NASA's LOV Roulette
458 comments - Click for BlogSTS-121 Discovery
Launch Pad: 39B
Launch Date: July 1, 2006
Launch Time: 03:48 p.m. EDT | 19:48 UT
Landing: July 13, 2006
Duration: 12 days
Orbital Insertion Altitude: 122 nautical miles
Orbit Inclination: 51.60°
Countdown begins: T-43 hours
In a few days, Discovery is scheduled to return to space for an extended rendevouz with the International Space Station ISS. This will be Discovery's 32nd flight. According to NASA,
"The crew of space shuttle Discovery will continue to test new equipment and procedures that increase the safety of space shuttles during the STS-121 mission to the International Space Station. It also will perform maintenance on the space station and deliver more supplies and cargo for future station expansion.
This mission is to carry on analysis of safety improvements that debuted on the Return to Flight mission, STS-114, and build upon those tests."
So it would seem that NASA's 'Holy Grail' of Safety is of paramount importance...or is it? It seems that this idea being fostered is not quite the universal reality. The following document was received from 'X', and it shows that there is some disagreement about the state of Flight Readiness.
STS-121 Certification of Flight readiness
In this document dated June 17, 2006, B.D. O'Connor, Chief of Safety and Mission Assurance, states:
"I am no-go based on loss of vehicle risk (ice frost ramps). Based on appeal to Administrator I have no intention to appeal his risk acceptance and concur with proceeding with mission".
Later that same day there was a STS-121 Post Flight Readiness Review Briefing held at Kennedy Space Center and broadcast on NASA-TV. To NASA's credit, there was significant discussion regarding Mr. O'Connor's reservations and the risk involved. But the end result is summed up in Administrator Griffin's statement that:
"So the question is can we fly a few times with this ice/frost ramp without probably incurring a hazard, and based on the data I have seen, I believe that we can."
A curious statement, no doubt, and made more so by the briefing charts which amazingly include a photographic presentation of NASA's Top Ten Ice/Frost Ramp Foam Loss Events! WTF?
Administrator Griffin says about this:
"This is fully what we expect to se, potentially on STS-121 when we get some of our external photography back. We expect to see losses in these regions, pretty much similar to what we have seen here......
So, when we see this in flight and you get this data down, we should not be surprised."
Well, now this could, as is stated, be the result of balanced, reasoned judgement and review...or could it be something else? Are we being carefully prepared to accept the harbinger of a dangerous situation if or when it happens?
Well, it does seem that more than one person at NASA thinks so. The following is a statement from NASA Chief Safety and Mission Assurance Officer Bryan O'Connor, again and Chief Engineer Chris Scolese delivered on June 19th concerning the decision to launch the Space Shuttle Discovery in July, despite reservations:
"Crew safety is our first and most important concern. We believe that our crew can safely return from this mission.
"We both feel that there remain issues with the orbiter -- there is the potential that foam may come off at time of launch. That's why we feel we should redesign the ice/frost ramp before we fly this mission. We do not feel, however, that these issues are a threat to safe return of the crew. We have openly discussed our position in the Flight Readiness Review -- open communication is how we work at NASA. The Flight Readiness Review board and the administrator have heard all the different engineering positions, including ours, and have made an informed decision and the agency is accepting this risk with its eyes wide open."
Due to the availability of emergency contingencies such as the ISS, CSCS, Launch-On-Need and even Russian Soyuz, the Administrator feels that Crew risk is minimized and he distinguishes Crew Risk from Programmatic Risk. At this juncture, the Program is to complete the ISS within the next 4 years. the Programmatic Risk is another catasrophic or near-catastrophic Shuttle flight, jeopardizing the goal of completing ISS. Of course, the question then is "Of what value, ISS?". Is ISS worth the risk?
As a final note, an additional task of STS-121 is the transport of the crew of ISS Expedition 13 crew!
British born astronaut Piers Sellers will replace Carlos Noriega on the STS-121 mission. This is due to an undisclosed, temporary medical condition.
Thomas Reiter was scheduled to be dropped off at the ISS to join the other Expedition 11 crew members (A position previously planned to be filled by Sergei A. Volkov (Russia)), but since the launch of STS-121 was pushed back until at least July 2006, he will be joining the Expedition 13 crew. The addition of Reiter's will result in three crew members being left on the ISS. Since the Columbia accident and the grounding of the shuttle fleet, only two people have been residing on the ISS.
The other day I asked the question "Could global warming/coming cataclysm be the communication telling mankind that it is now time to move mankind to the stars? Are we being told to 'man the lifeboats?" There was no response, but then maybe I didn't couch the thought correctly. Maybe because it's hard to express, so let me just put it like this. I'm beginning to think that we are being communicated with, just not the way SETI planned it. And I think that the communication is exhorting mankind to do something NOW, that we need to be establishing a self-sufficient, permenant presence in outer space. Most of us in my generation always thought we would...so, what happened?
Some folk think that the 'aliens' had a little sit down with a US president and warned us away from space. Could be! but I don't think so. I think there are more earthly forces that do not want us to be in space. Their fortunes, their plans, their power stand to be disrupted and eroded by a Great Diaspora of Civilization to the Stars. For a large-scale effort to space takes up resources...money, minerals, educated minds and muscle...all currently being directed to the waging of war and furthering the enslavement of humankind under a fascist corpocracy which has gained riches and power since 1947.
I say that Mankind's highest priority is to move into Outer Space.
And I say that there certain parties on Planet Earth that, rather than have a safe and successful Space program, stand to gain by the result of this game of Loss-of-Vehicle Roulette.

you beat me to it. anyone can spell deja vu?
sk, who posted this blog? was it boh?
Wow Bohemia, reads like that Viewzone article about the holes in the sky. Careful out there!
Is this idiocy anywhere near an end? We need this thing like we need a hole in the head.
Right ear rang twice today 2:31pm EST and 3:11pm EST. Short and sweet bofe em.
Wayne
Boh,
Thanks for the report on HAARP. Sounds pretty scarey.
Over RI Sunny through thin upper level clouds, but banks of cumulus to the west. Lots of trails in the upper level clouds and rippled clouds in places. Everything a washed out white color even the blue sky. More the look of late afternoon than early evening here (7:15 ).
I can see by your posts you are involved in science and related fields. Is it your opinion that the weather mods and messing with the ozone is something we should be doing?
From what I can see it is only causing havoc, but I may be mistaken. If that is the case, please enlighten me.
Thanks
Drizzling on and off here in SNJ. Lower cloud deck has thickened but still moving noticeably fast. Wind comes in gusts I don't think more than 10-15. Don't have an anemometer to measure with. Catch up later.
OSOTP,
The current blog is all Sunking.
sunking, you is x? :)
Wayne
No. 'X' leaked me the CoFR document. I wrote about it and the other info.
fwiw, I certainly want the benevolent guys to get and keep the upper hand. TPTB/NWO guys need to be shut down. Let's roll Bo! ;)
Wayne
Verrrrry interestink, Boh.
I'll hve to add that to the blog.
good one SK !
thnx
interesting developments to say the least. Thnx Bo !
Another great blog.
Getting OFF planet Earth has been by one single driving factor in all I have done through the years.
I STILL think though that the ONLY way this can be accelerated and actually accomplished in our lifetime is through:
HIJACKING THE STARSHIP
Anything else is just allowing the great and uncaring powers that be to continue fondling their dicks in one hand while fracking the rest of us with the other.

Kudos to Gen'l McKenzie, Crypt0...thanks!
countdown now less than T43 hours.
Sounds like family members of the crew have some reason to be a little bit worried
and even upset at the current risks.
Maybe it's analogous to weighing the risks of an elective surgery, but now toss in
that the surgeon isn't up to speed on any of the new techniques, will be using
dirty instruments and could be stoned and drunk during the surgery.
The shuttle should be mothballed, hell isn't that everyones view?
There's trash to be brought down from the ISS and other projects, but let's build a new bird, at
least get the ball rolling.
The current risk seems too high. It sucks that we let the space program
get this far off track, now it seems we are positioned to just be frustrated
unless we speed forward. We need a huge dose of money and momentum in that
program, instead we just get other government corruptions, nasty !
I agree with you sunking in that there's something else going on w/ the politics on the
shuttle and wonder how much of it you have right. We defineately do need
to establish permanent bases off this planet although I think a nearby gamma burst would
do us in no matter where we are in this solar system but that's about the least likely
problem we will have in the coming decades.
bohemia, I still am left trying to fill in the gaps, did haarp ripple the ionosphere or did
the di-polar discharge from the ionosphere cause the rippling? What happened is amazing,
and I'm surprised that so many there are still around, were there any human casualties?
It sounds like some of the people up there are in shock (over being shocked.)
It sounds like a radiant event hit haarp, and a discharge that should have been considered
a danger. In the back of my mind I can't help but ponder if it was intelligently constructed.
A message sent via a major slap, of course it's more logical to think it was natural.
Also bohemia I'm wondering how the recent disaster ties in with your prior comments to
keep an eye on the aleutian islands and other areas, what kind of testing was going
on in the days before this happened? Was it the new full power haarp was already being
used?
I'm also wondering what safety measures for this kind of thing were in place, certainly
some of the folks up there would have known that this was possible, right?
Just working on the Edwin Gray circuit has given me enough info. to consider
the potential of a di-pole event like that.
I hope it sets haarp back for a couple of years as the testing up there seems
to have been way too reckless.
Earlier today the solar wind speed was 270, I've checked back twice since and both times
it has increased, spaceweather.com has it at 440 right now. The Ca. Nevada earthquake map
is at 255 in the last week, pretty quiet, but expect that it will be well over 300 within a
couple of days if the solar wind speed keeps increasing.
Weather here is clearing, less clouds but still have 3 distinct cloud levels, seems
we always have the high clouds mixed with mid and low level, all of 'em. Too many
clouds it seems.
bryansail signing out, will be watching the shuttle, hoping it makes it safely.
just mid levels, being s t r e t c h e d out, changing fast today, can't keep up w/ it.
The newscast local weather will just gloss over it and crack some lame jokes w/ out
any hint of insight, I can't wait
wind speed now 424, going up FAST
I might just drive down there and watch the liftoff. Just a coupla hours drive. I've never seen one, except from afar (i.e. on a clear day I can go out in my front yard and see it at altitude. Kinda cool...but ya don't feel the burn.
The solar wind speed was at 404 (I typed 440) so it IS going up each time I check. sorry for the typo
or braino.
I'd like to see the landing, The alternate landing
site is less than a couple hour drive, haven't done so yet,
with the weather here lately I think NASA may have
to change the alternate landing site to somewhere more serene
(where ever that is lol)
lol...maybe New Zealand?
I'm outta here...good night, friends!
Sunking, You might want to throw this into the equation:
Space debris to pass metres from ISS
Excellent blog BTW
Boh,
Dumb question, is it safe to fly with these "rogue" di-polarized zappy things going on? Bad enough I have to be in SEA this week with the ground being unstable, now I worry about getting zapped out of the sky!

New Kind of Chem Trail
BTW: any one else just slightly disturbed at the sudden formation of that Low off NC???? The waters up there right now are supposed to be too cool for formation, from what I understand....
no worries Scarlet
When they lengthened the runway in Honolulu, they made it shuttle friendly, so its an alternate landing site.
Hi all...
Very nice blog, Sunking. I too, think that we should move out into space, because I think that with all that usable real-estate in our Solar System, we'd have no reason to fight over who gets what out there, because there's plenty for all of us...
I am just LOVING all this wonderful rain we're getting here in MD. A couple days ago, the Beltway was partially closed because of a mudslide. I wish every day would be this rainy, and I mean it...
Sunking, my dad saw a Saturn V launch once. He was 12 miles away, I think, and the ground was shaking, and it was very loud. I like watching the space shuttle launch on TV, because it's easier to see with the cameras tracking it. I'm always nervous, and sometimes I pray, from liftoff to "Max Q", the point in the launch where the shuttle is getting equal exertations of forces everywhere (shortly before SRB separation, when they throttle back the main engines), which is about 73 seconds into launch. Ever since I heard about the accident with "Challenger", I've been nervous...
Scarletm, that's a very interesting article on the new trails. I haven't seen any over my house for a while, just 100% natural clouds. I noticed that Low 2 days ago near Florida. I think that it's a blessing, because we really need the rain here. I hope that it just parks right over my house and stays there...
Oh, if anyone was wondering why I haven't been here much recently, it's because I've been feeling down ever since a week ago, when I came back from a friend's funeral (details on newenterprisecrewman.blogspot.com)...
Oh yes, almost forgot...

For those that follow this sort of thing:
Mercury goes retro grade on July 4th but you can start feeling the effects now.
How it will affect you
Some pointers:
-Expect delays esp while traveling. This can be in the car, or in the skies.
-Back up all data as computer crashes/problems can be common
-Don't buy any expensive electronics ( or any if you can avoid it)
-Hold off on signing imprtant documents or making important decisions, miscommunication is hightened now. Any major decisions made now tend to have a boomerang effect i.e. either they don't work out OR major revisions will be in order down the line.(back at square one.)
-You may/can experience major car problems.
Have patience...this too shall pass. Merc retrgrade is a great time to reflect on inner things, and happenings. Take it slow on the outset and Merc Retograde can be easier to cope with.
And when all hell starts to break loose...blame merc retograde!
I'm tellin y'all I have been following Merc reto and its effects for over 10 years now and I'm a firm believer in it. TRY IT. Pay attention. It might make a believer out of you too!
Tesla's car
http://waterpoweredcar.com/teslascar.html
Great new blog, SK! I sincerely hope we are not being set up for yet another accident meant to completely ground the civilian manned space program once and for all, however that is certainly how it's starting to look, yes?
Boh,
I waited a day after seeing your request about anomolous cloud cover yesterday as, working nights, I don't always get a chance to adequately observe daytime skies and clouds aren't always that obvious at night. :)
Anyhow, cloud cover seems relatively normal considering the amount of rainfall we are getting and I don't really see anything strange about the clouds in and of themselves. The rainfall, however, is a bit strange for Knoxville, TN area this time of year. Usually, the bulk of our rainfall is during spring and fall months and summer months tend to be fairly dry with extremely humid atmosphere. Well, the humidity is still there, but the amount of rainfall (going on day three of stop and start scattered showers) is strange as well as the fact that it is unseasonably rather cool. In fact, was downright chilly on Monday night. Like OSOTP's Kentucky report, we should be at humid atmosphere, dry ground conditions and near unbearable heat right now and that does not seem to be the case.
Don't get me wrong, as a TN native I am rather enjoying the unseasonable coolness but it is kinda weird.
By the way, could you possibly continue the thought you began last blog with the comment "there is a 'them'"? That line certainly grabbed my attention and I'm more than a little curious. :)

Weather this am is overcast. The low level clouds are now moving towards the E as for the pst couple of days they were moving towards the N. Still, the clouds are moving at a good speed. Ground level winds are diminshed but man is it humid here. We had some rain overnight, but no major drenchers. Staying tuned.

scarlet,
Saw that the other day. T said she saw some over her place. Been too cloudy here to see much of anything. Bad weather here for almost a week now. Sigh.......
Tesla's car, sounds like Tesla was running a car on stepped up voltage/current from the magnetic field of the Earth. Very cool stuff. No meter, no build. Sad, from todays perspective.

New Kind of Chem Trail
starshipconstellation replies
Remember when I reported seeing a STAR shaped set of chemtrails? Many of the pics from your link resemble what I saw in more blatant formation. I really must get and carry a digital camera.
Regarding the cooler temperatures: I was the one who reported for Kentucky instead of OSOTP, I'm also thankful for the cooler temperatures because at this time of the year Kentucky should already be fairly miserable by now. I've observed people who don't normally comment on weird weather have noticed this. They noticed it in their pocketbooks from not having to run so much air conditioning.
Scarlet,
'Space cargo' weighing 178 lbs? What the hell 'cargo' were they carrying in a Mercuriy capsule that weighed 178lbs that they could just jettison? Smells funny to me.
And 800 ft. in space...pretty damned close!
John,
good to see you, sorry about your friend, and I love a good storm too but when flooding washes away your home or that of your neighbor's and Jesus leaves town for New Orleans, you may just wish for a ray of sunshine. :)
thanks to all for the nice comments about the blog.
As per Bryan's posts from last night, solar wind speed is now 523.
And this from spaceweather.com:
AURORA WATCH: Earth is entering a high-speed solar wind stream that could spark a mild geomagnetic storm tonight. Sky watchers, especially those in Canada, should be alert for auroras.
Plus 2 sunspots now visible.
May have some bearing on your issues, T.

And sorry 'bout stealin' the spaceWX.com stuff
T,
Is it really the Shrub? Or, the "other" guys? I have often wondered about this.
Wayne
I don't know why NASA can never acknowledge the damage is caused by ice not foam. The ramp is cooled by a flood of water. At certain launch temps plus humidity, ice forms on the super cooled fuel cells. Period.
I hear ya T. Seems as though we are voting for the sheer act of it only. I am sure we are not the only ones that see it this way. If exit polls show a different result than the actual vote, I would like to think all hell would break loose. That would certainly be the brink of governmental upheaval. All should be for the benefit of mankind as a whole, not the few and be damned with the rest.
Wayne
See ericswan, there you go making sense again. Stop that! ;)
Wayne
Boh,
Thanks for the objective answer. What do you see as the benefits of this technology, aside from the weaponization of it?
I think what people resent is the fact that it affects more than just the people testing it, and the area the test is carried out in. I have relatives in DC and one of them was almost killed in the flooding, and the car they were in was destroyed. From my point of view when the weather systems are manipulated it ceases to be an 'Act of God' and turns into something engineered. Are the people overseeing this experiment prepared to take responsibility for the damage they do in the process of experimentation? No one has answered that question, though I've posed it several times.
I assume you are involved in this project, so I appreciate your forthright replies even more.
regards
mac
T, Wayne,
I too have been experiencing the sinus problems and had a dull headache for the past two days. It has subsided today and I'm feeling better. I've noticed the same thing everytime the CT's are heavy here and the rippled clouds appear.
Wayne,
I had to remark to myself that here we are, with such high potential for WWIII (i.e. Israel ramping up their military responses) and Congress today has been debating what's termed 'the Pimp Tax' (busting pimps and ho's for tax evasion a la Al Capone). That after wasting time with those priority Flag burning Issues.
WTF?
And is there any word from Dubya about this situation?
Jas,
Still waiting for your numerological analysis of STS-121...Boh made a start!
Had an intense dream last night.
There were some other things going
on but I'll just skip to the part
that was occuring as I woke up.
In my dream brilliant white flashes
were going off all around me, there was an element of 'this is cool' but then it became way too much, something awoke me, I opened
my eyes to look at the alarm clock
and blinked several times because
there was an after image (appeared
blue when I reclosed my eyelids) of some of the bright white flashes. The clock read 1:11 (although my clock is off by 7 minutes) I thought of getting up and writing it down but told myself
I wouldn't forget since it was so vivid. I've forgotten a lot of it since. There was a lucid component
to the dream in that it really got to be too much and I had the thought that I just needed to wake out of it but I couldn't wake up for a few seconds. Overall was really cool (especially after I'd woken up) The afterimage thing still blows me away a little.
Obviously I'm really into the HAARP details that bo has shared.
The 1:11 am thing freaks me out too, I looked at my alarm at 112 and 114 because I still couldn't believe it. -bryan
Now we have large puffy clouds building over the mountain ranges,
looks like more lightning later on
today. Taking pictures.
V,
Yeah, Scarlet had already posted that earlier today...in fact I updated the blog with it at the bottom.
Note: I shifted some HTML setting a bit so I could get the links and stuff to appear back up at the top, as normal. Sometimes certain blogs force links down. Essentiall, I expanded the body of the text on the page (ha...used 777 vs 660). So if something 'feels' different, it ain't TPTB...just me playing with HTML.
BTW: anyone see that now Allstate has dumped their EQ policy holders?
Even though they had a 1point something BILLION dollar PROFIT last year?
So paying in all those years and you just got it in the arse.
I hate Allstate: they have purged millions off their hurricane and wind storm rolls too.
If i were with Allstate, I'd be looking around for a new provider before they decide that you can be dropped...And I AM!

Hi Boh,
I guess you answered the question about the way I expected. The only people who know where the lines are drawn are the ones doing the experimenting. It could be assumed that they are keeping data on what they are doing, but you are correct, the gov't isn't about to admit a thing. As far as the public is concerned it doesn't exist. That is no surprise. Thanks however for the truthful answer.
You mentioned positive benefits of this technology as opposed to weaponization. Do you know what they might be?
Please don't take my questions or comments as combative. I'm just curious to know your point of view as someone involved with this work.

Eric, you mentioning the 9/11 steel, reminded me of a CNN story just this week regarding that very metal.
Apparently it's being made into a floating real-life dreadnought of sorts.
A battle ship that will have 'never forget' stamped on it's bow.
So too anyone that would know; How much negative energy does the very steel that people died inside, harness?
Is that in the ghostbuster manual?
Eric,
Email sent. Blogger calls it the 'Template'.
'Bout time, Jas! Actually there's a whole load of ritual numbers in this blog.

That after wasting time with those priority Flag burning Issues.

Well the fallout from the latest storm around the PHL is major flooding all through PA. Na Zrowie adn I are both from the same part of PA and there is a big evac (150-200k) because of the Susquehanna. That water comes down from NY.
The sky around here is anything but normal. Not even the normal CT's that are "normal" anymore. I haven't seen any of the new and improved CT's, but almost everyone is commenting on the weather. I mentioned to wifey the weather, and her answer is agrement. She is not even a cadet shoddie but knows that there is something rotten in Denmark.
Slight respiratory discomfort is apparent with me and some good moments of lethergy and feelin down. This sucks. And it seems the worst is yet to come. Some rollercoaster ride. It's times like this I wish I wasn't as tall as the cartoon character, because then I couldn't go on the ride. ;)

been seeing it on CNN. Bad!
Somewhat ironic today to see folks who were probably 1st on the block to condem the Katrina folks who didn't evac, tell CNN about how they refused to leave their homes.
Hope y'all OK.

SK:
My rudimentary skills at Chart reading tell me nothing more than
Sun is in Cancer (sighn we are in now)
Moon is in Virgo
Mercury is in Leo.
NOW Mercury is going to be going retrograde here on the 4th. And let me tell you, NASA should know better than to launch while this is going on. I can almost garantee BIG time porblems. I mean, how much more of an electrical quagmire can you have that the shuttle??? I expect problems with my CAR and home computer...Imagine the freaking SHUTTLE. This does not bode will AT ALL.
The fact that the missions "sign" is Cancer it is of a "feminine" nature and is ruled by the moon.
Leo is in the 10th house which proves how ambitious this flight.
IS.
Thats about all I can read right now because my really good astrology book has somehow come up missing.
Hope someone can fill in the blanks here, but right off the bat, with this thing operating while merc is retro makes me VERY worried.
Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th. I'm back to Seattle to help ease my Great Aunt's "soul" ( I'm not sure she has one and if she does its very small. ) off this Mortal Coil. Hospice says she'll be lucky to survive the night.
Please do not dispense with "im sorry for your loss...." for me . I personally despised the old bat and actually have been semi composing a possible future blog on Karma life/death etc.
She is NOT going quietly into that good night & not because she is fighting death but because it seems the Ole Grim Reaper is dishing out some very painful end of life lessons to her right now and being quite a tease. (Someone must have wished her a slow, painful death, because that's waht she's getting right now. I can only hope she will meet St.Peter, but I have a feeling El Diablo's gonna be her next date.
I wish I could name one redeeming quality of Aileen right now...hummmm...well, maybe by the time I get the blog written I'll think of one. :)
TTFN.
Bravado BS or Truth?
Personally i HOPE its just bravado BS, cause otherwise, the BIG firecrackers gonna be out in full force.

Insurance is nothing more than a legalized confidence racket! Now, I understand people like to think of ins. as a nice security blanket and cannot imagine not having it. But c'mon folks! Consider how much cash you dump into the crap and then look at how much effort the companies put into NEVER PAYING IT BACK, even when you have a valid claim! Sorry, I don't mean to yell and certainly not at you, scarlet. It's just that I've had a personal grudge against the practices of ins. frauds....er, I mean companies, for a very long time. Even before TN passed a state law requiring auto ins., so no, it wasn't a knee-jerk reaction to that. I still wanna know, though, what kind of kickbacks our state legislature saw after passing that, though. And yes, I understand that the IDEA of insurance is a very good thing. Too bad no companies have the decency and honor to make it work.

And thanks for the Rigorous Intuition link, ericswan! I perused it briefly and will definitely check in for more later and I might even jump into the conversation there, some, as well. One neat little tidbit I did pick up there that I thought I would share here for anyone interested, though. Apparently there is a web service, gabbly.com, that creates an impromptu chat site for any web page. Since there is the occasional murmur against our lack of live chat, perhaps we can give it a go. The URL to make it happen here would be http://gabbly.com/fshod.blogspot.com
I plan to give it a go, meself, however I prob'ly won't be on very long this morning as it is nearing the end of my shift and I'll be going home to bed soon, but would be very cool to get to chat real time with some of y'all.

Charlotte.. There have been a few anomalous effects that correlate with your solar plexus issues. First noticed was Hubble which was posted here last weekend. What never gets posted is what is going on at HAARP. Apparently, something did happen last weekend. I don't want to speculate. Here is a cut and paste from an insider as to an electrical gravitic interface to the ionosphere during the weekend. Feel free to draw your own conclusions... eric swan
Supplemental Information:
from Ground Zero...
Whatever happened that kicked us in the ass did an excellent job. There are burnt areas as far as one can see. I am surprised no one was killed or seriously injured. Some people are complaining about imbalance, dizziness, ringing in the ears/head, general pain, and severe headaches.
There is a static charge just lingering on this area. I already caught a few zappers and it was painful.
The weather, as per the crew, is behaving as I expect. Stunning.
Equipment damage is moderate. Some transformer banks (estimate 3 at this moment) will need replacing. The smell of ozone and burnt PVC is gagging. In some spots, metal melted. There are many downed lines.
There is a grey haze that makes the place look pale and surreal. The sun is a bright white disk. The type you can look at with minimal eye discomfort. Detectors are showing spikes in UVC, EM, and beta charge density. The place feels like a live circuit.
The group stationed here have the look of fear in their eyes. Their eyes are wide open with constricted pupils. One would think they seen the apocalypse. Few are able to adequately describe what happened. Not sure if it is selective memory or they also got zapped. It could have been too crazy to logically decipher what is happening.
People here tell me when it hit, the crackling noise was deafening and the light nearly blinding. Dancing around outside was electricity similar to ball lightning. It danced along the ground and scorched where it touched/bounced. These sprites lingered approximately 30 - 45 seconds before vapourising.
Reconnaissance crews returned with 20 dead birds of a few different species. They stated there are many more. It is as if they fell out of the sky already dead. Also, 1 caribou was found dead. It's eyes were both filled with cataracts. The poor thing was most likely blind. I am worrying about any miscarriages -- human and animal recently.
Now back to your regularly scheduled blog...
Sorry.

Thanks Sunking.. Here is an interesting thought. We know that the "observer" affects the quantum and we end up with a distorted view of the "small small world". I am just simply astonished by the effect my little 240X Hitachi DVD video is having on the Chemtrailers. One of the interesting features is when they "see" me "working" they will go from a two steam to a "no stream" trail. When they don't see me working, they are usually doing a 4 stream trail. It all comes down to "who do you trust" and apparently, I'm not one of them...hehe..
V..thanx for the link to PP. I have been dealing with that mindset all my adult life. The system has never been weighted toward "fair" and this causes imbalance and when you have imbalance you get 4s.
Hi All,
Thanks for the positive thoughts Wayne. Hopefully everybody in DC, and elsewhere will be ok.
Rainiest May and June on record here in New England. 16" and change. Last record was 15' and change in 1998.
Foggy here, no rain but real humid and uncomfortable. I have a dull sinus headache and the same lethargy as everyone else. Everyone I run into today who is usually upbeat are down in the dumps.
Hi Boh,
I think adversarial would be a better word than combative. Couldn't dredge it up out of my cranium.
Thanks for your answers, and your optimistic outlook for uses of HAARP. Oh that would be true, but we all know TPTB want a weapon first.
From pondering all you said, it seems like the ultimate weapon. Weather control, mind/ mood control, earthquake control and I suppose one could shut down certain electrical systems. Maybe that makes the nuclear weapons obsolete at some point.
Am I correct in thinking that other major powers have the same thing? Are you possibly war-gaming (or worse) with them?
Just as an aside to all this, I'm a student of the Bible and all the biblical catastrophes that seemed impossible are now doable with HAARP; calling down fire from the sky, drought on demand, earthquakes, throwing whole armies into confusion etc. Jas could probably tell where it all is chapter and verse, I don't have it memorized that well.
Wonder if all this existed in the past and was hidden away for a reason?
Thanks for you candor Boh, and hope you feel better.
regards
mac
Ms. T,
Thanks for the informative page re: Eris. Of course, the page chose to represent all the negative aspects of said Greek deity which doesn't exactly jibe with the spirit with which my comment was initially made. :)
For a lighter side take on the subject, and perhaps a little insight into my own preferred approach to looking at things, might a also suggest taking a gander at The Principia Discordia. It's a wonderful little treatise covering the potential positive aspects of chaos and discord and I leave it to the reader to decide if it's just a joke or if there's anything of relevance and worth there. Have fun!

Good points re" brain scan, V.
Lou Dobbs is hot tonite...probs with STS121 and wireless e-voting machines.
Hello, all! Well, I'm glad y'all liked the Gabbly idea (I have it loaded and hope to see some folks come chat *hint, hint*). I put it forward mainly as I thought having some sort of chat outlet could help cut down on extraneous posts that don't serve much more purpose than making it difficult for our dialup folk to play, too. And I'm not calling out anyone, btw, as I'm just as bad about it as anyone. :) T'was just a thought.
SK, there have been probs with those voting machines ever since they were cooked up. They've been used in smaller, localized elections for a couple of years now and peeps in isolated areas have been condemning them soundly. 2004 was the first time they were rolled out for a national election and, as expected, by having kept the dissent towards those machines as isolated as possible there wasn't near the mass outcry there should have been. I have an article saved in email somewhere from a year or two before the last Presidential election all about the controversy surrounding them. I tried for awhile to make folks aware before that election, but of course I was just cursed for a crazy and ignored. If I can locate that email, though, I'll send 'ya a copy.

Hi all...
You probably can guess at my reaction to the "Supreme Politburo"'s decision to continue to strip away President Bush's wartime powers, but for those who aren't regulars here, I'll sum up my reaction...
WHAT THE HECK WERE THEY THINKING?!!!!
I'm puzzled. We have control of the Supreme Court ("We" being conservatives). I can understand the "logic" behind the ruling if the SC was still a liberal majority, but this just shouldn't happen with a CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY. All the hosts on 630 AM WMAL, especially Mark Levin, who came up with the term "Supreme Politburo", are mad as heck at the SC for doing this, and so am I...
Now for something unrelated...

earthquake activity in nevada/california is fast approaching 300 quakes in the last week (up from around 250 when the sun was quiet)
Today has seen a swarm of earthquakes near the salton sea which frequently sees these swarms.
33 deg. 14.7 min. N (33.245N), 116 deg. 2.3 min. W (116.038W)- coordinates of recent swarm including a 4.3
Yesterday another 33 deg. area of southern california experienced notable weather a lot of lightning and some rain,
this area is near mt. palomar to the west of the salton sea.
On a lighter note, 13,000 pot plants found growing on mt. Palomar- story from earlier this month.

some very nice plants. http://www.10news.com/news/9352796/detail.html

One of you friends at church did NOT make that up...the appelation for NSA has been around for a long time.
And your apellation of Supreme Politburo is BS, youth. You know not of what you speak only the extreme propaganda of the radio.
That's what's so evil about this administration...they have so many people so fooled. Rome is burning about you John. As the Grateful Dead lyric goes "Ya got two good eyes, but you're too blind to see".

I just dunno, V. You really believe all that?
sunking, if you're referring to the Condi affair with Bush, I believe it. In fact the report makes me feel vindicated because I'd been saying it to my friends for four or five years. Their body language was been giving it away for quite some time.

http://www.eepybird.com/dcm1.html#featured-video
Interesting article. Cissell makes some sense in his final statement, too.
Still, seems hard to believe that a jet hit the Pentagon, simply based on the "4 planes, 2 holes in the ground with no recognizable debris and no bodies" theory.
I wonder if anyone has thought to, essentially, crash a plane with crash dummies (or cadavers?) at speed and compare the results?
hmmmm...V, then maybe it's Laura and Condi!?!?!
:)
Nothing about the shuttle program or the space station makes sense to me any more.
It all seems to me to be a show for the viewing public.
When I see civilians working with models and clearly practicing anti-gravity and demonstrating knowledge of scalar EM emitters, I really wonder how long they can go on with the shuttle fascade?
This shuttle story etc. is clearly not where our technology is at.
Its a lower level public presentation for the masses.
Even the space station in Neo is in the wrong place and consumes unneccessary energy to maintain its orbit. The Lagrange points have been known for a while. They have none of the problems the current location for the space station has. L4 and L5 are especially optimum.
So, why this continued presentation/use of these backwards shuttles and a space station that can't stay afloat?
Other than entertaining the public eye and being a visible icon, I am not riveted to their story anymore.
It has become too obviously a 'pose', not quite fake but not the real deal.
It isn't a great leap of anyone's imagination to consider that we already have been up there for some time now, in a much much more serious way than we are being shown.
As RCH once said about them, "wanting to keep us down on the farm". A great secret of low grade normalcy packaged and broadcast for the 'public' consumer mind.
We all saw significant patents and other examples last year that clearly would suggest things are
way beyond this current faux show we are getting.
Warp drive engines from 1960? 46 years ago...hello?!
An example of real large scale anti-grav tests in the 70's and one notable one from 1988. The last one still getting close to 20 years ago.
As I get e-mails and web browse on my Treo650 and consider how many computers I have upgraded in just 20 years, I question the boogaboo about Nasa's Launches and the bad technology and organizational descision making that is apparently endangering these iconic pilots and mission people.
Perhaps the real porduct is to captivate the public, with fear and fixation. Glued to a story, keep em looking the other way, or at least looking up.
Its almost as bad as CNN today wasting our time telling us about a parking lot owner and his experience of the tragic floading in the Eastern U.S.
Telling us how his garbage dumpster floated away. WTF!? Thats core news?
Are we amusing ourselves to death or deathing ourselves to amuse?
Welcome to the fear filled buffet. Distracting us from what really and truly matters in the big picture.
Time for a Total Recall.
Time to Transcend the Illusion.
wakey wakey...
Anyone ever consider these orbiters around Mars and perhaps now Venus are serving more than just taking nice pictures of a strange planet(sarcastic simplification)?
Laser transmission at what? 10mps if I recall? ...or more.
Thinking outside their box, I toss out the idea that maybe MRO and all the rest known and unknown 'satelites' serve perhaps to join up a larger scale broadcast network for various communications+ oversight on these planets.
Are we already there in residence or perhaps just laying/establishing infrastructure to exercise proper control when we do make that step in numbers from here to there?
Hey, can my cell phone work on Mars to phone home for messages? 10mbps or better via laser says yes. Maybe our bro Bohemia knows the real data speed? Maybe so fast its like a mosquito-ringing in your ears. he he he! :)(cheers Bo)
Just a musing a thought.
Ciao.
Playing further with this thought of the quiet establishment of communications structure in advance of a greater disclosure or simply a secret expansion of the humankind to elsewhere.
I stumbled on this link from previous and felt it worth sharing again.
http://www.cds.caltech.edu/~shane/superhighway/description.html
This deals with a profoundly cool concept called The Interplanetary Superhighway-IPS
ya IPS, kind of 'familiar'?. hmmm
from the site: "This ancient and giant labyrinth around the Sun is generated by the Lagrange points of all of the planets and satellites within the solar system."
"The Interplanetary Superhighway is based on a mathematical concept known as invariant manifolds (the tubes). Invariant manifolds are a part of dynamical systems theory (chaos theory) created by Poincar頩in his celebrated study of the three body problem in the late nineneenth century."
Worth a look at. What is clever too, is this recurring hint towards all these 'triangulation' premises. Like Bohemia spoke of earlier etc.
This is quite a step beyond my initial thoughts on locations for orbital platforms inspired by remarks from Alvin Toffler in his book "War and Anti War" speaking about the Lagrange points.
Interesting points, Ion! Some real headscratchers!!!

Sunking, Greetings, excelent Blog, many thanks for your work, got me tickling my brain from that. Kudos
SSL4000g, Wayne! Hey friend, wow great musical correlation. Roger Waters eh? Cool coming from them that knew the 'Dark Side of the Moon'.
Alternative 3- good one, makes sense, fits the time lines we have heard too.
Well, I haven't got a gold ticket and I couldn't afford that funky $78 million dollar sub, so I guess I better spiritually work on getting in to heaven instead! lol
Re: the graveyard shift
I wrapped that up and just finished my last treo. It was a cool six months. Tough though, that much physical through the night with mediocre day sleep, compounded with horse responsibilities, was a little too much.
Tks for your thoughts bro, good to be with you all.
Thanks ion, glad you're here too. Check out the Gabbly link that darkwood posted. Nice digs there.

I was laffing about theat, too, Bubba. Hey.

Gonna shower and shave and take a drive down to KSC for the launch. Right now, 60% it will launch, based on WX conditions.
Howdy, all! I dunno if anybody might have been watching ABC last night, but they ran a very interesting 20/20 special titled 'State of the Union: The Big Sort'. It was a refreshingly unbiased piece discussing the accelerating political polarization going on here in the US. What I found most interesting in the report were some very telling comments along the lines of "more political polarization now than in the days and weeks leading up to the Civil War". Now, where I sit, I really don't see the kind of vehemence on the street level that would suggest a shitload of violence about to break, but it would seem that some would have us think exactly that. Disconcerting, to say the least.
As far as the Shrub/Condi tabloid stories go, I'm not sure if the truth of the stories are quite as important as the fact that a LOT of Shrub's 'fundamentalist' base tend to believe the tabloids and take just about anything they have to say as gospel truth, regardless. Whether true or not, if those rags keep running those stories, well, could have some interesting consequences, nonetheless....I certainly hope so, anyway. >:-P
Ian, VERY interesting remarks concerning potential unknown purposes for the Mars sats. Definitely something to consider. Also makes me wonder how those rovers be doing as I haven't heard anything 'bout 'em for awhile. Considering the near Keystone Kops grade performance we seem to get outta NASA so often, does it not strike anyone as just a tad bit odd what an almost unprecedented success those rovers have been? It's the otherwise piss poor NASA track record that makes it plausible that they be getting some hands on maintenance somehow. Now, whether that be that we already on Mars or whether that be 'cause those rovers really out inna Mojave somewhere...I couldn't say. But perhaps y'all see what I mean. Anyone care to discuss?

Hey crew, from WMR;
"July 1, 2006 -- A former top Defense Department official has told WMR that he fears the Bush administration will pull off another "911" before the November election. The official stated that the next 911 will be used as a pretext for shipping U.S. citizens of Middle East descent to mass detention camps, establish martial law, impose strict censorship, and finally eliminate the power of the Congress and the Supreme Court over the president. "The next 911 will be much more like the Reichstag fire in terms of creating a dictatorship," said the official."
Stay aware, could be 1933 all over again.

Darkwood,
I went to that link you offered for Gabbly-chat and I am flagged as "iontruo2" now there.
Thanks to SSL4000g for the nudge-suggestion! I can also be found from time to time through MSN messenger too.
Thanks for your comments re: the contemplation of these orbiters being used for a broader function than the current televised version.
What struck me when I was on satelite internet through Direcway was that these other 'satelites' like MRO are in many respects not unlike a broadcast sat. and the newest data rates are pretty high volume and speed. I remember seeing the reference to the newest method being via laser.
Other studies I have been doing revolve around the Lagrange points and the premise of multiple satelites involved in formation flying.
Again, little details that keep pointing to the higher level of technical knowledge and activity beyond the story telling we get at this civilian level in most basic news snippets. Its all too shallow.
More to explore on that thought I guess.
P.S. please refer to my call name iontruo2 or ion, o.k.?
Crypto seems to have a problem adressing people properly here, and others will not recognize who is being spoken to.

Great Post Wayne,
That scenario has been popping up from time to time in other places as well. The biggest problem the administration has to overcome now is whether anybody believes them or not. Then they'd have to get someone to enforce the martial law. If the Pentagon knows it's all bullshit they may make him walk the plank
One can only hope.
How's the weather there. We had a clear day earlier, but high haze took over. Now it's mostly clouds and windy. No CT's that I can see. Nice breeze though.

Here was title to a pdf I sourced that was fairly dry technical, but adds to my growing mix of content that if nothing else, points squarely at the level of knowledge being well beyond the low grade info the public is presented with.
Perturbation Analysis for Spacecraft Formations Near the
Earth-Moon Triangular Libration Points
It just seems to me the common stories are too stripped down and sterilized. Junky little shuttle with tiles falling off, barely getting up and back from fairly simple taxi missions by a bunch of bumbling "Mr. Magoo's" a NASA, just doesn't wash after a while.
Over-dramatizing that a few astronauts could or 'might' die in their work or missions is just media feed for the inflation of fear. Pure puppeteering. Dispicable.
These are just some thought threads I am following, playing with this consideration of a larger scale of our existence we are just being kept nicely ignorant of. There is lots of deeper content out there, when one looks for it as a civilian. What I am finding seems way beyond,or certainly more advanced, than the trivial media stories we get peddled to us.
iows. Like the politics, don't accept it as it appears.

Clear with haze. That makes sense doesn't it. Nice breeze, humidity is low. Thanks for the kuds, yu have a happy4th too. :)

Ion,
Agree completely with your thoughts on being fed trivial nonsense most of the time. But it sure is better than the 60's and 70's when we had no alternative access to the news, but what was fed us on the three major networks. At least we can communicate now with other like minds and go to alternative news outlets on the web.

well,
wifey and I drove 3 hours down to Space View Park down in Titusville, Fl, to see the shuttle...then the scurvy dogs didn't launch. Can't figure why cuz the WX was fine...sure, a few clouds in the sky but nothing that lookd threatening, especially over the Cape.
All I got was a lousy STS121 Tshirt! lol!
But an interesting drive, down 17 and up US1 and A1A. The Flagler Beach area was beautiful, had dinner overlooking the Atlantic there. After being locked up at home for 2 weeks recovering from foot surgery, was nice to take a road trip. It was a good day. Seeing a launch would have made it perfect, but it was perfect enough anyway.
Hi all...
Sunking, thanks. I didn't know that that nickname for the NSA wasn't new...
V, you said...
"BTW, is ther anybody out there who believes that the NSA CAN'T extract data from a computer and send it back looking like it's never been touched ?"
I do. You can never completely erase your tracks from a computer. If data was extracted by the person who took it, there's gonna be a record of it somewhere...
I saw that "Bush and Condi affair" story in a supermarket tabloid a few weeks ago. If it were true, EVERYBODY would be talking about it (especially MSNBC, CNN, and "See-BS")...
Iontruo2, right now, the only thing that I know of that can do the job of completing the ISS is the space shuttle. I'm sure that when someone makes a heavy-lift (meaning space shuttle capacity) antigrav thing, that NASA will want a few of those...
Bubba hyde, I'm glad I made you laugh with the "Supreme Politburo" thing (even if I didn't come up with that name). Btw, and this is a quote from Rush's opening statements on his show after the Viagra incident, here's what he had to say about it...
"I have no idea how Bob Dole's luggage got on the plane..."
and a bit later...
"I told the doctor that I was worried about the next ELECtion..."
Sunking, that's cool that you were going to see the launch. Btw, Sunday, July 2, 3:28PM EST is the next launch date...

Good report Sunking.. I chalk this up to what Bush said in his "I am the decider" speech. Remember the part where he says he reads the front page of the newspapers? Well, what he meant to say is that he looks at the pictures and the headlines "above the fold". Apparently a Discovery launch aka tragedy would not be needed as Osama and dozens dead in Baghdad would suffice to move the "agenda" and they could save the Discovery story
Boh...Could you elaborate a bit on this thing called the "window for launch" particularily since that window was a mere 10 minutes?
Are there "other" variables besides trajectory and space docking going on. There is always this thing called a "window" but never an explanation of why this is an issue.
Thanks, Eric.
Well, not a GREAT report, nothing scientific. Interesting thought re: ! tragedy is enough'. hmmmm.
Funny, last night I asked Boh about the 'window' issue, specifically what are the dates/times of those windows. Awaiting response.
The newsies were going on about thunderstorms and anvil clouds after reporting the launch scrubbed due to wx....there were no anvils...I know...I WAS THERE! lol. And I was so hoping to being able to bring back some homegrown....launch pitures!

I would say that perhaps NASA does have some organizational problems etc., but if Sword was true and other info I have seen about a parallel Titan program that was 15 years ahead of the other guys, then I am drawn to wonder if NASA is the semi-junior level space program serving the public profile or certainly acting as a "farm league" for the higher levels.
Mac Totally agree with ya there. Even though a good bit of the large scale news feed is mimicked by the others, we are seeing more diversity creeping in. The one that gets my goat is CNN in general. Astoundingly trivial grade six level story telling. Sure there is a need for simple stuff, but at the National level premiere profile?
I had read somewhere that a while after the first Gulf War their viewership had plummeted. I don't have a favourite source but I guess smart people went elsewhere for more sensible intelligent reporting. Your is well taken, dude.
Sunking Bummer on the launch trip! :) But hey, quality time with the 'wifey' on a road trip is always good. My wife and I have had some of our best talks together when on 3-4 hour trips. Kind of peaceful and undistracted in the car, makes for good intimacy, yup. Cheers.
John YES, I'm sure NASA would want a few of those larger vehicles. Yet we have seen a link to the news about the "new and improved anti-gravity ship" and we can view pdf's about work being done on improving "spacecrafts flying in formation at the libration points". Yes, plural, spacerafts in formation.
AS much asa ISS stirs my enthusiasm greatly and seems quite beautiful, the most significant location just out of site is Libration point L2. It is optimum for a station and launching point for missions further out. I have found some details hinting further at that premise but locations L4 and L5 are even better for more permanent 'platforms' or bases because they are locations of near perfect balance.
All we can do is speculate and rummage a bit but it is promising to see the potential that mankind is doing better at this than most have been lead to believe.

Titan=Saturn's Moon? or, Missile? Wow, 15 years, that's not very much ahead in the great scheme of things. The "L" points, very plausible. Lots of things could go on from Earth to the Lagrange(?) points, orbit there, and we would never know it. Just look at sk's report re:anvils. He was there, no anvils. However, I will concede that a report on the radio said that even if the clouds are on the W coast of FL they can still call a launch. Might be a point worth checking sk.
It's all good, hope some folks are lazing it this wkend. I'm putting in the time a bit. :( Gotta do what ya gotta do. :)

Re the launch window:
I wonder how fast the launch pad is moving through space. My dad trained me to target roadside objects with my slingshot while he drove us along at varyious speeds.
I look forward to Bo's response about launch window.
Maybe a limited window is partly about fuel consumption ? I used to wonder why they have to re-enter fast and hot. A NASA engineer told me it was only because of fuel, ie to slow down would require as much fuel as it took to launch.
Hi Uni
The record is 4days 17h 28min

What collided with a balloon ?

once upon at time, I looked up the newspapers from the Roswell days.
Its been a while, but if I recall, it was first reported as a flying disc or whatever term they used then to describe ufo. Then I think the next day they put out the weather balloon story.

Not a collision, but that a balloon simply came down and got mistaken for wreckage and little people, some dead, some still alive.

I'm having a lot of internet connection problems again at home, so I'm surprised it's actually working this time. A few quick comments before this thing drops out again. The modem's fine, its the provider...
The dual purpose of Mars orbiters: That's quite an idea and makes perfect sense if there turns out to be more than just pieces of sensor technology roaming the planet. Very interesting. Has this been explored in any great depth anywhere I can read more about?
Regarding Bush/Condi: I find it highly plausible because it so fits the hypocrisy Bush and his ilk typically serve up regarding public morality. To oversimplify, much like the hypocrisy of those impeached Clinton who were then revealed to have been conducting their own extramarital affairs.
The shuttle: I think this dragging out of the launch is all just part of the Game. Whether it's a ritual alignment out of whack or the need to provide distraction from the latest from Herr Decider just look around and see what else is going on while the shuttle launch drama continues.
I offer this:

How utterly predictible! Whenever the neo-cons are involved the big election con is on!
C2C does need some kind of watchdogging. The decline of C2C has been long noted here and my complaints about the programme also previously recorded. I only listen when I see what the subject is going to be and who is discussing it. My interest in the paranormal goes beyond subjects discussed here and while I am interested in listening to discussion regarding psychic phenomena, ghosts, etc., some of the guests have been nothing less than ridiculous. Unfortunately, listening to better radio shows either requires a fast internet connection or a really powerful AM radio. But they are there to be found if only on the local level.

Blurbage;
"The full importance of the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Hamdan vs Rumsfeld took a little time to sink in. Military tribunals to try suspects at Guantanamo Bay were found to be illegal. The administration had breached both American law and the Geneva convention on the treatment of prisoners. The lesson is that even in times of war America is run, not by a president, but by a constitution."

Well, "Discovery" didn't go up yesterday :(. I hope and pray that it goes up on July 4, because that would be the coolest thing. All these delays just strengthen my belief that we don't have weather control technology, because if we did, it'd be a relatively simple matter of clearing the skies in a 20 mile radius around KSC so they could launch...

...Or, (b) this is the aliens way of saying, "we're watching you" ... but crash sites are rarely chosen with such deliberateness of intent. It does open up other questions about possible intent : like, were the aliens planning on landing at Roswell and got shot down ?
(((Crypto))) here's another possibility, one that I've always found interesting.
Bruce Cathie's research pointed to aliens flying ufos along the grid corridors. He noted ufo activity (including his own fascinating sighting of a ufo flying into the ocean) ran along this grid system and surmised that they used the elec/magnetic fields as their propulsion system.

(((mac))), I'm going to take a look at that. 43 kts! Wow, faster than any catamarans that I've seen.
Went out windsurfing today and yesterday (yesterday I played hooky from a wedding because the winds were up)
Today there were a couple of gusts over 20 mph. My best runs were defineately under 43 kts. Hands are raw
from holding on to the boom.
We are still getting monsoonal moisture welling up over the mountains and humidity levels above normal. The
main thing w/ the buildup of clouds and rains over mountain areas is that it's much earlier than normal and
it is persisting. Last summer we also had higher than average monsoonal activity which led one meteorologist
to say that it's as if the SW monsoon systemal had relocated 300 miles to the west. Seems like the same condition
is happening this year, pretty far out of the ordinary for end of June/early July too as we usually see this
system occasionally effect us in late July, Aug. and early Sept.
For the plane trail watchers, this morning I saw fresh trails over the mountains. The same route that residents in some small mountain communities have been complaining about and one that is DEFINEATELY not a commercial route EVER. First time that I've seen any trailing (contrails or chemtrails) in several weeks. Didn't see trailing coming from any of the commercial plane corridors today at all but as the sun set it looked like there had been more trails way off on the horizon.
(((bohemia))) Question for you regarding HAARP. Would other countries be able to detect when HAARP ramps up

though.

John
eric,
No, I was not wearing a red hat. And note that I was across the way over in Titusville at Space View Park...Not on KSC, if that was what you were thinking.
Bryan,
No, did not try again on Sunday. It's a 3 hour drive if you take I95S, vs the scenic routes I took saturday. I took a shot at seeing it Saturday...and missed, alas.
Now it looks like 2:38 EDT on the 4th is the nex window. They are looking at a crack in the foam. this may delay things further. the 19th is their last window in the current configuration.
Boh, thanks for the insight on launch windows!
John,
July 4th is one of NASA's 'ritual' dates...may have been the goal all along. Makes for good PR, too...if all goes well.
Bush cuts EPA Library budget.

Hi all...
Sunking, I thought of the PR factor here, but just recently (within the last 10 minutes) I saw on Fox News that there is a small crack in the foam under a bracket that keeps a pipe on the external tank clamped down, and that there COULD be a few days delay (or, it could be easily fixable on the launchpad)...
Oh yes, apparently, Israel has 11 hrs to free some 1,000 prisoners before all heck breaks loose...
John
John,
see my 11:18 post re: foam crack
Yes, hearing the latest story on the prisoners. Methinks it will be the Israelis unleashing all heck, tho. Overall, a most unsettling situation.
Ah, I see. I need to stop watching this "Twighlight Zone" marathon on Sci-Fi, and pay more attention to the news. And you're right, Israel's gonna be the one unleashing heck. I heard that there's no way that they're gonna release those prisoners. Might be some pre-4th fireworks tonight...
John
cool, thanks Boh!
yeah, well those kind of fireworks lead to dead people. Let's hope the call off THAT display!
bohemia,
Hoping you might be able to
shed some light on HAARP for me.
Would other countries/groups be able to detect when HAARP ramps up
their output power? Would they know that HAARP is being used, I believe that you recently said HAARP is always
on but it seems that other countries would be trying to determine HAARP useage. Is it possible for HAARP's signal
to actually be traced to specific locations? It seems that it might
be hard to monitor those frequencies effectively but I'm not sure.
Thanks for the ISS info !
Bryan
Sunking..speaking about "good PR"..The elm tree that was downed on the White House lawn prolly wasn't good PR so the only footage of it was restricted from off ground. Not to worry. The same tree is on the back of the $100 bill "Lest we Forget".
Turns out the anvil clouds were building at the emergency landing site and not the launch site.

Ssl4000g, I'm praying for good weather for 2:38PM tomorrow. I'm glad that they said the launch was still on. I don't think that having the shuttle go up on Independence Day is a PR stunt. Here's why; This is THE DECISIVE LAUNCH for the shuttle program. If "Discovery" is lost, the program's shut down. There is currently no other vehicle that can finish building the International Space Station, which means NASA has GOT to keep the shuttle flying. The shuttle is 20-year old technology that's been plagued with recent problems. NASA's got a heckuva lot more important things to worry about than turning this into a PR stunt. IF it were a PR stunt, that would probably mean that there would be no problems with the foam, tiles, etc. This is not the case, as this recent crack in the foam on the external tank proves. A good PR stunt requires that the party doing it has control over everything. NASA clearly has no control over cracks in the foam, or thruster heat sensor malfunctions, etc. If they wanted this to be a successful PR stunt, they would have announced the initial launch date as July 4th, not July 1st. Also, there'd be no problems with the shuttle, thus showing that NASA completely fixed the problems. Since neither of these conditions were met, I can be 99% sure that this isn't a PR stunt...
John
A better way to put it is like this...
Which of these 2 scenarios sounds like a successful PR stunt?...
1. After a year to work on "Discovery", NASA comes out and announces that it has completely fixed all the problems with the shuttle. The initial shuttle launch date is set for July 4th, and the shuttle is rolled out to the launch pad. On July 4th, the skies are clear, and the shuttle launches without any problems. Its mission is a huge success, and the landing is spectaculary perfect. All this puts the shuttle back on track...
OR...
2. After a year to work on "Discovery", NASA comes out and announces that they hopefully fixed the problems with the foam and tiles. The shuttle launch date is set for July 1st, and the shuttle is rolled out to the launch pad. On July 1st, weather scrubbs the launch, so NASA moves it to July 2nd. Same problem with July second, weather cancelling the launch. NASA then puts the launch date for July 4th, hoping that they can launch...

Thanks for the answer bo, really interesting addendum.
Another question if you don't mind, I thought you mentioned HAARP creating
excess energy, couldn't it be tweaked to be an energy source? Wouldn't that
be one of the greatest uses of HAARP? In your opinion/experience, is that flow
of energy predictible or controllable enough to be used as an energy source?
There is very little doubt in my mind that haarp now has devastating capabilities
sounds like beaming from satellites will be the really
good stuff, drool inducing. If Eastland were a guy I'd respect, he would have had
some restless nights thinking about where this technology could be devastatingly applied,
though it was coming / possible w/ out him.
V that question you asked Crypto about Jerusalem got me wondering if the
underground imaging has been done? That we know of?
Back in the RCH days there was blogging here about a new wonderful imaging tool that
can penetrate underground with great results. Seems like
underground would have to be imaged to know what might be there.
Or is that technology only affordable to the oil ratbastards and military ?
How did Osama escape us in Tora Bora? Who get's to write the history books
on all the shit thats been going down, or write the definitive take on strangeness of 911?
Wow, boggles me.
A toast to the f-shod, may this independence day be filled with
the American people stretching their minds and to get fiesty about all the current
corruptions! My hope is enough Americans think deeply about things of significance,
too many take a little tiny peek in and decide they don't want to know, or get depressed
or get frightened, something. I hope more get fiesty, shove the door wide open.
Really think about it, maybe not buy that national enquirer, take the time to contemplate,
get busy righting the ship.
Maybe americans could organize a boycott of all mass
media for a time period, and demand a more organic focus and a
ceasing of fake news and celeb lust. Then again, I did hear that
Jessica Simpson is dating now.
Why can't the real stories be plastered all over the media in America, CNN,
Time Magazine, ABC news, Times Square.
Today at work listened to a couple of people discussing the homes they'd like
to have or their next homes w/ great walk in closets and huge ultra-sit down, body length
side blasting showers that are also steam baths, they were getting so titilated talking
about it that I had to do it.
I interrupted them this way, "hey guys. 1.6 billion on this planet
don't have any access to electricity and 1.2 billion can't get any clean
water!" That was all I said, They laughed, cause you know what can you
do. Crazy world.

Does the weather channel have the right to call itself the hurricane authority...
Well, turns out that they've been doing this for 25 years, so yes, they certainly do have
that right. ...absolutely Thanks Jim Cantori, simply beautiful.
. I mean I wouldn't have been too upset if Donald Rum had gotten a re-assignment after that known known unknown knowables that we don't know, that we know thing lol. Happens all the time elsewhere.
who believes 'we' wanted to catch osama, let alone believes he was the perp ?

John,
It is called drama.
----------------
Damn right, boh. I've been keeping quiet these few days, watching the entries here. since no one asked, I guess I'll have to do it:
So who's the script-writer, this mysterious "X"?? Or shall we have to, hmmm, "stay tuned" :D
Someone asked whether HAARP can be monitored.
Here's HAARP's very own report on its tests.

The modified-SCUD mud turn out to be a dud, but this much I'll grant the North Koreans..they understand penis-envy.
John, don't get soo worked up over the Shuttle drama. Enterprisemission.com isn't even bothered to give us another "seat gripping" write-up this time. what does that tell us?
RCH doesn't really bother?
unipax said..who believes 'we' wanted to catch osama, let alone believes he was the perp ?
Way too many apparently.
Thanks mainstream media, thanks a lot!
she's off !
2600 mph
Yeah, 3rd time, Boh. Pretty launch. News conference on NASA TV right now...some saw bits of foam fall off, Nasa brass saying "let us do the engineering analysis". Fair enough.
Griffin is surely not an inspired speaker.
Went our in my driveway, got to see the plume about 10 minutes into the launch...I guess it takes a bit to float up-coast. Got my STS121 t-shirt on. Wife says I'm a dork...I said "I'm YOUR dork, baby!"
John,
Apollo suffered because the flights went off without a hitch so many times, it became boring. Using the 'drama' and suspense of a possible failed launch, or heaven forbid, a catastrophe, is how you get people interested and looking...and maybe funding?
lol sunking! That T-shirt rocks ! Cool that u can see the plume. It was a cool launch.
Watching now, had to cheer the parade that passed my door as I wasn't going to miss it.
I'll catch up on tha food later.
3rd time... nasa press conference noted that the next launch will
be in the afternoon, but no dates or numbers yet available.
lol, Ill have to get a pic of t tshirt. we doing nothing today, daughters all doing something else. Wifey's making me fried chicken and potato salad, and an All Amurrican bananna puddin'.
Happy July 4Th American friends!
Congrats on the launch today as well. A coincidence of Entamenenki'an proportions. I can't wait to see what Goro makes of it.
Crypto Good suggestion re: Dan Akroyd. I'm very fond of him and thoroughly enjoyed his role in The Avro Arrow story.
I don't think his being Canadian would matter. He is well recognized elswhere for his works. Hey, Ghostbusters! O.k. maybe not that one. lol
I had the great joy to catch him make a cameo appearance and duet with the Blues Travellers, at The Roadside Attraction (with the Tragically Hip). Man, he could play the harmonica, it was 'a magic moment' shining in the rain.
He would be an excellent alternate to Richard Hoagland, perhaps even more 'acceptably' credible to the masses.
My directtv sat. has lost the nasa channel,
message that there's no need to call them and
that they'll have this channel back as quickly as possible.
Prior to it going off it was hiccuping and halting a lot.
All the other channels are fine.
Anyone else not able to get NASATV?

Hi all...
I haven't read any recent comments, because I wanna catch the fireworks on TV (and have a nice, unobstructed view of them), so please forgive me if I say stuff that's already been said...
First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!! :)
We had a lot of fireworks around the world today. "Discovery" blasted off safely, thank God, in the best fireworks display I've seen in a while. Israel launched fireworks on top of Hamas. And North Korea proved that it's helping to promote the growth of coral in the Sea of Japan by creating six new artificial reefs...
More later, fireworks now...
John
Hi again...
I saw the D.C. fireworks, which were ok. Then I switched over to the GOOD STUFF, the Macy's fireworks show in NYC. That show was SOOO much better than the D.C. one...
Bubba hyde, I stand corrected. I forgot that it was built in the late 70s. The sad thing is that I should have remembered, because I have a documentary of Man's space ventures up to the mid-80s (it's called "Conquest", and unfortunately it's not on dvd, but I have a TV with a vcr up in my room)...
Sunking, from watching the documentary mentioned above over and over and over and over, I remember that only 2 Apollo capsules had trouble (Apollo 1, and Apollo 13). I'm still amazed that we built them that well back in the 60s, when we didn't even have decent computers. Are you saying that in order for the space program to continue, there have to be accidents and loss of life?...
One more thing, I heard that there's been a missile attack by Hamas in the Holy Land. I don't remember exactly where, but it was somewhere pretty important in Israel...
John
Oh, bryansail, I don't get NASA TV. We don't have the dish, we have cable...
John
Hey Bo,
I wuz wonderin about shuttle's acceleration...like if there were a table showing altitude, time and speed ?
Fer example:
speed: 20 knots, altitude: ? time after liftoff: ?
speed: 50 knots, altitude: ? time after liftoff: ?
speed: 100 knots etc etc
speed: 500 knots etc etc
speed: 1000 knots
etc
etc
up to maximum speed, altitude, time after liftoff
Saw that v, pretty outrageous, eh?
Wayne
Hi all...
Well, I'm watching NASA-TV on space.com, and it looks like they're getting ready to use that arm extension to check the tiles. If y'all wanna see that, go here...

I just found out that North Korea launched a 7TH missile. For details, go here...

I wonder if he pees in the pool if he gets separated from his porta-pottie-police.
I downloaded 71 pix from my camera yesterday. You know..usual stuff..chemtrails and clouds June 26-July 4, 2006; garden pix, forest fire smoke, some family and friends.. Anyway.. 5 of 71 contained UFO's.. visit Ride a Pale Horse and call me a loser.

Neat pix, ericswan. The last one with that dark line thing was the best...

Weather control:
Just happened to watch a Discovery Channel story on this.
Con-trails have been recommended as a way of modifying the amount of sunlight bearing upon the sea. This will perhaps help change the classic style of hurricane formations.
Superconducting microwave-cannon type satellites well well, boh. you're obviously in the "inner track". To be used to re-channel solar power and fired at a hurricane for the purpose of disrupting/dissipating the energy patterns inside.
Hurricane research is being pioneered down at Florida.
I think this news will remove the "conspiracy factor" from contrails and HAARP.
...layed to rest V?
The Foundation Stone of Jerusalem.
V, u usked if anyone has thought of digging up the whole city just to find it. Perhaps there is no need.
Who's in Hawaii? Brian? The Government Offices of Hawaii were suspected to have been built on King Kamehameha 1's palace.
I remember reading an article this year, where side-scan radar showed that, yes, the foundation *is* the King's palace. The outlines of the rooms, burial chambers, etc, were seen.
