I recently saw a movie called “Eagle Eye” and found in it’s premise something that may be happening even as we speak. The signs are everywhere, if one knows what to look for and understand what they see. We are more monitored electronically to a global electromagnetic sucking machine whose SOLE purpose is to gather as much electromagnet spectrum data as possible and store it, sort it, absorb it’s meaning, correlate it with other bits of information which may be tied together, and eventually produce a probability of some outcome from that piece of data.
The earliest name I recall in web ‘history’ is ECHELON. Which with self-autonomous “awareness” being doing in virtual 3-D Method and apparatus for total situational awareness and monitoring along with total Space Domination that such a thing as “Eagle Eye” may not be so “far-out” as to be possible under an ETI environment.
As an Earthling I feel like flying a distress American flag upside down because the “haves” are not taking care of our species very well. The Military who was supposed to “Preserve and Protect from ALL Enemies Foreign and Domestic” have become the world’s most hated super-power. And it also comes when a realization that America is broke from “Empire Building” and currently doing so under the False Flag Event of 9-11’s War on Terror. I wish I could do more to make someone, anyone, anything, any intelligence to help us in these trying times…and the worse to come.“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
That was the lesson of “Eagle Eye”. That an Artificially Intelligent piece of software made a judgment call that the current “haves” were NOT treating the American Citizens fairly and planned a ‘Coup d’état’. Command and control of remote objects and monitoring any video anywhere that was electronic, on web or not.
Only by physically destroying collection point did the trick, the AI not having the foresight to pre-load a copy of it/her self off-planet before being smashed. She never questioned the data. Every data bit was real.
There are Moon and Mars ruins we can discern from the photographic, electronic spectrum data and original first hand testimony on the Moon. Was it us before the last Milky Way Galactic Crossing? If we’ve known for a long time through “secret societies” and they are not going to share the knowledge with those stuck on Earth then we are doomed as dinosaurs.
There is a bi-faceted Ares Face in Cydonia on Mars that Cries up into a full Universe and says to all… We Were Here.
Was it us who built it, the D & M Pyramid, the Smoking Pyramid , the Tholus, the Square, the Fort, the Key, and the interlocking geometric hyper-dimensional relationships they form with each other when viewed from above? We cannot even re-do the Pyramids, Sphinx of Egypt, much less the ancient Mayan and other temples scattered across the planet showing previous crossings and leaving creations we cannot recreate now.
This time around it seems as if the “haves” have counted on surviving through the ground acquisition of many locations around the planet with the number of Military Bases and subsequent supply, support, command and try to control along with your neighbors while far from home. In addition to Anti-G Space Fleets of SpaceShips loading the chosen few to leave Planet Earth and pass 2012 in Orbit, the Moon or Mars under-ground bases.
For what? “Black Gold” ? …TRILLIONS of $$$ “Drugs”…BILLIONS of $$$

The coming Age of Aquarius. A New Earth . A New Solar System as we transverse through the upper layers of the Milky Way Galaxy in Alignment.
Will we have to crawl ourselves out from caves again and go through the madness of savage butchery that has been the male dominated model between “collapses” or “Re-Births” of our species? I think intellectual gains through the power of woman rule societal and militarily how different ideas really ARE gender based and it matters to the brutal truth and common sense of our survival to support humans rather than butcher them.

I don’t think our current “haves” of the planet our best interest in mind over-all. I think the clip for the 2012 movie is right you try not to panic everyone while handling the information…and the technology…you don’t tell us or give that technology to us when it might save billions of people at the worst possible times. Not very hospitable by the “haves” .
I apologize Ion I should at least left a comment that I actually HAD copied and updated version of my blog post to FSHOD merely to re-set the comment counter. I also value your insight into the SWORD persona…for all we know with his “re-awakening” we could be talking with the Moon and RCH’s DATA HEAD.

Well here it is the blog entry and we are closely approaching Dec 21, 2012.

So having read the Bhagavad Gita, some of what I see makes some sense.
From those recent remarks about the C3PO head(which we all saw some time back), I am brought to remember the myths, that the Empire in Star Wars ultimately was extinguished and the Harkonnen of DUNE were destroyed.
It seems evil is allowed to some point to realize some success or think they are succeeding and then with outstandingly perfect timing...they are undone.
Even in the 'plain ol' military we see there are layers upon layers. Different groups all with their own budgets etc. Higher and higher levels of secrecy. "Tranformers" showed a good hint at that. Things are very multi-faceted.
I am not blindly optomistic but the Honourable do exist. The whitehats, the Yellow Barets, the militias of the people are all quietly invisible until time to tip the scale.
Make no mistake, I agree with Robert's observations and these are the days that will test people's resolve to rightness. What do you devote to?

Jupiter Apparently Smacked by Rogue Object, New Images Reveal

Jupiter has apparently been smacked again by a rogue object hurtling through space, new images from amateur astronomers and NASA reveal.
A giant scar-like blemish has appeared in the clouds near Jupiter's south polar region, which NASA observed in infrared after receiving a tip from an amateur skywatcher in Australia. The likely impact appears to have occurred exactly 15 years after the remnants of Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 bombarded the planet in 1994 in an event that was widely predicted and scrutinized as it happened.
The latest impact was not predicted, and it was caught by chance.
"We were extremely lucky to be seeing Jupiter at exactly the right time, the right hour, the right side of Jupiter to witness the event," said Glenn Orton, a scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., in a statement. "We couldn't have planned it better."
Orton and his colleagues used JPL's Infrared Telescope Facility atop Mauna Kea in Hawaii to collect evidence of the impact. The initial call came from Anthony Wesley of Murrumbateman, Australia, who told NASA he noticed a new dark "scar" suddenly appear on Jupiter early Friday between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. EDT (1000 and 1600 GMT).
A hit on Jupiter
In an observation report posted to his Web site, Wesley said he almost missed spotting Jupiter's new blemish entirely because he was tired after a late-night skywatching session.
"It was a very near thing," he wrote, adding that by 1 a.m. Local Time, he decided at the last minute to keep observing for another half hour.
"I'd noticed a dark spot rotating into view in Jupiter's south polar region and was starting to get curious," Wesley went on. "When first seen close to the limb (and in poor conditions) it was only a vaguely dark spot, I thought likely to be just a normal dark polar storm. However as it rotated further into view, and the conditions also improved, I suddenly realized that it wasn't just dark, it was black in all channels, meaning it was truly a black spot."
The spot, Wesley added, was moving too slow to be a moon and his previous observations from two days earlier showed a pristine, spotless Jupiter. A short while later, he decided to begin contacting people to spread the news of his find.
Orton and his team haven't stopped tracking Jupiter, which is a gas giant and the largest planet in the solar system.
The near-infrared image collected by his team revealed the odd blemish, which appeared to have a bright center, and what looked like debris to the northwest of the likely impact site.
"It could be the impact of a comet, but we don't know for sure yet," Orton said. "It's been a whirlwind of a day, and this on the anniversary of the Shoemaker-Levy 9 and Apollo anniversaries is amazing."
Other skywatchers have also been tracking the apparent Jovian impact. Lars Zielke, a skywatcher based in Tvis, Denmark, spotted the tell-tale scar to much excitement.
"My camera showed the spot clearly and I was lucky to get at great sequence with the dark spot and Io passing by," he told SPACE.com. "I was so thrilled that I didn't stop in time, so I missed the first hours of work this morning."
Echoes of Shoemaker-Levy 9
Between July 16 and July 22 in 1994, Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 was torn apart by Jupiter's gravity as it swung past the planet. The remaining pieces crashed into the planet while astronomers looked on with telescopes on Earth and in space.
It was the first collision of two objects within the solar system in ever observed from Earth.
The impacts were cataclysmic. More than 20 fragments - some as large as 1.2 miles (2 km) across - slammed into Jupiter at 134,200 mph (215,973 kph) as the planet rotated, sending plumes of hot gas into the Jovian atmosphere and causing dark scars that lasted for weeks.
A similar impact on Earth would cause widespread devastation on a global scale.

Great blog Robert! All though I'm not so convinced about the whole 2012 thing. For me its the same as the Y2K bug. Everyone thought it was going to be the end and systems were going to crash all around us. Now being the "network weenie" (all though not a control freak like the rest SK! ;) ) that I am, I knew that only a few sporadic systems would be affected. The bottom line is we're using one calendar to explain something that doesn't coincide with that calendar. You might have already seen that Eric (from www.redicecreations.com) but for others its pretty interesting. So IMHO there will still be an end for some "tptb" because they are loosing that power/control but for those that follow the light it will be a new beginning. I have a growing belief that come Oct. 28, 2011 the dark evil forces around the world will be trampled by the light. THAT is why I think we're seeing things ramp up with the economy, potential forced vaccines etc.. It's all positioning, "they" are trying to position themselves by 2011...not 2012 to be the majority in power. But what they cannot understand is the money and power will be nullified and whats left is faith...too many good people with a faith in good not evil, their getting "REAL" nervous because "their" time is running out!!
I think the following (if enough people focus energy on it) would be "their" Damocles sword! After Oct. 2011 the ensuing race (co-creators) will live with understanding, love, compassion, integrity, charity...every moment will be lived with good intent toward the human race.

So well put. I feel that way too. I wonder two thoughts here. If the 2012 is a false date to allow them some extra time and leverage over the real date that is the swing point(so tospeak)..Or if the choice of a potentially popular date like 12.21.2012 is a clever way to align a larger populace focus..all at once on one particular day...right after the swing point. Perhaps as Zebowho says, the outcome of the turn of these times is already established.

"I wonder two thoughts here"...I've wondered too but I'm starting to think its more on the lines of a "bait and switch". Use what the masses are all ready focused on which is further down the road...then sneak in while very few are looking and try to play their hand.
Thats why I'm concerned about the vaccines and H1N1. By the way, I'm convinced that "That" virus is a lab Frankenstein! There was a discussion here a couple years ago about that and H5N1...very concerning, there were also some legit reports on this as well but I cant find them now!

I've looked (real quick) at a couple of images and have to say, there are some pretty interesting things going on! Lots of tall cone shaped shadows, I think I've even found what looks like building remnants just on the edge of the Big crater "Stickney" but could be pixelation.

I have to add Robert, Eagle Eye was a pretty good show and I'm just as sure as you are that the same technology is being used. Maybe not as grandiose as depicted in the show but on the same level fundamentally. Remember when computers were barely at the PII stage for cpu's? I remember a press release back then that stated: IBM and Motorola, in a joint venture, have manufactured a 4GHz chip but would only be released to industry!

Zebowho. Yes, I get your point and it sure rings true. Yet so many have awakened and many have awakened to 'witness consciousness' which is inherently transcendental. It doesn't require 'everyone' be awakened to carry Humanity 'up' to the next level(sotospeak). I remember a sacred text somewhere years ago said it took 1400 ascended masters who had returned to 'raise the djed' to the next consciousness grid.
1400 in six billion is a pretty reasonable number.
What he hell does any of that mean? Duh I don't know. ;) Ok I do sorta. But we have definitely seen radical shifting and intensifying of collective consciousness in the direction of Truth and real reality in just a few short years leading up to this turning point.
So, in some ways I am heroically optimistic.

I get from one of Richard's Shows that someone posted for sword where he was on for all 11 YouTube segments and he also was buying the erased tapes story. So wasn't Mike.
So...like the "False Conspiracy" we never went to the Moon that NASA started..ac to RCH (some other news reporter from that era called in and said he also remembered that "Flyer") the NASA MIB was handing out for the Apollo 11 coverage. The caller didn't hapen so save his either, but at least it's more piece of evidence this Flyer was real.
Being so meticulous on the site, ritual alignments, the rites preformed ON the Moon by Aldrin, the Masonic "tune" to the entire "public" space program when looking under the hood...
I think the ORIGINAL Apollo 11 tv-data tapes are SAFELY stored in some Masonic Lodge in a protective environment along with modern digital versions of the data from that landing...the whole thing.

This commonality of the human form is consistent with what my scientific research has uncovered regarding DNA — namely that it is not a random accident on this planet, but a highly advanced structure that is written into the background ‘energy’ of the galaxy itself.
Russian scientists such as Dr. Peter Gariaev have absolutely confirmed that DNA is an end-product of a wave that exists in the structure of energy itself. The energy exerts a gentle pressure that will spiral molecules in a given area into lifeforms, quite naturally. We live in a biological universe — what some have called the "Goldilocks Principle" is no accident.
Evolution is a programmed, intelligently-determined process that is managed by the galaxy, which is referred to as the ‘Logos’ in the Law of One series. This is the only intuitively-derived source I’ve ever found that corroborates all the most accurate witness testimonies.
What is of greatest interest to us now is that at certain pivotal moments, a given planet of humans experiences a sudden, massive evolutionary ‘quantum leap’.
This is an energetically-triggered process and we are already experiencing the initial effects of it now, and have been since 1936, according to the Law of One series. This is where "Thoughts become things," and it accounts for the decisive rise in cancer and negativity on the planet since that time. Cancer, of course, is a physical-body manifestation caused, in part, by thoughts of anger and stress.
On the positive side, many more people are having ‘awakening’ experiences. As I’ve said, I get hundreds of emails a week with people describing outrageous stories similar to what was happening to me in the 1990s, when all of this really kicked into high gear.
The events unfolding on the Earth now are meant to be scary, to help shock us into an awareness of our need for greater love and support of each other, but it is not at all taking us in a ‘doom and gloom’ direction. There is an urgent need for the positive to be voiced, but unfortunately the scholarship needed to articulate this point is much, much harder to come by than the plethora of apocalyptic personalities in the metaphysical field.

THE BACKSTORY
As part of the backstory, Dan had informed me that there was a treaty in place with the J-Rods, a group of beings from Orion who claim to be "future-human lineage" ETs.
In simpler terms, these are allegedly our own ‘ancestors’ who visit us from three time periods: 24,000 years in the future (P24s), 45,000 years in the future (P45s), and 52,000 years in the future (P52s.)
They are also called J-RODS, apparently because of a symbol they use to represent themselves that looks like the letter J with a bar or dash — a "Rod" — after it. The P24s are the ones who crashed in Roswell, and they look more like us than the P45s and P52s, who are more akin to "Greys."
Particularly as you get to the P52s, they experience a disease called "degenerative neuropathy" that quite literally is making their bodies fall apart, including their skin scaling off. This is what Dan feels is responsible for the ‘reptilian’ observations some have made.
The classic Burisch story goes that the J-Rods feel we had a cataclysm in 2012, caused by a "surge of micro-wormholes" from the galaxy, and that only a small number of them survived in the aftermath.
This drastically-reduced gene pool led to their stock dying out. And thus, they are now traveling back in time and abducting people in the hopes of gaining new genetic material to freshen up their stock.
As I mention in my first video, The 2012 Enigma, this same exact theme is precisely given in "The Last Mimzy," a film from the producers of Close Encounters that uses a children’s theme to express concepts that are very, very similar to Burisch’s testimony. That means that either the producers are major Burisch fans, or just possibly he is telling the truth — and they felt strongly enough about it to work it into a movie.
IDENTICAL TO THE ‘ORIONS’ IN THE LAW OF ONE
What has always shocked me about this story is how similar it is to what the Law of One series reports. They explain that the service-to-self faction of ETs originates from Orion, just as the J-RODS do in Burisch’s testimony. Henry Deacon also validated Burisch’s testimony as factual, based on what he was told.
The Law of One series also explains that over time, the service-to-self entities begin to ‘dissolve’ if they do not go positive, and there is nothing else that can be done. Either they go positive or they will die, and their soul energy will ultimately be divided up and recycled into new souls.
This ‘dissolving’ is precisely what we see with the degenerative neuropathy. Their DNA is the conduit between the soul and the body, and it is literally falling apart, causing the body to fail. No measure of interventions can help. There are no time-travelers from anything past 52,000 years in the future. Their line must die out soon after that watermark.
In Burisch’s testimony, the Orions have the treaties with the negative aspects of our government — the Neocons and so forth. They see 2012 as a cataclysm, and they survived from within the underground bases that the elite apparently go to when this happens.
As I keep repeating so many times, the Law of One testimony suggests that in the event there IS some sort of a mega-Earth Change in 2012, it only appears as a catastrophe for those on the negative path. Everyone else — both the positives and the in-between fence sitters — experiences a shift where they are in a safe, happy and unbroken continuity.
The negatives thus believe everyone has died because they can’t see them anymore. They are now on a completely different plane in which they have now created a reality of death and destruction that they must endure.

Yes,... it was a story from a few years back. I was using it to showcase that there are other levels that exist. With that curious example, one saw a hint of some other group at work. Bold enough to steal an A-10 Warthog and make it disappear. I don't think they ever did find it.
In his Monolith on the Moon of Mars YouTube posting, when Buzz mentioned an orbital period of 7 hours, that pretty well identified it as Phobos. There are numerous sites on the web that have info and pictures. One has the top of the 'monolith' zoomed so high as to be able to highlight 3 features and compare it to the constellation Orion.
So apparently this has been known for some time, but the question is why Buzz is talking about it now...other than it being the 40th of the Lunar Landing.

I had the sense when I made the purchase, that these early reports circa 1950's would have leaked some interesting if not "breaking" news about UFO's. What I discovered is that they cover all the same angles we cover on the internet. I follow that school of evidence that "flying saucers" are Nazi technology that has been refined by the paperclip gang in the last 60 years. Some evidence found on the net came from this mag including the AVRO flying saucers and their Nazi mentors.
My conclusion is that the suppression we see today has been in place from the beginning and there is simply no pressure from the public, then and now, to know the truth. I'm sure the circulation is up but I'm just as sure that it is up at the same percentage of population as we have today. Cannabis and its derivatives continue to account for the majority of revenue lost by organized crime at 91 per cent of all potential proceeds from seizures. Opium

(CNN) -- Authorities have seized $1 billion worth of marijuana plants and have arrested 82 Mexican nationals with ties to drug cartels in the first week and half of an effort to eradicate marijuana fields from California's Fresno County, the county sheriff's office said Wednesday.
The 82 suspects arrested so far have links to Mexican drug cartels.
Operation Save Our Sierra began July 13 and involves local, state and federal agencies working together to remove marijuana growing operations, investigate and arrest drug traffickers, and remove infrastructure on public lands in Fresno County, a news release said.
"This is a high-intensity drug trafficking area," U.S. Drug Czar Gil Kerlikowske said in a phone interview. "I think what should be highlighted here is the local authorities' work to reclaim the land from the drug traffickers."
The 82 suspects arrested so far have links to Mexican drug cartels, local authorities said, though they did not release further details.
Eastern Fresno County, where the seizures have been made, is mountainous and sparsely populated. Growers exploit the area's streams, rivers and lakes to create elaborate drip lines for their plants. A mature plant can be worth $4,000, said Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims.
"Fresno County is roughly the size of Connecticut, and the drug traffickers target these areas because they know there is not that significant of a law-enforcement presence," Mims said. "The chances of getting caught are slim."
"The bottom line is our public lands are being destroyed by foreign drug trafficking and heavily armed Mexican cartels," George Anderson of the U.S. Department of Justice said Wednesday at a news conference highlighting the seizures.

I fail to see any connection between the Masons and the atrocities you accuse them of. Did some folks that were Masons participate in atrocities against Native Americans? Possibly. But I doubt there was any wide spread policy with that or acquisition of lands owned by other countries. As for 9/11, Pah! Got any proof to back that up? WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama’s Cabinet members are going to spend part of their weekend at work.
The 22 officials with Cabinet rank plan to meet with White House senior staff at Blair House on Friday and Saturday. The idea is for the administration’s top officials to bond — and to look at Obama’s agenda going forward during the meeting at the government’s official guest house.
Obama and Vice President Joe Biden plan to visit the group on Friday. Biden will return on Saturday.
White House aides say the retreat will feature dinner on Friday night and several policy presentations on Saturday. They say every administration since Eisenhower’s has convened a similar gathering.
The meeting was first reported Tuesday on The Washington Post’s Web site.
A little excitement in the Ottawa Canada area yesterday.
Mysterious UFO Crashes Into the Ottawa River Monday Night
Dozens of residents of Canada’s capital city, Ottawa Ontario and nearby Gatineau, Que., witnessed an object streak across the night sky at about 10pm local time Monday night and crash into the Ottawa River with a “thunderous boom.”
The object had lights on it and appeared to change course several times, like a small plane struggling to stay airborn, before it hit the water.
It was such a sight that emergency rescue and search crews in the area sprung into action and began searching the area using sophisticated sonars and underwater cameras to try and figure out what the object was. Even helicopters from the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) in nearby Trenton took part. On Tuesday at 1:30pm, they discovered an object about 9 meters (30 feet) below the surface, but because of currents and nearby rapids, sending divers down would be extremely dangerous since they would be instantly swept away by the currents.
The mystery? Authorities and residents have no idea what this object laying at the bottom of the river is. There are no planes missing from the area, no other aircraft like helicopters, etc. are missing. There is no derbis, no oil slick and even space agencies that were contacted said nothing disappeared from orbit.
On Tuesday afternoon, Ottawa police Const. Alain Boucher said of the object they found on the riverbed:
“The size and the shape doesn’t lead us to believe it’s any piece of an airplane or fuselage or anything like that. It could be a rock, it could be a bunch of logs stuck together, it’s hard to say. No one has come forward with any kind of videos or anything like that at this time. None of the people actually reported seeing a plane go down at the same time.”
But the fact still remains - something fell into the Ottawa River Monday night that prompted a massive co-ordinated search by local authorities and the Canadian Military. They found an object below the surface and don’t know exactly what it is.
It truly is a UFO mystery at this point.

There are people like Wayne Herschel and the emerging Oneism.org movement. ..Again pointing to this unity or prior state of unity. The Dali Lhama says there is no separation. Da says there is no difference. Real Reality precedes and there is only oneness.
Teachers like Da say "you are the Gods' I am here to awaken".
We are slowly coming to realize this is a matrix an appearance, a virtual reality. Filled with feeling and apparent beginnings and endings etc but nonetheless, not really THAT WHICH IS.
So I find some of us have been psycho-nauts and explored through drugs etc alcohol and other means of seeking to know beyond what seems. From that, unusual things have come to be known and one experiences awakening so much more than maybe one thought would occur...Paths discipline and refine and people purify and cleanse and living starts to be alive and have direct conscious contact...contact with a living universe called NOW.
Bits and pieces reveal. Some understood, some not. Past life hints and other gifts occur.
Where this goes for me tonight as a consideration is that I had a nudge to consider comets.
Comets around my Birthday. Ok, so I started that thought with a look to see what might have been observed when I was born. I have no grandiose conclusion, but I am receptive to life's little revealings that can later clarify and be better understood.
Here is what I found:

The projected motion of the nucleus of comet Ikeya-Seki across the solar disk from October 19 to November 7, 1965, is analyzed, and an attempt is made to correlate changes in cometary structure with solar activity. It is found that the greatest effects of solar activity on the comet occurred near perihelion passage and after one revolution about the sun, when the comet was located above different active regions. The analysis indicates that the nucleus most probably underwent a single explosion 33 min before perihelion passage (October 21.16) and split into three(3) components.
elswhere I found on my Birthday itself: On October 25 morning observed by Simthsonian Station in Arequipa, Peru, saw a tail 20 degrees long and 3 degrees wide at the remote end, tapering from a star-like head of magnitude -2.
So as I said, I really don't have a conclusion to jump to but felt it a heck of a wild coincidence that at 33 min before perihelion passage it splits into 3.

I looked up for a moment and two satellites crossed paths above me. It's a wonder they don't hit each other. I don't recall ever seeing two satellites intersect. It must be getting busy up there.

Bill Gates recently patented a "hurrican blocking" tech which has ships pumping cold water from the bottom up to the surface. I think it's a cover for the HAARP setup which presently steers the hot air from the west coast up to the Yukon then sweeps straight down with cooler air to Iowa which is having a bumper corn season. Another high pressure system off the east coast is an umbrella for incoming hurricanes. It's such a prevalent feature that this high pressure (HAARP) system is deflecting everything like a hurricane shield can do. It may have something to do with the placement of a second HAARP system in Indonesia. Triangulating the jetstream to the position of defensive end just like a football game.

ORLANDO, Florida (Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc is discussing with U.S. health officials the possibility of putting vaccination sites at some of its stores for an H1N1 swine flu inoculation campaign this fall, a company official said on Thursday.
Federal officials met with Wal-Mart executives on Wednesday in Arkansas to discuss the issue, Dr. John Agwunobi, president of health and wellness for Wal-Mart U.S., told public health leaders at a conference in Orlando.
"We are in discussions with CDC (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and others in local and state departments to see what role we might play," Agwunobi said. "It might be we are a site. It may be help with logistics and with supply chain."
Agwunobi said 140 million people walk through the doors of its 4,000 U.S. stores each week.
U.S. health advisers have said about half the U.S. population should be vaccinated against H1N1 influenza. Up to 160 million doses of flu vaccine will be available for the start of the campaign in mid-October.
The H1N1 swine flu, characterized by mild symptoms in most patients, is now so widespread that the World Health Organization has stopped counting cases.
Speaking at the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) annual conference, Agwunobi also said Wal-Mart is planning to be a site this fall for seasonal flu vaccinations, administered by a third-party, at stores in most parts of the country.

I was reflecting the other night on this 'ship' and like Bob I was feeling better for this group. More than just reporting links and news snippets like some RSS, there is an undercurrent that feeds our threads.
I just heard a really good interview with Alex Collier from this past April2009. I hardly knew this guy until recently, but I found him compelling, specially at this later stage of his 'work'.

I like Heinlein. I think he time travels. Nonetheless, I dug into my collection of FATE mag archived material that goes back to 1948 but in my collection, 1955. I was looking for a story I recently read that puts meat to the bone of nazi flying saucers very much earlier than Heinlein...But I got distracted and for that you all must pay. The story that got my attention was in the April 1957 ed. and it is a story of Tesla's love for pigeons..but...he had one particular pigeon that meant the world to him. It was a pure white female with slight gray wing tips. To cut to the chase, this pigeon flew into his New York hotel window in dire straits. The bird was dying. At the moment of it's passing a great flash of light departed from the bird's eyes. Tesla believed (according to this story) that his days were numbered.
I had a similar experience. In the fall of 1977, I had a trap line in Northern Ontario. On this particular occasion out in a beautifully crisp winter day, I was checking leg hold traps that had the carcasses of numerous beaver wired to a pole and surrounded by huge leghold traps. This day was my last day of trapping. A young orangy gray beauty of a wolf had a front paw and a back paw caught in a trap. Another trap had an upright frozen stiff raven caught in it like a decoy. There were other traps that had not been set off. The bush around me was alive with the pack moving just out of my sight but within my hearing. This setup was 50 ft from the trapper's cabin. The wolf didn't try to knaw it's leg off in a bid for freedom. The legbone front and back were severely damaged and the wolf severely wolf like. I had never seen a wolf in the wild and still haven't to this day. I talked to her and let her know that I was going to put her down in a few minutes. I sat on the cabin stoop smoked a cigarette, then tried to figure out how to dispatch this wolf. I found a pole stout and solid. The pack was getting antsy. As I approached, my empathy for this wolf just tore me to pieces. I did not hesitate. As I drew closer to this animal with two feet trapped, her eyes flashed orange light, she bowed her head and I cracked her twice between the ears. The pack followed me and my wolf out of the bush. I didn't look back. Within a couple of weeks, I was out of trapping and working as the garbage truck driver at the Banff Springs Hotel.

Listening to the recent Collier interview, I am intrigued to hear 'him' talking about the other galactic races and the practice of harnessing asteroidal bodies and converting them for space use(ie travel). The essentially hollow them out and put in place thrust and stearing(so.to.speak). Great concept in that 'what becomes the ship in fact supplies the resources'...and supplies them as they go. Our premise at this human level is to waste huge resources 'just to build the external shell for a ship'.

One of the main points of the Temple1 mission in the impact study was they were trying to understand better how to re-activate a dormant comet. Peyton the other asteroid that I read referenced in an official document(pdf) was most intriguing but Temple1 offered the best fly-by and although Petyon was in fact the mother of the Perseids Meteor Shower , she was exhausted and now defunct whilst Temple1 was considered merely 'dormant'. In the article, it was said clearly that as they understand now how to re-activate a dormant comet, that it is/was readily easy to de-activate an active one. wink wink....Earth Defense tool. Great points Ion! Water inside comets really makes sense! One of the two things that puzzled me when I did my study (all be it, short ;) ) on Temple1. There were shock waves seen in the photos I adjusted, that radiated from almost everywhere and spread out pretty far. If water was inside then it makes total sense how that thing rattled like a bell...it almost looked like it was probably shaking like a bowl full of jello!
I hear ya with the Lagrange points as well. Those have always been fascinating for me. There was a computer game I played a little bit, quite a while ago called Independence War. It was the most realistic and true to life space illustration I've ever seen. No engine noise (except when inside the ships), traveling at current speeds for long distances literally took hours (real time) and the view through the "window" hardly changed, they even had a "space elevator" that lifted you to the space port. They had "stargate" points scattered everywhere and the only stable place to keep them (according to the storyline) was Lagrange points!! That was back in '97 and they even said that you could stray from the storyline and actually explore but to be careful, if you got lost it could take days...maybe even a couple of weeks (if ever) to get back. I never did to far...with all the proof of "disclosure hidden in plain site" shown here and everywhere else...I wonder what "else" was in that game.

Further to my thoughts on the various disclosures we have been hearing about the ET use of asteroidal bodies(moons) and the recent realization of liquid water "in" common asteroids lasting for millions of years, I found a few other teasers that lend support to it from the human perspective.

The moon is once again a popular destination, as several space-faring nations are talking about setting up bases there. One reason would be to mine fuel for future fusion reactors. The fuel in this case is helium-3, a lighter isotope of the helium used in balloons. In high energy collisions, helium-3 fuses with other nuclei to release more energy and less waste than the reactions in traditional nuclear reactors. "If we can show that we can burn helium-3, it is a much cleaner and safer energy source than other nuclear fuels," said Gerald Kulcinski, director of the Fusion Technology Institute at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Ok so H-3 might already be an energy source at the 'Black level'. This comment that followed gives a good hint as to why it might be attractive to many races as a useful fuel to be harvested from large bodies that can also act as 'ships'.
The one thing not mentioned is the large amounts of water formed as a byproduct of H-3 extraction. The Moon may be dryer than any desert but hydrogen from the solar wind and oxygen from mineral oxides are very abundant.

Right after this comment here is a further tweek that I found relevant.

Logically this is how I thought of it... If you consider the bodies involved you realize the you have to push a vehicle out of Earth's gravity well all the way to the point where the Moon's gravity equals the Earth's. Then the vehicle would have to travel down the Moon's gravity well and expend fuel landing. Then the vehicle would have to expend fuel to get back up the Moon's gravity well. The energy required for this is more than is required to just leave Earth.
The Moon really makes sense as a launching pad only if the materials for the vehicle originate somewhere other than the Earth.
...and I say the ET races learned this a long time ago and thus were free to go travel in shielded style on a huge scale, with full resources on their back.

KC: Right. So, to move on from there, David, I did want to get your take on this recent article – I don’t know if you’re aware of it – talking about bombing the Moon. And I did get feedback from Richard Hoagland about that, which I think I can talk about. But I’d like to get your take, first of all, in what you think that’s really about.
DW: Well, there’s different ways to look at it, and I talked about this on the show I did yesterday on Myth or Logic Radio. I’m inclined to think that this is part of the space race in which the Chinese are getting to the Moon and there’s things that they might find that we don’t want them to find? So it’s kind of like, "Cover your tracks and blow up the evidence while you still have a chance."
Then there’s the more mundane explanation, which is that explosive charges are used to rattle the ground and then get seismic readings – which could suggest that there is some archaeological effort being made. If they believe that they’ve found energy tracings or readings or something suggesting something under the surface of the Moon…
And we have evidence. In fact, one of Henry Deacon’s testimonies is that the Moon is an artificial satellite. So there may be some other motive.
And it could be as simple as whatever the main story is. We can’t necessarily assume any conspiracy. It could be as simple as what we’re being told, although it often is not. But I’m interested to hear what Richard had to say because he and I haven’t spoken about this yet.
KC: Okay. I’m actually finding his email here.

KC: He says that the story is wrong, that NASA is not planning to bomb the Moon. He says that the upper center stage of the Atlas V launch vehicle that launched NASA’s latest unmanned mission to the Moon last week, will impact the Moon in October, just like the countless comets, asteroids and meteors that have done for eons.
He’s saying that, in essence, the impact will be smaller, and that there’s a comparison with some earlier Apollo impact events, and that they basically are going to be studying it as an experiment to see what happens.
[laughs] I’m sorry. I don’t believe this whatsoever. I think he’s actually going in the wrong direction. So if he’s listening, I’m sure he’ll probably have a great retort. We would love to have him on, by the way.
DW: Well, don’t forget…
KC: But I do think… I did talk to a secret witness recently about this – another secret witness – and he talked about the fact that, actually as I was thinking, they’re planning to actually bomb an underground base on the Moon.
It may be an old base they don’t want people to find or for China and the probes to see. Or it actually could be a current base of a certain ET race that we’re at war with – which is what the secret whistleblower I was talking to was alluding to.
DW: Well, isn’t it interesting? A few years back, in the media NASA openly acknowledged that there is a spy satellite named Clementine orbiting the Moon. A SPY satellite!
KC: [laughs] Exactly. What are they spying on?
DW: What the hell do you need a spy satellite for if there’s nothing out there?
KC: And we’ve been kept away from the Moon, at least in the major media and according to the party line that we’re told, theoretically.
DW: Right. I mean, if we spent hundreds of billions of dollars on these Apollo missions getting out there, what the hell did we spend it for if, once we get there we’re like “Oh, okay. Been there, done that. Next.” You know. I mean, what was the point?
It’s really silly because when you start looking at it from a deeper perspective it’s very obvious that there are technologies vastly in advance of what we now know or understand.

The Perseid meteor shower is about to peak The show begins after sunset on Tuesday, August 11th, and continues until the sun rises on Wednesday, August 12th. A time of particular interest is 0800-0900 GMT (1-2 a.m. PDT) on the 12th. That's when Earth is expected to pass through a denser-than-usual filament of dust from Perseid parent Comet Swift-Tuttle. Forecasters are unsure what will happen, but some have speculated that meteor rates could surge as high as 200 per hour. Bright moonlight will blot out many of those Perseids, but even a fraction of 200 is a good show.

My take on the October 9th LCROSS kinetic impact of lunar south pole:
The story is the impact takes place in a large crater which because of its position never gets sunshine and thus is dark to "visible" inspection, and because it never gets sunlight it is likely that any acumulated water may still be frozen in place.
The guest on Coast who was objecting to the "bombing" of the moon said it would create a five mile wide crater. Hoagland said it would only create a 500 feet wide crater. (in terms of diameter, that is a difference of about the order of 260 times.)
Haven't we had satellites for decades that can peer through the surface of the earth and find oil and other minerals and water? So even if we can't see the bottom of the crater in the visible spectrum, we should still be able to see any water-ice accumulated there with proper instruments and without the impact.
So it maks sense to me the October 9 lunar impact is a cover for something else.
One of the first rules of weapon safety is never fire a shot without being able to see the target clearly. This impact into a dark hole without knowing what is there violates that rule, and probably violates internatonal space treaties as well, as the guest on Coast asserted.
But it may be a metter of cleaning up some stuff that the secrit space program doesn't want China, Russia, India, Japan, et al to find in the new space race (including the American tax-paying public, but then we're always in the dark, like mushrooms....

I had heard before that the "Venus Fly-trap" was first found after a meteorite impacted in the area. And that there had been people living in the area for several centuries before the impact who never found such a plant.

Some of these objects, down to a few centimeters in size, present a potential threat to commercial and civil space operations such as the International Space Station.
What then should we do? What role should the US Government, and specifically the US DoD play in what everyone agrees is an international concern?
I'll begin my short CCNet-essay with a disclaimer. The US Department of Defense (DoD) has no official view on the Near-Earth Object (NEO) hazard. We have agreed to assist the overall United States effort led by NASA with technology and observational support. Official disclaimers out of the way, I'll provide my personal views in the remainder of the essay.
For those readers who don't know me, I'm a US Air Force officer with a background as a research astronomer. Although I began as a solar physicist my current research interests--in the few moments I have time to do research--are focused on NEOs and meteors. Most of my recent work for the Air Force has been in developing options to perform selected national security missions from and through space. In the past decade I was responsible for much of the US DoD work to develop small satellites, microsatellites and reusable satellite launchers. The 1994 Clementine mission to the moon (originally intended to include an asteroid flyby) was one of the my programs.

China warns against missile defence systems

GENEVA — China's foreign minister warned on Wednesday that there was a "looming danger" of an arms race in outer space, as he urged countries not to deploy missile defence systems that could undermine global security.
"The practice of seeking absolute strategic advantage should be abandoned," Yang Jiechi told the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.
"Countries should neither develop missile defence systems that undermine global strategic security nor deploy weapons in outer space," he added.
US President Barack Obama has been reviewing a planned missile defence shield championed by his predecessor, which remains a major source of tension with Russia.
The Obama administration has not backed down from the shield, which would partly be based in Poland and the Czech Republic, but insists that is not directed against Russia.
Russia's air force commander said on Monday that Moscow was developing new missiles to counter space-based systems that could soon be deployed by the United States.
"Outer space is now facing the looming danger of weaponisation," said Yang.
"Credible and effective multilateral measures must be taken to forestall the weaponisation and arms race in outer space," he added, calling such steps of "high strategic significance."
Both Russia and China have proposed a new treaty banning the use of weapons in space, but the idea has been rejected by the United States.

We review the theoretical and observational evidence that, on timescales relevant to mankind, the prime collision hazard is posed by temporally correlated impacts (coherent catastrophism, t ~ 10 2 10 4 yr) rather than random ones (stochastic catastrophism, t ~ 10 5 10 8 yr). The mechanism whereby coherent incursions into and through the terrestrial atmosphere occur is described as being the result of giant cometary bodies arriving in orbits with perihelia in the inner solar system. Hierarchical fragmentation of such large (100 km-plus) bodies due to thermal stresses near perihelion, collisions in the asteroid belt, or passages through the Jovian Roche radius results in numerous ~kilometre-sized objects being left in short-period orbits, and appearing in telescopic searches as Apollo-type asteroids. Many more smaller objects, in the 10 100 metre size range and only recently observed, by the Spacewatch team, are expected to be in replenished clusters in particular orbits as a result of continuing disintegrations of large, differentiated, cometary objects. Gravitational perturbations by Jupiter bring these clusters around to have a node at 1 in a cyclic fashion, leading to impacts at certain times of year every few years during active periods lasting a few centuries, such periods being separated by intervals of a few millennia. Furthermore, fragmentations within the hierarchy result in significant bombardment commensurabilities ( t ~ 10 10 2 yr) during active periods occurring at random intervals ( t ~ 10 2 10 3 yr). It appears that the Earth has been subject to such impacts since the break-up of such a comet ~2×10 4 years ago; currently we are not passing through a high-risk epoch, although some phenomena originating in the products of this break-up have been observed in the 20th century. This most recent hierarchical disintegration, associated with four well-known meteor showers and termed the Taurid Complex, is now recognized as resulting in a dozen apparently asteroidal objects almost 10% of the discovered Apollo population as well as Comet P/Encke. A substantial asteroidal remnant of the Taurid progenitor may still be present in resonance with Jupiter. The implications of the existence of any asteroidal or meteoroidal cluster due to the progenitor are briefly discussed. We emphasize finally the relative importance of active and inactive comets in the cratering record, pointing out the potentially significant contribution by disintegrating large comets to the population of inactive Earth-crossers.

The giant comets normally reside far beyond the planets, in a spherical cloud surrounding the Sun, called the Oort cloud. There is also evidence for a flattened disk of comets closer to the inner solar system, called the Edgeworth/Kuiper belt. What prompts members of either of these comet repositories to enter the realm of the planets? Clube and Napier suggest a galactic influence. The solar system periodically passes through the plane of the galaxy as the Sun (and the solar system with it) orbits the galactic center. Each passage may dislodge giant comets and divert them closer to the Sun. The outer planets, particularly Jupiter, may then perturb some of these giant comets into orbits which enter the inner solar system. These comets, stressed both by gravity and by heat from the sun, may fragment into a cloud of smaller objects with dynamically similar orbits.
Chiron offers a good example of a giant comet as called for by Clube and Napier's giant comet hypothesis. Chiron is somewhere between 148 and 208 kilometers in diameter. Currently Chiron's unstable "parking orbit" lies mostly between Saturn and Uranus. Chiron may end up injected into the inner solar system within a hundred thousand years, or ejected from the solar system on a similar time scale. It is also possible that Chiron has already visited the inner solar system.
The Taurid complex and the Kreutz sungrazer group are two families of objects which most likely represent the fragmented remains of two giant comets in the current era. SOHO has recently discovered many new members of the Kreutz group which were previously unknown.
The Kreutz progenitor was injected into a retrograde orbit and attained the sungrazing state at a high inclination to the ecliptic. Hence the debris of its "children" does not pose a threat to the Earth. The Taurid progenitor on the other hand ended up in a short-period low-inclination prograde orbit. This is why the Earth can encounter its debris with potentially calamitous results.
What would happen should the Earth pass through the orbit of a disintegrating giant comet just before or after the comet passes that same point? Since larger fragments tend to cluster close to the nucleus of the comet, chances would increase that the Earth would be bombarded by these larger fragments. The severity of this comet fragment shower would far exceed any ordinary meteor shower. Not only would "shooting stars" and bright fireballs caused by small debris appear, but so too would large airbursts and possibly ground impacts. These would result in significant destruction should they occur over an inhabited area. If a large enough fragment struck in the ocean -- say, 200 meters or so in diameter -- it would raise tsunamis even at a great distance that would sweep away coastal habitations.
Duncan Steel, a colleague of Clube and Napier, refers to this process as coherent catastrophism. Widespread destruction derives from the coherent arrival of many impactors within a few days, as opposed to the sporadic arrival of objects spread randomly in space. The shower repeats for a period of years until the cometary orbit precesses so that the Earth no longer encounters the dense part of the debris field. (Of course, sporadic debris unrelated to the disintegrating comet may impact at any time as well.)

Tropical Storm Claudette threatens Fla. Panhandle

PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Brewing in the Gulf of Mexico, Tropical Storm Claudette was bringing heavy rain to the Florida Panhandle Sunday, likely becoming the first tropical storm to strike the U.S. mainland this year.
Claudette had winds of at least 50 mph, but was not expected to cause significant flooding or wind damage. Lurking more ominously in the Atlantic was Tropical Storm Bill, which was quickly turning into a powerful storm over warm waters in the open Atlantic with sustained winds of 65 mph. Ana, a tropical storm that had also been churning in the Atlantic, had weakened to a depression.
Heavy rain began in the afternoon in Pensacola as Claudette approached. On Pensacola Beach, the National Park Service closed low-lying roads that connect the restaurants and hotels to the undeveloped National Seashore and historic Fort Pickens Fort.
The Park Service said campers would be ordered to leave the area because of the likelihood of the road flooding.
In Panama City, the Bay County Emergency Operations Center opened a shelter at a local high school for residents of low-lying areas and people with special needs.
Earlier along Pensacola Beach, surfers under gray skies enjoyed the waves and tourists mingled on the beach, despite a tropical storm warning covering most of the Panhandle, from the Alabama state line to the Suwanee River more than 300 miles to the east.
Miguel Gonzalez, on vacation from North Carolina, was unconcerned about the storm as he readied his children for day on Pensacola Beach. But he said his family would head in when the rain started.
"We will just stay out there for an hour or so, take a few pictures and then leave," he said.
Rainfall of 3 to 5 inches was expected, with isolated areas getting up to 10 inches, forecasters said.
"We may see some heavy rains as a result, but we don't expect any high winds or coastal flooding," said John Dosh, manager of Emergency Management. "This event is a good example of how quickly a tropical storm can develop. We won't always have a lot of warning. This is why citizens need to be prepared throughout hurricane season."
Pensacola Beach is still recovering from Hurricane Ivan, which devastated the western Florida Panhandle and parts of Alabama in 2004.
At 5 p.m. EDT, Claudette was about 40 miles west-southwest of Apalachicola and moving northwest near 14 mph. Its center was expected to reach the northern Gulf Coast by Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, Ana's winds had diminished to 35 mph and was expected to make landfall at the Leeward Islands early Monday. Watches were posted for Puerto Rico, the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Antigua, St. Maarten and several other islands in the area. Ana was forecast to bring 2 to 4 inches of rain.
Tropical Storm Bill, however, was intensifying far from land in the open Atlantic, and could become a hurricane late Sunday or on Monday.
In the Pacific, Hurricane Guillermo had winds that had dropped to 85 mph, and it was expected to lose steam in the next day. Guillermo was moving west at 14 mph, about 995 miles east of Hilo, Hawaii, and didn't threaten any land.
Despite the storms, a warmer weather pattern called El Nino over the Pacific Ocean is generally expected to damper the formation of tropical storms in the Caribbean and Atlantic this year, said Brian Daly, a meteorologist with the national weather service in Mobile, Ala.
"It's pretty frequent that an El Nino year would be somewhat delayed with fewer storms," Daly said.
Forecasters revised their Atlantic hurricane season predictions after the first two months of the season passed without any named storms developing.

So much rich and unusual experience came to me. I went far with the visitors in both the inner and outer worlds. I came to know that our conventional wisdom about the world is profoundly flawed, and that we are much larger, more incredible and more vibrantly alive beings than we allow ourselves to be.
I came unstuck in reality and found myself able to challenge all of my preconceptions about the narrow linear conventionalities of life with actual experiences.
I got Robert Monroe's book Journeys Out of the Body and had a completely conscious and clean separation from my body. This was because they came and helped me do it, and it proved to me that the soul is a real thing, and that it is also part of the physical world.
All of my beliefs and expectations were turned upside down. I came to know many different visitors, and had the privilege of having them come to my cabin and meet other people there. The only thing they did not allow was photographs, and this was because this experience is not about proof of the kind that closes questions.
Their school is a school of ascension, and to be free in the way that is on offer, it is essential that we entertain questions that we can neither answer nor bear to leave open. The energy of living with such questions expands the mind and enriches the soul. So the more enigmatic and provocative the visitors are, the more intense the questions we are left with and the stronger we get.
Ascension means to rise above, and a confrontation with a power as complicated and contradictory as the visitors leaves us with no choice.
They broke the shell of assumptions in which I used to live, that life is linear, that the only real world is the one I can see, that afterlife is a hypothesis, that we are living at the pinnacle of human civilization, that there are unbreakable laws of physics that vastly limit our scope, and that morality is nothing more than social conventions.
Life is hyperdimensional, not linear and the mind can be trained to see this. This is not our only reality. In the physical state, we are active. When our bodies transform--there is no death--we will have a much larger vision and will contemplate our physical lives until we either release from the wheel of life or re-enter the physical to more fully explore ourselves.
The afterlife is real. In fact, it is MORE REAL than this life. Here, we are more-or-less blind. There, we see across space and time, returning to what the Book of Ecclesiastes calls the "long home," which is a state of awareness of all our lives.
We are not living at the pinnacle of human civilization. We live on a planet that is prone to catastrophes, and this species has been buffeted back and forth between civilization and ignorance many times.
The laws of physics are accessible to manipulation. They can be changed and circumvented. Faster than light movement is possible. Time travel is possible. The promise of physical expansion to other planets is real.
But no amount of tinkering with supercolliders or inventing exotic fuels will help us. To advance to a higher level, morality does matter. In fact, it is everything. This is because ascension depends on lightness of being, and you cannot be light if you are embroiled in greed and afflicted by conscience.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The amino acid glycine, a fundamental building block of proteins, has been found in a comet for the first time, bolstering the theory that raw ingredients of life arrived on Earth from outer space, scientists said on Monday.
Microscopic traces of glycine were discovered in a sample of particles retrieved from the tail of comet Wild 2 by the NASA spacecraft Stardust deep in the solar system some 242 million miles (390 million km) from Earth, in January 2004.
Samples of gas and dust collected on a small dish lined with a super-fluffy material called aerogel were returned to Earth two years later in a canister that detached from the spacecraft and landed by parachute in the Utah desert.
Comets like Wild 2, named for astronomer Paul Wild (pronounced Vild), are believed to contain well-preserved grains of material dating from the dawn of the solar system billions of years ago, and thus clues to the formation of the sun and planets.
The initial detection of glycine, the most common of 20 amino acids in proteins on Earth, was reported last year, but it took time for scientists to confirm that the compound in question was extraterrestrial in origin.
"We couldn't be sure it wasn't from the manufacturing or the handling of the spacecraft," said astrobiologist Jamie Elsila of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, the principal author of the latest research.
She presented the findings, accepted for publication in the journal Meteoritics and Planetary Science, to a meeting of the American Chemical Society in Washington, D.C., this week.
"We've seen amino acids in meteorites before, but this is the first time it's been detected in a comet," she said.
Chains of amino acids are strung together to form protein molecules in everything from hair to the enzymes that regulate chemical reactions inside living organisms. But scientists have long puzzled over whether these complex organic compounds originated on Earth or in space.
The latest findings add credence to the notion that extraterrestrial objects such as meteorites and comets may have seeded ancient Earth, and other planets, with the raw materials of life that formed elsewhere in the cosmos.
"The discovery of glycine in a comet supports the idea that the fundamental building blocks of life are prevalent in space, and strengthens the argument that life in the universe may be common rather than rare," said Carl Pilcher, the director of the NASA Astrobiology Institute in California, which co-funded the research.
Glycine and other amino acids have been found in a number of meteorites before, most notably one that landed near the town of Murchison, Australia in 1969, Elsila said.

First Tunable Electromagnetic Gateway
........In the research paper, the researchers from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Fudan University in Shanghai describe the concept of a "a gateway that can block electromagnetic waves but that allows the passage of other entities" like a "'hidden portal' as mentioned in fictions."
The gateway, which is now much closer to reality, uses transformation optics and an amplified scattering effect from an arrangement of ferrite materials called single-crystal yttrium-iron-garnet that force light and other forms of electromagnetic radiation in complicated directions to create a hidden portal.
Previous attempts at an electromagnetic gateway were hindered by their narrow bandwidth, only capturing a small range of visible light or other forms of electromagnetic radiation. This new configuration of metamaterials however can be manipulated to have optimum permittivity and permeability – able to insulate the electromagnetic field that encounters it with an appropriate magnetic reaction.
Because of the arrangement's response to magnetic fields it also has the added advantage of being tunable and can therefore be switched on and off remotely.

The slight strengthening was forecast because of the warmer waters. Where I am it is windier than forecast had predicted. This is pretty much what I see every single time that the solar wind is above 500 - the local winds here are a bit stronger than the forecast called for.
The emerging view is that solar activity drives weather on this planet more than it is given credit for, this includes winds, storms, cooling and heating trends and even ocean currents. The sun has no sunspots right now as the very quiet solar minimum continues.

Asteroid 'is actually spacecraft'
The unmanned Rosetta craft has already flown past Earth once
A supposed asteroid, which it was feared was going to have a near-miss with Earth next week, has been identified as a spacecraft.
Professor Alan Fitzsimmons of Queen's University Astrophysics Research Centre told the BBC there is "no longer any need for concern".
"The 'asteroid' has been identified as the European spacecraft Rosetta," he said.
The spacecraft is en route to a comet near Jupiter.
Earlier this year, the unmanned Rosetta craft, which has already flown past Earth once, passed within 250 km (150 miles) of Mars.
In a precise move, the probe used the planet's gravity to change course on its voyage to the Churyumov-Gerasimenko comet.

There's a steady stream (interesting thought) of bucket bearing helicopters over the neighbourhood and heading east. The winds are stout and blowing west to east so no smoke. Chemtrails are moving in from unknown sources.

I don't know what these are, but they sure are reminiscent of Robert Dean's ships he spoke about in Barcelona that were imaged both at the Moon and Saturn...with a size of 5kms(3 miles in length).

The propeller structures are unchanged as they orbit the planet.
They may well be "moonlets" as they say or at least 'spheres' with in 'the structures', but none the less I am intrigued as it still speaks to earlier thoughts on ...'vessels'... ;)

After the shuttle docks with the space station, there will be 13 people aboard the ISS.

The thing that caught my attention was a "theoretical" means of secure, unhackable by anyone, instantaneous (faster than the speed of light) comunication system.
That would make for excellent real-real-time command/control of remote battlefield robotics, drones, etc, from a distance. Also for better communication to/from the moon, mars, iapetus, etc. that the raqdio-speed time delay.
It would also be faster for round-the-world stock, currency, and commodity trading than your suggested "Compton" swindle.

Inaccurately L2 is not really a 'lowland'...it is a hill top. L5 and L4 are saddle types and truly neutral. L2 needs some fuel to hold position or one 'slides' off.

That would be it. The lat and long are part of the equation and the surge of energy seems to fly past the vortex and catch the eye wall. The result seems to be that the energy disapates the hurricane.

It will be interesting to see if this hurricane can make its way up to rain on the fires in the LA area or if it will wander off toward the NE or ENE and bring some much needed rain southern and middle Texas, or just peter out and dump the rain on the west side of the Sierra Maestras in Mexico.

Good catch on the "beam" Gort with that link it seems to come from south and hits the trailing edge of center and then slowly the atmosphere 'cools' back down and returns to normal...but the beam itselft HEATED the air as the red intesity shows.

Kerry gets on her horse for part 3 and makes that segment toxic. The best segment is part 1 and just about 2 hours long. New information like the halides contribute to hardening of the arteries.. I recall that during the day's when we were following this stuff with RCH, I was under the impression that there may have been a ground installation (permenant or mobile is pure conjecture) somewhere in Central America (Guatemala?)...which would theoritcally give it access to targets in the Pacific, Gulf de Mexico or even the Carribean.

Good advice, to encourage people to have a "bugout bag"...and now seems to be the time of most relevance.
I'm sure Sunking and Scarletm both already have something like that...being they live in hurricane central but it is a good idea and more and more the emphasis for some 'preparedness' is growing. In Canada the government is recommending basics for 72 hours but Peterson suggested to be basically ready to cope for 2 months independently.
I used to think of it more as 'ultra light camping' but now I find this nudge bringing me to think about some adjustments and tweaks. In my own scenario, I don't plan to count on cars at all. Plan for a bicycle or foot...or horseback. ;)
I fear not, but at the same time the basic survival courses I took years ago really drove home the fact that being simply prepared, it changes 'being lost' etc from a dire emergency into something more like an uncomfortable inconvenience.

I saw parts one and two of the Peterson Interview. Have to admit, Kerry's disjointed approach to interviewing, and sometimes it seems she is missing the point altogether, is just not my bag. Although her intentions may be good, I just don't think she should be interviewing people, at least without skill building.
These people they interview are once in a lifetime subjects, I'm not saying kid gloves, but planning is key. That off the cuff stuff never works.
How you guys doing? Me, I'm hanging and keeping my head above water. Good to "see" everybody!. Interesting times we live in. Could be a very eventful last quarter of the year. :D

I just finished watching all three parts of the Pete Peterson interviews. (not in one sitting. :) ), and have to agree about the disjointed interviewing technique of Kerry. Still there is a lot of good stuff from Peterson in that last hour. I think the stuff about the halides causing plaque in the arteries is in that last part, as well as the antioxident properties of "ratfish" liver oil. Also a little hint at the end about Peterson having worked with cetations and having come to know their wisdom. That could be a whole interview in itself.
All in all, I found the info about health and healing a lot more fascinating than the scary agenda stuff. still there is something to be said for being prepared for an emergency or "disaster."
I downloaded and saved the interview segments, so I can go back and rewatch parts of it without the pauses in streaming utube. I got the gist of most of what he said, but could chew on and digest a second viewing maybe more focused.
I like when said the first rule of government is to not panic the people with a problem, because then they'll want congress or the president (or the courts?) to do something about the the problem.
Maybe the corallary is if you want the congress or the president to do something about a problem, create panic in the populace. There certainly seems to be enough panic about the "health care reform" in the US, and now even about President O'Bama adressing the nation's school children.
I'm not worried about the Prez indoctrinating the youth... that's what we have the NEA (National Education Association) and the teachers unions for. ;)

You might also look at ccradio.com, a big and long time sponsor of C2C-AM. They have lots of cool radio equipment. And low energy use LED lights--just what you need to avoid cap-and-trade carbon taxes.
Still not sure how short wave radio or "ham" radio will help if the magnetosphere disappears or a solar blast kills ALL electronic devices, but short of that it's probably a good idea.
Also might be a good idea to buy an old "clunker"...that is a car that is pre-computer controlled.

Potentially the observatory could look for Earth-mass habitable moons around 25,000 stars up to 500 light-years away from the Sun. In the whole sky, there should be millions of stars which could be surveyed for habitable exomoons with present technology.
Whether or not such bodies are common in the Galaxy is unknown but astronomers now have the tools and the methodology to find out.
Dr Kipping says, "For the first time, we have demonstrated that potentially habitable moons up to hundreds of light years away may be detected with current instrumentation"
‘As we ran the simulations, even we were surprised that moons as small as one-fifth of the Earth's mass could be spotted.
‘It seems probable that many thousands, possibly millions, of habitable exomoons exist in the Galaxy and now we can start to look for them."
