UFO's around the Sun...Really?!
336 comments - Click for Blog It seems everyone out in the Internet wilderness is jumping on this new thing of orbs, or UFO’s orbiting our Sun. Some even say they can see the supposed “UFO’s” manipulating the Sun’s corona. One of the things that really surprise me are the names of some of the people that are repeating this information. Jeff Rense, the Rense flare article and Richard Hoagland, RCH’s Norway spiral article pt3 – at the bottom just to name two.There have been many images posted on websites, forums and blogs over the last several weeks that show mostly the “green” images and occasionally, there is one video from the Japanese Aerospace program (theirs is X-Ray combined with Optical) that shows two “blobs” on the top/left side. I don’t know if this video is rectified and if not then the “blobs” are actually on the bottom/right as “north” is usually down, in telescopic images. Anyway, when you play this video you’ll notice that the “blobs” don’t move. Here's the Jaxa video.
They are on every frame of the video and in the same place, not even moving slightly, yet you can watch the Sun rotate. Does this mean anything? Not necessarily because orbiting objects can hold position and don’t have to move but, this can also be something (much smaller) on the lens of the telescope itself. So nothing really except for dust! Which is it? As with the “green” SSC images and no one is asking this question but going straight to the conclusion that they “must be UFO’s”. If you ask me, all that is, is jumping to conclusions. This is something that will definitely NOT help any kind of disclosure.
Here’s another thing that really stands out from the chatter. Again, its not too scientific and really shows how eager people are to jump on the same line of thinking, without even looking at the whole picture(pun intended!). Here’s the question nobody is asking “why are these images green?” I’ve only seen a couple of comments about this on other forums and it seems that these people are assuming that there is just a green filter, much like a green gel used with stage lights, on the telescope.This isn’t true at all. While it is a green filter, its specific to a wavelength. 195 Angstrom to be specific, thats 19.5 nanometers and its measuring the ionization of Iron at a specific frequency and temp (approx 1.4m°K).
Here’s a quote from the specs for those filters and clearly they aren’t just green filters or stage gels:"The EUVI uses thin metal film filters at both the entrance aperture and near the focal place to suppress undesired UV, visible, and IR radiation. We ust two types of filters at the entrance of the telescope (Figure 4): and aluminum-on-polyimide foil on a course nickel grid for the short wavelength quadrants (17.1 and 195 nm), and a single layer aluminum foil on a fine nickel mesh for the long wavelength quadrants (28.4 and 30.4 nm). Both types of filters use a 150 nm thick layer of aluminum to reject light...”

Now just think about that for a minute. Is this a full spectrum image? No, its not, its limited to just a very narrow field, a slice, in the viewable spectrum. The higher wavelength of the Japanese video is, I believe, 384 Å [haven’t been able to verify actual wavelength] and again a specific slice of the viewable spectrum and this one happens to show an orange image. The EUVI telescope employs two filters, one is on the aperture (outside opening of the telescope) and the other is at the focal plane. Since there is no eyepiece on this telescope it sits just before the CCD camera. The primary lens is also coated. Between these three items, they are blocking out everything except for two specific lines of bandwidth in the viewable spectrum.
Now, considering just this little bit of research on the origins of these images and the instruments that are employed to capture them, several different questions arise...at least for me. Looking at these images one can clearly see objects around the Sun. One can also see pixelation as well as a grid pattern throughout (this is due to the mesh layer over the outside filter). Some of these objects look like they could be massive objects orbiting the Sun but again where’s the research to show if they are in fact close to the Sun or close to the telescope.
This one little fact could change the whole “collective opinion” of “UFO’s” orbiting the Sun. If these objects are close to the telescope then they are pretty small and could not be “UFO’s”. If they are close to the Sun then they are in fact massive, being even larger than Jupiter in some cases. Since I haven’t been able to locate (as of this posting) anything to help triangulate and thus find “distance” between any objects, the Sun and telescope. This will remain a major, unanswered question...I’ll leave it to you to consider the implications.
With all of this in mind and considering the specific 195Å wavelength, one has to view these objects in a different way. Here’s what I mean, if an object is in fact there, whether it be by the Sun or telescope, then we are only seeing a certain part of that object because of reflected light in the, as pointed out above, small slice of the viewable spectrum. Since we’re only seeing a “slice” then there is much more of the viewable spectrum that isn’t there and has to be assumed. Now according to the specs, there are four algorithms used for dynamic compression as well as on board software so there may be a little more data to be uncovered within these images but again we’re talking about a small slice of the viewable spectrum. Other than that, there isn’t any way (with software) to build full spectrum images using these images, the data simply isn’t there because its being blocked by the filter. Where does that leave us as far as UFO’s? Well, until further analysis can be done, or alternative full spectrum images can be captured, inconclusive at best.
Having said that, take a look at these curious images just for thought...
Now here are some images (below) that show obvious particles (or dust) hitting the telescope, these are probably larger particles being thrown out by the Sun in a cosmic spray...as usual and we see them within CME’s.
The next two are a couple of real curious images and I’ve found several so far. These seem to have some kind of liquid sprayed on the lens that has been wiped clean, much like the cameras on Indie type racecars. *Notice the way the highlight/shadows are opposite from what one would find on a solid object, ie refraction inside a bubble of liquid! According to the telescope specs, there isn’t such a device on this telescope. These images are almost more intriguing to me than the whole “UFO” conversation. I’m including an article showing that water can freeze with heat and if this is possible then maybe water can stay liquid in sub freezing temps depending on the charge that is on the film of the water droplet. This is something to think about for sure, especially if you’re a follower of the electric universe. Now here’s the last thing that I find very curious and cannot find any satisfactory explanation on the SSC or STEREO websites. For a period of three days previous the current date, all the EUVI images are of a different type and labeled as such. You have to look for it otherwise they’ll be missed as I’ve seen every other post out there hasn’t mentioned and/or noticed this difference. Here are a couple of examples, The first are immediately uploaded and then after three days replaced by the second example. Notice the file names (I’ll explain):

The file name is 20100216_165530_n7euA_195.jpg
20100216 – is the year/month/day.
165530 – is the time of day, in this example 4:55pm, presumably?
n7euA – n7(haven’t found what this designates and IS what is missed), eu – extreme ultraviolet, A – ahead.
195 – is the viewing bandwidth.
Now look at the two full links above. I’ve pulled the images from that date and the versions I have are the “n7euA – n7euB” (A-B for ahead and behind) and what is currently in that archive are “n4euA or B” versions, depending on if you are in the “ahead” or “behind” directories. You will have three days to look at and/or pull the “n7” type images, after that the “n4” type replaces them. There are two noticeable differences with these two sets of images. The n4 types have different timestamps and are higher quality than the n7 version, but why? Here is a “caption” listed with the “n7” version images.
“Image of the Sun, taken by the SECCHI Extreme Ultraviolet Imager (EUVI) on the STEREO Ahead observatory on February 16, 2010 at 13:35:30 UT. The 195 Angstrom bandpass is sensitive to the Fe XII ionization state of iron, at a characteristic temperature of about 1.4 million degrees Kelvin. This image was produced from the STEREO space weather beacon telemetry. Because of the high amount of compression used for the space weather beacon, the image quality is far lower than in the final science product.”
Keep in mind that ALL of the images that show the supposed “UFO’s” are of the n7 type, in fact the rense article above had links to the n7 versions and by the time I looked at that article, the image links were dead. Now they have new ones up or maybe a completely new article? According to NASA’s official reply sited in RCH’s article, these images are, “telemetered down nearly continuously”, so why the completely different sets of images? Again, I haven’t found a single explanation as to the different sets and if I’m to assume these are part of the data captured using two different filters as well as two primary lenses then why remove them from the public data store? This may be a non issue but is there something there we need to pay attention to?!
So there you have it and I think many will agree that while there are many anomalies surrounding these images (no pun intended!). Going straight to UFO’s is putting the “cart before the horse” at this stage because I cannot see any way to prove or disprove (by way of these images) evidence of UFO’s. There needs to be more data to correlate with these images to determine distance and size of some of the objects for starters. Does that mean NASA, or specifically the STEREO Science Center team, is being honest with some of this? Yes, I believe some of the artifacts are indeed dust or particles. What I can’t do is extend that explanation across the board to every object and for the rest of these anomalies...NASA doesn’t have an answer, yet!

Nice research article. You certainly are tackling the topic head on.
I just want to comment on data compression/data manipulation and resolution.
Resolution, or how well the device can capture an image, is an important feature of any imaging device. These satellites are still imaging devices are far as I know, so can they be compared to digital cameras? Probably. Lets look at some performance examples of devices we are all familiar with.
Cell phone cameras; good ones may be 3Mega pixels. Any they take some rather grainy pics unless you are really near the subject. Good for sharing "life moments" on a moments notice. This device is limited by the amount of pixels in its CCD. A little more upscale, say a digital camera with a 10 Mega pixel resolution and costs under $500. Takes pictures in jpeg format that measure 3648 x 2736 pixels. They are about 5M in size upon download from the device. And finally, a DSLR. An excellent model will set you back $2000.00 or more. These devices can have a resolution of 12Mega pixels or more. I have heard some may offer up to 34Mega pixelson the CCD.
These devices produce images varying in quality/resolution of mediocre to really outstanding. You can't view a 34MP raw image in it's entirety without being zoomed out to quite a low percentage of image scale on most monitors. The data size of a full reolution 34 MP pic is not something that is easily transferable across any network, let alone a 'wireless' connection from space. And one other point, using these cameras mentioned above in a terrestrial setting, which they were designed for, so your longest depth of field may only be the horizon (maybe 75-100 miles), can take your 34MP DSLR to it's max performance with regards to resolution.
If we consider the STEREO satellites are located at Lagrange points (correct me if I am wrong here) does that not mean they are 90,000,000 miles plus or minus from their target? How much resolution in the image is possible? What are the specs on the CCD in the satellites? Regardless if it is 'seeing' only 195 Angstroms, the resolution of the CCD device is still the resolution of the CCD. And to deliver that data back it would have to be compresses in some format. Most likely an algorithm that is uncompressable back to full raster. Which would then give you approximately, if not mostly, what the camera captured.

With all the possible objects flosting around in space, some of which we know and some we do not know of, they are bound to show up in some way on these images. When image comression is applied so these images can be viewed in the publice domain, the objects that we may or may not know about can manifest themselves in these compressed public images into something that makes us go "Hey, there's something there!", for lack of a better way to put it. A case in point, if you've viewed any of the data RCH or Joe Skipper have provided, the effects of jpeg compression is something they fight against when making their respective points. And, the deliberate obfuscation of sections or all of an image further complicates our being able to really see what is going on there. Some researchers have shown image manipulation reaching all the way back to the Apollo images.
As I gain more and more experience with products such as PhotoShop, which manipulates images in many different ways, I gain more insight into just what I can do to an image. I manipulate images in a creative way but can certainly extrapolate that experience into what I've seen the researchers point out. It makes me wonder just how powerful the algorithims must be that say MSSS or NASA has.
To wrap this, considereing the above points about resolution, distance, compression and perception, in my opinion it is difficult to be conclusive about what we are really seeing. It is easy to say something is there. It is difficult to say that IS something there and this is what it is. I am not saying that these objects can not possibly exist. I know from being part of this little online community that there are things out there. However, I do not believe any of the publically available images, in the formats we can receive them in, are reliable sources of which to form or confirm a theory or opinion based on the points above.
I am by no means an expert on file compression. But I do have enough experience to know that the manipulation of one or many pixels can change what the eye sees and how it interprets that image.
I think zeb, that if more people were aware of just how much these images are processed they would be more apt to question the image. If they really saw a full resolution uncompressed raw image, their mouths would drop open. And that is my $0.02 for a Saturday morning.

Zebowho - Interesting post, I too was wondering why the images were replaced after a few days on the SSC website. The GREEN filter may be showing only a trace of what is hidden there, then the images are replaced with cleaned up ones. My guess is there are several wavelength filters on the telescope and some of them would allow viewing of hidden "CRAFT" orbiting the sun.

Thank you for starting this off with that expose on the CCD (to varying degrees). I wanted to detail the EUVI's CCD imager more but I found little on its specs and my article was quite long already :/
I think you nailed it pretty good with digital images and Yes, for a short time both stereo imagers will be passing through (if not already there) L1 and L2 (keep your eye on those images Ion!) but have too much momentum to stay in those locations.
Here's a couple of things I should have mentioned, and in the case of "finding ufo's around the sun" with those filters in place. Which they only rotate...the CCD is in a closed tube pointing at a "wall" as it were. We can place the most powerful CCD imager with the most efficient algorithm there, to capture images but with that filter in front....its like looking at something with one squinted eye and thats an overstatement. Most of the capturing capability of that CCD is not even used because of the filter. I may be getting stuck on the 195 Angstrom wavelength but from what I've discovered so far, its key (at least for me) that there simply can't be any more data than what is in the n4 version images. Its like trying to see what a person looks like from looking at their shadow.
With what you've added and the little here I forgot to mention...I'd have to agree with you Wayne, most people would question more if they understood pixel manipulation and would definitely be shocked when viewing (or trying to :D )a full res, raw image.

Unless the CCD was only designed to 'see' 195A, it could be optimized for that. I am not sure if that's the case tho. Regardless, one source of info is limiting. Does it show up in different wavelengths? That would be encouraging. Has that been checked?

Still, I do think the data provided for review by sources is suspect. Again referring back to the public researchers and seeing the challenges they face with the data. That's a shame too. It would be really cool to see un-messed with data. Goes back to that quest for truth we all seem to be on.

The 195 Angstrom filter is looking at FeXII ions specifically. The site referenced above is describing a solid surface under the photosphere and suggests that this surface, contrary to the photosphere, rotates consistently at all latitudes whereas the photosphere does not.
This lack of relationship between the two, the site suggests, lays current gas model theory to waste suggesting a new theory is needed.
This was shown by viewing the data in time lapse (movie) and looking at the results. Could what we are seeing as anomalies be residuals from these electrical discharges?

Good blog. Until NASA is more "honest" we are all grasping and guessing with 'leftover' data that the PR Joker Polers Liars club missed in their "Brookings-down" of the data we have to work with.
But with these Sun "ufos" I agree that basing a 'phenomenon' using only ONE (1) set of limited observations is hurting more than helping with 'dislosure'.

I remember studies years ago from Dan Winters material and associates, dialogue about the lore of the Sun and references to 'they who came through the heart of the Sun'.
Too far back to remember specifics but it seemed to be telling about the Sun being essentially, 'the wormhole' through which they traveled'.

Extremely interesting blog. I just got Photoshop Essentials with my new scanner and will exploring what it can do and viewing all photos with new eyes. I used to be involved in ghost hunting and I was also annoyed with video people who were jumping up and down about the orb they caught on camera when I could see the dust dancing in front of their lenses. I'd call out "dust in front of the lens" loud enough for their camera mikes to pick up. The dust was right in front of the lens, but when viewed it looked like it was halfway across the room.
It isn't just the filters on the cameras but also our own eyes.

Zebowho, that is a good blog. It is a bit outside my range of technical knowledge. But from what I can make of it, the bottom line is NASA is A) not doing a very good job of explaining things regarding these images, and B) pulling images and finagling with something.
I suppose if the camera is supposed to only see a specific portion of the spectrum relative to "iron", the mysterious objects must be iron-laden. Or iron-clad. Or "old Iron-sides" ;)
How big or how near or far from the camera or the sun is up for grabs.
If the camera is hanging out in a Lagrange point, there might be other objects or craft hanging out in that same Lagrange point.
Something else that I've been wondering about. Why do we need a space probe to see what is behind the sun? Don't we (the passengers on Spaceship Earth) all go completely around the sun one every year? Just asking....

Wayne, Sword...I've been wondering the same thing re: what exactly is the sun shedding? I mean if there is proven to be an iron ferrite surface then maybe the sun is shooting out little "green hot" magnets all over the place!!
Yep Robert, sure seems to be the same old "where's the data". This research into the STEREO pairs has me wondering if NASA has begun taking all the imaging data fro SOHO, LASCO, STEREO and others to combine a multi-discipline project to build an "overall look at the sun" in multiple wavelengths...now wouldn't that be something!!
I hear ya too Eric...I have to be careful looking at those LASCO-SOHO images, LOL, I could burn days just being mesmerized by the streamers coming off the sun...pretty incredible stuff. If you go here NAVY's Sungrazer site, you might be able to find out what those two bright spots are in that LASCO C3 data. I guess anyone can volunteer and help discover/name objects!

Very true starship...I've never bought the "orb" thing either and I believe in this case, our own eyes can and do deceive us. In Fact, now that the STEREO website seems to have its server problems worked out, here is a link to an explanation of the Odd Sphere like objects. I think I'll have to update the blog with this new info.
Being a photoshop user myself, this one fact that Wayne points out with technique, exp and creativity...can be a very dangerous combo...on both ends of the data spectrum (us outsiders and/or their insiders) as I've already seen with other NASA images.

When I was researching the specs on the telescope itself, both the SSC and STEREO websites were experiencing "server" issues and the link above wasn't anywhere to be found, nor hinted to. I don't know if its been there the entire time since the STEREO program has been running for a couple of years now. I think they go some length to explain some of these issues but I still have to stand my ground and say it can't explain all the anomalies..even after looking at that section myself...some explanations seem "not quite right" for example the EUVI cosmic rays comparison...2 in one photo and up to 26 (that I've counted) in the second. I haven't seen compression combine several points of light, over a large image area, down into one single point. Rather the several points disappear all together.
I've been following that "Anglo-Saxon Mission" as well. I caught the first vid Bill released before Kerry's whole "copyright" issue took it down a couple of times. It connects quite a few dots for me....

zebowho, another exasperating experience I had with ghost hunting was with someone who set up a video camera in a room in which I used the camera person's remote temperature sensor and did a slow sweep of the room. The laser pointer was visible on camera. My mistake was I didn't call that one out as I normally would have so the camera mike would have picked it up. When the camera person reviewed her footage later she thought she had something paranormal when all it was me using her remote temperature gizmo. I totally recognised the movement of the glowing red "orb" and told her it was me using her temperature sensor. She refused to accept it as anything other than paranormal when I knew for a fact it wasn't.
Thanks to a few experiences here and there,I believe in the paranormal but I always want to find the natural explanation first before I consider something to be paranormal. So many people are willing to go into this with nothing but preconceptions. It gets old fast.

It gets old for me too starship even though I haven't been involved in paranormal investigations, but reading & seeing how people just jump to a conclusion without the investigation...does nothing but strip credibility, and that's too bad.
Cool blog Jas...some interesting stuff there, but I'm still not convinced that some of these spots are anything other than dust. One reason is an interview I remember reading a long time ago, from one of the astronauts that walked on the moon (can't remember which one) but there was mention that the dust on the surface stuck to everything (static). Maybe this is an effect on the moon...maybe its an effect everywhere out there, I don't know. But, that shape (or those shapes) you've found are pretty interesting!

If you zoom into some of the darker areas around the sun of some of my older pics there, you'll notice in the movements and stars other larger looking freighters and tings. Could be just my interpretation, but seems a lot for real, is hanging out round the sun...

Here's some info on the Lasco images from SOHO:
C2 images show the inner solar corona up to 8.4 million kilometers (5.25 million miles) away from the Sun.
C3 images have a larger field of view: They encompass 32 diameters of the Sun. To put this in perspective, the diameter of the images is 45 million kilometers (about 30 million miles) at the distance of the Sun, or half of the diameter of the orbit of Mercury. Many bright stars can be seen behind the Sun.
I thought this applied a bit to the discussion for perspective. In C3 images, you can see Venus and Mercury. However, you can see only Mercury in C2 images.

Wayne, the field of view for the STEREO pairs is full sun ±1.7 solar radii. I don't know the distance.

Well, yes and no Wayne. It all depends on where those objects are in relation to either the Sun or telescopes. The STEREO pairs (from what I understand) are on the same orbital path as we are. That would be 1 AU or roughly, just under 93 million miles (didn't have time earlier to double check) from the Sun. Anyway, we would have to find out where in that 93M mi distance these objects are in order to determine size, I would think. Granted if these objects are any small distance from the telescope then they probably wouldn't be dust.
One thought that I've had is "if these things are real and very large objects, their showing up in a part of the spectrum that we can't see with the naked eye" I just can't find any additional data to support a claim.

I hear ya -z, just looking for context. Tough top get sometimes. Your point on visibility in one spectrum, that is very interesting to say the least. Can it be said they are invisible? And is that one spectrum of visibility a way to keep an eye on these things because someone found out they are only visible in that particular frequency? Thinking out loud.

Exactly Wayne, I've been thinking that from the start but I'll be damned if I can find anything to correlate with these 19.5 nanometer images. Even the other wavelength images do not produce artifacts on this scale. I think that says something...but what I'm not even sure yet!

I know I have a raised a few variant ideas about the Sun..for discussion purposes, but at the end of the day Sword's original disclosure and my own personal experience of odd information coming my way....leads me to rest with the concept of the 'debris field'.
From the rare and well done book "The Cosmic Winter" by two Astronomers, the Taurid Stream was the main vehicle for our periodic cycles of bombardment. NOW, being a particular time point for a much larger array of debris from massive cometary fragmentation. There have been others of differing intensity in near history, such as the period close to the "Dark Ages'.
Earth passes through this Stream on a regular basis and it is huge, which explains the varying opportunities for Earth/Moon to get pounded depending on the field density.

The Fall of Rome, The Dark Ages, The Black Plague, The Marauders, all reflected a forgotten history in near time when there was a good pounding rich with fireballs and sky quakes that knocked areas back to subsistence living for quite a time. I have seen (scalar) antennaes going up in my region, The Nation's Capital. Their usage is varied, and can allow for an anti grav curtain perhaps or simply an EMP shield to protect the grid and the social infrastructure at the seat of Canada's governing body. Yet equally capable as an alternate communications medium in the event of a societal wide collapse. We certainly have seen our share of sudden hydro grid failure. Specially in Winter, which is also what Clube says in Cosmic Winter is the real possibility from the debris field. A major 'dusting' of the planet's atmosphere is enough to tip the temperatures and destroy the food system from the North down as well as potentially the power grid from radical weather. (like we experienced here in 97 with the Ice Storm).
I don't have the image on this computer, but the Norway array or the HAARP array showed labels pertaining to ionospheric 'dust' in their studies and tests. I think they plan to cook the dust that would cloud the planet. (very brief summary) ;)
Sword's role was to deal with the debris field itself in a confrontation behind the Sun. We also saw public reports are The Shield Planetary Defense which focused strongly on Venus as an early warning location because it precedes us. Remember, we also have 'public' craft that have been in the L4-L5 regions very recently. they are the best locations for a 60% angle look that gives us eyes on the back of the Sun from both sides.
I think it is as straight up as that.

Lots of buzz on RCH facebook page about recent ESA fly-by (fly-byes) of Phobos by ESA Mars Express and the photos.
Seems ESA relasedthe photoss with added noise, but RCH has cleared them up and is working on a major paper on Phobos.
Keith Laney posted a cleaned up version of one of the photos on his "Hidden Mission Forum" and within days his forum got taken down.
ESA also took high powered x-rays of Phobos to peek inside, but has not released those images yet.
The scuttlebutt is Phobos is an ancient spacecraft about 20 miles in diameter that orbits Mars every 7 hours.

Sorry, the Phobos is not really being x-rayed. I just said that as a metaphor. They are using the MARSIS Radar, a super-dooper ground-penetrating radar which was custom built for the Mars Express exploration of Mars, but which has been adapted to shoot Phobos at a closer range.

Ion..parallel lines do NOT necissarily mean 'artificial'...in fact even layering across long miles of territory is more likely geological process than 'artificial' from all we've seen. Now something sticking UP or DOWN from the terrain in 'blocks' or 'tube' like polygons with straight edges are what is found LESS in nature than long fracture lines or sediment deposits. The lines of Phobos are more likely fracture stresses in the rock.
Doesn't mean Phobos is NOT a moving spaceship. Means that IF, big IF, it has been "colonized" it was likely a large asteroid from the EPH that was in the Asteroid Belt and cored and built on while in space.
Without some independant data gatherers we are left with "government" acquirers and somehow "trust" the data we get. We can only work with what we've got. And I'm more along the lines with Keith that the AMOUNT of data coming back precludes them "airbrushing" artifacts out (except LARGE obvious ones) as there just isn't the time and human resources needed to get at the many TB of data coming back now.

What I found interesting in my crop was first the large spiral that shows it's TIP in white withing the Big Crater the arrow points to. The "lighted tip" can be seen at about the 9 Oclock angle and slightly left of center.
The other area at end of arrow looks like a "choped" Pyramid with a flat area that blends into something like what was left at WTC. An arch with a igloo opening along with other "odd" way the light and shadow forms over the "terrain/building"?
these just imho...and NO...no frackin faces.

MG the area in the LEFT of your crop may be interesting as it rises ABOVE the surface and casts long shadows. If a loose "boulder" it eventually have been lost due to spin and acceleration. Also a tall thin SPIRE...imho...cannot be the nature of the orbital forces REMAIN standing like an egg while the moon spins and tumbles. If the BASE of the SPIRE is "tied" to the moon...then that 'tying' HAD to be artificial.

The book I mentioned was by a John Magor from 1977 titled "Our UFO Visitors" (former RCAF pilot)
In it, he gives some analysis to a Duncan Lunan and his earlier work decoding space signal delays and anomalies that lead to a submission of a message "Our home is Epsilon Booetis". Of course in there is the usual disqualifers while at the same time some supportive correlations to other peoples' work. hmmm
So, interestingly Magor in his book goes into some detail about 'the probe' being in fact "the Moon"....as a hollowed out spherical craft. Having arrived here about 13000 years ago.
Shit, I didn't know any of this material at all back when I explored these notions from other angles.
What brought this to a funny and strange finish was the spontaneous path of inquiry around the word "waverider' that came up for me.

I'm back. I spent April Fool's in a mangrove swamp on the east coast of the Varadero peninsula and adjacent the Cuba mainland. That would be 90 miles from Key West geographically and 600,000 years back geologically. I went beachcombing and that only works when no one else goes there. I posted the pics at

but the comments are here. As it turns out, this particular outing was a real Indiana Jones outing. It wasn't all that far from my hotel but the heaps of waste from land and sea with bits of clothing hanging in mangroves 10 feet over my head, was prolly enough to secure the site for my personal use.
Cuba is a police state period. If you aren't in one particular resort, you are persona non grata. My wife and I were simply looking for shortcuts and were turned back a couple of days before this particular adventure. I followed the coastline through the most difficult parts of mangrove swamp with the expectation that it would be less travelled. I found turtle parts, a fossilized puffer fish, shells of all kinds, and one Eno's Fruit Salts bottle that I know is 100 years old. This, in an area where locals dump their garbage and the seas dredges every floating object imaginable and drives it deep into the swamp.
This is the way I am. I don't know why but I have to do these adventures by myself. To cut to the chase, I arrived at a reef of fossil coral that stretches hundreds of feet out and can be approached at low tide. To my surprise, the nature of detritis changed. There was no pollution. I spotted a blue object and another and another and investigated to discover that I had a cache of raw tourquoise on my hand. Then I found a piece of black pottery that was the same black colour as the backround and very difficult to discern in that environment. I had seen entire houses of stucco, bricks concrete slabs, automobiles etc. deposited along the shoreline and prolly used to secure the shoreline from erosion. The piece I found close to the tourquiose is not modern pottery. The Spaniards had genocided all the native Cuban by 1519. The tower pictured at my website is a tourist site a couple of miles from where I was and features Don Quixotote. As I moved further up the low tide beach, I was approaching a resort. It was at this point I noticed a security guard heading my way and showed him some of my treasures to which he nodded and returned to the resort. Security guards and all citizens of Cuba work for the government and serve at least two years in the army. I already had a bad experience and was cautious about proceeding. Then shows up the "Fridge" with a sash cord and his leetle friend. It was apparent that I was the target of his investigation and when they got close enough I confronted the "fridge" and asked him what was his problem. He was intent on turning my back and I was intent on proceeding. Back.
So on I trudged over the lowtide weedy beach and made a slight correction in order to make tracks over different terrain to further my investigation. I was 6 feet from the spot I had crossed on the way in an wrongly assumed it would be the same. I stepped into quicksand which is just that. quick.
To make a long story short, see the pics. It was clearer to me why this area has such treasures. The only decision I had to make was save the birkenstocks or save my life. I would explain the TV approach to extract oneself from a mangrove swamp quicksand but I doubt you need that information.

Also note that his Roman / American cycle research did NOT focus on 2000 - this date was from his attempts to bring in other sources like Nostradamus.

OK help me out here. My sister-in-law is INSISTING that this bolide caused 10 small fires in her home town (Blue River, Wisconsin). So I have two questions; first, is there any telemetry data available yet to show the meteors likely path of travel and angle of entry? Secondly, and more importantly, is it even conceivable that a bolide such as this could cause a fire on the ground? I suppose something big enough to cause another “tunguska event” might do it, but then we’d have more issues than a grass fire in some small Wisconsin town.

Having just RCH's second installment on his piece on Phobos, I have to admit I'm fascinated. It touches on one area where he and I still agree which is the idea that there are artifacts of a much more ancient civilisation than our present notions of history would allow us to believe and that the civilisation was capable of at least travel through local solar system space at minimum. I think it's time to do a little reading to see independently what Buzz Aldrin is saying about Phobos.

In another piece on the recent 37B 'space plane' flight I found this a funny bit of content.
"In all honesty, we don't know when it's coming back," Gary Payton, deputy undersecretary for Air Force space programs, told reporters in a conference call this week.
Payton said the plane could stay in space for up to nine months.
Flight controllers plan to monitor the vehicle's guidance, navigation and control systems, but the Air Force has declined to discuss what the plane is carrying in its payload or what experiments are scheduled.

In a recent article 'Counting The Craters of Titan', I found that other than the focus these days increasing around the premise of impact craters, I found this bit in the article curious.
In another recent study, Wood and a team of scientists looked at impact craters on an area of Titan known as Xanadu - what they describe as "the most unusual region on Titan." Xanadu, about the size of Australia, is a large bright area that scientists suspect may be made of water ice. Xanadu has more impact craters than any other region surveyed by Cassini so far, but the distribution of these craters appears to be very irregular. This means that the age of Xanadu varies depending on the location.

HABITABLE MOONS
It is fairly commonplace for entire moons to be hollowed-out for livable space inside. Some of these are so gigantic that once you're inside, it's as if you're on a planet -- green grass, trees, mountains, rivers, lakes, oceans, rainfall, et cetera. The only difference is that the 'sky' is artificially lit.
On the surface it just looks like another Moon. It may or may not have any unusual features on the outside, though there almost always will be some.
These are not built out of metal or synthetics in most cases. This would be a waste of material and is unnecessary. There's plenty of big stuff already out there waiting to be used.
Apparently the most common design method is to locate a previously-existing asteroid or small moon, and then engage in a massive construction project inside of it.
Some of them are more like a conventional spacecraft or base inside, with a series of rooms. Others actually resemble habitable worlds, and you might not even know you were on a 'base' at all.
A WORLD WITHIN A WORLD
To build a habitable world within a moon, you have to hollow as much as half of it out, design a stable core for everyone to live on (probably based on a simple geodesic pattern like the dodecahedron for its energetic purposes,) bring in copious amounts of soil, set up a renewable biosphere, use free-energy systems to keep it all running, and harvest biological materials from your own world or other worlds in order to allow it to grow into a usable space.
Once you're done, you have a totally portable world that can be transported wherever you want it to go. A whole civilization can comfortably thrive inside regardless of what exterior conditions may be like.
These are very, very common designs for more advanced civilizations.
Animals can breed, bacteria and earthworms nourish the soil, plants and trees reproduce, and you can also accelerate the time field within it once you set up the basics so you don't have to wait around for it all to grow into full maturity. Within their own domain, thousands of years have gone by, and you turn off the juice once you have it where you want it.
Of course, these inhabited worlds also have defense systems that would stop them from incurring any further damage from the outside than they had sustained prior to their being engineered -- deflecting asteroid collisions and other potentially damaging events.

The following email was sent to me by a friend at a major university in the south. It was sent to her today. I have removed all names to protect anonymity and to ensure that the flow of real information continues. I ask that you not re-post this--I just want you all to know that what BP is telling you is complete BULLSHIT.
Hello All from South Eastern Louisiana -
I am sure that you are all following the oil leak incident going on down
here. My unit at the Naval Research Lab is very active in monitoring and
modeling the situation. We are providing forecasts to NOAA and most of
the oil trajectory maps you see came from us. I spent all day Saturday
at sea with a private environmental group monitoring and mapping day one
of the spill reaching Plaquemines Parish. I would like to say a few things.
1) While BP is still arguing that the input is around 1,000 barrels a
day and NOAA is saying it is around 5,000 barrels a day, the remote
sensing people at NRL are unofficially (and I have to emphasize that
this is unofficial since we have no charter to make official statements)
estimating closer to 20,000 barrels a day. That is about 840,000 gallons
a day.
2) As of Saturday, oil was starting to appear in Placquemines Parish.
With the spring tide and the southerly winds, it is overtopping the
containment booms and is accumulating in the marsh, thus far mostly
around the base of the marsh grass (mostly s. alterniflora). So far it
is not much but there is a lot more coming.
3) I can smell it in the air even at the lab, 25 km inland.
4) Despite the claims of BP, the oil I saw was definitely not Louisiana
Light Sweet Crude. It was much heavier and much more full of
asphaltenes. This makes it less toxic but also less volatile. The best
case would be for it to be LA Light Sweet Crude, that is very volatile
and will burn off in days when exposed to sun and bacteria. This stuff
will stay around a lot longer. One sample has made it to LSU and
analysis there seems to confirm my impression of it. More analysis is
needed.
5) Oil slicked and dead birds, fish and turtles are starting to show up
as far east as Waveland, MS. Mammals are sure to follow. Whales and
dolphins have been observed in the slick area.
6) The rise pipe currently is the only thing limiting discharge and it
has three leaks. Sediment laden oil is moving through there a lot faster
than it was designed for and is abrading it from the inside. It is only
a matter of time before it fails. If it fails before this is contained
then nobody knows what will happen That sort of direct leak has never
happened before. Some sober petroleum geologists are estimating that the
direct discharge could reach as high as 500,000 barrels a day until the
relief well is drilled. Note that a barrel of oil is 42 gallons or 159
liters. It will take 60-90 days to drill the relief well. It is worth
noting that this would equal one Exxon Valdez spill every 21-1/2 days.
7) So, folks, we need help. If you have the interest and expertise, one
good place to register to volunteer is with the Coalition to Restore
Coastal Louisiana (www.crcl.org ). We need people
to do beach clean up, marsh clean up (much harder), monitoring, animal
rescue, pretty much everything.

Of all the theories being bandied about with the oil rigs, I still wouldn't rule out greed, bad design, low-bid construction combined with incompetence making a devastating recipe for disaster. That said, BP has my bullshit meter pegged at full red alert.

Went to see Peter Gabriel in Mtl last week. Very different show than one would expect. Friend going through ugly sudden divorce(element of surprise). A little counseling and a couple of martini's, off to the show, and what do you know the very next day he gets his divorce papers and an offer on their house. The close position of Mars-Phobos L-1 to Phobos ( 2.5 km ) means a large craft could park at L-1 within almost walking distance of Phobos without having to do any tricky docking maneuvers, then shuttle over in smaller tenders or landing craft.

First I'll say...so many of these stories are not truth...or are a part of the game to redirect blame in dual use, and to fuel another agenda. But for our group interest to observe and consider the question of the 'who' of a possible strike against the rig instead of a mere 'accident', I think it should be read.

A grim report circulating in the Kremlin today written by Russia’s Northern Fleet is reporting that the United States has ordered a complete media blackout over North Korea’s torpedoing of the giant Deepwater Horizon oil platform owned by the World’s largest offshore drilling contractor Transocean that was built and financed by South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., that has caused great loss of life, untold billions in economic damage to the South Korean economy, and an environmental catastrophe to the United States.
Most important to understand about this latest attack by North Korea against its South Korean enemy is that under the existing “laws of war” it was a permissible action as they remain in a state of war against each other due to South Korea’s refusal to sign the 1953 Armistice ending the Korean War.
To the attack itself, these reports continue, the North Korean “cargo vessel” Dai Hong Dan believed to be staffed by 17th Sniper Corps “suicide” troops left Cuba’s Empresa Terminales Mambisas de La Habana (Port of Havana) on April 18th whereupon it “severely deviated” from its intended course for Venezuela’s Puerto Cabello bringing it to within 209 kilometers (130 miles) of the Deepwater Horizon oil platform which was located 80 kilometers (50 miles) off the coast of the US State of Louisiana where it launched an SSC Sang-o Class Mini Submarine (Yugo class) estimated to have an operational range of 321 kilometers (200 miles).

On the night of April 20th the North Korean Mini Submarine manned by these “suicidal” 17th Sniper Corps soldiers attacked the Deepwater Horizon with what are believed to be 2 incendiary torpedoes causing a massive explosion and resulting in 11 workers on this giant oil rig being killed outright. Barely 48 hours later, on April 22nd , this North Korean Mini Submarine committed its final atrocity by exploding itself directly beneath the Deepwater Horizon causing this $1 Billion oil rig to sink beneath the seas and marking 2010’s celebration of Earth Day with one of the largest environmental catastrophes our World has ever seen.
To the reason for North Korea attacking the Deepwater Horizon, these reports say, was to present US President Obama with an “impossible dilemma” prior to the opening of the United Nations Review Conference of the Parties to the Treat on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) set to begin May 3rd in New York.
This “impossible dilemma” facing Obama is indeed real as the decision he is faced with is either to allow the continuation of this massive oil leak catastrophe to continue for months, or immediately stop it by the only known and proven means possible, the detonation of a thermonuclear device.
Russian Navy atomic experts in these reports state that should Obama choose the “nuclear option” the most viable weapon at his disposal is the United States B83 (Mk-83) strategic thermonuclear bomb having a variable yield (Low Kiloton Range to 1,200 Kilotons) which with its 12 foot length and 18 inch diameter, and weighing just over 2,400 pounds, is readily able to be deployed and detonated by a remote controlled mini-sub.

And even though Obama has ordered military SWAT teams to protect other oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico from any further attack, and further ordered that all drilling in the Gulf of Mexico be immediately stopped, this massive oil spill has already reached the shores of America and with high waves and more bad weather forecast the likelihood of it being stopped from destroying thousands of miles of US coastland and wildlife appears unstoppable.
And not just to the environmental catastrophe that is unfolding the only devastation to be wrecked upon the United States and South Korea by this North Korean attack as the economic liabilities associated with this disaster are estimated by these Russian reports to be between $500 Billion to $1.5 Trillion, and which only a declaration of this disaster being an “act of war” would free some the World’s largest corporations from bankruptcy.
Important to note too in all of these events was that this was the second attack by North Korea on its South Korean enemy, and US ally, in a month as we had reported on in our March 28th report titled “Obama Orders ‘Immediate Stand-down’ After Deadly North Korean Attack” and which to date neither the Americans or South Korea have retaliated for and giving one senior North Korean party leader the courage to openly state that the North Korean military took “gratifying revenge” on South Korea.
And for those believing that things couldn’t get worse, they couldn’t be more mistaken as new reports coming from Japanese military sources are stating that North Korea is preparing for new launches of its 1,300 kilometer (807 miles) intermediate range ballistic “Rodong” missile which Russian Space Forces experts state is able to “deploy and detonate” an atomic electromagnetic pulse (EMP) device, and which if detonated high in the atmosphere could effectively destroy the American economy for years, if not decades, to come.

Ion, that is also at and around 19.5 degrees north and 270 E (Which is the same as 90 W) in other words, on the edge of the disk that we see from earth. A nice place for a base. From there you could see the earth and somewhat see what is "behind" the moon.
270 is the nominal meridian of the moon's leading apex, the meridian that faces the orbital direction of the moon.

WASHINGTON, May 17 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Barack Obama called South Korean President Lee Myung-bak Monday to discuss the progress of the probe into the sinking of a South Korean warship in March.
During their telephone conversation, Lee provided an update on the status of the investigation into the sinking of the Cheonan in which 46 South Korean sailors lost their lives.
He expressed appreciation for U.S. support in the Cheonan rescue and salvage operations, as well as for the participation of U.S. experts in the international inquiry, according to the White House.
The two leaders emphasized the importance of obtaining a full accounting of the event and committed to following the facts of the investigation wherever they lead.
Commissioned in 1989, the Cheonan, a Pohang-class corvette, was on a routine patrol mission before beginning to sink on the maritime border with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on March 26. Only 58 of a total of 104 crew men were rescued.
The two presidents pledged their utmost efforts to ensure the security of South Korea, and Obama reaffirmed the commitments of the United States.
Obama and Lee reiterated that the DPRK must live up to its commitment to eliminating its nuclear weapons program, comply with its international obligations under relevant U.N. Security Council resolutions, and put an end to "belligerent behavior" toward its neighbors.

Speculation has steadily increased that a North Korean torpedo brought down the 1,200-ton Cheonan on March 26 in the Yellow Sea near the two countries' disputed western sea border. A total of 46 sailors from the 104-man crew died.
The government launched a joint military-civilian probe with help from foreign countries including the United States. It has determined that a "strong underwater explosion generated by the detonation of a torpedo" caused the ship to split apart and sink, Yu said in a speech to Seoul-based European business executives.
Asked later by reporters if North Korea sank the Cheonan, Yu replied, "I think it's obvious." He added that "we have enough evidence" to take the sinking to the U.N. Security Council. Yu declined to provide details ahead of the release of the report.
Impoverished yet nuclear-armed North Korea has denied involvement in the sinking, one of South Korea's worst naval disasters. Vice parliamentary speaker Yang Hyong Sop criticized Seoul earlier this week for "unreasonably" linking his country to the incident, according to the North's state radio station.
The report's release is likely to further increase tensions on the divided Korean peninsula, where the 1950-53 Korean War ended in a truce, rather than a peace treaty. Fragments of a torpedo propeller found near the disaster site are similar to parts from a North Korean torpedo that South Korea obtained seven years ago, the Chosun Ilbo newspaper reported Wednesday, citing unidentified government officials.
A serial number on the torpedo propeller was written in a font typically used in North Korea, and traces of explosives found in the wreckage resemble those used in the North Korean torpedo retrieved in 2003, it said.
South Korea's Defense Ministry said it could not confirm the reports.
In Washington, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia Kurt Campbell said Wednesday he couldn't talk about the report's conclusions until it is released. "The United States has been deeply and actively involved in all aspects of the investigation, and the United States strongly supports its conclusions," Campbell said.
He said a major reason for Clinton's visit to Asia is to allow close consultations with her counterparts in South Korea, China and Japan about the sinking and to work on appropriate responses. In particular, he said, Clinton will be interested to learn from senior Chinese officials their assessments of developments in North Korea and their reaction to the report on the Cheonan.
"We are concerned by a number of steps that North Korea has taken that we consider to be provocative," Campbell said.

We will fight in the war that is constantly being waged by our own society, and in order to protect it from its own undoing, we will lend our federal soldiering expertise when called on by local state officials to capture or kill criminals. Criminals in this state seem to be somewhat tougher and smarter than the usual gantry. We are doing this now, and as you can see my brothers, we are very good at it. So gentleman, that is but one of the responsibilities to our people and we will still train for that mission type.

One of the "agreements" is "Don't take anything personally."
If someone insults you, calls you a name, thinks badly of you, you should not take that personally. It isn't about you, it's about the other person's thoughts. It's their "projection," not yours.
