polar region can also be accelerated away from the Earth -- that is, "backwards". These anti-planetary electrons do not cause the sky to light up, and scientists have been puzzled about how they originate.
Until now it has also been unclear whether anti-planetary electrons only occur on Earth. An international team led by Joachim Saur at the University of Cologne have now found electrons on Saturn that are accelerated "backwards" -- that is, in an anti-planetary direction. These particles were measured using "Magnetospheric Imaging Instruments" (MIMI) on NASA's Cassini Space Probe. One of these instruments' sensors, the "Low Energy Magnetospheric Measurement System" (LEMMS), was developed and built by scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research.
The rotation of the space probe helped the researchers to determine the direction, number, and strength of the electron rays. They compared these results with recordings of the polar region and a global model of Saturn's magnetic field. It turned out that the region of polar light matched up very well with the lowest point of the magnetic field lines in which electron rays were measured.
Because the electron ray is strongly focussed (with an angle of beam spread less than 10 degrees), the scientists were able to determine where its source lies: somewhere above the polar region, but inside a distance of maximum five radii of Saturn. Because the electron rays measured on the Earth, Jupiter, and Saturn are so similar, it appears that there must be some fundamental process underlying the creation of polar lights.
Doing these measurements, Norbert Krupp and his colleagues Andreas Lagg and Elias Roussos from the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research worked closely with scientists from the Institute for Geophysics and Meteorology at the University of Cologne and the Applied Physics Laboratory of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. US scientists led by Tom Krimigis are responsible for service and coordination of the instrument on the Cassini Space Probe.

RELEASE: 06-087
NASA AIDS IN RESOLVING LONG STANDING SOLAR CYCLE MYSTERY
Scientists predict the next solar activity cycle will be 30 to 50 percent stronger than the previous one and up to a year late. Accurately predicting the sun's cycles will help plan for the effects of solar storms. The storms can disrupt satellite orbits and electronics; interfere with radio communication; damage power systems; and can be hazardous to unprotected astronauts.
The breakthrough "solar climate" forecast by Mausumi Dikpati and colleagues at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colo. was made with a combination of computer simulation and groundbreaking observations of the solar interior from space using NASA's Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO). NASA's Living With a Star program and the National Science Foundation funded the research.
The sun goes through a roughly 11-year cycle of activity, from stormy to quiet and back again. Solar storms begin with tangled magnetic fields generated by the sun's churning electrically charged gas (plasma). Like a rubber band twisted too far, solar magnetic fields can suddenly snap to a new shape, releasing tremendous energy as a flare or a coronal mass ejection (CME). This violent solar activity often occurs near sunspots, dark regions on the sun caused by concentrated magnetic fields.
Understanding plasma flows in the sun's interior is essential to predicting the solar activity cycle. Plasma currents within the sun transport, concentrate, and help dissipate solar magnetic fields. "We understood these flows in a general way, but the details were unclear, so we could not use them to make predictions before," Dikpati said. Her paper about this research was published in the March 3 online edition of Geophysical Research Letters.
The new technique of "helioseismology" revealed these details by allowing researchers to see inside the sun. Helioseismology traces sound waves reverberating inside the sun to build up a picture of the interior, similar to the way an ultrasound scan is used to create a picture of an unborn baby.
Two major plasma flows govern the cycle. The first acts like a conveyor belt. Deep beneath the surface, plasma flows from the poles to the equator. At the equator, the plasma rises and flows back to the poles, where it sinks and repeats. The second flow acts like a taffy pull. The surface layer of the sun rotates faster at the equator than it does near the poles. Since the large-scale solar magnetic field crosses the equator as it goes from pole to pole, it gets wrapped around the equator, over and over again, by the faster rotation there. This is what periodically concentrates the solar magnetic field, leading to peaks in solar storm activity.
"Precise helioseismic observations of the 'conveyor belt' flow speed by the Michelson Doppler Imager (MDI) instrument on board SOHO gave us a breakthrough," Dikpati said. "We now know it takes two cycles to fill half the belt with magnetic field and another two cycles to fill the other half. Because of this, the next solar cycle depends on characteristics from as far back as 40 years previously - the sun has a magnetic 'memory'."
The magnetic data input comes from the SOHO/MDI instrument and historical records. Computer analysis of the past eight years' magnetic data matched actual observations over the last 80 years. The team added magnetic data and ran the model ahead 10 years to get their prediction for the next cycle. The sun is in the quiet period for the current cycle (cycle 23).
The team predicts the next cycle will begin with an increase in solar activity in late 2007 or early 2008, and there will be 30 to 50 percent more sunspots, flares, and CMEs in cycle 24. This is about one year later than the prediction using previous methods, which rely on such statistics as the strength of the large-scale solar magnetic field and the number of sunspots to make estimates for the next cycle. This work will be advanced by more detail observations from the Solar Dynamics Observatory, scheduled to launch in August 2008.

Scientists Issue Unprecedented Forecast of Next Sunspot Cycle
(Apologies. I think this was already mentioned.)
BOULDER -- The next sunspot cycle will be 30-50% stronger than the last one and begin as much as a year late, according to a breakthrough forecast using a computer model of solar dynamics developed by scientists at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). Predicting the Sun's cycles accurately, years in advance, will help societies plan for active bouts of solar storms, which can slow satellite orbits, disrupt communications, and bring down power systems.
The scientists have confidence in the forecast because, in a series of test runs, the newly developed model simulated the strength of the past eight solar cycles with more than 98% accuracy. The forecasts are generated, in part, by tracking the subsurface movements of the sunspot remnants of the previous two solar cycles. The team is publishing its forecast in the current issue of Geophysical Research Letters.
"Our model has demonstrated the necessary skill to be used as a forecasting tool," says NCAR scientist Mausumi Dikpati, the leader of the forecast team at NCAR's High Altitude Observatory that also includes Peter Gilman and Giuliana de Toma.
Understanding the cycles
The Sun goes through approximately 11-year cycles, from peak storm activity to quiet and back again. Solar scientists have tracked them for some time without being able to predict their relative intensity or timing.
Forecasting the cycle may help society anticipate solar storms, which can disrupt communications and power systems and affect the orbits of satellites. The storms are linked to twisted magnetic fields in the Sun that suddenly snap and release tremendous amounts of energy. They tend to occur near dark regions of concentrated magnetic fields, known as sunspots.
The NCAR team's computer model, known as the Predictive Flux-transport Dynamo Model, draws on research by NCAR scientists indicating that the evolution of sunspots is caused by a current of plasma, or electrified gas, that circulates between the Sun's equator and its poles over a period of 17 to 22 years. This current acts like a conveyor belt of sunspots.
The sunspot process begins with tightly concentrated magnetic field lines in the solar convection zone (the outermost layer of the Sun's interior). The field lines rise to the surface at low latitudes and form bipolar sunspots, which are regions of concentrated magnetic fields. When these sunspots decay, they imprint the moving plasma with a type of magnetic signature. As the plasma nears the poles, it sinks about 200,000 kilometers (124,000 miles) back into the convection zone and starts returning toward the equator at a speed of about one meter (three feet) per second or slower. The increasingly concentrated fields become stretched and twisted by the internal rotation of the Sun as they near the equator, gradually becoming less stable than the surrounding plasma. This eventually causes coiled-up magnetic field lines to rise up, tear through the Sun's surface, and create new sunspots.
The subsurface plasma flow used in the model has been verified with the relatively new technique of helioseismology, based on observations from both NSF- and NASA-supported instruments. This technique tracks sound waves reverberating inside the Sun to reveal details about the interior, much as a doctor might use an ultrasound to see inside a patient.
Predicting Cycles 24 and 25
The Predictive Flux-transport Dynamo Model is enabling NCAR scientists to predict that the next solar cycle, known as Cycle 24, will produce sunspots across an area slightly larger than 2.5% of the visible surface of the Sun. The scientists expect the cycle to begin in late 2007 or early 2008, which is about 6 to 12 months later than a cycle would normally start. Cycle 24 is likely to reach its peak about 2012.
By analyzing recent solar cycles, the scientists also hope to forecast sunspot activity two solar cycles, or 22 years, into the future. The NCAR team is planning in the next year to issue a forecast of Cycle 25, which will peak in the early 2020s.
"This is a significant breakthrough with important applications, especially for satellite-dependent sectors of society," explains NCAR scientist Peter Gilman.

Thanks, bohemia.
IonTruO2, you said: "Can you consider what the rest of the world will think when they get up there and realize the Americans are about 100 years ahead of everyone in technology... and... organization?"
starshipconstellation replies: That is a very interesting statement. It implies two Americas. One that is essentially running its own starfleet, and the other a crumbling empire showing signs of it's increasing fragility as evidenced by the last hurricane season. Did one come at the price of the other? The scariest part of being technologically 100 years ahead is that we as humans may have not spiritually kept pace with the tech.
In the fictional world of Star Trek, the invention of warp drive combined with extraterrestial first contact led Earth to put aside its petty differences and rebuild the planet into something far better than it had been before. What would be the result if the same thing happened in our particular reality?

ion--> Thats the positive view I capped off with, but these are indeed duplicitous times and I think it is paradoxical as well. Appearing to be getting worse while poised to get a lot better.
We are certainly not currently in World War(yet), and the death tolls are not even close to those days of old when it was looking very very grim for Earth back then.
That said, these are indeed some strange days and I feel the U.S.A is at a turning point between these two apparent groups that are its core. The Doves and Hawks analogy, which way will it swing?
The doom and gloom scenario just doesn't fully show true. Things have been alot worse before. Most of us here are sitting at home or work in relative freedom, free to type just about anything we want on our OWN personal computers.
Are any of us here really THAT oppressed and downtrodden?
Common lets stay in touch with the truth of most our positions right now.
Other than our warrior friends like Greg, few have seen much other radically different societies and lifestyles that are completely nothing like North America or Australia(nod to me bro down south)etc. So most of us live pretty free and easy here in the West.
Sorry Bubba, no disrespect here at all, for I do see how much of this world could greatly improve from the current conditions, but the negative spiralling fatalism, is not currently well indicated to me.
Perhaps my positivity is backed by some agonizing personal spiritual growth that doesn't show well in this simple context here, but I see, many small indicators of change on a grand scale that will be not necessarily pain free, but will alter the course of things here forever and forever good.
Ya I know, there goes Ion gett'in all Prophetic again! Bla Bla Bla. Oh well, it was said, and time will tell. Just comes out sometimes, lett'in it flow.

Sunking..thanx for the photo link. I experienced the lime green lightning phenomenon on March 3, 1976. Mine lasted 10 to 15 minutes but also included a blood red pulsation that looked like a hundred mile dome over the city of London, Ontario. I have to admit that I was floored by this event. The power had been knocked out for at least 8 hours by a temp inversion with the powerlines weighted down by rain freezing on the lines and trees crashing down and huge branches taking out powerlines. More on this later.

It does not take much hand-waving to focus attention to lesser scientific implications.

Do you want a "Truth Movement" or do you want the facts?
Khatami spoke at a state-sponsored conference on "respect for religious sanctities and divine prophets." The hall where the conference was held, appropriately enough, stands on a fault line.
The headgear around the tables suggested a genuine diversity of faiths: the black and white turbans of both Shiite and Sunni Islam; the peaked cap of an Orthodox archbishop; and, in a prominent place near the front, the extravagantly fur-lined hats of four ultra-Orthodox Jews, who were flown in for the occasion.
"We are Jews but not Zionists," said Rabbi Ahron Cohen, of Manchester, England, invoking the distinction between those who follow Judaism as a faith and religious Zionists who believe the Jews have a Biblical right to Israel as a homeland.
"The root cause of the problem in the Middle East is the Zionists," Cohen said. "But really, the whole concept is flawed, and that's what the people in this country believe, too, and we're with them."
In recent months, Iran has faced widespread accusations of anti-Semitism since Khatami's successor as president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, called for Israel to be "wiped off the map" and dubbed the Holocaust a "myth."
Cohen said he was not bothered by Iran's plans to hold another conference, this one to publicly ask how Nazi Germany could have killed 6 million Jews before and during World War II.
"I don't find it offensive at all," Cohen said. "If people want to debate the details of the Holocaust, they're welcome to.
"We happen to know. We were involved."
It is time to reign in these twisted countries full of collective decay notably the oldest societies like Iraq and Iran and others who are not mentally cohesive any longer and have fallen to abusing their peoples and seeking nihilsm.

Hi all...
Sunking, and anyone else who saw that video of "Spore", I'm glad you liked it. I sat there, nearly drooling, when I first saw it. I can only imagine the system requirements, though...
Djbarney, I've never seen "Syriana" (hope I spelled that right). What's it about?
I heard that Christopher Reeve's widow died today. She died of cancer. A sad day...

starshipconstellation replies: This is what I was getting at earlier. I once had a very innocent view of NASA thinking they were exploring space in the frontier spirit Americans used to wax sentimental about. The SkunkWorks and Dreamland are exactly the kinds of places I'd expect the "shuttle replacement" to come from. The "retro" approach that NASA floated as a shuttle replacement is just a distraction. I'd be truly surprised if they actually did it. But a little obsolete black ops tech could still look very advanced next to the 1970's space shuttle.
When was NASA not a front man for the DoD? Probably never. But if you were a kid growing up in the 1960's, it never occurs to you to really think of it in those terms. Yet if I remember correctly, all of the original seven astronauts were military people.
Somewhere along the way, it must have been disheartening for the civilian scientists with their hearts in the right place to see the whole thing turn into something diametrically the opposite of what they signed up for.
There's probably two major points in which some people started waking up about NASA. The first point was right after the Face on Mars showed up and the other is the day Challenger blew up into a thousand horrifying pieces.
What's behind the monolith? It's either the Lady or the Tiger. If anyone remembers that old story....
Hi All.
I haven't been around much lately, hope it didn't please too many of ya.. lol..
Seems I've been a bit ambivalent about the blog of late.. with some serious poster block.. While I have tried to stay up to date with reading, links and such, I have been remiss in my crewman's duties by not posting anything of interest to combat alot of the banal unproductive rants and otherwise useless shit being put up.. no offense to anyone in particular, really, free speech and all IS Important.. There has been some really good stuff posted.. yet it withers almost immediately.. whats up with that? What is happening? We just flat run out of topics that inspire us? What? What?
Isn't that why we started and migrated all this way? for the WHAT?
>What's behind the monolith?
Thank you ssc for that nudge :-)
What could possibly be SO big, SO important, SO overwhelmingly powerful, that all this covering up throughout history was ever even deemed necessary to begin with? Distractions all. religion, pharma, energy, zionism, wars, joos, politics, hitler, 33, popes, maps, economy, bush, nasa, ad-nauseum. All the coverups in the world to pick at.. yet none can or will yield WHAT alone. They are all part of the WHY. Even if we knew all the WHY, WHAT would still be unknown.. isnt THAT the disclosure we seek? the WHAT? methinks If we can get to WHAT, then WHY will be quite apparent and all the other crap falls away as the need for the distractions are removed.
Soooo... the challange is WHAT? What is IT? Many IT's? Can we even imagine something that.... IT?
or.. is all this coverup shit just for the hell of it? thoughts? flames? whatever..?
WHAT do you imagine IT is?
and fwiw, I dont think all the 'secret shit' is ~100 yrs ahead.. I'm thinking 3-500 or even more.. much more.
just the 'public' sector has gone further than that in the 60yrs since roswell.. once you consider the previous progress.. even all combined. That aint a stretch in my mind at all. especially when ya got that kinda extra-special help.
It's time to pull out the Sir-bob-a-bombs.
and Damn da torpedo's..
oh.. dat's a spliff? Fire it up!
peace
Blasted said: Can we even imagine something that.... IT?
All of the coverups/distractions/whys have served their purpose well. In order to recognize the "IT" or to even imagine the "IT", you would have to have some type of memory/experience/knowledge of this "IT". The purpose of the WHYS...completely erase this knowledge/experience/memories of IT from all our individual and collective experiences. You can't recognize or even imagine the "IT" if you don't know what you're looking for. The WHYS have done their job...so far.
Spidy/Grasshoppa
Oh and welcome back, Blasted!
You have a good grasp of what is going on. I have nothing to add - I'll join the rest of the "muggles" and wait for "it"
The first point was right after the Face on Mars showed up and the other is the day Challenger blew up into a thousand horrifying pieces
- what about the Columbia?
Hit by Mega-Lightning. And there was an famous Israeli fighter pilot on board
Calm down already.
yeps blasted missed ya man...
took a few days out ta get da home here, ship shape...
pull out da toasty spliff and blaze up...
Blasted, I've mulled over ya point, we have to get somewhere...
Da point is bredren, the Bush granpappy to evil granson, has been going on for a while like ya said...
We are individuals, that each can see the truth... Alone we are a single voice...
together on this blog, we are a community...
Yeah Bush & Co, have some serious focus behind their corrupt oily thrones and some serious people trying to keep the lies together...
thing is, can we outlast them here, in this blog, ta see da massive disclosure?
Blasted, how much sh!t is the 'administration' in?
How much longer before the pile of cr*p, that is Rove and eejits, go on, before sinking into the political mire of has beens...?
They aren't far away...
We are all here, that's da point, proving that those eejits running the USA are full of BS.
And then there is another Haarpicane season to go ;)
Greg, nah, a whale didn't eat me yet... going by Jonah's story, I'd have ta run away from da fight...
I'm here, dukes up and ready ta pitch in...
Da wind and sun has been perfect, did loads of cleaning up and re-aranging of da furniture round da place and mekin it look good for da new year...
Sunspots hey SunKing :)
Very related to huge weather phenomena (apparently)... and 775 objects... seems we either are picking up tourists as we fly through space, or the junk is being added to our orbit by unknown sources... ;)
Then there is that 10 minute green sky...
hi hi hi, rut ro raggy... :))
Yeps DjB, we are powerful, and ya right, liars are scared of truth tellers. Bush and whitehouse administration are liars, and prove themselves ta be more so everyday... &WTF is going on with this ports deal, has Bush completely lost da plot? (stupid Q I guess)
Yeps Byan, without this last place of virtual freedom, the war on freedom is won... The internet is the last battle ground...
We proving the Powers that Be, to be incompetant, corrupt and generally nefarious...
love it...
and if that privacy act (patriot) gets re-newed, there's no telling how much lower that retarded f'king shrub will go...
What a bunch of Pr!ck$ reside in that whitehouse...
USA could do with starting again...
Get rid of that dead dead dead wood and start afresh...
blaze up... we have da F-SHOD it's ax like hook, can chop down bad annoying bush's... just gotta get da aim spot on...
My question to anyone who thinks they know, who is the REAL power in the whitehouse?
Rove? Chertoff? Rice? Cheney?
Secret Dark emporer?
who?
And can we expose them?
Not that i'm suggesting conspiracy or anything, but, much like SunKing, my computer has had problems. The tech guy didn't really have time to tell me much - I upgraded my hard drive and have back ups. Ericswan once mused about how his mouse cursor drifts across his screen. All we can really do, is plot the frequency of computer 'events' and be tolerant of the intolerant (lest we offend the offensive)
Did someone say "Smart Mission" - unfortunate name/acronym. Remember those 'Leadership Strikes' against Iraqi Leadership ? Smart Bombs : 50 missions, zero hits, zero military or gov't wounded and 42 civilians dead, hundreds wounded. Smart bombs were not so smart after all.
I agree with toasted - oops - blasted. 300 years is about right. The design calls for control from above a glass ceiling, where elites rule over society like Gods. There won't be any panic about space-men until a conscription lottery starts drafting from the middle class. Space Invaders are a tool to control the middle class and silence any spin-off 'grievance-activism'. Valium didn't get the results, so we now have Prozac. In Vietnam, the CIA 'failed to prevent the US voter from seeing death'. That's the lesson of Vietnam ... and ya gotta hand it to them, they haven't made that mistake this war, but we're early into this adventure.
True to Von Braun's description, the fake Cold War led to fake Terrorism and that will be followed by hostile aliens. There's a little green man up their sleeve ... they're working on counterfeit techniques. I'm sure Von Braun was a good scientist, but what do we know about his world view, his theology, his philosophy and his loyalties ? What did Project Paperclip know about him that we don't ? The man in the street would probably NOT be inclined to give the job of Head of US Public Space Program to an ex-Nazi ... but there was something 'desirable' about the reality tunnel that those people came out of ... besides knowing how to build a rocket that can make it across the English Channel.
...right, gonna twist one up and blaze... that f*ck wit, shrub da skull and bonehead the IInd, has got under my skin...
grrrrrrrrrrr
Crypto, was watching, 'Being John Malkovitch', last night.
Interesting film.
About a puppeteer who discovers a secret door at his office job on the 7 & 1/2 floor.
The door leads to a portol, that when accessed, gives a real view through JM eyes for 15 mins then dumps the viewer out next to a freeway...
as the film was progressing, was interesting to see, how a clever puppeteer (a lot of skill involved) can make the puppet look so life like.
The same puppeteers that killed X million Jews in war torn europe are the same pupeteers that drop 'smart' bombs on people, that f*ck all to deserve it, other than wrong place and time.
The thing about 6 million Jews getting anhialated outside Israel, is that to my fact finding, the biggest population of Jews outside Israel is USA.
6 Million Jews in Israel
6 Million in USA
that's the worlds largest populations of Jews anywhere in the world.
12 Million.
and 6 million died in Germany?
6 or 6 million is wrong, but also a lot of JW's went down as well, as gypsies, homosexuals etc...
But what does get to me is the figures...
It don't add up...
More lies to see through...
Another thing, how many Iraqi civilians are dying daily? I mean REALLY?
f*cking retarded Whitehouse, bombs and bullets are their only voice...
Yeah their money speaks for them, but it's a sh!tty voice, full of deceit and death.
The only thing smart about the current administration was the smart bombs, and they aint that smart as ya said Crypto...
Now if a politician could really talk and articulate 'freely', with REAL freeness of speach, not tied to any lobyist or dumb assed oil twat...
That's why we here...
NASA 333 hours and 33 minute shuttle missions and $333 million to bust commets...
can't hide the facts... the fact's lead to the dots that get linked up to bush & eejits stoopid suicidal plan...
I hear you guys, good points posted.
Wall Street capitalism is behind it - there's the 333 or so Bonesmen alumni, a few dozen dynasties - the families whose children attend the top 50 private schools. It's customary to elevate someone - extortion with photos of a sex romp is good for movies, but careerism is a great motivator. How do rich people usually get poor(er) people to do things for them ? How do billionaires get millionaires to do things for them ?
Power behind the throne ? Conduit between capitalism and democracy ? Hmmm ... Not to indulge in racial profiling or anything, but Condolezza Rice does NOT look like one of the 'usual suspects' (Anglo-American Establishment families). Rice and Powell can be the smartest people in the room, but when we talk about the king-maker, we're talking about the conduit between Wall Street and Washington. Where the privileged few meet the powerless many. How we organize ourselves politically is NOT the same thing as how we organize ourselves economically.
Everyone is looking for a command structure .... but super-dynasties alone practice geo-politics and the AAE organizes itself by family compact according to wealth - cash is king. They communicate privately across public channels, they set up foundations that vector scientists into time wasting research (fatten the antelope foundations) and actively seek to dumb down the population by media and public schools.
hmmmmm, yeps, Crypto, sounds like it's more of a family (envoloped in ca$h) than a command structure...
the ca$h conduits, are what keep the structure in place...
Old money, new money, it's all printed paper, that represents ones power to purchase luxuries and otherwise...
How much are those ports again? Maybe we could all club together to buy one?
or better yet, I'm going to buy the rights to decriminalise cannabis... I'm sure they are for sale?
hi hi hi
I think there are 'reality tunnels' ... Being John Malkovitch is sort of a Scientology take on things, where we are controlled by spirits. If entities can go inside the head of a person, I'd expect that person to be pretty hard to dislodge, or bury. Actors, by nature, tend to want to pretend that they are guided by the spirit of the person they portray. I think people should take responsibility for their own behavior and if they lose control, they can check themselves into a clinic, talk to a priest, or go buy a 26oz-er. Criminals would probably LOVE a defense like, "I got John Malkovitch-ed"
There's alot about Scientology that I do like. They consider the brain too sacred for science and they're anti-Big Pharma, which makes me a fan of the balls of Tom Cruise. It's industry versus the individual and the brain should not be screwed with by Big Pharma and uppity kids should not be pushed onto Ritalin. Some of it is irrefutable and enlightened, but I don't take it all lock, stock and barrel. The time line is too long, for one thing. A predatory culture or inter-galactic civilization would not need humans to mine for gold with 19th century techniques.
What pisses them off more than anything - they can't get any higher than you or me !! Their dinner can cost $1,000 with wine and $100 steaks but they can't buy more joy than I can have eating my fettucine alfredo and barbecued chicken. If someone has $10M or $100M - there's a law of diminishing returns.
The Dubai Ports deal is a little bit to do with Dubai being on one side of the Straits of Hormuz (Iran's chokepoint for the Gulf's Supertanker traffic)
They got dough - and they are a "party spot" for repressed Saudi swingers.
Good posts above - nothing that I don't agree with.
Zactly Crypto... zactly;
"
What pisses them off more than anything - they can't get any higher than you or me !!
"
Ex-zactly...
I mean, even with a $100Million, I could still only smoke one joint at a time, and the herb, is as good as it gets... :D
And ya know what, $100 mill would disturb mi sleep...
Give me a Cannabis plantation any day... hey... ;)

Ion.. Most of the pain in this world is directed away from you and that may be what you are prozeletizing this week but the pendulum of Spirit makes it most unlikely we can continue to live on this side of the equation without a consequence toward Balance.

IonTruO2-->Directed away? an impossibility. I live the pain moment to moment, at the personal level and the World scale.
I know the dark.
The more one readily spirals down in the negative, the darker and more dense the experience and view becomes. One can paint it black or 'feel beyond' the appearance experience to the mind's (i).
This is a suffering place, I have said that many times.
This is a place of passing, of life that cycles through a death transition, always.
Countless, numberless deaths here, all the time. Vast numbers, hardly noticed in the popular media story telling that fixes on the sensational and the simplistic trivial.
The utter stupidity of Man's contrived religioning and cultishness is that we have presumed that it is useful in the Great Process, to try ourselves, to be the makers of death and the death points. As if that would get us anywhere beyond or ascended or graced.
The hubris of a species that didn't "get it" even though the knowledge was already there and well documented as to the Great Process, the big picture is not such a mystery, it is only unembraced by the many at this time.
So, we have a society more interested in it's own distorted versions of "sacrifice" as self made self destruction, with all kinds of bullshit dogma about martyrdom or any other explosive infatuation that might launch us to higher glorys' while struggling endlessly with each other in mindless competition, hoping to control and survive 'something' so to the victor goes some spoils of War.
Conquests and Acquisitions, an addiction of toxic global proportions, chasing our own tail, hoping to crawl up our own asshole to heaven for a reward there at our great effort.
Just a bunch of "holy crap".
We will become that which we meditate on.
Ask yourselves: Is it the calm before the storm or the storm before the calm?
How about both?
The inherent flaw with the "point of view" is that it is the "view on a point", centering to a point, not the total truth of what IS.
So no view that ends in an effort to conclude an absolute opinion amounts to the full truth of reality. A mere fragment, never complete, never a whole understanding.
So for many, the view may be dark and persistently dismal, but that is the limitation of sight. Thus the principal of enlightening, of illumination, of brightening up, of lightening UP, a light bulb moment, 'feeling' the fire-(Phi ray).
To move beyond is not to simply fall down, it is to be the rising son(sun).
So don't be dense for we do have sense, YOU are not the conditions, the suffering, the dark fear knot of this current experience here.
One is to see, hear, feel through and beyond all that, a firey ordeal indeed, yet purifying and liberating, absolutely necessary.
SO, stand in the midst of whatever it seems and do not feed the fear.fulness with the energy of misunderstood identification.
For we know shit all about much of anything that this appearing World is really about.
Until we surrender the notion that we have figured a 'something' out completely, we are stuck in the dark of the little mind's isolation limitation and so will cycle repeatedly through countless sufferings of all forms of dark density. Yes, THAT's the gravity of the situation.
Be not the blind ignorant victim of duality's teeter totter.
We are so much more than That or This.
SWORD????
Where are you??
Alamo Heroes Appear Foolish Today
Chuck Baldwin | March 8 2006
It is that time of year for me to remind my readers about the magnificent stand by the defenders of The Alamo back in 1836. The Alamo fell on March 6 of that year. For more than 13 days, 186 brave and determined patriots withstood Santa Anna's seasoned army of over 5,000 troops. To a man, the defenders of that mission fort knew they would never leave those ramparts alive. They had several opportunities to leave and live. Yet, they chose to fight and die. How foolish they must look to this generation of spoiled Americans!
It is difficult to recall that stouthearted men such as Davy Crockett (a nationally known frontiersman and former Congressman), Will Travis (only 23 years old with a little baby at home), and Jim Bowie (a wealthy landowner with properties on both sides of the Rio Grande) really existed. These were real men with real dreams and real desires. Real blood flowed through their veins. They loved their families and enjoyed life as much as any of us. There was something different about them, however. They possessed a commitment to liberty that transcended personal safety and comfort.
Liberty is an easy word to say, but it is a hard word to live up to. Freedom has little to do with financial gain or personal pleasure. Accompanying Freedom is her constant and unattractive companion, Responsibility. Neither is she an only child. Patriotism and Morality are her sisters. They are inseparable; destroy one and all will die.
Early in the siege, Travis wrote these words to the people of Texas: "Fellow Citizens & Compatriots: I am besieged by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna. The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise the garrison are to be put to the sword. I have answered the demand with a cannon shot & our flag still waves proudly from the walls. I shall never surrender or retreat. VICTORY OR DEATH! P.S. The Lord is on our side."
As you read those words, remember that Travis and the others did not have the A.C.L.U., P.E.T.A., People for the un-American Way, and the National Education Association telling them how intolerant and narrow-minded their notions of honor and patriotism were. A hostile media did not constantly castigate them as a bunch of wild- eyed extremists. As school children, they were not taught that their forefathers were nothing more than racist jerks.
The brave men at the Alamo labored under the belief that America (and Texas) really was "the land of the free and the home of the brave." They believed God was on their side and that the freedom of future generations depended on their courage and resolve. They further believed their posterity would remember their sacrifice as an act of love and devotion. It all looks pale now.
By today's standards, the gallant men of the Alamo appear rather foolish. After all, they had no chance of winning-none! However, the call for pragmatism and practicality was never sounded. Instead, they answered the clarion call, "Victory or death!"
Please try to remember the heroes of the Alamo as you listen to our gutless political and religious leaders calling for compromise and tolerance. Try to recall the time in this country when ordinary men and women had the courage of their convictions and were willing to sacrifice their lives for freedom and independence.
One thing is certain: those courageous champions did not die for a political party or for some "lesser of two evils" mantra! They fought and died for a principle. So did the men at Lexington and Concord. That is our heritage. On second thought, do they look foolish, or do we?

The pieces come together..here at FSHOD..
OB2 posted The FBI files on Tesla..interesting new info for me was that his friends he confided in were told that he used a radio to communicate with aliens on Mars.
The other interesting point was that he used a long wave oscillation and forced it into a short wave oscillation to create a fire ball
2..also disclosed privately by OB2 and publically by me was the information that Mars and the Moon have been occupied by humans with bases on each for quite a few decades including the first moon mission in 1969.
3. That Tesla called DOD in Jan. 1943 to share his invention of the death ray and that the call at OSS was taken by George H.W. Bush who sent Nazi infiltrators over to murder Tesla and steal the anti-grav technology and the death ray which has been kept secret by an inside black ops secret government which may include the Soviet Union aka Russia.
3. Weather and earthquake technology first developed by Tesla in 1899, is now being used by several countries and private individuals since the 70's.
4. The Aluminaughty is controlled by the Black Pope or Jesuits who are a Satanist cult that will stop at nothing to form the NWO.
5. Chemtrails are population control and mind control. They also forge an "us vs. them" mentality where the elites in media and military "know" they are going down but really don't know why but form the "conspiracy of silence" which makes them a part of conspiracy when in fact, they are just as much victim as we are.
I could go on here, but that would be spoon feeding wouldn't it?

Bush Declares War on Freedom of the Press
Capitol Hill Blue, March 7, 2006
Using many of the questionable surveillance and monitoring techniques that brought both questions and criticism to his administration, President George W. Bush has launched a war against reporters who write stories unfavorable to his actions and is planning to prosecute journalists to make examples of them in his "war on terrorism."
Bush recently directed Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to use "whatever means at your disposal" to wiretap, follow, harass and investigate journalists who have published stories about the administration's illegal use of warrantless wiretaps, use of faulty intelligence and anything else he deems "detrimental to the war on terror."
Reporters for The New York Times, which along with Capitol Hill Blue revealed use of the National Security Agency to monitor phone calls and emails of Americans, say FBI agents have interviewed them and criminal prosecutors at the Justice Department admit they are laying "the groundwork for a grand jury that could lead to criminal charges,"
CIA Director Porter Goss told Congress recently that "it is my aim and it is my hope that we will witness a grand jury investigation with reporters present being asked to reveal who is leaking this information. I believe the safety of this nation and the people of this country deserve nothing less."
As part of the investigation, the Justice Department, Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency are wiretapping reporters' phones, following journalists on a daily basis, searching their homes and offices under a USA Patriot Act provision that allows "secret and undisclosed searches" and pouring over financial and travel records of hundreds of Washington-based reporters.
Spokesmen for the Justice Department and Department of Homeland Security admit there are "ongoing investigations" regarding publication of stories "involving threats to national security" but will not reveal what those investigations include.
In addition to using the USA Patriot Act to pry into the lives of journalists, the Justice Department has also dusted off a pre-World War I law to prosecute people who receive classified information, although the law was aimed at military personnel not civilians.
"This is the first administration that I can remember, including Nixon's, that said we need to think about a law that would put journalists who print national security things up in front of grand juries and put them in jail if they don't reveal their sources," says David Gergen, who served as President Regan's director of communication and also worked in the Nixon and Ford White Houses.
Political scientist George Harleigh, who worked in the Nixon administration, says such use of federal law enforcement authority was illegal when Nixon tried it and still so today.
"We're talking about a basic violation of the Constitutional guarantee of a free press as well as a violation of the rights of privacy of American citizens," Harleigh says. "I had hoped we would have learned our lessons from the Nixon era. Sadly, it appears we have not."
In recent weeks, the FBI has issued hundreds of "National Security Letters," directing employers, banks, credit card companies, libraries and other entities to turn over records on reporters. Under the USA Patriot Act, those who must turn over the records are also prohibited from revealing they have done so to the subject of the federal probes.
"The significance of this cannot be overstated," says prominent New York litigator Glenn Greenwald. "In essence, while the President sits in the White House undisturbed after proudly announcing that he has been breaking the law and will continue to do so, his slavish political appointees at the Justice Department are using the mammoth law enforcement powers of the federal government to find and criminally prosecute those who brought this illegal conduct to light.
"This flamboyant use of the forces of criminal prosecution to threaten whistle-blowers and intimidate journalists are nothing more than the naked tactics of street thugs and authoritarian juntas."
Just how widespread, and uncontrolled, this latest government assault has become hit close to home last week when one of the FBI's National Security Letters arrived at the company that hosts the servers for this web site, Capitol Hill Blue.
The letter demanded traffic data, payment records and other information about the web site along with information on me, the publisher.
Now that's a problem. I own the company that hosts Capitol Hill Blue. So, in effect, the feds want me to turn over information on myself and not tell myself that I'm doing it. You'd think they'd know better.
I turned the letter over to my lawyer and told him to send the following message to the feds:
Fuck you. Strong letter to follow.
.
.
Give you a Cannabis plantation, Jas...and the profits go 'Up In Smoke"! hihihi
Ion,
I hear what ya say, but I truly think that this is the desired effect...the modern-day equivalent of 'bread and circuses'...we got our laptops, our NASCAR, all the things money can buy to attain the 'good life' that the advertising/marketing psy-op folks tell us we need...and the current globalization thing is the fascist corpocracy's way to get everyone on earth marching to the beat of the same marketing drummer. See how they control the minds and lives of Americans? And do not doubt that TPTB do.
I think that the Freemason's plans to acheive a global world government and relieve the world of that nationalistic fervor that causes so much war and hate, has been hijacked. Whether it be Rothchilds, the Military/Industrial Complex Gone Wild or just the faceless mind of the Corporatists, greed has interceeded and hijacked the dream of what 'globalists' like Ben Franklin had hoped to achieve.
And as long as our (Americans) creature comforts are met, there is no 'revolutionary' fervor to spark dissent, let alone a war. If and when we (Americans) wake up, the gulag will be ready. It will be too late. We are being dumbed down educationally and spiritually, but kept happy.
Remember in God Emporer of Dune (Frank Herbert), it was discussed how on all the planets of the Empire, that transportation was kept at the draft animal stage and technology limited or hidden...it was felt that there was no need to encourage the populace, who 'knew' of inter-galactic space travel, to be forced to consider it on a daily basis...better to keep things on the 'DL', not provoke the thinking of 'grand ideas' or put lofy aspirations in the heads of the people...THAT would disrupt their 'orderly lives' and cause problems with production. (Recall Dubya exhortation after 9/11 to 'not let the terrorist's win'...live your life normally, (i.e. don't let tragedy stop you from going to the mall and grocery store and the NFL game....spend, spend, spend????)
And that's what we have here...creature comforts met, little loss of life but nothing has really changed, wave the flag on a scheduled basis to remind us of what team we are on...eat, sleep, work, spend...some costly entertainment to keep family unit debt 'optimized', we grumble some, but basically we are leading the lives of sheep...fed, watered and 'shorn' regularly.
It takes a hungry man, a man who has had close family taken violently, a man who has suffered grave injustice to take up arms against the might of city hall, let alone the juggernaut of the Government of the United States.
And there just ain't that many Americans hungry enough or pissed enough.....yet.
Gawd....THAT was kinda dark! hmmm?
Dear sunkink,
Ya wanna know what the NWO is doin to ya?
Its takin away your "right" to plunder you neighbor as you see fit".
And rightly so, cause you're the problem.
MW
How am I the problem, MW?
And how are YOU defining the NWO?
I'm saying that the 'NWO' has been hijacked to the corporatic 'Secret Cabal', who has a different kind of NWO in mind...and also by the rise of Islam. These were unplanned for. Being manipulated in a frenzy, but was not part of the plan and is definitely a road block.
bubba hyde,
Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your perspective. I can't reply to you just yet. I have to go, and also need to process your commentary further.
Just wanted to acknowledge your post.
Starshipconstellation,
Excellent point, well put. 371bohemia hints well at exactly what we are considering.
Perhaps a stretch was required, and also to be free from the wrangling entangling down here.
371bohemia,

Dare you share some greater details?

371bohemia's comments point well to some of Ericswan's details here, for example:
2..also disclosed privately by OB2 and publically by me was the information that Mars and the Moon have been occupied by humans with bases on each for quite a few decades including the first moon mission in 1969.
IonTruO2-->This has been my sense for awhile as well. Is your info, tangible? I'm sorry I don't know of this OB2 person well, although I have seen reference a few times to him.
Anyone remember back when we Blogging with the Capt's Blog and working with some considerations around people like Arthur C Clarke and Robert Heinlein?
Well, I had found a 'fictional' timeline chart that referred to the establishment of "Lunar City" around 1975ish,
which subsequently had ONLY the years edited out, in later publications of the year based 'timeline' chart.
So, could you share some further info Ericswan? Perhaps 371bohemia would be willing to offer a hint from his position?

IonTruO2-->Hard to address that Wayne, very well here, right now, bro. Blasted's post at Wednesday, March 08, 2006 12:39:23 AM described it best. Let me get back to you, perhaps e-mail.

lemme guess.. Wheaties right?
Spoon feed the wheaties 'n piss
yes, symptoms.. lots of WHY's.
All that yet, no IT. No WHAT.
hmm.. WHY - WHite lYing..
"white lie, n.
An often trivial, diplomatic or well-intentioned untruth."
often used to protect another from the pain of, or mis-lead another from the real truth..
necessity is the mutha of invention..
imagination is the mutha of reality.
If it can be thought.. it can be done.
The KEY to the future is in the very distant past.
Go there and work forward seems more productive than extrapolating from dissa angle.
I repeat:
>What could possibly be SO big, SO important, SO overwhelmingly powerful, that all this covering up throughout history was ever even deemed necessary to begin with?
WHAT?
sunkink,
RCH should go to Albuquerque and get a damn job at McDonalds if he wants to "secure his retirement" not try to suck cash off of me using wild stories.
Mr. M. Wrentche, Esq.
Sunking,
Got it, thanks. Later
Eric,
Chemtrials -
Dont look up if you dont want your 8x10 glossy picture taken and mounted in the War Room.
M.Wretching
What cash did YOU lose to RCH, MW?
Ion,
But then I 'got it' from you, too.
Along the lines of Heinlein's "Take care of the cajones, let the frijoles take care of themselves"?
I tend to agree with you.

B_U,
Wow, thanks! I needed that.. WE needed that.
and actually, I don't think I've EVER been described as having a 'good grasp'..
Usually more the 'your a nutcase' type descriptive associations.. LOL.
Thanks.
peace
Mi tinks tho SunKing, when the American peoples finally do get that pissed, then the ground and foundations, that is the people, raise hell...
yes ya right, fed clothed shawn... and tucked tightly up every day and night...
how pissed to the peoples have to get, before they wake up ?
Blasted;
"
Fuck you. Strong letter to follow.
"
The subject line alone, would be enough... but the devils in the detail...
was thinkin and this is just out loud;
Da red pill...
In the matrix it was the Red pill Neo took to stay in wonderland and see how deep the rabbit hole went...
so made me think when I was reading ya words Ion;
"
We are so much more than That or This.
"
yes we are, we as Shoddies, have swallowed that red pill, even da monkey... (who is btw, adding humorous dialogue ((am intrigued)).
we are loads more than this or that, each day is a miracle. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed for everyone.
Just look at the storms (Severe) ripping through the USA. Tonight, today, even right now meteorological conditions, are taking peoples lives daily...
The folks that got eaten up by 'freak' weather, didn't see it coming...
each day we get ta wake up, see the sunshine again, and shape our lives for the better is a miracle.
a smallish rant bout goals and miracles;
miself started out in Hemel Hempstead, a London spill over town as far from the Caribbean and tropical paradise as Karl Rove and Hillary Clintons knickers...
And from working with mi dad, (who also ran a part time business as a chimney sweep), as a kid, sooty and grimy each saturday between the schools, ta earn mi weeks pocket money, from magazines and years of reading pirate books, being by the ocean for the families holidays used to dream of living by a hot tropical beach all the way back then...
{inject years of JW suffering, large divorce, lots of heart-ache, beating self over head for stupid mistakes, training in the gym and generally having a psy ops ville fun (not!) life...}
to living here in the Carribean, some 25 years later...
...in St Kitt's, Surfing, diving, snorkeling*, living, getting drunks at rum shacks wid loads of like minded friends round da island, and get to blog with all of you just generally living in paradise with the one love herb...
Mi dreams came true... that was a miracle.
I wake up everyday in mi dream come true...
How did that happen?
I mean, how many of us, have sat in despair, with our heads in our hands and thought, I can't go on...
only to find the answer is simple and a few months later, almost forgotten and in those few moments at the time, it was life and death, mentally...
each day is a mental miracle.
Shaping our work, toward our true dreams?
for me, living next to da Caribbean beach, is mi dream come true... with mi wifey and huge circle of family/friends out here... it's a miracle.
work toward ya dreams, but keep it simple...
hope mi life example gives some of ya some insight of how it could turn out, some insightful words from mi dad as a kid;
no matter how bad it gets, you can always just pack up what you have and move to an island and live off coconuts if it all gets too much...
He was right...
Each day is a miracle crew... each day we get to see and learn and love...
We are soo much more than this or that...
Those words meant, that light was always at da end of the tunnel.
Burst through into that light mi did, and sharing it with ya all here :)
In 2004, sold everything in UK and moved here, to the Caribbean...
Then made THE discovery;
Free spiritual energy in the form of Cannabis, means that each of us, can achieve our spiritual and physical paradise; look at my example fa instance...
we can do it, starts with freeing each other :)
So Neo took a Red pill, to me, Cannabis was the Green pill (same affect, just missing the wet drop and special affects...).
hmmmmmmmmm
PS *went out snorkelling y'day, the oceans still chilly, but the visibility 80 feet again :D was gorgeous... sigh...
I'm sure that's the deserved fate of all Squirrel Worshippers, blasted! LOL!
LOL... blasted and ya nutcase squirrel hi hi hi
PS is this whole, 'let Bush carry on his Presidency thing, to prove how mad he really is?
I mean how much more obvious does it have to get ?
American's wake up, for gawds sake, he's an eejit!

Yes, it is.
Global anarchy is better.

Quit yer braggin, yer paradise-livin', irate-pirate! Been missing the beach life, lately...a lot!

hi hi hi...
I'm beginning to enjoy the creative uses of 'identity' here.
Adds to the 'moving target' nature of FSHOD.
Am also enjoying the seeming resurgence of relative posting lately...I needed the change.
B_U,
So far so good. Thank you.
I hesitate to mention this, but how ironic that yesterday the Vice President (not the President!) rattles the saber and draws the line in the sand (a la 'the Alamo'), making a grave warning to Iran...and at meeting of the American Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC), of all the available venues.
Stimulatin' jas.. for sure.
Interesting..
what is the attraction with sand, sun, wind, water.. that EVERYONE on da planet longs for?
besides all the obvious, 'o course..
remnants of ancient consciousness? genetics perhaps?
elementals.. earth wind fire water..
Isnt THAT all we truly seek?
THE Life source/force?
It takes few words to speak the truth.
