Explosive Mysteries Galore

Recently, while doing"Jager Bombs" with some colleagues at a local watering hole, our red-faced selves started discussing the many mysteries and other subjects are are not really discussed. A couple colleagues are die-hard Astronomers and track nearly everything that floats by ("Astronomers *do it* in the dark; Physicists *do it* with force, and Cosmologists *do it* with the Universe").
At some point between the fifth and nth "Jager Bomb," we moved to a vaguely coherent discussion on all the recent mystery explosions worldwide and their possible causes:
- hyperdimensional aliens revving up their spacecraft hot rods;
- maximum ultra-souped-up "glass pack" mufflers, Earth-shaking speakers, complete with rap music and wheel spinners...just to shame us?
- meteors streaking across the sky and vanishing in a >BOOM - time ripples in space (kind-a like a speed bump)?
Whatever the case is, we know:
- very seldom were seismic detectors set-off
- rarely were there other explanations (like air force training planes causing sonic booms, power explosions, thunder, etc...)
- very infrequently was there any visible activity seen in the sky during these occurrences
- rarely was anything found
- almost always no damage was reported
So, with these thoughts and discussions echoing in my hung-over head, I submit the following mysterious explosions and wonder "What could be the cause(s)?":

Jun 30, 1908: A colossal flash lit up the sky over Tunguska, Siberia, followed by an explosion with the power of a thousand atom bombs, Now believed to be caused by a UFO. (Sunking's Note: This theory does seem to be revived and debunked annually!?!)
Dec 7, 2000: Mystery Of The Fireball From The Salisbury, New Hampshire Sky Deepens. STILL UNRESOLVED! ("Electric Universe" theory support)
Apr 20, 2001: Mystery Boom Rocks Queensland, Australia
Jan 24, 2002: Mystery Trench In Wales Caused By Lightning Strike, Not Meteorite Fall. Very powerful lightning. Related story here.

LOS ANGELES
-- How long would it take for someone to notice if you vanished from the face of the earth? In one case, it took local authorities 11 days, even after they found a body.
"911. What is your emergency?"
"Yes, I am on the 1-10 Freeway and I saw this man standing there, then when I turned around, I didn't see him anymore. I think he jumped."
A man did jump. He jumped 35 feet wearing nothing but a pair of designer pants. No shoes. No shirt. No identification.
At the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, the body lay unclaimed for 11 days.
At that time, a woman stepped forward with a photo of the dead man. A frantic search had been launched, even a missing person's report filed on Dec. 5, six days after the man had vanished.
Fingerprints confirmed what a family dreaded the most. The dead man was one of their own: Manuel Salvador Esquivel.
Esquivel was a 37-year-old engineer at NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory in
Pasadena, Calif. Esquivel was a graduate of Cal-Tech and received his MBA from Stanford.
According to his family, Esquivel spent 17 years working for NASA - JPL in the deep space satellite communications network. While science was his calling, music was his passion.
Esquivel spent his time in Los Angeles' salsa scene. 'Belinda' a salsa dancer said, "He was always happy and making friends." But Esquivel's family said that salsa led him astray. They claim it happened during a trip Esquivel made to Cuba last November to attend a festival.
Cary Podell is a tour organizer. Podell told NBC4, "He was not part of our tour. Ours was a legal trip approved by Washington. His was not."
Esquivel went to Cuba via Mexico on Nov. 22 and returned seven days later. He arrived at Los Angeles International Airport.
No one from his family got a phone call. Maria Esquivel said this about her brother, "This was not like him. He always called us when he traveled."
It's what Manny Esquivel left behind that makes his family wonder. His car remained in the airport garage.
Esquivel's family wonders how he got from LAX to the place where he died with no clothes on. And where did he spend three days, between the day his ticket says he touched down at LAX, and the day an unidentified caller said he jumped to his death?
The LA Coroner says the cause of death was trauma to the head, but a final ruling is pending results of toxicology tests. (371's note: the results were never released. When the family pressed the issue; the results were returned inconclusive.)
In the meantime, Esquivel's family says not enough has been done.
Rosa Esquivel, Esquivel's sister said, "LAPD botched this case. So did the California Highway Patrol. They thought my brother was just an illegal who killed himself. And that's (why) they didn't investigate what happened." The police have at least one clue as to what happened to Esquivel. Two men, caught on a surveillance camera, who stopped at the El Charro store on Pacific Boulevard in Huntington Park, Calif., charged $250.00 on a credit card that belonged to Manny Esquivel.
The two men have yet to be identified.

The Fine Line of Disclosure:
So, what does it take to get organisations to open up the knowledge vaults. Apparently *VERY* much. Knowledge is power and possessors of certain knowledge can be either esteemed and protected or watched and buggered.
It is not enough to say: "Oh well, it's a mystery. We'll never know." Then throw ones hands in the air and walk away.
Per the "X-Files" tagline: "The truth is out there."
As citizens, I believe, this knowledge or information needs to be released and shared. Burying this in the darkest depths of Ivory Towers is to preserve the information for whom? Couldn't the world really use some new technology break-throughs now? Aside from the obvious power play, the potential for peace and advancement exists. Surely, our globalist leaders are not afraid of that, are they? (sarcastic comment; read with sarcasm).
For all the true, diligent working scientists, researchers, engineers, and other techs, our objective is to share (or show off) and advance our knowledge/information. The strong-arm suppression of TPTB, makes being a TECH much less rewarding.
When I was a nuclear medicine physicist at a large cancer hospital in a small state, my work was more rewarding. Back then, I could see the impact of my knowledge and work. Sometimes, a patient goes into remission. Sure it was stressful and one must guard against becoming too attached. Radiation treatments may be archaic by "Star Trek" standards; but it is all they allow us to have for now. Compared to being stuck as a researcher at a megalithic space organisation where my work gets scrutinised, banned, and basically robbed by MGMT. It is a useless existence. A teacher without students.
To touch a life and enhance a life is the ideal of many I associate with. Consider a painter who is a talented artist, losing her hands and is unable to paint. Such is the situation we find ourselves with new innovations, technology, and discoveries that are collecting dust in a vault in some unknown location; forever trapped under lock and key.
To quote from the NASAWatch web site: "Remember: It's YOUR space agency. Get involved. Take it back. Make it work - for YOU."
There are many on the inside that WANT to work for you, the people. Please give us the chance.

Bohemia, you knock out of the park another well written blog. I find the death of the JPL employee to be very disturbing, all kinds of possibilities come to mind. If NASA is willing to suppress science data why not snuff out scientists who know too much? It seems to me the more we know about NASA the more corrupted we find it has become. I work at a day job where people who believe in their jobs have very low morale, but it's a cakewalk compared to an average day at NASA.

Indeed, some interesting pics from Cassini. Is it just me, or does anybody else sometimes get the heebeejeebees looking at photos of Saturn or the moons?
I find it somewhat awe-inspiring that a machine, controlled from so far away, is able to obtain such great photos, like the solar-eclipse type shots....is Titan so small or does the moon look so large from Saturn? I'd alway thought, IF I thought of it, that the Sun would look more like a largeish star, but those pics make it look almost like it does from Earth....and that CAN'T be right, eh what?

apparently in 1999, his minivan with his remains inside were found at the bottom of Decker Canyon, near Malibu. From this, and one of his final phone calls, it was concluded that he committed suicide, but I see no mention of autopsy results. Didn't look that hard, tho.
'Funny' part about that, is that the road leading into Decker Canyon is called 'Military Intelligence Memorial Hiway' or somesuch name. No coincidence here, move along, move along.....
Well, they said Kramer was found by an outfit looking to film something with some old rusted wrecks at Decker Canyon. So why, in 4 years didn't some observant law enforcemunt type notice the vehicle matching what one would assume to be that in a missing person's/vehicle description.
When dumping a car is THAT convenient, along with a mode of suicide that is MOST inefficient,I become suspicious.
The thing about Jesuits ... they have schools. Especially in Ontario & Quebec, where there are Catholic-run but publicly funded schools. So, there are many people who graduate and consider themselves Jesuits, but they're not "Insiders". They are the ones that the Insiders hide behind.
The $250.000 charged at the store on the deceased's credit card. Standard operating procedure for finding a credit card : charge it once (go big or go home) then, presume the card will be reported missing, the $250.00 charge will be known ... and the fraudsters discard it. I think the credit card was found - and maybe it was deliberately placed where it would be found by the type of people who will run it up.
There should be a rule : when you demand your employees keep trade secrets and 'proprietary information' - there should be no such thing as a suicide. If your company's asset is in someone's rented head - a head that can be drugged, tortured or severed - companies should be FORCED to hire the strong-minded - who won't commit suicide.
We don't distinguish the two - but there is a difference between selling your time by the hour and renting space in your mind. Considering how badly the Chinese want to get into Space and take their place on the world stage (standing on the shoulders of political prisoners) - is any information "safe" ? For Chinese students visiting foreign Universities : gathering information is part of their Student Loan repayment.

I know you know Richard Hoagland, Keith Laney, Myself, Dr. Carlotto, Dr. VanFlandern and others would USE that information and make that information PUBLIC BIG TIME!!!
2. Keep track of these 'missing people' and also send that information to those who would spread that information far and wide and fast.
3. Help those of us out here tap into the Deep Space Network and get the data directly ourselves by providing the software necessary to unsramble the radio signals and process the data ourselves from these probes. Folks like Dr VanFlandern, and maybe even Hoagland can get use of a radio telescope to capture signals and process them WITHOUT going through the Joker Poker Liars club pipeline.
4. As with 'Sword' who says he's on the 'inside' there MUST be opportunities to gather data and information that is NOT public and IS VERY revealing coming across your domain of perception...gather it together, cut DVDs and MAIL THEM OUT TO US OUT HERE !!! Otherwise you are just PART of the problem and NOT part of the solution. This is NOT an 'attack' on you or Sword...but to continue to DO nothing while it is possible to DO something only keeps the status quo in place until TPTB decide its time for YOU to disappear.

Re Sealing the leaks...
Years ago on Art Bell show RCH told of a nasa employee that died suspiciously. I recall that the story was that the man died in a mugging in LA, I think. RCH said it made no sense that the guy was in that particular neighborhood, with his son, I think.
RCH said he was involved in a Mars project, and knew too much,and was speaking up about it.

The suggestion of interception of Deep Space Network data from Mars or other missions INCLUDED the software and instructions on how to tap into that feed by-passing the currently controlled loop through JPL. Until we can bypass or lock out JPL I question the honest integrity of the data we receive.
Even Bohemia's OWN Iepatus data report is being withheld from publication and other data from the spacecraft is being withheld from him for further study and expansion of his theories and ideas. You call this type of behavior 'honest'?
Sword's hint about HAARP is timely since their operations was recently fully returned to the AirForce. Now however one could use a copy of the classified instruction manual of the place. We KNOW one must exist, but how to get hold of one and then copy it to DVD and then send to folks who would leak it to help the 'disclosure' process along. Sunking is on to something with the triad chemtrails, Haarp and scalar. Interesting to note that Haarp is not at 100% just yet. This explains why the chemtrail activity over South Central B.C. does not have the signature I see in posts throughout the U.S. The scalar weapons are more or less geared to earthquake and volcano activity and the Haarp plus chemtrails are basically the star wars tech used for taking out craft with that sporty anti grav technology. This tech never was human tech so get over it...

These are very strong suggestions by Robert. Suggestions that are impossible for those on the outside. This kind of effort requires that someone put their "butt on the line" for it to work. I kind of feel that Bohemia is looking for support in asking about what we should do, "Action?!", I believe this was his question. I have never doubted Robert's veracity in his message as it has been the same since first encountering him on the Cap'ns Blog late last summer. But the bottome line here is that since last summer, what has been happening is just blog talk.
If Bo did as Robert suggests, how would the crewe be involved? Could a crew member be assigned a supportive task? Or, some other such thing? How would the entire thing be co-ordinated and by whom? SK, we have been wondering about our purpose. We have been distracted for quite a while now. Crewe members have been "disappearing" for lack of a better word. Is it time yet?
For those of us not on the inside, supporting someone who is can possibly be an excellent contribution to the "big picture". Discussion is warranted. This is an opportunity to not let go of.

The BEST plan is just to do what it takes to install integrity back into NASA and the science process so we don't have to worry about being faked out.

This unexplained explosion is the Force field wave pushing the air out of the way VERY FAST (and NO a vacum is not produced - think of a colender with really small holes). When it, the EM field is realesed - the pressure and volume equalize back very fast as well. Now one is a thunder clap - and one is a rumble... :-x ;-)

There are similar, and just as large stones, under the Temple Mount as there are at Baalbeck.
Sitchin makes some interesting points in his 'Expeditions' book, and maybe in another book, by raising the question of Why the Temple Mount is so important. How much does the average person know about Jerusalem and the Temple Mount? Yet there is almost daily news from there and the location is of the highest import to millions of people and the 3 'leading' (I may be wrongly stating this) religions of the world...well, at least the 3 leading religions in the ability to start world war and all other manner of grief.
Sitchin's thought is that Jerusalem was the Annunanki Control Center (Houston?) after the flood, that the stones were a required feature of the launchpad facility. Same for Baalbeck, even has an ancient coin showing a shem 'on the pad', the facility easily recognizable from the ruins that exist today.
Temple Mount as Mission Control also fits in with what Crypto says about Jerusalem being the center of land mass...kinda seems like a point in favor of this theory of Sitchin's. Kinda.

I think Robert's suggestion re: Disclosure did not include FSHOD, and perhaps rightly so. What CAN we do with such info? Sure, we could email every media outlet and legislative representative (the collection of such data being one of Roberts long-term projects), but how much of that would be ignored.
No, 'true' revelatory disclosures would have to go to someone with a media presence, someone with resources and contacts and experience. No denying THAT, Robert. ;)
We are what we are. We reach more people that you think. Visitors drop into FSHOD daily. More and more folks are doing Google or MSN searches and an FSHOD blog ro comments is returned by the Search. Then there are other regular visitors/readers. (Welcome, to all, by the way....please stay and contribute!) So maybe we help spread awareness in our own, humble way.
But I agree, we'd need the 'big guns' for a 'big disclosure'. Well...unless some miracle happened.....hmmmmmmm.......

It has driven that story out of the news and has replaced it with "terrorist experts" day after day and number one story after number one story of guys with guns. The global research story was published before the Internet leaked terrorists made the news. Who networks Terrorism over the Internet? Like as if "we" could stumble upon a Terrorist blog? The network news is always very careful not to provide links to these sites. How very prudent of them.

I can understand that, not including FSHOD. If the best we can do is to inhabit our little gigabyte of cyberspace and support people like Robert, Bohemia and any other person on the "quest". Then, so be it!
I wanted to do much more and I understand the tough road it would be from being a "regular joe", for lack of a better term, in getting people to believe.
I know what I am writing seems like a complete flip-flop (an hell, I ain't even in politics! ;) but it was sort of me trying to reach out looking for someone to "let me know" so to speak.
It is frustrating, being able to do so little. But, just being here, as you all are, supporting all who walk our road is good. It is always good to know where you are needed. I actually had a sort of fear over all that stuff. It was that there really would be something that we could do, and my "life' would get in the way and end up letting everybody down. So, in a way I am relieved. And glad to do my little part in FSHOD. Peace...One!

bubba hyde, here's where to look. At the top of the page, there is a white space with "Term, Translation, Skip..." in underlined bold. Directly under the bold "Start End", is a set of red Hebrew letters. Under that is "2 Samuel Ch 3 V 32 Letter 33". Under the word "Letter" is a set of green Hebrew letters, and a little to the right of the green Hebrew letters is the word "iran". It's the same with all the little groups of colored Hebrew letters, they all have the English translations a little to the right of them. I hope that helps...

Bohemia - Thank You for your well written blog topic. Not only have you articulated well, you provided enough diverse sub-topics to pique just about everones interest. Prior to your confession of having been a teacher, I wondered if you had ever considered it. Many of your reasons for being frustrated are the same reasons I am frustrated with our schools. Granted, I do not live in a big city, but I have kids in two different school systems at the present. My oldest is in high school inside the city limits. (Her choice, not ours, due to softball season having already started when we moved), the younger three are in elementary school in the 'rural' school just outside city limits. BIG DIFFERENCE. The city school system practices dumbing down, while the rural one encourages participation, free thinking (if explained coherently) and real learning. My oldest twin loves going to school for the first time in his life. Anyway, the whole reason for me explaining all this is: At one point I attempted to home school the younger three. I used a State approved 'charter school' that was, in a word, FABULOUS. The methods were diverse, but the expectations were high. I wonder if you would find fulfillment in teaching in a virtual environment...Lots of Latitude in method and a great place to really make a difference. Just a thought...for what its worth.

Researchers at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Bronx, NY, have been studying post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children of Holocaust survivors. A major conclusion of these studies is that these children have a higher risk of developing PTSD than other people. In a study presented in the August 2000 The American Journal of Psychiatry, the research group discovered that adult children with at least one parent who is a Holocaust survivor have low cortisol levels. The discovery could mean that low cortisol levels may be predictive of the development of PTSD.
Cortisol is a hormone that scientists associate with stress as well as chronic mood disorders. During times of stress, cortisol levels rise and then subside as the stress subsides. If stress is chronic or if a chronic mood disorder (anxiety, depression) is present, increased cortisol levels may indicate that the brain has become resistant to cortisol's effects, scientists believe.
One may wonder why, then, people with PTSD or the risk of developing PTSD would have lower cortisol levels. The VAMC research group theorizes that with PTSD, the brain may become hypersensitive to the effects of cortisol. The same area of the brain which may resist cortisol in people with chronic mood disorders, the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, appears to work differently in people with PTSD or the risk of having PTSD.
The study performed by the researchers at the VAMC involved 35 adult children of Holocaust survivors and 15 comparison subjects. All subjects were evaluated using various standard questionnaires. To determine whether the subjects' parents had PTSD, parents were interviewed directly (in 11 cases) or subjects completed a questionnaire created by the researchers. To test cortisol levels, urine samples were collected during 24-hour periods during times when subjects did not expect to be under stress.
Using the results of the questionnaire, researchers divided the subjects into three categories:
subjects without lifetime PTSD, whose parents did not have PTSD
subjects without lifetime PTSD, whose parents did have PTSD
subjects with lifetime PTSD, whose parents did have PTSD
Researchers made the following conclusions based on the questionnaires and tests:
Adult children of Holocaust survivors were more at risk of developing PTSD than the comparison subjects, even though lifetime traumatic experiences did not differ between these two groups.
13 of the 35 offspring of Holocaust survivors had lifetime or current PTSD.
25 offspring of Holocaust survivors had at least one parent with PTSD.
Cortisol levels were low in subjects with PTSD and who had a parent with PTSD, but where higher in subjects who had neither.
Ultimately, the researchers were able to determine that the low cortisol levels were associated with parental PTSD rather than the parent's exposure to trauma during the Holocaust. Additionally, the low cortisol levels could be associated with a risk of developing PTSD. Subjects exposed to trauma without developing PTSD did not necessarily have low cortisol levels, so exposure to trauma alone cannot be associated with lower cortisol levels.
The conclusions of the VAMC study will help scientists further understand PTSD and lead to newer treatments. By determining physiological differences in people who develop PTSD, researchers can understand why some people develop the disorder after traumatic experiences but others do not.

Crypt0, I don't think I ever said that I was totally convinced the Bible codes were real. This year is an experiment to determine whether or not the Bible codes have any validity at all. Some of the codes (like one relating to Terri Schaivo's death, and another relating to Yasser Arafat's death) were found BEFORE the actual event happened. Also, the skip number (which is how many letters you skip to make up a "word search") can be any random number except 0 or 1. In other words, I don't see how people would know ahead of time how many letters to skip to make up a "word search" that would produce an accurate code about a future event. What I DO know is that the software they use works by the person entering terms (words to look for, letter skip, search limits [like from this part of the Bible, to that part], etc...) into the program, and then waiting for a result. They can assign different symbols for words (instead of just plain circles, some words might have diamond or square symbols). From what I learned on the History Channel, related words that are close together are what constitutes a code. Sometimes the codes will form shapes, like this one about the space shuttle Columbia (it's the second one down the page and it's in the shape of a stick figure space shuttle)...

Is it possible to put things right and take back the political process and to enable that possibility right here at FSHOD?
If each of us were able to "talk" to our neighbours on our street and the ones at the backs of our homes on the next street about forming an INTRANET cooperative to meet our local needs of security and love and belongingness given the appropriate "software" and one telephone line, we might be able to move the process from each being a separate entity in our homes, to being a political force as a neighbourhood within our respective communities.
We could "share" things. Books, tapes, time, open spaces, rides to school, work or shopping, daycare, yardwork etc. A cashless relationship where credits are issued. "pick my fruit" and you get a "work" credit and I get a "food" credit. Drive my wife to work and you get a "transportation" credit and my wife gets a "transportation" debit.
This is why the Internet will never be taken down. The original BBS would sprout up everywhere and big media multinationals would simply disappear.
Public spaces including vacant lands could become "community gardens" and many hands make light work. Equity, grassroots, and public spaces for recreation or food production a new frontier right at your doorstep.
The first step is a software pkg that some of you are familiar with. 60% of households have computers. A fibre optics link would be the ultimate goal but a single phone line would be like having a community newspaper that addresses community needs. It is interesting that our children are already "networking" their friends locally. We will have no problem bringing them into the process. It's you and you alone that must make the first step.
Take back the neighbourhood. Most have high speed Internet with cable. That problem would have to be solved with a "blog" copy or something along those lines.
Just like most things, the getting there is just as much a joy as arriving.

Bohemia, first off, it's not, as the Iranians claim, a true "flying boat". Yes, it's a boat, and yes, it does fly, but I'm 98% sure the proper name for it is a WIG (Wing In Ground-effect) craft. Think of a WIG as a kind of hovercraft; it rides on a cushion of air created by ground-effect. If it were a true flying boat, it could fly higher than a few tens of feet off the ground. Ground-effect only works if you're close to the ground (hence the name); above a certain altitude, you lose that cushion of air, and the craft would rapidly lose altitude. Also, I'm 80% sure that I heard on the news that the WIG that Iran has was purchased from the Russians. However, Iran claims that it built it. While it's possible that I heard the news wrong, it's even more possible that Iran is lying...

I actually learned about a WIG from 2 sources: Playing "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater", and asking my dad. There's a new show on the Discovery Channel called "Futureweapons" (Wed. 10pm, Thurs. 2am), where this ex-SEAL tries out the latest greatest military hardware from around the world. WASHINGTON -- President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution.
Among the laws Bush said he can ignore are military rules and regulations, affirmative-action provisions, requirements that Congress be told about immigration services problems, ''whistle-blower" protections for nuclear regulatory officials, and safeguards against political interference in federally funded research.
Legal scholars say the scope and aggression of Bush's assertions that he can bypass laws represent a concerted effort to expand his power at the expense of Congress, upsetting the balance between the branches of government. The Constitution is clear in assigning to Congress the power to write the laws and to the president a duty ''to take care that the laws be faithfully executed." Bush, however, has repeatedly declared that he does not need to ''execute" a law he believes is unconstitutional.
Former administration officials contend that just because Bush reserves the right to disobey a law does not mean he is not enforcing it: In many cases, he is simply asserting his belief that a certain requirement encroaches on presidential power.
But with the disclosure of Bush's domestic spying program, in which he ignored a law requiring warrants to tap the phones of Americans, many legal specialists say Bush is hardly reluctant to bypass laws he believes he has the constitutional authority to override.

SAN DIEGO -- La Jolla-based scientists say a mysterious boom heard and felt throughout San Diego County earlier this month originated from an area over the ocean, but the source of the disturbance remains unknown.
According to scientists at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the thunderous noise heard April 4 started over the ocean about 120 miles off the San Diego coast and petered out over the Imperial County desert, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
Scientists said the spot where the rattling boom originated is in the general vicinity of Warning Area 291, a huge swath of ocean used for military training exercises. The Navy operates a live-fire range on San Clemente Island, which is within Warning Area 291 and sits about 65 miles from Mission Bay, the newspaper reported.
But Steve Fiebing, a Coronado-based Navy representative, said the live-fire range on San Clemente Island was inactive April 4. He also said there was no Navy or Marine Corps flight activity in Warning Area 291 on that day that would have caused a sonic boom or a countywide tremor, the Union-Tribune reported.
Peter Shearer, a Scripps professor involved in the research, has no idea whether the disturbance was natural or made by humans, the Union-Tribune reported.
"I would guess it's either an explosion that somebody hasn't told us about or it could have been a meteor coming into the atmosphere," Shearer told the newspaper.
The Scripps researchers believe the disturbance was the result of a low- frequency wave that traveled through the air at the speed of sound as it moved from the ocean to the desert. They said it was picked up by more than two dozen seismometers in San Diego and eastern Riverside counties, the newspaper reported.
The boom was heard at about 8:45 a.m. and rattled homes and buildings all throughout San Diego County, including residences in Ramona and the county sheriff's building in Clairemont Mesa.
Some people speculated the disturbance was the result of an earthquake. But the U.S. Geological Survey said no measurable seismic activity was recorded in the county that morning

What is it I like about 371 Bohemia or Unipax, for example? It is that their root Intention stands out crystal clear as they speak(type) with honest sincerity, and it shows.

Based on Bubba's reasons for being a prick, he was probably happy she said it ... The other two Admins, I have no problem with. You and Scarlet were relentless about BU bashing, so I decided to ask the Crew what they thought. Forcing a vote before the accused took the stand, or all the evidence had been revealed is what got you the lop-sided result. THAT is why the clique wanted the topic and me to go away badly enough to swear and attack me, rather than satisfy the request for evidence. I don't include UniPax in the clique, though he may have voted "yes" with the clique. I don't force people to choose - I tend to force them to think. The impromptu vote on BU took place before the Crew could be given any evidence.

We 3, (and other crewmembers) gave SK various opinions on matters, which really were only BU related issues, but SK decides. I dont recall any other fshod issues, other than the current one. SK calls the shots at fshod, no voting. In other words, when it came to fshod policy making, except deleting posts, we 3 admin had no more influence on SK's decisions than other concerned crew. It was not even a matter of developing consensus, ie if you feel like offering an opinion, SK would listen, and then make his decision.

Two "Black Holes"?
It seems that Abell 400, a galaxy cluster that has long enchanted astronomers, is provoking a new round of speculations, with little regard for the separation of fact and fiction.
The picture above combines X-ray and radio images of the galaxy cluster Abell 400. According to the press release from the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, the composite "shows radio jets immersed in a vast cloud of multimillion degree X-ray emitting gas that pervades the cluster."

Any substance with a temperature of "multimillion" degrees cannot possibly be a gas: It will be a completely ionized plasma. What the press release doesn’t say is that the X-rays in such cases are almost exclusively synchrotron radiation, not thermal radiation. That means the X-rays are emitted by very fast electrons spiraling in a strong magnetic field. The Abell 400 galaxies are under extreme electrical stress.
But electricity is not something astronomers are eager to hear about. They are not fond of electrical currents in space, because the possibility that electricity generates large scale structure is alien to their theoretical models. To generate the observed levels of energy seen in Abell 400—using nothing but the puny force of gravity—more matter would have to be squeezed into a galaxy than a galaxy could hold. But the theorists are mathematicians, and they work with equations, not with real objects. This permits them to ignore empirical limits on density and let the amount of matter per unit volume increase without limit: The "neutron stars" and "black holes" conjured through this mathematical license can be placed wherever needed to explain away the stunning and potentially embarrassing energy excesses.
The galaxies would still have to be large. But because of the two "close" bright spots, astronomers now speculate about "colliding black holes" that could form a "single super-supermassive black hole" in a few million years—a mathematicians delight whether or not anything of this sort actually occurs in the natural world.
But photographs of Abell clusters — there are over 4000 such clusters — point to a different conclusion. Halton Arp, the Galileo of the twentieth century, has shown that several are aligned along the spine of the Virgo Cluster. Their x-ray contours are elongated toward nearby active galaxies, and these galaxies often have jets directed toward the Abell clusters.
Some members of the Abell clusters are paired with a quasar or a BL Lac (a kind of fragmented quasar) across an active galaxy, presenting astronomers with a now-familiar paradox. Because quasars and their kin are small and faint and have rather larger redshifts than the active galaxies, convention assumes they are large and bright but far away. But as Arp points out, Hubble diagrams for Abell clusters have enormous dispersion, placing the astronomers' assumptions about redshift in doubt: "[T]here is no redshift-apparent magnitude relation for these clusters like that which is claimed to demonstrate a redshift-distance relation." [Seeing Red, p. 154] And their association with active galaxies suggests that they are "grown up" BL Lacs — that they are not far away, but actually small and faint and close to the nearby active galaxy. Arp discusses this issue at length in his book, Seeing Red.
Abell 400 is particularly interesting because it lies along the line of Local Group objects extending from the minor axis of M31 (the Andromeda galaxy), through M33, to 3C120 (the active galaxy with the "faster-than-light" jet). Along that line are also nebulous clouds "obviously interacting" with higher-redshift dwarf and low-luminosity spiral galaxies, strong radio and x-ray sources, and quasar groupings. Arp suggests that the objects in this line have been ejected from M31, as may have been our own galaxy.
The Abell 400 cluster would be a part of the "umbilicus'"that still connects us with our "mother", M31.

else got. His processing of it revealed structural elements under cydonia
in the IR range. The results have been scotched to this day. Either
confusion was meant to result or the 'good guys' messed up their leak.
Anyway, I have a copy of ENVI and continue to learn how to investigate
Cydonia in multi-spectrums...even match that up with 'spectral databases'

Regarding starships: I can't imagine that they are just simply buried, but I can see that the hangar they're stored in is covered over. If it was intended that a ship be useable up to thousands of years after its burial, it would have to be protected. It wouldn't surprise me that we're building an "embassy" in Iraq when actually we're digging up a starship and building the cover that hides what is being done with it.
Now a manned mission to Iaeputus should find us all a starship parked in orbit. Whether it's useable is something else though. Hopefully the cratering is not an indicator of the condition of the interior.

That's the first I've heard of human remains found in places aside from the crash site of United 93, but I'm not surprised. A jetliner plowing into the ground at 500 or 600 mph has a LOT of kinetic energy. Depending on the angle that it hit the ground at, it's easy to see that there could be remains found miles away from the crash site...

There is a Hindu myth that I find appropriate to the present time.
Vedic writings are full of descriptions of wars between the god and 'anti-gods'. Once, both sides decided to conclude a truce and futher decided to work together to churn the Universal Milk (i.e. Milky Way?) for the Butter of Immortality.
For their churn-spindle, the Cosmic Mountain (analagous to Dante's Mountain of Purgatory) was chosen. The Cosmic Serpent was chosen to be the spindle-cord. The Gods pulled at the head of the Serpent, the Anti-Gods at the tail, setting the Cosmic Mountain spinning. They churned and churned for a thousand years until suddenly a dark and poisonous smoke issued forth. They had found a new energy source whose initial manifestation was the poison smoke!!
Work stopped and it became apparent that one of them would have to do something about the smoke. Obviously, the only one qualified was the god of yoga, Shiva. Shiva simply gathered all the poison smoke in his begging bowl and forthwith drank it down. Only thru the expert use of yoga was Shiva able to contain the smoke in his throat until his throat turned blue. He is revered today as Blue Throat, Nilakantha.

At this point in U.S. history, I feel like I am someplace where I can watch the Visigoths on the horizon, and no one in the city below gives an airborne rodent's derriere. Everything seems hell bent for self destruction in a way isn't just limited to NASA. On almost every level, organisations seem to be hijacked by individuals who are very thinly disguised sociopaths. I'm not talking about NASA or even the Federal Government. I'm referring to the insane decisions I see at my day job at the public library, local arts groups, the local city council etc all of which seem designed to bring utter ruination to once functioning parts of civic life. My city has the amazing ability to "lose" and "find" millions of dollars at a time depending on the caprices of the keepers of the purse strings. A library that gets rid of amazing numbers of books that it actually has room to keep on its shelves, a visual arts group pretending to be "edgy" only wants just enough art on the walls to decorate for their monthly fourth friday parties where the membership now consist mostly of non-artists standing around with drinks in their hands pretending to support the arts while artists get the boot up their asses for their hard work. A transit system that successfully won tax dollars to fund its operations somehow manages to squander its new funds and ends up with junk buses from L.A. and no real expansion of services with the working poor scrambling for a ride if they can get one.
