What if The FACE...ain’t?
I pose this question because the act of asking it is something that frightens me far more than proving it to be right.! With this new mars probe, all of us have our collective hopes up that MRO will take some pictures of the engimatic Face on Mars and of Cydonia...and then that some rogue scientist-, explorer- or mystery-guide-wannabe somehow, somewhere strolling thru some white room or lab or computer server or whatever! and will be able to copy or reproduce just one definitive image!! We all know that whether it’s 'official' or not, it will be probably be done, that MRO will be tasked to snap a few quickies. NASA has too many people, from the scientific community down to the humble FSHOD blogger, betting on it. My guess is they will actually snap the pictures.
What the conclusion IS of those pictures will become a much more hotly debated matter. Let’s 'face' it (no pun intended) NASA can’t really win either way. If it does turn out to be an actual architectural structure they are gonna have a 'lotta splain’in to do'...or will they? Hey Photoshop does wonders for “erasing” crow’s feet from my face in pictures, why not on an ARTIFICIAL structure? A smudge here, a warp there, and VOILA! You have Mount Pile of Rocks! “See, all this time it was just a bunch of dips and valleys and, oh never mind that lake there, and peaks and see…just a plain old pile of nothing folks...”
But what if they ARE telling the truth?
What if it turns out to be a pile of rocks?
A pile of rocks that happen to have sacred geometric features...but none the less, a pile of rubble, a result of eons of comets smashing into its poor, red, airless surface?
Does it make us foolish for believing? Or brave, for dreaming.
Until we have independent human corroboration, by actually having a manned landing on the planet, I am afraid we will all go to our graves wondering how this little mystery in life will turn out. A picture just ain't gonna do it!
Frankly, I really don’t WANT to know because half the fun has been the speculation. By not knowing I have been entertained, cerebrally expanded, and most importantly, introduced to better human beings than I would have ever known otherwise. Life would just be too damn boring.
That having been said:
I do believe that they will finally have to come out and admit to some sort of “life” out there. Of course it will all be of the microbial sort, too small to make people fear of little green (gray) (wo)men, but none the less it will be “life”. I’m sure to go to the grave with that “mystery’ solved.
But I believe that Mars, in my lifetime, will forever remain an enigma...and that’s fine by me.

Yes...what if it 'isn't' ?
TWO five sided 'pyramids' in the same area.
TWO faces (the second to the east of the main face at a 30 degree
angle).
A 'City' around the 'Starfish Pyramid' AGAIN arranged in a 5 fold fashion.
A 'Square' to the south of the main complex.
I think MRO MAY reveal all this to be something that no one expected
at all, completely unrelated to ET (?).
If it's 'nothing', well, I'll think I'll cross that bridge when I come to
it...but I don't think anything would have been wasted in that case and
we're still would have been right to 'stick to our guns'.

My Answer: I think we should get to know each other even better.
Not be afraid of upsetting each other's feelings but without going too
far, and with respect.
Be aware that, for me at least, we have been inculcated (was it you who gave
me that word?) into a system that thrives on running on auto-pilot and
backing away from difficult questions. For anyone who has been bought up
in this system, then extracting oneself from it is going to necessitate some
pain and soul-searching...but the rewards will be great.

sort of thing all the time...I actually think that a lot of headway can be gained
by making mistakes and, of course, just larking around occasionally.
I do suddenly feel a strong responsibility to 'sort myself out' as I believe
personal growth is the greatest step towards real change for good in society.
I know there's probably some presumption, even patronisation in my words
towards other people...but that's something I'm learning how to handle.
Just a reduction in fear really...a reduction in the fear of looking 'stupid'
when talking about big things...a reduction in the fear of 'hurting people's
feelings' when we should be grown up enough to take those feelings into account.
This is not an easy time...and I don't always feel it's that easy to intellectualise
about it when a lot of this is based on feelings and instincts..."feeling our
way into the future".
What strange times...I think 'it's happening';

People being seriously hurt by a drug trial in London.
This "mental house" is beginning to collapse.
I don't think Civilisation is going to end, or anything.

In your post about Stardust at the bottom of the last blog's coments page, it talks about minerals that formed in our Sun that was found in the Stardust samples that were retrieved. I have a question for some of the science minds you come into contact with...
Q: How can they differentiate minerals from our Sun with those from another sun, or if it was 'ejecta' from the Center of the Galaxy? Does each star have a 'signature', so to speak?

Even though a lot of the "proof" that has been shown has been substantiated with less than good quality evidence. It really is a shame that we have been given such fodder to attest to the "greatness" of our space accomplishments. It seems that these things are really being withheld from us. Otherwise, why not let the world see all the data in it's raw form?
I always find myself remembering Sitchen's books too when I see these pics. Although not everyone digs what Sitchen had to say or even digs him as a person, he has put forward some compelling info. Many writers have and I have always been amazed at how quickly they are shrugged off. I think the saddest thing about all of that is that as we tout our inherent desires for truth in all things we form fit everything to our world. The world we "know" so well, and our universe. We are right and we know it.
All new theories are homogenized and the growth of new and different ideas is squelched and abandoned. That is sad. We can't grow because religion gets in the way. Is anyone thinking in new outside the box ways? Maybe the black op guys are I don't know. The things we've seen seem to say they are.
I believe that there is more. More history, more than religion, more than science. Our evolutionary history and DNA have scientists scratching their heads. What about the extra 223 genes? Where DID they come from. It bothers me to not know. I believe we are not the only ones in the universe. I believe we are not alone here on Earth. I believe in believing in way more than is available in life on this planet.
To a certain degree, my life is good. Got a job I love, excellent family life and good friends. But there is a hole. A hole that is difficult to fill as it is easy to feel impotent in the grand scale of things. I search for that something, I read a lot and I try to learn what I need to find what I am looking for. Maybe I will find that something when I die. Maybe I will find it before. The bitch is I am searching for something! Almost feels like it is something I should already know, but I don't know it. Is it tied to Mars? The Moon? Iapetus? Giza? I don't know. But these things sit well within me and that says something. But not everything. I will continue to search. I would only like a bit of time during the grind to do some good searching.

ok...this has been an interesting program on THC. But there is sense of disinfo...almost like they are trying too explain away TOO many UFO incidents to the SR71 Blackbird and the Stealth bomber. Now while I can agree that there is some likelihood of black hi-tech mistaken for alien craft, I don't think it answers all cases.

Paradigm Lockout, Paradigm Paralysis?
The power of the paradigm tells you what you see. The prevailing comet theories see this image of Tempel 1 as an insubstantial "dirty snowball" or "fluffy dustball", and the Electric Universe theory sees this image as a substantial cratered rock, whether or not embedded ices are present.
Today we feature excerpts from four newspaper articles that are reporting what they are told by their scientist interviewees.
A September.07, 2005 article in the Guardian reports "Deep Impact space collision reveals comets to be fluffy balls of powder". This is the latest adjustment of a theory of comets that has seen them first as "dirty snowballs", then as "snowy dirtballs", now as "fluffy balls of powder". Each adjustment has come after new observations have surprised space scientists with data that the older version of the theory failed to predict. Such a consistent series of breakdowns after spot repairs should lead one to suspect there may be a larger flaw in the theory and to consider alternate explanations. But undue attachment to the flawed theory locks one away from other possibilities.
A September.07, 2005 article in the New York Times reports, "The collision tossed up thousands of tons of ice and dust from the comet...." On the same day, an article in the Baltimore Sun converted the ice to water: "The impact spewed out millions of gallons of water in tiny droplets and up to 10 times that much dust".
What was actually observed was the signature of water in the spectrum of the light from the comet. That the water—as water or as ice—came from the comet's nucleus is an interpretation delivered by the prevailing paradigm. Because comets are isolated bodies that react only to the gravity and radiation of the Sun, the theory implies that there is no source of water except their own nuclei.
Other paradigms suggest other possibilities: In an Electric Universe, the observed water did NOT come from ice on the comet. Rather oxygen ions were electrically machined from the comet. These ions combined with hydrogen ions in the solar "wind" to generate water in the coma, or plasma sheath, that surrounds the nucleus.
The Baltimore Sun further reports:
"The probe hit the comet with the force of five tons of TNT, forming a crater the size of a football field, A'Hearn said, as it plunged "tens of meters" down into the comet."
But the same article revealed, "The dust and water particles spewed out by impact were so tiny and bright that no images have captured the crater's location."
The power of the paradigm forces scientists to describe the depth of the plunge and the crater when these can't even be seen. This would be a prediction, not a fact. But because no other possibility is imagined, scientists "know" a crater exists without having seen it.
The New York Times article continues:
The Spitzer Space Telescope "detected specific colors of infrared light that indicated that Tempel 1 contained clays and carbonates, the minerals of limestone and seashells.
"Clays and carbonates both require liquid water to form.
"'How do clays and carbonates form in frozen comets where there isn't liquid water?' said Carey M. Lisse, a research scientist at the Applied Physics Laboratory at Johns Hopkins University who is presenting the Spitzer data today at a meeting of the Division for Planetary Sciences in Cambridge, England. 'Nobody expected this.'"
Minerals known as clays and carbonates" are commonly known as sedimentary rock!
The article adds, "Spitzer also detected minerals known as crystalline silicates. Astronomers had already known that comets contain silicates, but silicates line up in neat crystal structures only when they are warmed to 1,300 degrees Fahrenheit - temperatures reached at around the orbit of Mercury - and then cooled."
Minerals "known as crystalline silicates" are usually better know as rock. In the prevailing model the nebular cloud giving birth to comets lies out beyond Pluto, and therefore the temperature would have been far below 1300 degrees.
Of course in the prevailing model the nebular cloud from which comets are thought to have formed places their formation out beyond Pluto, and therefore the temperature would have been far below 1300 degrees.
In the Electric Universe model comets are the debris that has been electrically excavated from the rocky planets and moons in catastrophic episodes of discharge with other bodies. Cometary nuclei did not condense from a diffuse cloud in isolation but were part of a rocky body before they became comets.
Finally, the New York Times article stated, "Observations of the Deep Impact collision confirmed that the comet is mostly empty space. The outer layers of Tempel 1 are 'unbelievably fragile, less strong than a snow bank,' said Michael A'Hearn, the mission's principal investigator".
Confirmed? This is not a fact but an unwarranted assumption forced by the model. It's needed in order to "explain away" the double flash at impact, which in the prevailing paradigm can only mean that the impactor hit a double crust or boundary.
In the electric model, a double flash is expected because the impactor and comet have different charges. A potential difference—a voltage—exists between them. When the impactor gets close to the surface, an electrical discharge—lightning—will flash between impactor and nucleus. If the impactor is not torn apart by the discharge, it will produce a second flash when it impacts moments later.
With a different paradigm, the observation confirmed that the comet is mostly, and perhaps entirely, solid rock. Unless a range of alternatives is considered, confirmation only means that you see what you believe. DJBarney: you remind of those times when I would survive another horrible respiratory infection and when everything was back to normal, the "normal" would actually make me feel giddy because I felt so good free of infection and breathing deeply. between the trauma/amnesia as discussed above, and the re-establishing of ways..

In essence, everything we know concerning history, in context, is wrong. In other words, why did the Egyptians suddenly arrive in history? We don't know why, we just know that they did. Why did Sumer arrive? Again, we don't know why. Our history developed after their arrival; our lives became something ELSE - something different, something that was never supposed to happen.
An archetype defines as coming from Latin archetypum, from Greek arkhetypon "pattern, model," neut. of adj. arkhetypos "first-moulded," from arkhe- "first" + typos "model, type, blow, mark of a blow."
This reflects, as information, what was known first. In this case, known as an approach to life. Data held by humans through which they lived their lives. It directly implies an earlier approach to living life that we today call the Goddess Culture, which, if you have noticed, no longer exists.
The idea is that these earlier humans had an approach to life, and, at a particular point, after literally thousands of years of application, this approach was suddenly questioned. There was a reason for this new doubt and subsequent "questioning." Something happened. This thing that happened was expected and the old oral tradition spoke of it. The old oral tradition also spoke of a response to this event. It was the response that failed to happen. When that which was expected failed to occur, panic set in, and, doctrinal changes began.
Very much like being caught in a building that a minor fire has erupted in, we know the Fire Department will arrive. In the case of the ancients, that "fire" erupted, but, the expected "Fire Department" never arrived. They didn't come because it was only a - minor fire. At this point all of what we know about Fire Department response would fall into question. Rules regarding escape would be changed because things we held as true were seemingly wrong. In order to save lives we would now have to rewrite everything and make sure all people in "the building" knew about, and followed, these new sets of changed rules.
So, what happened in history? What was the event, and what was the expected response to this event, that never happened?
The archetypal information that was held by the so-called Goddess culture has, for the most part, been lost. The "rewriting" of information has seen to that. However, thanks to the effort of a particular group (actually a PART of the original group that held the ancient information, and did not agree with the ideas of rewriting), the most important part of the ancient beliefs has survived. We call this topic today: The End of the World. If we look, THIS is the main subject running in the background of history: "If we don't behave, the gods will destroy us AND the world we live on."
The so-called end of the world is not really an END at all (although it COULD be, but, so far it has not been). It is a recurring climate effecting phenomena that comes from the sky. It is today called a Galactic Superwave by Dr Paul LaViolette, the scientist that has worked on this project. Humanity went through, and survived with the help of the "gods" (the Star People), a major superwave climactic event in the Age of Virgo.

Scarlet, great post. I like your focus, the way you leave it open. The Journey
and questioning is the best part. I have heard it said that Nasa folks just go nuts
over the face, what a distraction etc. Yet RCH isn't completely off base in his assertation
that NASA's dealing with areas and images is at the very least strange. The manipulation of
their follow up face image to squash the question didn't quite work. So the likely hood that they
will be playing more games with future images and not released images certainly exists.
I would guess that this craft will image areas that we won't be seeing, so lets hope
someone there makes an effort to return some of the juicier info. to the public.
Real science (see bohemias last post)and the mystic / startling stuff are always
camped out in opposite corners but my respect is for those who deal with both.
Both should co-exist. Every great leap forward is an 'ah ha' and blasts gaping holes
into the existing beliefs of researchers. Perhaps the startling information is
more upsetting by a thousandfold to researchers and scientists than it is to the
masses. This may be part of our dilemma in seeing the goods, along with the power
holding appeal. Brookings was / is a clever con that still impedes progress.
Technology prizes are an interesting development and have yielded advances but
the contest for spaceship one may have set their sights too low. Despite a
new design, new materials and computing muscle, spaceshipone, the winner of the
Ansari X Prize, essentially replicated the flight of the x-15 an experimental
plane developed almost half a century ago. We should be going into Earth orbit or
even Lunar orbit. Give us a challenge that actually takes us further, and takes
us (non-military censured) somewhere, perhaps closer to Mars.

Now back to my paying job which presently involves the word 'audit' I can
assure you this is ugly, includes a sudden dump of number crunching that is
making for a couple of terrible 14 hour workdays. I would much prefer to be f-shodding
and working on a magnetic over unity motor. In fact tomorrow morning I will
tell my bosses that my deadline cannot be met but that I am getting a headache
doing the work-showing them I am serious about my job- lol woooo hooooooo

Cooper wasn't really giving us everything he knew. He mentions insect like aliens recovered from spacecraft in New Mexico, Norway, etc. and that they came from an "incomprehensible planet". But at the same time, he infers that the "Secrets Act" prohibited him from full disclosure and leaves the reader (Behold a Pale Horse) with the question; "Did they really find spacecraft or is it a hoax". He wasn't sure and argues both scenarios.
As Scarletm suggests and I concur, "Who knows". I do, however, think that the "wheel" is a step backward. The ancients left few clues Egypt, Peru, etc. but were there others? Did "Moderns" destroy the libraries, the cultures, the knowledge or did they secret them away into "private collections" as a powerbase for their continuing good fortune?

In Space, we need to head off the multi-nationals at the pass and claim all minerals in Space for the people. Otherwise, we're in a situation where corporations can glean knowledge from the US space program (an asteroid with minerals) then run off to exploit that knowledge with China, or under some other flag of convenience. The people pay, therefore the people OWN all knowledge resulting from NASA.

Why are they running those shows again? Good question. This weekend they ran Stone's JFK. But before that they ran The Kennedy Assassination Beyond Conspiracy, which was about the biggest piece of dyzinformatzya ever created. I am deeply interested in who financed/commissioned that piece of garbage and then in who decided (and at who's behest) to run that. NASA scientists have new mystery to solve

NASA scientists have a new mystery to solve: How did materials formed by fire end up on the outermost reaches of the solar system, where temperatures are the coldest?
The materials were contained in dust samples captured when the robotic Stardust spacecraft flew past the comet Wild 2 in 2004. A 100-pound capsule tied to a parachute returned the samples to Earth in January.
The samples include minerals such as anorthite, which is made up of calcium, sodium, aluminum and silicate; and diopside, made of calcium magnesium and silicate. Such minerals only form in very high temperatures.
"That's a big surprise. People thought comets would just be cold stuff that formed out ... where things are very cold," said NASA curator Michael Zolensky. "It was kind of a shock to not just find one but several of these, which implies they are pretty common in the comet."
The discovery raises questions about where the materials in comets form, he added.
One theory is that particles from the outer reaches of the solar system slowly move toward the sun, where they are set ablaze and shot back out. A scientific model once suggested that might be a natural occurrence, but it wasn't accepted because materials tend to cluster in zones the farther they are from the sun, Zolensky said.
If the model were true, materials would mix more, the NASA scientist said.
"It raises a question of why we still see zoning in the asteroid belt. It is a big mystery now," Zolensky said. "It's kind of really exciting."
He said it is also possible that the comet particles could have been formed in another solar system and catapulted into our solar system.
To determine where the particles originated, scientists are now studying their isotopic makeup. About 150 scientists worldwide have been studying the dust since it arrived.
During the $212 million mission, the Stardust spacecraft looped around the sun three times to capture the interstellar and comet dust. The comet dust was captured in a silicone-based material contained in a tennis racket-sized collector mitt.
The mother ship, which has traveled nearly 3 billion miles, remains in permanent orbit around the sun. The next time it flies by Earth will be in January 2009.
Don Brownlee, a University of Washington astronomer who is the mission's principal scientist, said in a few weeks or months he and his colleagues hope to know more.
"It depends on whether the isotopic composition indicates these grains are from our solar system or from another star," he said. "It's a real exciting mystery story. So stay tuned."

If we were to conference via text chat, I think Skype would be ideal since it's just as free as IRC, MSN or Y!, with the added benefit of being so heavily encrypted that security experts have recently posited that Skype communications are likely beyond the N$A's ability to snoop. Of course it's safe to assume that they could probably crack any encryption key if they were sufficiently motivated, but the point of the article is that they can't passively scan Skype calls and chats the same way they do phone calls and IM's.
A Skype user can have up to a 5-person conference call (for free), and I think the limit is higher for text chats, but I'm not sure. We should try this out sometime.
Of course, all it would take for our chats to be snooped upon would be for a snoop to earn the trust of the person who starts the chat (the only person who can invite users into a conference), which would make it no safer for us than posting here out in the open. It's probably still worth it for smaller group discussions, though.
While I'm on the topic of Internet security for Red-Pillers, I think everyone here needs to know about TOR, The Onion Router, which is a piece of free, open-source software you install on your computer which provides a proxy server you can direct your web browser (or any other Internet-communicating program which lets you use proxies) to send all traffic through a peer-to-peer encrypted network of other TOR users, where your traffic follows a random path around the network before exiting at a random server node (which anybody can opt to run on their computer). This means, for instance, that Google will usually think you're accessing it from another country altogether, because in fact you are.
Using TOR means your ISP (or a Carnivore box installed at your ISP) can't see what you're searching, reading, posting or otherwise communicating through the TOR network. If they were to snoop the unencrypted traffic coming through all the exit nodes (or set up their own exit node to monitor), they could see what was being accessed but can't determine who is doing the accessing (unless the traffic itself identifies you, such as with a blog comment), or where you're accessing it from (again, unless you somehow give this away).
Further, intrepid geeks can run what are called hidden services, which means you could run, say, a web server which can only be accessed through TOR and whose location cannot be determined, thus it cannot be taken down. It's tyranny-proof.
TOR was originally developed at U.S. Navy R&D, but as I said, it's open-source software, so if anyone well-versed in C/C++ reads through the source code, they should be able to find any holes or backdoors. So far it seems nobody has.
To me (and I'm sure most of you), this is truly one of the best things since the invention of bread slicing. Check it out!

that the Cairo museum is FULL of literally thousands of un-categorised artifacts
(there is a BIG effort, by Egyptians, to organise their entire approach to their
antiquities at the moment).
Is this a 'conspiracy' to 'hide' the important artifacts?...NO!...just the accumulation
of a bad categorising system...human error.
NASA 'ignores' the Face...would that really be surprising in a system that has problems
with the latest comet theories, etc ?
I think it turned into a 'social conspiracy' with both sides imagining that each
other are up to all sorts of curious things, when, at the end of the day, it probably

The ST-5 launch was scrubbed this morning because of a Pegasus problem. It didn't want to separate from the spacecraft. The launch is tentatively scheduled for Monday, 20 March, due to refurbishment and weather.

Ice Volcanoes on Saturn's Moon Enceladus
International team of researchers discovers ice volcanoes on Saturn's moon Enceladus
Scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics and the University of Potsdam have found ice volcanoes -- or what could be called "ice geysers" -- on the surface of Saturn's moon Enceladus. They made the discovery using a combination of computer simulations and measurements from the dust detector on the space probe CASSINI. The ice volcanoes are located at geologically young, warm structures in the icy moon's southern polar region. The ice particles probably are created from steam deep in crevices. Volcanic activity is now known to exist in three bodies in our solar system: Enceladus, Earth, and Jupiter's moon Io (Science, March 10, 2006).
Saturn's E ring, the largest ring around any planet in our solar system, is not only remarkable for its huge size. What is also astounding is that current optical measurements show it to be made of ice particles of nearly equal size -- a radius of 0.3 to 2 micrometres. The icy moon Enceladus was, however, expected to feed the ring with significantly larger pieces. The ring's mass distribution must thus somehow be tied up with the dynamics of the particles. Until now, however, scientists did not know how. Directly measuring ice particles near Enceladus promised to deliver a better understanding of the E Ring's complex nature.
On July 14, 2005, the CASSINI space probe came within 175 kilometres of Enceladus, which is suspected of being the source of Saturn's E Ring. This made it possible to measure dust distribution deep inside the area of Enceladus' gravitational pull. The scientists could thus investigate how the moon refreshed the ring with dust particles.
Until now, it was assumed that new ice particles were created by interplanetary micrometeorites, or ring particles themselves, bombarding the moon's surface. In this model, most of the fresh particles form a nearly isotopic dust cloud around the moon. In the other model, faster particles feed the ring. Indeed, the dust detector on the space probe GALILEO had already discovered dust clouds surrounding Jupiter's Galilean moons.
Measurements from the High Rate Detector (HRD) of CASSINI's "Cosmic Dust Analyser" (CDA), taken by scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg and the University of Chicago are however not consistent with this assumption. Observations showed that the maximum rate of impact was reached before the probe moved to its closest point to Enceladus. This can only be explained if there exists a strong anisotropic -- that is, directionally dependent -- dust distribution on the moon.
The dust detector was not the only instrument which came to show unexpected discoveries. Photographs of Enceladus' southern polar region clearly showed geologically young structures. Infrared images also indicated a warmer area -- a "hot spot" -- in that southern region. This led scientists from the University of Potsdam to model dust distribution on the moon under the assumption that there is an additional, tightly confined, dust source on its surface. The models indicated a contained dust source in the southern polar region. This turned out to be consistent with the probe's measurements.
This convincing match between models and HRD measurements (see image 2) led the Cassini camera team to look for, and find, volcanic activity. Enceladus is thus the second moon in our solar system where volcanic
activity has been discovered.

I've felt the same way you do for sometime now. The world is nuts. Has been for a long time. When it starts to weigh too heavily I do something like SK says. Turn off the TV and all the other things that overload with info and to coin a phrase from Waterworld I just go someplace and 'listen to the world'. For me that's by the ocean, but we all have that place we can go to,and connect to the One All Encompassing Power.

Someone was posting (either above or in the last blog, I don't quite remember) about the Secret Service Uniformed Division being implemented with the latest Patriot Act renewal. As I was reading that I suddenly found some things that had been bugging me whilst living in Oak Ridge suddenly made all sorts of new sense. For about the last two years, and this would be only one of many things to encourage me to seek residence elsewhere, there have been some strange police cruisers driving around Oak Ridge. They looked for all the world like regular squad cars except for the Homeland Security Department seal emblazoned on the doors instead of the usual city, county police stuff. But the creepiest thing was the highly reflective decal on the trunk: CENTURION. Always creeped me out to see that. I guess that was an early rollout of the aforementioned SSUD.
Anyhoo, I came across a link in my email today that I thought y'all might find interesting. I haven't had a chance to really look into myself as yet so may just be total crap, but might be interesting to check out. It's some kind of online radio show: Illuminati Coast to Coast. He provided a detailed account (to the profane) of the primacy and operational reality of the so-called Illuminati.
Prophecy indicates that at the end of the current Masonic epic these three things must be accomplished: 1) Converting base matter into primordial energy. 2) The "Killing of the King" ritual must unfold. 3) All that is hidden (with regard to "the plan") must be revealed.
Number one occurred on the 33rd parallel at the Trinity site in New Mexico: The first nuclear blast. A completely masonic "ceremony."

UFO sound - there are military people out there that could probably help you get opinions on the UFO sound. I don't know if they'd be "expert" opinions, but they would be people who have been paid to handle questions like yours for X number of years in uniform. It's not much, but considering UFO sounds are obscure, it would be like a blue-ribbon panel. The can't comment on what they know or anything military related ... but they can certainly apply what they know "on civvy street".

There is nothing or nowhere to fly north south. The curious thing is that our commercial jets have to fly thousands of miles to get to the next airport. These jets simply do not have the "nads" to carry non propellent materials in the gas tank. Too risky for them to lay down chemtrails. They would run out of gas..

I think they "need" me to make their work interesting. As CNN would say "keeping them honest". I have a vista of 60 plus miles from my front door looking north and 30 plus miles looking east. As soon as a chemtrail jet hits the horizon where the pilot can see my hometown, they turn off the spray. If they are behind a cloud bank they will try to sew the clouds together but that is detectable so the game of hide and seek has to be played with certain rules of conduct.
I'm not sure why they are so flagrant when they spray in your area. Plausible deniability comes to mind. I stop people in the street and point them to the sky "every time" I see a chemtrailer. Maybe that has a consequence to their activity. Canadians actually follow the UN laws of weather modification landmines, invasion of soverign nations (you get the drift) and since chemtrailing is actually illegal, they do what they can to avoid having their pictures taken including satellite kiss and tells if you get my "drift".
As a matter of fact, I derive a great deal of pleasure from photographing clouds, jets, helicopters and birds. The birds seem to be working with me on this project.

1. They're just as baffled as we are that there's a ginormous face staring up at them from Mars, and don't want to tell the public that they don't know what it is...
2. They're not suppressing the data, because there's nothing there to suppress (like scarletm's blog post said, "What if we're wrong?")...
3. They're jealous, because RCH found the City and all the other stuff before they did...
4. They want to gather ALL the facts they can about the Cydonia area before telling us about them (Which MIGHT explain why they could take pictures of Cydonia with the MRO, and not tell us; if we found out, we'd be hovering over their shoulder like dragonflies waiting for them to finish, which might be distracting to them. If they don't tell us, they can do all the stuff they need/want to do to either prove or disprove the artificiality of the Cydonia area without any pressure from anybody)...
5. They're a bunch of meanies...

After the various and sundry Mason / Antimason discussions we've kicked around, I've always been left wondering what the Mason's REALLY think about a lot of this stuff. Personally, I'm neither pro- nor antimason, I just know that I don't know enough about 'em to make an informed judgement and it raises all sorts of red flags to me that to know you gotta join up and commit. Since some of our past posters who have claimed Masonic status have themselves maintained that same damnably peevish stance of doling out just enough to make one want to rush out and join I realize that we have yet to see a truly rounded argument from a promasonic stance.
So I thought I would see if I could find one absent any Masons willing to just stand up and friggin' spill it. I can only point to Clan Destine as putting me up to this as I began with a search on Hiram Abiff, a name he so casually tossed out as an obvious bone and I was in a mood to bite, hehehe.
Here's what I found. Again, I cannot attest to the veracity of ANY of this as being a truly Masonic point of view as I simply don't know. But I do find it interesting, maybe even amusing, how this site that claims to be by Masons for Masons manages to take the research of Hoagland, Sitchin, et. al. and tie it all up with what appears to be a distinctly Masonic worldview. And, of course, it shows them to be truly a wonderful and benevolent group at the heart of it all which is to be expected considering the source. I also find it interesting that none of the pages are linkable from the main parent site which is http://www.mastermason.com which I am sure is fully intended to heighten the sense of real secrets uncovered. John you missed it or it was unclear that the question was about climate, not about the 'face'. Bohemia and other sources have reported about nasa politicos (Bush) suppressing climate research. Nasa politicos = Bush because they work for him. The ridiculing of climatologists findings is done by Limbaugh etc who as you know are Bush's cheerleaders. Climatologist and other scientists worldwide are appalled by the actions of Bush inc. NASA scientists are very upset about Bush's suppression of their climate data. Does this help, John? J, The point here is that nasa's suppression of climate data, or face data, or comet temple data etc etc, is not 'nasa' policy. Why would Bush et al. suppress the data? Maybe because with all the modification to weather systems and screwing around with the ionosphere they are doing, they are causing the changes. I posed a question before asking why they aren't being held responsible for the damage they are doing. There's the answer to the question of why they are suppressing the evidence. What would the consequences be for killing thousands with a hurricane out of control, or billions in property damage?
My gut feeling is that they don't even know the long or even short term effects of what they are messing with. It's my opinion that they look at each system they play with as an isolated entity and not they effect that one change has on all the systems that control the weather as a whole. Is it coincidence that the greatest melting just happens to be taking place in the area where the haarp arrays are?
And of course there is no altruistic use for this tech. Right out of the box they want to use it as a weapon. Why would that be? Here you have a weapon you can use to kill thousands, destroy property over vast areas, and call it an act of God. Cool! No fingerprints that can be proven and no culpability. After all nobody can control the weather. There is only circumstantial evidence. They can deny that any of the experiments worked. They are even legalizing the experiment. The perfect weapon.
Here's the best part. We are paying for it, and I'd bet there is no paper trail to where the money came from.

What I DO have is another theory on why NASA's staying quiet on Cydonia. This is gonna sound a little crazy, but I think it's possible they're waiting for a Democrat to be President again. Think about it, if they come out with the truth when Bush is President, he'll go down in history as being the President when we found evidence of intelligent life elsewhere in the Universe. Now, if this happened with a Democrat President, I think it'd be a major victory for them (bragging rights, essentially). Just a thought...

If Dubya admits to global warming, then he just about has to also admit that oil-burning automobiles are a big cause, and that other Big Bidness companies are responsible for pollution that adds to this problem. No, seeing that Dubya, or more correctly His Minions, are all owned by Big Oil/Big Bidness, there ain't a chance in Hope, Akansas, that Dubya would agree with this....cuz that would mean that:
- Big Oil/Big Bidness would have to spend BIG $$$s cleaning up after themselves
- Big Bidness would have to spend BIG $$$s to changes processes and ways of doing business to meet standards of, say, the Kyoto Agreement, or somesuch.
- "Detroit" would have to spend more money to make fuel efficient and emissions efficient cars, which means we'd have to pay more and car sales would slump, and "Detroit would make less profit.
- More fuel efficient cars would mean a reduction in oil sales which means Big Oil would make less profit.
- The Republicans, the RNC (and Rush, Sean, Assholes Inc.) would lose face and have to admit they had been worthless shills for Big Oil and Big Bidness.

Galaxy on Fire! NASA's Spitzer Reveals Stellar Smoke
Where there's smoke, there's fire -- even in outer space. A new infrared image from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope shows a burning hot galaxy whose fiery stars appear to be blowing out giant billows of smoky dust.
The galaxy, called Messier 82, or the "Cigar galaxy," was previously known to host a hotbed of young, massive stars. The new Spitzer image reveals, for the first time, the "smoke" surrounding those stellar fires.
"We've never seen anything like this," said Dr. Charles Engelbracht of the University of Arizona, Tucson. "This unusual galaxy has ejected an enormous amount of dust to cover itself with a cloud brighter than any we've seen around other galaxies."
The false-colored view, online at http://www.spitzer.caltech.edu/Media, shows Messier 82, an irregular-shaped galaxy positioned on its side, as a diffuse bar of blue light. Fanning out from its top and bottom like the wings of a butterfly are huge red clouds of dust believed to contain a compound similar to car exhaust.
The smelly material, called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, can be found on Earth in tailpipes, barbecue pits and other places where combustion reactions have occurred. In galaxies, the stuff is created by stars, whose winds and radiation blow the material out into space.
"Usually you see smoke before a fire, but we knew about the fire in this galaxy before Spitzer's infrared eyes saw the smoke," said Dr. David Leisawitz, Spitzer program scientist at NASA Headquarters in Washington.
These hazy clouds are some of the biggest ever seen around a galaxy. They stretch out 20,000 light-years away from the galactic plane in both directions, far beyond where stars are found.
Previous observations of Messier 82 had revealed two cone-shaped clouds of very hot gas projecting outward below and above the center of galaxy. Spitzer's sensitive infrared vision allowed astronomers to see the galaxy's dust.
"Spitzer showed us a dust halo all around this galaxy," said Engelbracht. "We still don't understand why the dust is all over the place and not cone-shaped."
Cone-shaped clouds of dust around this galaxy would have indicated that its central, massive stars had sprayed the dust into space. Instead, Engelbracht and his team believe stars throughout the galaxy are sending off the "smoke signals."
Messier 82 is located about 12 million light-years away in the Ursa Major constellation. It is undergoing a renaissance of star birth in its middle age, with the most intense bursts of star formation taking place at its core. The galaxy's interaction with its neighbor, a larger galaxy called Messier 81, is the cause of all the stellar ruckus. Our own Milky Way galaxy is a less hectic place, with dust confined to the galactic plane.
The findings will appear in an upcoming issue of the Astrophysical Journal. Other authors who contributed significantly to this work are Praveen Kundurthy and Dr. Karl Gordon, both of the University of Arizona. The image was taken as a part of the Spitzer Infrared Nearby Galaxy Survey, which is led by Dr. Robert Kennicutt, also of the University of Arizona.

I grew up on military bases, so I can respect the man and even respect the rank - while spitting on the uniform of a scarecrow we're collectively burning in effigy. I have always liked clan destine's posts, though I hoped to lure him to defending the uniform a few times, it wasn't anything personal - his being here and posting is definitely enriching.

Finally, time for an answer. Sincere apologies.
Each star does have a signature depending on it age. New born stars have different masses and lighter elements in their mass spectroscopy whereas older (heavier) stars have heavier (more dense) elements in their mass spectra.
I think the question is are stars unique. As usual, the answer is both YES and NO. They are unique based on age and mass composition but all stars of similar age have very nearly the same mass spectra ... so, here they are undifferentiable.
The only difference between our sun and it's nearest similar neighbour, Canopus, is age and hence mass spectra.
Ejecta from the centre of the galaxy is also mostly indistinguishable from eject from exploding stars. It blends in with the charged solar wind. Particulate ionisation, or the charge particles carry when ejected, help determine if it is from a solar wind or kicked-out from a star. Star ions are heavier and typically carry higher ionisation (+/-2 charge). Solar wind particulate material is of nominal charge (+/- 1).
Clear as mud? Please ask! I hope this helps.

In early modern physics, circa 1940s-1950s, with the great fits of Tesla and Maxwell's works, explaining interactions based on it's electromagnetic principles dug very deep into the understandings of matter and it's interactions.
Then, something happened ...
These models could become insanely complex. They became simplified, reduced, and watered down. Now, this very applicable branch of E-M Physics is so terribly diluted as to be almost useless except on the most practical and macroscopic scale. The simplification effort used to explain that electricity runs like water flowing in the direction of least resistance is useful if building a circuit. It fails miserably at describing the atomic and sub-atomic interactions -- which are in fact OPPOSITE to the effects observed.
I think I am wandering ... let me try to tie it up.
In short, the electric universe model was accepted in early modern physics some 60+ years ago. It was reduced for simplicity and the intricate details omitted and not taught to the typical student. Even some graduate physics students survive without this knowledge. Only those specialising in this area begin to see the amazing applicability and wide-spread usability for this forgotten, watered down branch of physics.
In reference to whom I had these discussions with, these are much older Physicists in their professions for some 30 years (these gentlemen are in their late 50s to early 60s) and have earned their Ph.Ds from the Max Planck Institute for Physics and Astrophysics at Göttingen and the other from Moscow University.

The E-M theory is inclusive. It incorporates all other theories. Input your parameters, turn the crank, and out comes the model. SImple parameters, and omission of the complex parts results in a simple model. For example, the accepted models of behaviour today. The more information one can insert, the more comprehensive the "model" becomes and the more "allowing" of exotic behaviours.
Look at work in high energy physics research and see what is accomplished in accelerators at CERN, BNL, UC-LANL, and SLAC. It is full of charges! (to paraphrase Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey")

As indicated in my explanation here above, I and others have found that it indeed does! The problem is how to explain and convince standard, mainstream simplistic science? SImply put, such grandiose and excessive equations and explanations is not necessary to get by today. It is similar to people accepting the fact that water is wet without the "what makes it so" part. I hope I am being understanding.

Science is given a very important tool only for someone to "re-invent the wheel" and have it ending up broken and everyrone thinks it's better. Why? I am not a person of scientific education but it just seems crazy to disregard such work. If I am missing something, I will stand corrected.

To answer:
The simplified Maxwell equations *CANNOT* support an "electric (EM) universe." Obviously, the equations are too simple and do not allow for multiple phasic parameters as evident in subatomic interactions.
EM = electromagnetic
Electricity and magnetism are intertwined. They go together. Electrical currents induce a magnetic (B) field and vice versa. To say only electric universe omits, I feel, the induced secondary component of magnetism. This may be nit picking but I believe it important to keep in mind. These were the first 2 theories to be unified. Next the gravitational theories are beginning to blend-in with the EM models. Gravity can induce electric and/or magnetic effects in some laboratory experiments. The effect is small but it exists and is measurable.
The Heavyside Story:
Not much is said about this and most of it is speculation. So, take it with a grain of salt. The story, as passed on to me by other professors almost reads like the Edison vs. Westinghouse AC/DC battle. There was some rivalry and resentment. I believe Maxwell & Heavyside were associates at one point. Obviously, Heavyside was not as published or accomplished as Maxwell. I suppose there was an element of jealousy.
Heavyside deep-sixed the extended Maxwellian equations by simply proclaiming the impracticability of these equations to daily applications. Heavyside clamoured for more useful, practical engineering solutions than an advanced, complex analysis.
The rest, as they say, is history.
So, to answer if Heavyside cut Maxwell, I guess you can conclude for yourself. I prefer to say Heavyside simplified Maxwell and hid the rest in the closet.

I am confused by your statement as well. It is NOT the watered-down, over-simplified versions that are important ... it is the original complete equations that allow for multiple parameters that are worth investigating. To me, these long strings of constants and symbols are magnificently beautiful! I look at it like others would a Michaelangelo painting. Then again, I am deep in this field and have a passion for complex systems and complex mathematics. So, perhaps I am not your typical person to ask.
Heavyside's desire was for simplicity. Heaviside is more of an engineering mindset than a pure scientific researcher, like Maxwell. If I can recall a quote attributed to Heavyside regarding his thoughts of Maxwell's full equations: "God would not allow such an impractical solution to our worldly events. Simplicity is the mindset of God."
There is disagreement whether or not Heavyside made this statement or not or even what it is in reference to. Personally, I have not been bothered enough to validate. I came upon it during my many readings.

Thank you, Uni! That is exactly my line of thinking as well. It is absolutely infuriatingly frustrating that my serious desire to seek truth, knowledge and even wisdom is so often met with the derailing attempts by others who claim to know that which I seek but only seem to want to play stupid, childish games.
My father-in-law is a Mason and we have had some rather interesting discussions. He is well aware of my seeker's mindset and occasionally I try to discuss my thoughts and conjectures with him. Not in an attempt to trick him into "telling secrets", but rather just an attempt to find a meeting of like minds as he is similarly inquisitive. These conversations usually end with his implying that I already know where to go and look and all I have to do is go and ask. I usually counter that with my stance that I have no intention of allying with ANY group that I am unable to get a straight answer from first which he follows with telling me the only way I'll ever get the answers I seek is to join. By this point, I'm generally frustrated enough to fire off with both barrels and explain to him that flawed-ass logic simply does not impress me one whit and we wind up with hurt feelings all around. Needless to say, I just don't even bother talking to him about this stuff any more. And in a way, I feel it's ultimately both our losses, but there 'ya go.

The answer is that I just got back on after a while (too much monitor radiation's bad for you). Thank you ver much for holding out hope for me. After I got offline, I went back to reading "The Monuments of Mars". I read about all the stuff NASA had done to suppress anything Cydonia, and I truly was surprised. The thing that surprised me the most was when I read about how the news about losing contact with the Mars Orbiter came shortly after NASA got a copy of what McDaniel wrote about them. It's possible they deliberately scuttled the Mars Orbiter. As I read on, I began to wonder what could have happened to this once-great agency to turn it into what it is today. I really hope that the MRO will get some very detailed, hi-res pictures of the Face, and the Cydonia region, and that the pictures will be released to the public...

I guess I do tend to be selective. I think the main reason is that I know more about what's going on out there in space than what's going on here on Earth. Plus, I have a tendancy to ramble...

I thought that you might care to elaborate about your seeing why Bush suppressed. Or perhaps you did not see why, and you were just politely thanking your friends for helping you to see? Did you see? Did you see, then what did you see when "everyone helped me to see why Bush suppressed the climate data..."?

The only thing the Monuments of Mars won't teach you : two things actually
(1) Earth monuments : placement vs design
Graham Hancock gives a street level interpretation of Earth monuments, but deliberately avoids the issue of placement. Since we're not at street level in the Cydonia Complex yet ... it's not his bag (yet).
(2) Graham Hancock is beholden to people who do not want the public to know about Earth monuments, because they would reveal the ancients motives for placing monuments where they did. I think Graham's only interest in Mars is to muddy the waters and vector research away from anything that would expose his little disinformation industry.
The question we are left with : why did the ancients position Earth monuments the way they did ?
if we had the answer to that, we might have a better idea of what to look for on Mars ...
It's best to just keep using orthographic projection maps - because the human eye is better suited to pick up patterns formed by straight lines. Get the map projection right - and we're off to the races. The presumption is always the same : orthographic projection - concocted by John Dee and Gerard Mercator and based on Ptolemy's 225* football shaped Earth is how the ancients saw the Earth ... and now the Martians too ...
Here on Earth, if you choose Jerusalem as a start position (following instructions from the Bible) all monuments, temples and mega projects align with one another and to the center. THAT is what we should be looking for on Mars FIRST - the start position or (literally) the contact point between heaven and Mars. Keep plotting the longitude and latitude of anomalies because the more the merrier ... but in the end, we'll be using Pythagoras to convert those coordinates into distance and bearing from the common center.
It's the only way ...

Unless, we're not supposed to ask the forensic questions ... we're supposed to stay tuned and write to NASA and pay to read more ... it gives the impression that Mars is a closed question, not an open one. It might be good PR and good for securing public money to simply hand RCH some over-processed photos and have someone else whisper sweet historical nothings about Mars.

Tackling the Mars mystery is going to make us re-think how we look at the Earth.
I also think the Mars Mystery should be something FSHOD can improve upon for future researchers - to prevent the next generation from being sucked into a con. The next generation, when the Napoleon Dynamite's among us grow up (provided they don't end up in uniform in Iraq) they will certainly want to know more about Mars than Graham Hancock and Richard C Hoagland have graciously provided us with.
RCH did some good work - but that was 1988 and there has been no follow up. Graham Hancock concluded, "we won't know if the Face exists unless we go to Mars" - DUH. Knowing how to put a satellite in orbit around another planet to take reconnaisance picture - is a good thing for humanity to know. We shouldn't stop doing that - what we need to do is gather better evidence, share that evidence without cooking the data for 7 months and over time, we will hopefully get smarter and start looking in more taget rich environments.
