Crossing the Threshold

Hello friends!
In my last blog I presented my theory regarding the significance of the number 14. My recent discoveries, however, lead me to believe that the number 14 signifies, not so much a "resurrection", per se, but the beginning of a new cycle or a "crossing over", if you will. Abraham is said to have "crossed over" the Euphrates into the Promised Land (a metaphor for the heavenly realms) on 1/14 of the Jewish calendar, the same day as Passover (i.e. "pass over" or cross over), and the same day Jesus died and "crossed over" into the netherworld (whatever your concept of such may be). Well, I have a couple of new theories relating to the number 14 in this context. Take them for what you will.
I happened to be listening to a Christian radio show and the host mentioned something about a fellow who believed he had found a way to calculate Christ's return based on the length of the "generations" spoken of in Matthew 1:17, namely, "So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations." (Oh, by the way, 1/17 of the Jewish calendar happens to be both the day Jesus is said to have been resurrected and the day Noah's ark is said to have landed). I can't remember how his formula worked exactly, but he put the year of Christ's return at (your favorite and mine) 2012 A.D.
I was intrigued. I had been kicking around the idea of Christ's return in 2018 based on 70 years from Israel's modern-day inception in 1947 (For the significance of 70 years, see http://www.creation-answers.com/seventy.htm), and I wondered if there might be anything in Biblical chronology to back this up that would tie in to the aforementioned 42 (that is, 3 times 14) generations. Now keep in mind that the following IS based partially on the Watchtower's exposition of scripture, so take it with a grain of salt.
Diving into the Insight on the Scriptures volumes, I was surprised to discover that Abraham, according to the WT's biblical chronology, was born in the year 2018 (B.C.)! Could it be possible that the same amount of time (3 times 14 generations) which transpired between Abraham's birth and Christ's birth would transpire again until His return? Of course, we all (should) know that Jesus of Nazareth was not actually born in 0 A.D. (or rather 1 A.D. since there is no "zero" year between B.C. and A.D.). But that's where things get really interesting. Based on Scripture rather than historical data, the WT puts Jesus' birth at 2 B.C. This would mean that the interval of 42 generations would be a total of 2016 years. Guess what number you get when you divide 2016 by 14?
144.
I don't think I have to point out the significance of that little ditty ;) Interestingly, if you divide 2016 by 42 (or 3 x 14) you get 48 - which is the number of times the word "fourteen" appears in the (Western/Protestant) Bible.
Anyways, as I was saying, if we take the 2016-year interval and apply it starting at 2 B.C., we end up at A.D. 2015. Not quite the number I was looking for, but pretty darn close. But then I got to thinking about something else. What about Adam? Does the time period between the first man of the Bible and Abraham or Christ have any significance? Adam is said to be a "type" of Christ, and Jesus is referred to at 1 Co 15:45 as "the last Adam". Well, according to the WT, Adam was born (or should I say "created") in 4026 B.C., making for a total of 4024 years from Adam until Christ. And if you divide this number in half, what do you get?
2012 years.
I think I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that 14 and 144 also figure into the Mayan Calendar. If I'm not mistaken, the 14th "baktun" or "creation cycle" of 144,000 days begins after December 21, 2012. Anyways, the "halfway marker" between Adam and Christ would therefore come to 2014 B.C. If you apply the interval of 2012 years from Christ at 2 B.C., you end up at 2011 A.D., which is actually the year some scholars have arrived at for the end of the Mayan calendar.
But then there's another thing to think about. At that 2012-year "halfway mark", 2014 B.C., could there have been another Christ-significant event? Well, 2014 is just 4 years after Abraham... Now who was a contemporary of Abraham who might have significance in this context? Think for a moment. I mentioned him in a previous blog... I'll give you a hint: King of Salem (Jerusalem). Bread and Wine (body and blood). Genesis 14.
Why, Melchizedek, of course! As I mentioned before, Melchizedek was a "type" of Christ... and I'm pretty convinced now that Melchizedek was indeed Christ himself in the flesh. According to Heb 7:3, Melchizedek was "without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God". Especially in light of the above chronology, it makes a lot of sense. Could Christ have "materialized" on the scene as this man at the end of this 2012-year period? Will he "materialize" again at the next "halfway mark" in 2011? Remember the following Scripture (and again, note the number):
Zec 14:4 - "And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south."
Regardless of if and when this Scripture will be fulfilled, there's one thing I'm certain of: These next few years will be a VERY intense window. I believe it will be a crucial time for humanity. But will we be crossing a threshold of hope - or one of fear?
Time will tell.

Will,
Thanks for the interesting blog article. Not sure I agree with the basic tenets (e.g. Adam, then Adam born in 4000+ BC, etc), but it's interesting that things work out to that 2012 timeframe. Too many darn coicidences with that year, eh what?
I appreciate your participation and the thought you put into your articles. Thanks!
I would like it very much to be a crossing a threshold of hope not fear. I've said before I think we'll all be here discussing this in 2013 but there's no denying the times are changing again.
Agreed, Starship!
BTW, I also added a few WX-related links, as requested. If you think of others, do let me know!
Thanks for the blog Will! Very thought provoking.
And thanks to SK for the updated links. :)
Thanks for your Blog, Will. Much good food for thought.
From the basics of the science realm we know 'this is' an event window right now in these series of years, a threshold will be experienced as the whole solar system 'crosses over' the galactic equator. Ultimately, how is this 'threshold' experienced? So many elements of cause, we can hardly frame them into the human basic perception to describe an effect.
Why all of a sudden a Saint subjectively appearing in my experience? St Brighid.....the Patron Saint of the Threshold of Life(most of often invoked by mid-wives at births). btw, Saints are generally not within my scope at all.
The Mayans were truly brilliant. As Wayne Herschel has shown in the HiddenRecords so were a good number of other pyramid cultures too. A level of knowledge existed on a global shared scale that far exceeded the general view of this current one here now. The numbers and the counts all point to this general range of years we are all present for.
The Gregorian Calendar has been shown now to be a tweak of the Julian Calendar to align with the Mayan system. You numbers Will, are auspicious and thought provoking to say the least.
Remember Peter Gabriel-Across the River? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Thx7AAOpirc
or how about Dire Straits? Ride Across the River? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hHfCMh-G-s&feature=related
If one has ever seen the Secret World Tour Gabriel did, the experience of Across the River was most profound both musically and visually.
btw Will, my childhood address was 14 and my current four number address adds up to 14. ;)
Phoenix Lander Images
Already Censored By NASA?
black and white images in 2008?
http://www.universetoday.com/2008/05/28/comm-glitch-resolved-new-raw-images-from-phoenix/
The UHF radio on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter that had gone into standby mode yesterday was successfully restarted. The orbiter was then able to receive information from the Phoenix Mars Lander late Tuesday evening and relay the transmission to Earth, which included images and other data collected by Phoenix during the mission's second day after landing on Mars. The radio system used by the orbiter to communicate with the lander experienced an undetermined "transient event" early Tuesday and shut itself off.
Surely this is the sequal to "Dumb and Dumber"?
Thanks Ion..To tell you the truth, I haven't been able to watch the mainstream coverage of the latest "Mission to Mars". I have the sound off on the TV and have been listening to or watching internet alternatives. Of course, I'm interested in what will be discovered on Mars but I'm not expecting to hear it from NASA.
I agree eric. I have spoken before about the public NASA really just being 'the farm league' for the upper levels, like Sword has described. Great post university environment to plum for the brighter engineers by giving them these challenging yet basic 'projects'.
Now this example of Pheonix is perfect. They are using a recycled lander product that was already made and collecting dust on the shelf and this mission itself is the first one being managed by a University. GO figure?!
As the hot link article showcased, one has to wonder just how truly stupid or ambivalent we all are in 2008 to accept first images in black and white. As noted Viking was all about colour from the get go.....30+ years ago. sigh
Lots of unexplained 'shut offs' in the past few years. Remember Cassinni too.
'Nothing to see move along!! here have one cheesy almost monochrome low res picture. We'll release another one or two in six month's or something like that. (clearing throat) err ummm Stay Tuned"
What I find even MORE intersting than all that is that that first b/w photo showed a very strange anomoulous white object and all of a sundden we are having "glitches" and "contact problems". Worked just dandy the second it captured the object....

I agree wholeheartedly about this upcoming period being a critical time for humanity. As for the hope or fear? It all depends on who you listen to/believe. There is a lot of noise out there and most of it is designed to intentionally mislead or obfuscate.
The only voice I trust is The Small Still Voice within.
Thanks so much for your feedback, friends. It really makes the effort worthwhile.
Just had to get the 14th post... :D
BTW, regarding the picture, I did not have it mind when I wrote the article. I just google-imaged "threshold" and it caught my eye. Very Dali-esque, wouldn't you say?

It looks as though it will possibly stay as a low over the Yucatan. There is some specualtion that it could go back into the Pacific and reorganize again...

Well, we are transitioning into The Age of Aquarius from The Age of Pisces. It's no coincidence the supposed sign of Christ was the fish.
The geologist in the Fulford video talks about certain resonances in the earth's crust that can detect oil or gas using a mere 30 megawatts of power to peer into the earth's core. That's not all this technology can do. In my experience (personal), this same tech leads down another road less taken. It rips through the time/space continuum and Montauk to Nostradamus have experienced time travel by resonating with time/space as no two vibrations are exactly alike. Now is already gone.
Once it goes down into the 11,000 range I may begin to buy, but for now

"NAIROBI, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Kenyan Roads Minister Kipkalya Kones and Home Affairs Assistant Minister Lorna Laboso were killed in a plane crash on Tuesday in west Kenya.
"The two were among four people killed in the crash involving a Cessna 210 light aircraft in Kanjogoo area in Narok District. ...
..." Kones was appointed to the cabinet as part of a power-sharing deal after disputed elections last December. ...
..." Kones and Laboso were travelling in the light aircraft to the roads minister's Bomet constituency in Kericho when the plane went down.
Kones was an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Member of Parliament while Laboso -- a first-time legislator -- represented Sotik on an ODM ticket. [emphasis added.]
The deaths of the two ministers came just one day before by-elections which will be conducted in five constituencies: Embakasi, Kilgoris, Ainamoi, Wajir North and Emuhaya."

It's an interesting story Gort. I would be interested in knowing how many plane crashes killed politicians in Africa and how many were opposed to zionist interests since 1960 when Dag's plane went down in a ball of fire right after he awarded rights to Egypt in the Suez Canal.
Sunking asked me to post this for him:

World's Fastest Computer!
H. JOSEF HEBERT, Associated Press Writer Mon Jun 9, 4:12 PM ET
WASHINGTON - Scientists unveiled the world's fastest supercomputer on Monday, a $100 million machine that for the first time has performed 1,000 trillion calculations per second in a sustained exercise.
The technology breakthrough was accomplished by engineers from the Los Alamos National Laboratory and IBM Corp. on a computer to be used primarily on nuclear weapons work, including simulating nuclear explosions.
The computer, named Roadrunner, is twice as fast as IBM's Blue Gene system at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, which itself is three times faster than any of the world's other supercomputers, according to IBM.
"The computer is a speed demon. It will allow us to solve tremendous problems," said Thomas D'Agostino, head of the National Nuclear Security Administration, which oversees nuclear weapons research and maintains the warhead stockpile.
But officials said the computer also could have a wide range of other applications in civilian engineering, medicine and science, from developing biofuels and designing more fuel-efficient cars to finding drug therapies and providing services to the financial industry.
To put the computer's speed in perspective, it has roughly the computing power of 100,000 of today's most powerful laptops stacked 1.5 miles high, according to IBM. Or, if each of the world's 6 billion people worked on hand-held computers for 24 hours a day, it would take them 46 years to do what the Roadrunner computer can do in a single day.
The IBM and Los Alamos engineers worked six years on the computer technology.
Some elements of the Roadrunner can be traced back to popular video games, said David Turek, vice president of IBM's supercomputing programs. In some ways, he said, it's "a very souped-up Sony PlayStation 3."
"We took the basic chip design (of a PlayStation) and advanced its capability," said Turek.
But the Roadrunner supercomputer, named after the New Mexico state bird, is nothing like a video game.
The interconnecting system occupies 6,000 square feet with 57 miles of fiber optics and weighs 500,000 pounds. Although made from commercial parts, the computer consists of 6,948 dual-core computer chips and 12,960 cell engines, and it has 80 terabytes of memory housed in 288 connected refrigerator-sized racks.
The cost: $100 million.
Turek said the computer in a two-hour test on May 25 achieved a "petaflop" speed of sustained performance, something no other computer had ever done. It did so again in several real applications involving classified nuclear weapons work this past weekend.
"This is a huge and remarkable achievement," said Turek in a conference call with reporters.
A "flop" is an acronym meaning floating-point-operations per second. One petaflop is 1,000 trillion operations per second. Only two years ago, there were no actual applications where a computer achieved 100 teraflops — a tenth of Roadrunner's speed — said Turek, noting that the tenfold advancement came over a relatively short time.
The Roadrunner computer, now housed at the IBM research laboratory in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., will be moved next month to the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico.
Along with other supercomputers, it will be key "to assure the safety and security of our (weapons) stockpile," said D'Agostino. With its extraordinary speed it will be able to simulate the performances of a warhead and help weapons scientists track warhead aging, he said.
But the computer — and more so the technology that it represents — marks a future for a wide range of other research and uses. "The technology will be pronounced in its employment across industry in the years to come," predicted Turek, the IBM executive. Michael Anastasio, director of the Los Alamos lab, said that for the first six months the computer will be used in unclassified work including activities not related to the weapons program. After that, about three-fourths of the work will involve weapons and other classified government activities. Anastasio said the computer, in its unclassified applications, is expected to be used not only by Los Alamos scientists but others as well. He said there can be broad applications such as helping to develop a vaccine for the HIV virus, examine the chemistry in the production of cellulosic ethanol, or to understand the origins of the universe. Turek said the computer represents still another breakthrough, particularly
important in these days of expensive energy: It is an energy miser compared with other supercomputers, performing 376 million calculations for every watt of electricity used. ___ On the Net: Los Alamos National Laboratory: http://www.lanl.gov IBM Corp.: http://www.ibm.com/Search/?qRoadrunner&v16&langen&cczz&enutf&SearchSearch

Hey Sunking..raises the question I'm sure the Los Alamos boys are hard to the grindstone trying to figure out. Here's some speculation that would require the preponderance of issues a big blue machine needs to matriculate.
1. only one nuke will work at a time.
2. there is a "window" of opportunity to actually use a nuke and it is astronomical in it's application..ie..the moon in it's place; the sun and all of the planets...
3. time/space issues ie...getting the nuke to the right place at the right time
4. false flag aps..or getting the nuke to blow up when it's already in the right place at the right time but not getting caught...
5. How dumbed down are we..ie..should the internet be shut down for a week, a month or a year before the "netizens" loose their edge.
6..blowback...ie...weather, aliens, God...

Hey Gort..that rings some bells. The Cretaceous period of N. Am had a large inland sea from the Arctic to the Gulf called the Bearpaw Sea. Near the end of that geological period with the inland sea, there was a huge catastrophe in the Arctic and a sudden influx of Arctic water deposited a six inch thick layer of sea shells called "artica ovata" which is in a bentonite or volcanic ash layer. All the critters in the sea perished and all of the land based predators including hadrasaurs and the island nesting sea going pleisosaurs followed them into extinction shortly thereafter.

It finally dawned on me. These two "personalities" are awfully similar. They are both horrible spellers, consistently so with certain words, and both have an unhealthy fixation on Richard C. Hoagland.
Coincidence?
If you read the Sword Blog, Fool, it bears no similarity in writing style to Mars Revealer's material I have ever seen.
The recent use of the of the images of the Second World War Tank model is a link back to quite some time ago when he coyly disclosed a link to a toy and game maker about the BGR's and their apparent first appearance on the battle field in WWII. Form there he had alluded to much greater developed BGR's since that first start back then.(big giant robots)
A simple example like that shows decent continuity of story in his loop back to at least a year ago+.
To me, whether he might be poser of any other name as we have seen numerous times here with some of the goofs playing multiple characters ultimately of no meaningful consequence, I see the truth spilling out all around us anyway at least in the domain of Sword's area of subject. So, honest representation or not, he may well be eclipsed anyway by a bigger wave of disclosure that I see building and revealing via various media.
Even Hoagland is but one little individual doing his thing....in a very big world.
I just read the signs and connect the material I see arising. Arising sometimes innocuously amongst the ordinary media of the day yet adding up to a full story.
Here is a new one.
On the Canadian Government Weather site they now have a banner link that offers the 'Weather Report from Mars'.

The curios part is why did Rik Clay (or the powers that be) take down the blog. I have commented there a few times but was scrubbed from the one that Ion linked and the last one 11;11 is not there at all. The website redicecreations has a couple of radio interview with Rik which were interesting and may have something to do with the blog being pulled. It was suggested to Rik on that program that he think about "commercializing" his thoughts which, when you consider his rather unique insight, may be what has taken place.
In the last blog post which seems to have disappeared permanently, Rik suggests that William is the XXX figure of 2012 or the fulfillment of Trinity as his 30th birthday is on June 21, 2012.
In one of Marshall McLuhan's books, the suggestion then, was that "Charles" was the "beast".
It's all in the bloodlines. Clay thinks that the Stuart (Diana) bloodline was the way back to Jesus Christ.

If my postings have "steered" (boy what a pun for these walls) your latest blog - excellant!
Now, I know - there's some sembelance of truth out there. What am I talking about? Well, there seems to be in this Swords life a odd situation - everyone's running maddenly away from the truth. Even some of the "officers".
One officer I am thinking of showed up to one of my breifings without a "reservation" - in turn getting himself in one serious mess. Only, to find out after making several phone calls the poor "scientific officer" was set up by his colleges and chums...
Now, after being "asleep" for seven years - the HMFIC - the CAPTAIN - is looking to get his breifing. It has already been established before hand that several officers MUST give the breifing to the captian in order to AWAKEN him.
As it seems, this has not yet come to pass... All I want is a little bit, a shread, of truth from one of ?MY? officers.
With all that being said I ask the following:
Listening here today, are there any officers who have gone to a breifing only to have a gun pulled on them?

"Sword, you gave me much more for thought... the point and image of a space man finding another explorer dead aeons before him stepping boot on the planet, sent those familiar wow's up da noivas system, exciting what!~!! :)"
Then Sword says:
It is not often that we agree, Jasgrave333. When I was a young man I was already reading physics, and was engorgeing myself on whatever books and periodicals my family could afford. When this book came to me - it was told to me that it was written with a "fraternities" approval. To me this meant that much truth could be found from a BOOK... ...
Intrestingly enough - if I can remember the original cover well enough - The men excavating the "suited mummy" where dressed in BLUE - while the "mummy" was dressed in red. I have (without further counsel) convayed this with the "two" sides of goverment that we have. The reds being the Republicans and the blues being democratic. Even as a small child I thought this (I was/am a very very bright young man). Now as eire as that is - i believe in it. That the truth will come out, that the "democratic truth" will come out, and we will be reveling to ourselves this truth - that buried in the very foundations of our society - is another society - a fraternity of wardens - that has been there watching us, and guideing us - for AEONS... ...
Now, as secrective as that sounds - I was above all that. I started preparing for the future I knew was coming. I wanted to not just KNOW the truth - I wanted to TOUCH it!
Why? Beacuse to me this is the true meaning of truth. We can talk about it all day here, that is the stuff on mars - the moon, the asteriod belt, the "Moon with a view"... ...
But to touch it with your own hand - to feel it in your grasp and know - and know - without a shadow of a doubt - that your FAITH is true... ...
Perhaps Jasgrave333, just perhaps... you to could know the "secrects" (there really aren't any) of my fraternity - if only you could not be so rash, and harsh with your judgement tword us.
I know Rich already knows these "secrects", he has had my breifings and he has had to face my men (and me) in our ritual of brotherhood... ... (And if he denies it - not only is he a false witness - but he will be refuting my brothers as well...)
Now, if only openly he would talk about it. While he says its "need to know" - I say this... ... I already know - now I need tangiable truth. Admitance - so that Sword can move forward... ...
Like I said before Rich: When do you start your argonaut training AND - - are YOUR men ready?

I have nothing but respect for Mr. Hoagland, and I read everything he writes with an open mind and with fascination. But maybe the planet goes through turbulent changes all the time... every 10,000 to 20,000 years or so. In the short term, maybe it's just easier to assume "somebody" is in control of it all. Maybe it parallels our desire to want to believe in God simply because it all seems too magnificient to be based on chance or yet, just beyond our comprehension. Planets can't explode... right? Humans are heating the planet up... right? God loves us and wouldn't see us all doomed! So it's something we're doing to ourselves! Right? We just find the guy behind the curtain and expose him for the little man he is and we can all go back to the farm and live happy lives.<

I explain this delicate balance between "natural increases" in hurricane frequencies and strength n recent years, and "artificial enhancement and steering" of these storms, in EXCRUICATING detail -- here:
http://www.enterprisemission.com/hurricane1.htm
It's NOT an "either/or." It's a BOTH.
the key is in the greater available energy to create and then steer these violent storms ....
And, yes, the background Physics which is providing this increased energy now IS "cyclic" -- with a period of about 13,000 years ....
Superimposed on THAT "natural" cycle is our curent, technological capabilities to "manipulate" such storms ....

Mars lander loses day of work after data glitch
By ALICIA CHANG, AP Science Writer Thu Jun 19, 12:21 AM ET
LOS ANGELES - The Phoenix lander stopped digging soil near Mars' north pole Wednesday as engineers on Earth worked to fix a glitch that caused the loss of a day's worth of photos.
The problem was discovered late Tuesday after the spacecraft dug a trench inside a polygon-shaped surface feature that was likely caused by seasonal expansion and shrinking of ice.
The lander beamed back pictures of the trench, but an overload of data prevented it from saving images of the landscape and atmosphere in its flash memory.
Scientists said the lost data wasn't crucial.
"It's unfortunate to lose any bit of science," said mission scientist Ray Arvidson of Washington University in St. Louis. "But it's not really critical stuff that you kick yourself over."
Engineers noticed Phoenix's strange behavior when it sent a piece of engineering data 45,000 times like a broken record. Normally, the lander would store the day's work in its flash memory, but the repeated data caused it to power down for the night without saving everything.
"We're rather annoyed," said project manager Barry Goldstein of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which manages the $420 million mission.
But he said it wasn't debilitating. Engineers overcame the bug, but its cause remained unknown. Wednesday's digging was delayed to not stress Phoenix's memory.
It's the third delay since Phoenix landed in the Martian arctic on May 25 for a three-month mission. The previous work stoppages were caused by relay problems with the two orbiting Mars probes through which Phoenix communicates with Earth.
Before the glitch, Phoenix dug a footlong trench less than an inch deep, but didn't find any of the white material present in deeper trenches. Scientists think Phoenix will reach the white material — possibly ice or salt — as it digs deeper Thursday.
Instead of having the lander store the data overnight, scientists planned to command it to send the information to Earth immediately through the two orbiters.

I wonder what they dug up that they don't want us to see?

Funny that they lost all their pictures from sol 23.

It was actually the 24th sol, but they numbered the sol they landed as sol 0.

From the Phoenix Mission Blog:
Crossing the Interplanetary Dateline
by Patrick Woida
June 12, 2008 -
Well those of us on Phoenix are crossing into the twilight zone :-)
We've reached a point where are shifts are 12 hours later than we started,
and the gap between Earth and Mars has grown. Where only 18 sols
have passed on Mars, 19 days have passed on Earth.
Looking at the calender I realize our schedules have become a bit skewed.
Add to that we're at the point where our shifts start between 3 - 4am.
It is the point where it's hard to decide what's best.
Should we go to bed early to get up early for work, or sleep in and go to sleep after work.
So we adapt our lives as we adapt to the surprises on Mars. The first of
which, how to get TEGA a full oven of "Martian Mud," has been realized.
The human, as well as technical challenges, are over come day by day and sol by sol
as the team really lives between 2 worlds.
- end quote -
That's all fine and good if you're working on the Spirit or Opportunity Rovers, near the equator, or at least in a "temporate" zone, but this Phoenix Lander is above the arctic circle in the summer, when the sun is shining all the time, so it shouldn't really matter what time you start your shift. It's the "land of the midnight sun."
If you can see what you're doing, keep digging!
More mud pies in that EZ Bake oven!

This is the first time since 1896 - 112 years - that the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere has occurred before June 21, according to the William M. Staerkel Planetarium at Parkland College in Champaign, Ill.
According to the science-advocacy website www.earthsky.org, the time of the summer solstice is officially 11:59 p.m. June 20 Coordinated Universal Time as measured at the prime meridian at Greenwich, England.
Standard time within most of the world's 24 time zones is an integral number of hours offset from Coordinated Universal Time, which is maintained by a large number of precise atomic clocks at laboratories around the world, including the U.S. Naval Observatory.
The Central Time Zone in the United States is 5 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time, meaning the solstice will occur at 6:59 p.m.

GORT!
A plate of my mommas finest cookies to you my friend...
...why isn't this news mainstream?
Sword
I'm struck by the pristine nature of the ice on Mars and how little dirt managed to cover it up. I've always "known" that water is prevalent everywhere in the universe including the sun which in my opinion is electric and not molten but what does this "discovery" on Mars mean to us? I'm not happy to follow mass media's line that man can now go to Mars and set up shop there. This implies that Planet Earth is no longer inhabitable and in order to survive, the rich tourist may now opt out...way out. not the kind of option that would be good for the rest of us...
If you followed the link to my blog, you know from the graphic and the article there that Iowa was a target for weather wars..Here's another take on the 'why" Iowa...
June 15, 2008 posting #2 ... i have received more confirming communications that 1) the US food supply and delivery system is collapsing including trucking (the main source of our food supply) and 2) there will be a food shortage this summer or early fall at the latest (from my personal perspective i think it will hit in the heat of the summer for maximum riot effect ... remember Watts ??? ) ... the dog and pony show of the FDA at congress the other day was just that ... a scripted pile of BS from the DC bureaucrats to prep the public for what is to come ... you know as i watched the morons read their prepared scripts and mumble in front of congress ... i realized what a complete bunch of buffoons we have in these agencies ... i do not even know anyone like this ... certainly men who got degrees from some lauded university and left their minds on the coat rack in some meeting hall long ago and long forgotten ... get ready ... if you have been listening to my shows then you know the drill ... if you have not been listening to my shows and getting prepared then you are in for the shock of your life ... welcome to the good ole US of A as designed by the european bankers ... you know they have done this before !!! lots of times and in lots of countries ... this is old hat to them ... jim mccanney
June 15, 2008 posting #3 ... am going off line ... am under localized severe weather attack at this time ... about 21:21 CDT ... can see the storm coming in on radar moving about 60 miles per hour and the windows here are starting to rattle and shake ... over and out ... am heading for shelter ... jim mccanney
Jim missed his weekly radio program and his usual daily updates are 4 days late..WTF>>>?;
Typhoon Fengshen made an abrubt move westward yesterday and is now in the Philippines. It could end up hitting mainland China, Taiwan, and/or Japan despite computer model.
Eric, McCanney may have lost power... there were lot of floods and severe storms in upper midwest and electricity down in places.
University of Iowa in Iowa City was closed and under water.
I forget where he is located...

I also wanted to add that I have just finished a really good book called 1491. It's about the Native Americans before Columbus. There is much new eveidience to suggest that they were far more numerous than history and "whitey guily" have allowed us to belive.
He also goes into detail about the Myan calendar. They had 3. the Long term one has time extending for over 2 million more years...
just a tad past 2012--so I'm now not buying into the Mayan's having us all bumped off i the next 4 years. Maybe something else will do it---I dunno, maybe that coming famine--but people can stop getting all upset that because the Mayan calendar ends then. It's a lie. It doesn't.

If it's the one I think it is, it is a picture of the landscape around the Phoenix Lander, part of one of the solar panels, and the scooper up off the ground with some mars dirt in it. And the outside corner of the scooper appears to have mud caked on it in a triange, as if the scooper has been diging in wet soil.
Unless you're talking about one of the rover pictures where you can see a winding trail made by the rover and part of the trail looks like it tracked through some mud.

THE DEIFICATION OF TONE NUMBERS
The deified Sumerian numbers, taken over by Babylon, are 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50, all fractional parts of "father" Anu/An = 60, head of the pantheon. Their fractional values and god names are indicated here with a brief description of their mythological functions.
Anu/An, 60, written as a large 1, "father of the gods" and earliest head of the pantheon, is any reference unit. He is equivalent in our notation to 60/60 = 1, where he functions, according to modern concepts, as "geometric mean in the field of rational numbers."
Enlil, 50 (5/6), "god on the mountain" possessing fifty names, is mankind's special guardian and was promoted to head the pantheon circa 2500 B.C. Enlil deities in base 60 what the Greeks knew as the human prime number, 5, in their base-1O harmonics. By generating major thirds of 4:5 and minor thirds of 5:6, he saved Sumerians tremendous arithmetical labor, as we shall note in due course.
Ea/Enki, 40 (2/3), "god of the sweet waters" and perhaps the busiest deity in Sumer, "organizes the earth," including the musical scale. He deities the divine prime number, 3, in the ratio of the musical fifth 2:3, the most powerful shaping force in music after the octave. (Notice that the trio of highest gods (40, 50, 60) defines the basic musical triad of 4:5:6 (do, mi, sol, rising, and mi, do, la, falling). The ratio 4:5 defines a major third and the ratio 5:6 defines a minor third, taken either upward or downward within the matrix of the musical octave.)
Sin, 30 (1/2), the Moon, establishes the basic Sumerian octave matrix as 1:2 30:60.
Shamash, 20 (1/3), the Sun, judges the gods.
Ishtar, 15 (1/4), is the epitome of the feminine as virgin, wife, and everybody's mistress.
Nergal, 12 (1/5), is god of the underworld.
Bel/Marduk, 10 (1/6), the biblical Baal, originally was a minor deity but eventually became head of the Babylonian pantheon in the second millennium B.C. He inherited all the powers of the other gods, including Enlil's fifty names, in a giant step toward a "Pythagorized" monotheism built on the first ten numbers

If you follow the links to the further article, you get this paragraph and photo caption:
"But how? Lunar regolith is not like terrestrial soil. Here on Earth, the sand beneath our feet is shaped by a combination of biological and meteorological forces. Terrestrial soil is moist, rounded by weather, and utterly familiar. Lunar regolith, on the other hand, is a dry, glassy substance pounded into dusty smithereens by eons of meteoritic bombardment. It's not going to respond to a shovel--or a scoop--like terra firma.

I remember watching the astronauts on moon until their TV camera mysteriously quit working, so I went to my room and listened to "the Pete and Alan Radio Theatre of the Mind" as they walked around and found the Surveyor 3.

Fengshen just off the coast about 40 nm east of Hong Kong, Max winds 55 mph, gusts 75 mph. 17 ft. waves.
I didn't see any "egg beaters," but this thing wasn't supposed to go due west through the Philippines, and it wasn't supposed to hit the mainland coast.
maybe some re-tally-ation for the floods in Iowa and Missouri?
I have seen that "disclaimer" before.

Tropical storm Fengshen lands in southeast China
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2008-06/25/content_8433512.htm
GUANGZHOU, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Tropical storm Fengshen hit the southeast coast of China early on Wednesday, bringing about heavy rains and strong winds.
The storm made the landfall in the coastal area of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, at 5:30 a.m. with winds of up to 83 kilometers per hour, according to the provincial meteorological station.
Heavy rains and gales had already hit central and southern parts of the province, it said.
The station said the storm would continue to move north and lose strength.
More than 13,000 ships in Guangdong returned to harbor ahead of the storm's arrival.
Within an hour of landfall, monitoring stations in Shenzhen had reported rainfall of up to 38 millimeters.
The Shenzhen meteorological station forecast downpours of up to 200 mm would hit the city Wednesday and Thursday.

The China Central Meteorological Station forecast early Wednesday heavy rains would sweep Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi, Jiangxi and Hunan due to the effects of the storm.
From June 6 to 16, nine provinces in the country's east, south and southwest had experienced torrential rain, leaving 63 people dead, 13 missing and 1.6 million people displaced, according to the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

The storm was downgraded from a typhoon level. Hundreds were dead or missing in the Philippines after Typhoon Fengshen ripped through the archipelago on Friday afternoon.

Gort ..The eggbeater phenome may have been replaced with sats pointing straight down. The Chinese seem to be on to this little weather wars scenario. They prolly were a bit uncomfortable with the Tangshan earthquake of 1976 that Ion talked about but by now, I'm sure they monitor all developments including the internet. My blogs get visits from every corner of the planet except Antarctica.

Marijuana Group Calls For Pot Lounges In Airports
DENVER -- Members of a Denver-based, pro-marijuana group announced their recommendation to solve the growing problem of alcohol abuse on planes: provide marijuana smoking lounges in airports nationwide.

It could very well catch on... after all, all jokes about reaching the skies before the plane does aside. It would certainly have a following...
...I mean given the following example, you'd have thought they would have done this ages ago:

He points to the woman arrested at Denver International Airport last week.
"
Wait for it...
"
Court records show she started smoking a cigarette on the plane, yelled obscenities and punched a flight attendant, then blamed the flight crew for serving her vodka.
"
Now dat was just plain uncivilised. After all, if they'd served her rum it might have been a different story...
...but what if there'd been a smoking lounge of the most righteous type?
"
He points to a study showing a strong link between alcohol and increased violence, while cannabis reduces the likelihood of violence.
