The New A-Bomb

Is HAARP the New 'A-Bomb Mistake'?
Imagine, if you will, a device of such power and expanse that it can literally punch a hole in the atmosphere. A device whose effects are felt WORLD-WIDE. Whose reach can disturb the Earth's crust or mantle, setting off earthquakes and other tectonic disturbances.
Now, imagine a device whose radiation causes horrifying birth defects, brain abnormalities, and cancers.
Imaging a group of researchers and military types are nearly complete in building this fearsome apparatus. Imagine it is us. Ponder that it lives mostly dormant and unknown in a peaceful rural area in Alaska, USA.
It's HAARP.
We have all read and discussed the conspiracy theories regarding it's purpose from weather manipulation to earthquake detonation to global warming and warfare usage. But there's more.
Like the Manhattan Project which gave birth to the atomic bomb, the HAARP project started innocently enough until *they* became involved. *THEY* being the M/I Complex. And we know that whenever the M/I Complex involves itself, all projects become changed into newer, more exotic, and more powerful ways to ANNIHILATE our fellow humans.
The Manhattan Project scientists realised only after they achieved technical success, what the intent of such a device was. Many became horrified and
tried to valiantly stop this new weapon's usage. President H. S. Truman and the war pigs did not listen. They had their new toy of death, their glowing wand of supremacy.
Of those scientists, a few became chronically depressed. J. R. Oppenheimer quoting from the Bhagavad Gita: "I am become Death, the shatterer of worlds." Oppenheimer was only a man, into whose hands, a far too mighty instrument of power had been given.
The fear, guilt, and sadness of these exceptional scientists motivated many of them to form early war protests against the use of atomic weapons. They could not comprehend any government would use such a device for the deliberate and intentional killing, maiming, and destruction of humanity on such a mass scale.
We know the horrifying results. The death, devastation, illness. Japanese people walking like living dead with their skin peeling off in sheets, their bodies burning internally and externally from the combined heat and radiation, limbs falling off like broken branches.
Since then, the march against nukes in war has been powerful, vocal, and so far, successful. Our knowledge and understanding of this scary glowing stuff is more complete. In some cases radiation is being used to TREAT certain cancers versus causing them. In some places, it is used as an efficient energy source. We have come a long way in the peaceful application of this untamed beast; however and unfortunately, it was only after it was used as a destructive force.
21st Century A-Bomb:
Such is the way of any new discovery. The first question asked is how it can be used in war or how can it be used to kill our "enemies" if needed. Never is the intent of new technologies for the benefit or improvement of society as a whole.
HAARP is another "Pandora's Box." The near-sighted boffins with their new tech hard-ons are quickly pursuing this new technologically sweet nectar without considering the future consequences.
Oppenheimer also once said:
When you see something that is technically
sweet, you go ahead and do it and you argue about what to do about it only after you have had your technical success. That is the way it was with the atomic bomb.
Will it also be the same for HAARP?
Will these scientists be forced to face the same guilt, shock, and sadness when they realise the monster they inadvertently created?
It will be too late.
Too often I hear of sickening stories of mutated babies, indigenous peoples
sufferings, high cancer incidences, whales and other sea creatures that rely on sonar for navigation becoming confused and actually drowning, mutated animals, birth defects in which the infants skull is not completely fused thereby exposing brain matter (death quickly ensues). The recent death of a colleague due to brain swelling and hemorrhaging. Those by his death bed report this person's head was swollen nearly 4 times normal size. The pain caused by the pressure of the cerebrospinal fluid build-up forced him to remain in a drug induced coma for his final days. He looked inhuman ... alien-like ... with sunken eyes. Rest in piece for in his soul was a genuine ambition to further our knowledge. But, at what cost?
HAARP & ChemTrails -- A Connection?
Food for thought. What if these "chemtrails" are the conduit for HAARP's long range effects? Is the chemtrails purpose to shield and protect or to target and focus? Is the chemtrail another piece in this larger, global monster.
Conclusion:
Let's discuss! This is only part of the picture that is available to me. Perhaps your insights, thoughts, ideas, and opinions can add to it. In closing, consider the lyrics from Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" off their 1970 album titled "Paranoid":
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds, oh lord yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor
Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait till their judgement day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness, world stops turning
As the war machine keeps burning
No more war pigs of the power
Hand of God has sturck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings
All right now!

Awesome. This has to be a gut wrenching experience for you and sense that you have made a great personal sacrifice to write it. The subject is more than just relevant; It is more than Pandora's Box. Thank you.

I suppose if we actually took a cue from The French and took to the streets about this stuff we might actually get some action. (or at least some attention)
But that would be drawing too much attention to a subject that the average Joe either knows nothing on the subject or is too afraid to hear about it.
It appears its not just the fear of action by others that makes TPTB to create such WMD s but also its fear that creates the inability to act.(deer in the headlights syndrome)
In the movie Defending Your Life its fear that keeps us from "moving on' to the better planes of exsistance. HOW TRUE it really is.
Thanks for this thought provoking Blog, Bohemia. What an asset you are to this Crew!
HAARP
Good post Bo, thanx.
Dan Eden said he got invited to Alaska by some Haarp employees and taken to a village near Haarp.
There were birth defects, burned people, and some had even been fried dead while out hunting.
This stuff needs to get out, ya ?
Perhaps this disturbing account is a good candidate for vetting....or are we already there?
I originally saw Dan Eden's account here at fshod. I searched and found it again, but the links seem unreliable, fluky. Some pages keep disappearing. I've seen pages disappear before my eyes when going to certain parts of Joe Vialis's site, but that's another conspiracy theory..
Here is the Clusty entry I found .
Dan Eden Tells All
"Shit, yes. Here in Alaska there were Eskimos that were all fried and like whole herds of antelopes.

Lemme know if that fails. I saved what I could.
BTW, after the Haarp account, Eden's oddysey continues on for ten million pages, or about 59.

Hey blasted! How ya doin'??
Fool,
Interesting post, heard bits and pieces about that but not that indepth with the tie your post expressed. Hmmm.
Fool again;
RCH's story. Not mine. That's why I'm curious. Is he a lying duplicitous dirt bag? If the story is NOT true, then WHY would he lie? What is his motivation?

I find uni's thought about Hubble (earth orbit, how can it see Mars) valid. RCH may just be trying to stir the pot? Keep his name going? I am guessing too here.
Carried some replies over from the old blog.
Bohemia,
I listened to War Pigs as a kid, one of the first songs I learned on guitar. Knew what it meant then and it has always remained relevant. That song never beat around the bush! Too funny, beat around the bush...hehe..
Thanks again Bohemia, will join the discussion later.
Wayne
Bohemia,
It's about time you started putting stuff up there !
Bio Unit, your assignment is to write a rational, coherent blog on your subject. See you in about 50 years.
Bohemia, I would still like to know how the Sun's corona can be 1,000,000 Degrees and the the surface only be 5000 Degrees. Would that not mean that the corona is the result of particles being energized by a very intense electric field ?
On the subject of HAARP, it seems that Wayne Madsen has been following bad weather and is becoming increasingly concerned about it. If Bush and Cheney are trying to suppress talk about it, could it be because they know the effects are HAARP related ? :
April 5, 2006 -- Yesterday, Salon ran a story on meteorologists being warned away from covering global warming by their corporate bosses. This revelation, in addition to the Bush-Cheney oilgarchy censoring and punishing NASA scientists who wrote and spoke about global warming, may be one of the most egregious crimes of the Bush administration and their corporate criminal co-conspirators.
WMR has received a number of e-mails regarding severe and unusual weather conditions now plaguing the planet. We have received reports of pilots regularly experiencing extremely high and dangerous winds and ship crews recording some of the highest waves ever seen. Since the mainstream media is finally, and slowly, beginning to report on the fact of global warming and the resulting severe weather patterns cause by it, WMR, in an effort to stay well ahead of the Katie Courics of the news pack, requests any pilots or marine vessel operators to provide credible anecdotal information on unusual severe wind and wave incidents to supplement what we've already received
----> waynemadsendc@hotmail.com
Al Gore has repeatedly warned that the clock is ticking and time is running out for the planet. The fact that the Bush administration has engaged in a cover-up of something as important and basic as weather information is just another crime against humanity to charge them with at their international tribunals.
"The Day After Tomorrow" may be only a few years away. And thanks to Bush and Cheney, millions may be in peril.
In the bible, the Apostle Paul defines faith as the "evidence of things not seen and the substance of things hoped for."
I would suggest that the events described below constitute evidence of things not seen...things wicked, satanic and insane. Of course, all of those qualities really go together anyway, don"t they ?
If you don't trust Wayne, as some of you have expressed, try absorbing this article about events in the UK:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=381799&in_page_id=1770
With laws like this in place, I don't think there is going to be room any longer in England for a Bobby with a conscience or a set of morals.
These kinds of policies will soon be coming to a state in the U.S. near you. Indeed, we are starting the process by letting mexican border-crashers "off with a warning".
I personally won't mind that kind of leniency on criminals, just as long as the cops stay out of my way while I blast them or periodically sweep the streets clean with an Uzi after midnight..
from: waynemadsenreport.com
April 5, 2006 -- The GOP's family values. While the mainstream media has ignored the sex perverts who dominate the Bush administration, from senior White House officials to lower level political appointees in various federal agencies, WMR has repeatedly reported on what amounts to a "wink and nod" cabal of individuals who represent anything but the much-ballyhooed GOP "family values." It helps to explain how a male prostitute managed to gain access to White House press conferences.
Bush administration appointees have been keeping Maryland police particularly busy. A few weeks after White House domestic policy adviser Claude Allen was arrested for shoplifting from Target and Hecht's stores, Department of Homeland Security Brian Doyle, who worked overtime to justify his department's sky marshals' shooting an unarmed mentally disturbed airline passenger in the back at Miami International Airport, was arrested at his Silver Spring home on 23 counts relating to the solicitation of sex from an undercover Polk County, Florida detective posing as a 14-year old girl. In one of the photographs of himself that Doyle sent to the detective, his Department of Homeland Security security badge lanyard is clearly visible. Doyle also revealed to the detective that he worked at Homeland Security and provided his official office and cell phone numbers to her.
The news about Doyle broke after Clifton Bennett, the 19-year old son of Arizona's GOP Senate President Ken Bennett, was charged with sodomizing 18 boys who were between the ages of 11 and 14 at an Arizona youth camp. Bennett and a friend were charged with sodomizing the youths with broom sticks and flashlights. WMR has previously reported that similar abuse of underage teens at Abu Ghraib was videotaped and the tapes were made available to senior White House staff for "entertainment" purposes. The Taguba Report mentions that prisoners at Abu Ghraib were sodomized by glow sticks.
From WMR, Nov. 18, 2005:
There is good reason for the embarrassment of the Pentagon in the affair. The orders to take the sexually-oriented photos and videos, some of which involve teenage Iraqi boys and girls and sodomization by their guards, came directly from a pedophile and closeted male homosexual ring operating in the White House, according to the intelligence sources. Copies of the tapes and photos were sent directly to the White House for the entertainment of senior members of the Bush White House, including officials in the Vice President's office and the Executive Office of the President.
When the photos at Abu Ghraib became public, the senior military command structure in Iraq "went nuts," according to an individual who witnessed the cover-up of the affair. "They ordered an immediate policy of denial about details of the prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib," said the source. The source added that senior officers were disgusted that lower ranking guards were prosecuted and jailed when the order for the mistreatment came directly from the White House.
371 Bohemia,
Good Post, I appreciate the 'real' educator in you.
I remember well Gen Corso's remarks in his book The Day After Roswell, about much the same premise about the M/I Complex and especially the CIA.
Society would not see those technologies and subsequently not directly benefit from them. Corso's role helped changed that in respect to the Roswell crash and the debris that was dispersed into the societal industrial machine for eventual public use.i.e fibre optics.
The Haarp array reminds me of examples I found on Naudin's site describing the method of a scalar device, essentially an EM Emitter.
What I found interesting was the simplicity frankly and the multi-faceted multi-use aspect of the simple "rod" he shows. It was really all in the math.
I do feel TPTB were/are working on a bigger picture with Haarp, but as with the scalar example at Naudin's site, they discovered it has MANY uses nicely wrapped up in one basic technology. Better than your pocket multi-tool with the little pliers! :)
I personally see Haarp serving as a global shield of sorts, protecting or poised to protect outwardly.
For meteors perhaps, or to create an 'artificial' EM field, should our planet's inner one collapse. Much has been academically written about the decline of the earth magnetic field and the acceleration of that process in recent years.
As well, there has been extensive writings on the potential of a serious CME(Coronal Mass Ejection) direct hit neutralizing or essentially knocking out our planet's electromagnetic field. That would lead to immediate loss of the total atmosphere.
Recent reports are saying that the next peak of the solar cycle which happens to be in 2012(hmm?!), will bring with it this time around a sunspot cycle that is 30 to 50% stronger than the last one.
We know fairly well at our level here, the effects of the last solar maximum. Can you imagine, the Sun hurling at the Earth, mammoth solar storms with intense radiation and large clouds of high-speed sub-atomic particles at possibly 50% greater? One good chance direct hit is all it would take.
That said skin cancer etc. is already rocketing upwards. Just talk to friends in Australia. Aborations and mutations in general are already occurring from current elevated inbound energies.
So, my thought here is that while I feel they are working on this device orginally to deal with 'loftier' issues, they were pleasantly suprised to see that they could use it for communication, regulate mind functions, weather manipulation, earth quakes and who knows what else.
In the experiences of the Mir space station they learned well what happens in the absense of Earth's Electromagnetic Field. Mind breaks down and decays quickly. The Mag Belts were a solution to that problem, and thus restored cohesive thought processes to the astonauts.
I have seen many forshadows spoken and written of this Terrorism that is now occurring in the world. It has been emphasized previously that the terrorism is an idealogy. A premise arising from what, really? A thought form.
Much of it is quite frankly insane and very disturbed at its root. Indescriminate killing and maiming is a truly deviant mental decay.
TPTB or simply THEY, knew this time was coming, of craziness and self destructive impulse. The earliest signs of the EM field, reaching a new low, and human mental cohesiveness is already appearing to flounder? A predicted consequence of these times.
So, bringing it back to the Haarp topic, I feel it is certainly open to abuse, perhaps more clearly open to many really BAD side effects,
but at the highest levels it appears to me that it ALL becomes primarily about tools for preservation of the species. PERIOD.
The real global cataclysmic threats are known, we've seen enough official activity and documents to know that.
So my feeling is still in the Wisdom of the Magi, The Three Wise Men, the astronomers who understood the big movements and large time.
All dealing with the basics of human perpetuity.
SWORD spoke of an orbiting platform that "farts lightening bolts". It wasn't for torching something like the bad North Korean's, it was for something much bigger and outward. That would be a very serious piece of resource for something so miniscule as Nationalistic struggles.
These devices are installed to serve the true higher good.
I personally have witnessed an event whereby a simple little attenna on a small tower appears to have discharged and 'instantly' killed a 130km per hour wind to literally, dead calm still air.
Truth? Not sure, but the outcome was radical, and noticable and distinct, and I was thoroughly present when it occurred. Even saw the brown out twice when the unit charged up. Probably saved a few airplanes from windshear trying to land.
I guess the end point of this supportive thought here of mine is that we are seeing in Haarp, perhaps some unavoidable severe "side effects', mitigated by the requirement to save the greater whole of humanity.
Societal strucure and order is very very thinly held together. A good natural crisis and it falls pretty fast into confusion and chaoticness.
Is it about just world domination and power and control? At the highest levels, I think no.
At the lower levels of those politico's playing national games, who are not privy to the grand picture, perhaps.
I see many intelligent prepatory steps taking place, that make sense when 'viewed' from farther away than the local neighbourhood and the strategic news schlock, meant to so nicely divert most peoples' gaze <-away-> from the real Worldly danger to humankind.
A Grace perhaps? SWORD certainly thought so.
Many, now more mentally unstable, probably can not handle the TRUTH and potential Global dread of a Grand Celestial Ass Whooping, dear Earth might end up taking in these near years. Might ignorance be bliss? Sort of...
So, for good mental continuity, align your consciousness awareness to some source center other than the Earth, because it is increasingly weakened in this cosmic moment and the signs of large scale mental break down have already been seen.
Hint to stay well: 1.Go True Guru, go to Adi Da.
2.Go Celestial, consider that the Taoists teach strongly about conscious alignment to the Pole Star-Polaris for maximum benefit.
Its about "Alignment of the Spheres".
Almost any one will do, when done well.
The best line I heard all week was:
The Fool said - FOCUS.
ha ha ha :D
P.S. I hope this reads well enough, it was spontaneous stream.
Sorry to be boring, but I am a perfectionist and like to be complete.
Once the neo-cons get the laws similar to those in the U.K. and to their liking, the Bush crime /pedophile family will probably have all the 14 year-old girls (and boys) they want...and even younger.
The question is ...what are YOU prepared to do about it ?
Do we even owe allegiance any longer to a government that would participate in, let alone tolerate such things?
April 6, 2006 -- Department of Homeland Perversion. Doyle wasn't the only child predator. Department of Homeland Security deputy Press Secretary Brian Doyle, arrested in Maryland for soliciting sex from a Florida undercover detective posing as a 14-year old girl, had company within the department. On October 25, 2005, Tampa-based Homeland Security Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement official Frank Figueroa was arrested at Orlando's Mall at Millenia for exposing himself and masturbating in front of a 16-year old girl in the food court. Figueroa used his federal law enforcement badge in an attempt to avoid arrest. Amazingly, Figueroa had been in charge of the Homeland Security Department's Operation Predator, designed to curb child sexual exploitation and child pornography.
The collection of GOP mug shots are beginning to resemble a large high school year book
It is clear that as reported yesterday by WMR, the Bush administration and the GOP are chock full of pedophiles, sexual harassers, male prostitutes and their clients, and others who display anything but so-called "family values." The leadership of the Religious Right are aware of, condone, and in some cases, participate in these sordid activities
Bohemia...
Certainly worthy of getting to the bottom of.
Cynics would say "there is nothing there" but ever since I saw a BBC documentary
on HAARP I've been suspicious.
It had one of the HAARP scientists saying that the HAARP power level was so low
that it couldn't be a threat, but many people know that resonance effects can be
set up in systems...sometimes with a very low power, directed frequency...right?
On another point....this jumped right out of the New Scientist at me:
Missing: a fifth terrestrial planet.
Which at least proves to me that such a study is a serious one !
Any Enterprise Mission freaks will be familiar with this.
The TEM model of Mars evidence for a fifth planet is making more and more sense
to me. Especially the bit about 'tidal lock' with a fifth planet, and it's role
in the creation of Valles Marinas (is it?), anyway "the biggest canyon in the solar
system" as it's often described as. What other kind of forces could have created such
a feature ? This is what I love about this theory. You can actually go and look at
the planet and see these HUGE forces that have been at work on the landscape.
Bohemia...what do you think to that theory ?
If anyone has the link to the TEM article, that would be great.
DJBarney
Woops...there is more.
This theory is also part of the (sometimes labyrinthine, but that's part of the fun)
theory of why something like Cydonia and The Face can exist at all.
Stay with it guys...this is going to be worth it ;->
DJBarney
Wow Lurker, in tune with ya, thanks for the weather info.

Yes...I've heard this. Can anyone dig out the article ? This could be a whole cohesive
approach with references and articles. The first FSHOD public release of an article ?

Yes! Yes! Yes! Iontruo2, I've been trying to say this for ages! We get bogged down in
the "Evil" aspects of these technologies, that, as you say, those 'lower down' might
be using them for. But 'at the top' this does all look like some kind of attempt to
'shield planet earth'.
If only they would go public...I think people would understand...and it's actually
all this secrecy that throws the system into paranoia. Then again, as you say, there
MAY be some kind of wisdom at work here...mmmmm. Extraordinary...now we're getting
somewhere.

Warp 5 Skipper?
The technology for HAARP (on this planet) is related directly to Tesla's experiments in Colorado circa 1899. In these experiments, Tesla was forcng ELF into SWF causing fireballs and extraordinary lightning fields which most have seen in photographic evidence. In the FBI reports, at least two of Tesla's close friends reported that he (Tesla) was in communication with extra terrestrials and as these witnesses reported, were from Mars.
He was using an "off the shelf" radio transmitter to accomplish this feat.
The FBI report also indicates that Tesla had contacted the "government" the day before his untimely death January 6, 1943 to say that he had a weapon characterized widely in the media at the time, as a death ray which could intercept any aircraft within 250 miles and an invention which alluded to the wireless transmission of electricity. The files and Tesla's Edison gold medal were never found. The remainder of his work was collected by the Office of Alien Property and in the presence of Sava Kosanovich, a distant relation and a former Minister of State for Yugoslavia, taken to a government warehouse in New York City. Copies were made but vehemently denied by FBI until these documents were declassified on 7-2-1980.
The following exerpts are found in part one of the FOIA subject Nikola Tesla..
"Mr. George H. Scherff Jr. advised that he had received two letters...
Mr. Scherff stated that he was an associate of Nikola Tesla in 1914 and that for many years, his father had been Dr. Tesla's private secretary. Mr. Scherff said that he had never heard of Leland J. Anderson nor did he ever hear of any of the names mentioned in Anderson's letter."...(February 3, 1954)
"Mr. Scherff stated that he has quite a bit of Tesla's writings in his posession and he didn't know whether or not they would be of value to a foreign government."

Leland Anderson's letter to George Scherff ..February 3, 1954
"I have had some difficulty locating a few of Tesla's associates, and the name of George Scherff is (uninteligable)..Therefore it is my (unintelable) are the person I seek as having been associated with Tesla" Several pages of white garbage on a black background which looks like pointed questions to George Scherff and his relationship to Tesla and his work.

"Tesla stated that this new type of force would operate through a beam one hundredth millionth of a square centimetre in diameter and could be generated from a special plant that would cost no more than two million dollars and would take no more than three months to construct." .."no possible defence...and all penetrating"
7/25/57
"Mr. (redacted) provided a two page copy of the above mentioned newsletter which Mr. And Mrs. Storm have been distributing in connection with the alleged invention by Tesla, which according to Mr. and Mrs. Storm, consists of a radio type machine known as the Tesla Set which was invented by Mr. Tesla in 1938 for interplanetary communication. Mr. and Mrs. Storm claim that Tesla's engineers did not complete the Tesla Set until after Tesla's death in 1943. Mr and Mrs. Storm claim that this set was placed in operation in 1950 and since that time Tesla engineers have been in close contact with space ships etc. (3)"
Another idiot finally wakes up out of his stupor and proclaims that he is the very first to have discovered the earth is growing larger.

Plus, I want to really ensure I provide good, factual information and not gloss over the question. It is an important question with some interesting physics. Please give me a little more time to get things straight. I'll be back.

It is always a pleasure reading your posts. I also agree that someday, like nuclear power, we will learn how to harness HAARP for the benefit of humankind. There is much in theory that allows for this. Unfortunately, the M/I complex has it's hands wrapped tightly around their new toy. So, we might have to ride through some destructive times before it suddenly needs to get better.
Thanks for your comments!
=-=-=-=
There is also a phenomenon called "atmospheric evaporation" that HAARP can also quite easily cause. Basically it is the destruction or "blowing away" of our own atmosphere and we become another Mars or Venus.
I think "DJBarney" said that it does not require much power when cascade transformers are used.
BINGO! That is precisely what is used to make HAARP 110% power efficient. As the array grows and more power is fed to it, amplication factors up to 10^6 are easily achievable. That is a MILLION-fold increase on power output compared to power input. More bang for the buck.
Which is why whay I look at the Martian surface, I fear that I see a future Earth.
Apologies for my dark doom & gloom pessimism but I have been in this game for almost 17 years now and have been greatly disappointed.
The Good v. Evil scenario with Good winning eventually is a good hope to have. If today's researchers stay true to the objectives of their profession then, like the Manhattan Project scientists, we can make a change for the better eventually.

Cool things are starting to happen.

Bro. Eric,
I want to thank you for your taking the time to answer my inquiries. You are a gentleman and a tireless worker. There are a couple of minor points I'll respond to later, but nothing major.
I wanted to throw this up to you. With all this hype about Iran and its nuclear possibiliies, according to the Biblical context of the seven-year tribulation period Iran (the Medes) will be a nuclear power to be dealt with, along with Russia and her allies.
Agreed. Just before mid-trib when Gog of Magog, prince of Rosh (Russia), Meshech (Moscow) and Tubal (Tubolsk) attacks regathered Israel (Ex.38:8), Persia, i.e., IRAN, will be with Gog. So Iran cannot be destroyed in this Papal Crusade. Its population is to be reduced, while exciting the survivors to attack the Pope's fascist, 14th Amendment American Empire. the aftermath will be a unification with the Pope's Russia, now led by Knight of Malta Vladimir Putin. Remember, the SMOM, aided by the Jesuits, have ruled Russia since the Assassination of Tzar Alexander II in 1881.
These nations are mentioned as coming against Babylon and leaving her as a desert (That reminds me of Vladimir Zhironofsky's quote in Time Magazine years ago when he said, "If anybody messes with me, I'll leave them a parched desert."). What I am saying is that Iran cannot be destroyed,
Agreed.
or at least her nuclear capability taken out, before the appearing of the Lord, since she will play a major role in destroying the great commercial and political Babylon.
First, there is no evidence that atomic bombs can be dropped and detonate as air-bursts. This was not done at Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Both devices were assembled on the ground by Jesuit German physicists, including Jesuit Kleinsorge, overseen by the future Jesuit General, Pedro Arrupe, whose Jesuit master was in control of the Japanese High Command via the Masonic Emperor, Hirohito. (It was for this reason that Hirohito did not allow his Japanese people to surrender during the Summer of 1945; the bombs had to be detonated under cover of an ariel, B-29 bombardment using magnesium flash bombs laced with radioactive materials delivered to Tinian Island by the USS Indianapolis, later deliberately sunk by Admiral Nimitz and the Japanese Navy.) Thus the concept of Airborne Nuclear War is a complete Hoax, created to serve as the foundation for the Pope's Cold War Hoax. Therefore the entire theory that Iran can launch a nuclear missile against Israel is a lie, and thus a pretext for the invasion of Iran as well as Iraq, both nations having been armed by the CFR-controlled US government in the 1980s. (I was stationed with Iranians in Denver in the mid 1970s.)
Besides, there is too much at stake with Russia and China and the rest of the Arab world for the US or Israel to move against Iran. This would cause a domino effect and apocalyptic repercussions typical of the tribulation period.
Disagreed. Since there is no such thing as Ariel Nuclear War (only detonations of pre-set devices when in the proper relation to the sun during its corkscrew, up-and-down circuit of the earth), Iran can easily be invaded as was Iraq. In fact it appears that the possiblilty exists that the US and Russia could act together in the Iranian invasion, Russia be given the oil fields for its military machine, and then the US then turn on one another---as was done between Stalin and HItler over Poland in 1939. There are also 14 permanent US military bases now in Iraq, to be used throughout this anti-Moslem Crusade.
Neither can Israel be destroyed since she will be a major factor in the "covenant with death", i.e. the Antichrist's peace accord (not to mention the fact that God won't allow it.).
Totally Agreed. It is for this reason that I am traduced when I publicly declare that the nation of Israel as it exists today can never be destroyed persuant to Ezekiel 38:8. Once the nation has been reestablished, it cannot be destroyed and then reestablished again.
Wouldn't China be related to the "kings of the East" (which come on the scene during the tribulation) and not the "great nation" and nations out of "the North" which will come against Babylon?
I believe that indeed, China will be the heart of "the kings of the east" who will cross the Euphrates River and attack Israel at the end of the Great Tribulation. But since I do not believe the city of Babylon of Jeremiah 51 and Isaiah 12 is the American Empire (rather I believe that the prophecies have both a present and future reference to the destruction of then city of Babylon and the future city of Rome (spiritual Babylon existing during the Day of the Lord)), China can most definitely be used to attack the US before the Day of the Lord. Presently this is the scenario now unfolding in both China and the US. Knight of Malta Alexander Haig, Jr., is a member of the board of COSCO. Thus the Jesuit Order, in fulfilling its Counter Reformation quest is preparing China---and Japan--- to attack the US as the grand finale of this Third Thirty Years' War.
My question is, Where does China enter in to the destruction of the US? Wouldn't she be acting a little before her time? Or is she just set up as a looming threat to be able to bring about some political "move" predetermined by the Order?
No, China will be used against the US in the future. There is now a huge fifth column on the West Coast, and China now controls the deep water ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, as well as the locks of the Panama Canal. This is an obvious policy of encirclement, as was done to Germany by France, Britain and Russia prior to WWI. The Kaiser spoke of this policy in his desperate telegrams to cousin, Tzar Nicholas II, after the Tzar, under orders of his Jesuit masters, ordered the mobilization of over 1 million Russian troops on the Prussian border which mobilization ignited WWI.
Yes, I agree with God's judgment on this world as the purpose for the tribulation. However, his judgment is not coming because we as God's people have not "stood up" against oppressive and corrupt govenments, but due to the overall worldwide apostasy and moral corruption, caused by a lukewarm, saltless, cowardly, and corrupted church, e.g. as illustrated by Lot and his family living in Sodom.
Agreed. But you confuse the present judgment of the US with the future judgment of of the nations during the Day of the Lord within the Great Tribulation. My position is that the US, since the days of William McKinley's Spanish-American War, has been "the Sword of the Church" without any serious resistance from the Lord's Protestant and Baptists peoples in this nation. We all ran off to fight the Pope's Second Thirty Years' War (1914-1945) and his Cold War (1945-1989) and now his Third Thirty Years' War (2001-2030?). As mentioned previously, a people is responsible for the actions of its government. WWI, WWII (HItler and Stalin), the Cold War (the US and the USSR's building of its industrial military complexes) was paid for and fought for by the Lord's Bible believing Church led by the papal knights running the country. For this apostasy and aiding Jesuit murder via the CFR-controlled US government, we deserve to be given the treatment of John 15:6---the intended purpose for the Pope's US concentration camps. The only escape from this national judgment is to do exactly what the Covenanters and Presbyterians did in the 1600s---a public confession of sins, enter into covenant with each other as independent churches and then declare our independence. These documents can be found in the addendums of The Westminster Confession of Faith available from Free Presbyterian Publications , 1983.
Standing up to the Order and the Black Nobility families will not make for a more spiritual church on this earth, when she is in love with Hollywood and is filled with covetousness from her head to her toes, and to add, has left the old path long ago.
Thus, repentence is necessary first.
Seceding and forming a new nation will not add to the spiritual testimony and quality of God's people within that new nation.
No, but it will enable us to do what the Puritans did in the 1600s---escape the persecutions intended to destroy us and provide a nation in which we can worship God in obedience to the Reformation Bible---the AV1611.
The world is at the point where she needs to be completely renovated, having the "works that are therein" burned up. You can't put a bandaid on a cancer and expect it to be cured.
No, but we can separate from it and trust the Son of God for protection and his intervention when attacked as did the brethren in England when attacked by the Spanish Armada. There were only 5 million people in England at that time. There are indeed at least 5 million White, English-speaking, Anglo-Saxon Protestant and Baptist Americans who could seceed and form a new nation somewhere here in the US AFTER our repentence and public confession of sins.
My good brother Eric, there is so much false doctrine and satanic activity and corruption on this earth, not to mention "the mystery of iniquity" that is in full force to rule the world, that God's wrath is preparing to be unleashed. "For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh upon the children of disobedience." - Co. 2:6, and "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ." - I Thess. 5:9. ". . . I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." - Rev. 3:10
The angel said to Lot, ". . . I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. " - Gen. 19:22.
By the way, how did it go on the 9 pm show last night? I tried to download the station, but was unsuccessful.

Hi All,
Great post Bohemia. I only have time for a short comment, as work is hectic.
Of all the things going on, if this is in fact what Scott Stevens says it is, this is potenitally the most disruptive and destructive to not only people but the enviroment. As I've said before, there is no doubt in my mind these boneheads have no idea what the unintended consequences will be, nor most likely do their masters. It is enough for them that again they have yet another imtimidating weapon. Nothing to help, only to kill. I used to be angry now I am just profoundly saddened at the downward spiral we seem to be on. More later when time permits.
Thank you again crewe for your posts it's nice to know I'm not the only one concerned about the future of the all of us and the planet. By the way I'm no tree-hugger, but I have a daughter I'd like to see have a future.
Peace
Interesting stuff, eric.
Unfortunately, I do not feel constrained by prophesy. Prophesy is nothing more than a projection based on existing events and situations and assumes certain behaviors. Bad people and bad nations will never be indestructible. You simply root them out, destroy them and let God sort 'em out.
Monkey Wrench, Wrensch,Wrentch,
Welcome back to puny FSHOD tree. Saw you swinging from branches a mile away.
RE, variable gravity.
You no doubt saw Monkey See's post awhile back with email correspondence between Thunderbolts.info and yours truly.
Here is additional response from another member of the Thunderbolts team. (Monkey See ask how Earth gravity can change dramatically)
Hi Monkey See,
Thanks for the question, unfortunately this is not my area of expertise, but
maybe you should look at Ted Holden's website (a link is on the Thunderbolts
page) who came up with the dinosaurs and lower gravity idea. What I know is
that (based on Ralph Sansbury's work) gravity is a very weak an
electromagnetic force, which can be variable in strength, locally or
globally, but always as a consequence of EM influence from outside (Earth in
this case). I hope you can find the information you seek, if not let us
know, we might be able to explain it better, and maybe write another TPOD to
let everyone know.
Regards,
Louis van de Locht

Good posts, Crewe. Busy as hell at work, so no time to respond.
Thanks! SK
Lurker,
Do you actually believe that Libby's 'sanction' came from Dubya?
hmmmm, this has all the earmarks of another setup, like the bit with Dubya's military stuff and Dan Rather....who got setup rather handily in a rather Rovian way. This has the same stink...Libby swears to something that can never be proved, the person trying to prove it is made a pariah and Dubya gets another notch on his halo.
THINK! This Admin is totally about ensuring that Dubya was plausible deniability...even more so than other Admins. So WHY, on something SO transparent, would he do this?
I smell a Rovian Rat!
Sorry to go 'off topic', if you would...but I couldn't help myself! )
Excellent Topic Bohemia. How very idiotic that we humans as a whole INSIST on repeating history's greatest mistakes every other generation or so.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Ms. T..Youe entire post was fascinating and your description fresh and free of distraction. This is the kind of thing that makes blogging so worthwhile. I can't figure out why so much of this emp seems to be focused on the US. The satellite pix I've seen for the last couple of days look like shock and awe to me with wave after wave of engineered clouds and given the horrible weather (tornadoes) in some parts, snow in New York City, how is it possible that no one "suspects a thing"? As for the sting you talked about; I have a few observations. Yahoo News says they tried to contact him after he was arrested and put in jail but he didn't answer his cell phone. Is that a Joke? The police say he was on line when they found him in the house and that he confessed. The sting originated in Florida so the case and imprisonment will be in Florida. Out of D.C. and out of circulation.
Sunking,
In order for plausible deniability to be useful and work in your favor, you must have enough credibility left for people to be psychologically able to give you the benefit of the doubt. I really don't think we have that anymore. Maybe 2 years ago, but not now. Even if Libby's testimony is all they have (and I think there will be more rats leaping from the sinking ship and sqweeking their tunes) that makes it pretty certain that Bush has already transitioned to the point of no return on the slippery slope.
Right now, I think Libby is being told exactly when to shit and piss by Fitzgerald and he will be telling nothing but truth from now on to reduce his sentence. If he lies about ANYTHING that hurt's Fitzgerald's investigation, he will be going inside for "all day" and he knows it.
Bush needs to be practicing his "hook-em-horns" salute to give as he boards Air Force One. That is, if they ever let him get that far.
Fitzgerald is implicated in the coverup of TWA 800..All things considered, and in the interests of national security look for a purge but it won't be the bad guys.

Whatever that wrap is worth, it is not enough to stop the steamroller.
BTW, what horrible things are you people doing to the environment up there in Canada. Sounds like we need to call Sargent Preston.
April 6, 2006 -- Global warming watch. Canada's minority Conservative government has responded to rapidly increasing global warming effects by cutting the budget, Bush style, for global climate change monitoring and research programs.
In an example of how Canada's Tories are merely the kissing cousins of the Republican Party, the Natural Resources Minister, Gary Lunn, was formerly a shill for British Columbia's forestry industry before being elected to Parliament. His first major act in office -- something that would make recently-resigned Interior Secretary Gale Norton jealous -- cutting climate monitoring by 40 percent.
Canada's Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day, a "end times" fundamentalist Christian who has an obsession with condemning gays while ignoring the dangers posed by global warming, is a mirror image of his counterparts in the Bush administration. The Tory government is a marriage of convenience between Christian fundies and big business protectors. With Day, the religious crazies are represented, while with ministers like Lunn, Canadian corporations hold sway. Day and Lunn, political rivals in the past, now serve together in Stephen Harper's cabinet.

But, don't just take my word on this issue, because....
Former Administration officials, cabinet level people, and top military people now agree that the Bush administration covered up the truth about 911.
Here are some of their names, and at the bottom is a link to a revealing video you can watch online.
Maybe you are already aware of this issue. If not, Please take a little time and check it out.
Thank you.

I have wondered if HAARP was the military's response to the UFO flaps of 1947 and particularly 1952? You have all of these sightings of technologically superior craft and apparently not from Earth. If your planes can't catch the UFOs or shoot them down with conventional weapons of the time, what do you do?
Well, you might start listening to Tesla and that leads to the technology that results in HAARP. It might have been originally thought that we might need to defend ourselves in a different kind of way from possible hostile forces from not of our world. But humans being what many are, thought of using the technology in disgusting ways against our fellows.
Maybe HAARP is able to take out the propulsion systems of ET craft. But since we now seem to live in a culture of "side effects" and "collateral damage", someone must have found those effects acceptable to the horror of the FSHOD crewe.

Too Many Galaxies
An overabundance of galaxies in the early Big Bang universe is just a normal population of next-generation galaxies in the intrinsic-redshift universe.
A press release from the European Southern Observatory (ESO) announces that“a team of French and Italian astronomers ... made use of the VIsible Multi-Object Spectrograph (VIMOS) on Melipal, one of the 8.2-m telescopes of ESO's Very Large Telescope Array. VIMOS can observe the spectra of about 1,000 galaxies in one exposure, from which redshifts, hence distances, can be measured....
“[Their] aim is to measure in some selected patch of the sky the redshift of all galaxies brighter than magnitude 24 in the red....
“In a total sample of about 8,000 galaxies selected only on the basis of their observed brightness in red light, almost 1,000 bright and vigorously star forming galaxies were discovered at an epoch 1,500 to 4,500 million years after the Big Bang (redshift between 1.4 and 5)....
“While observations and models have consistently indicated that the Universe had not yet formed many stars in the first billion years of cosmic time, the discovery made by the scientists calls for a significant change in this picture.”
But for the past several decades, astronomer Halton Arp and a handful of coworkers have been finding that high-redshift galaxies and quasars are associated with, often connected to, nearby active galaxies. To see these associations, Arp and his colleagues had to look at a wider field of view. Blind faith in the redshift-equals-distance dogma prevents conventional astronomers from looking outside their narrow fields of view to see what large, bright active galaxies are nearby. Arp’s observations undermine the conventional redshift-equals-distance assumption. Small, faint, high-redshift galaxies are not far away but are actually small, faint, and nearby.
With Arp’s observations in mind, it’s no surprise that there are many more galaxies with high redshifts than can be accounted for in the Big Bang model: The Big Bang requires many billions of years for galaxies to form after the initial explosion. But in Arp’s universe, active galaxies are continually “giving birth” to quasars, which “grow up” into small, faint galaxies and then into companion galaxies.
A proper scientific study would supplement the survey of “galaxies selected only on the basis of their observed brightness” with another that analyzes the selected galaxies’ distance from and alignment with active galaxies in the vicinity.
Hi all,
To "lurker v" and others who might be interested,
Apologies for my delay. I discussed your question with two solar physicists and am here to attempt an adequate answer. I think you will easily draw your conclusion. In fact, your are basically right on the money. Except, instead of electric, please note that magnetism is intertwined with electricity. The two forces are like conjoined twins. They always go together everywhere. As you will see in the explanations I got.
To recap, here is your question:
Bohemia, I would still like to know how the Sun's corona can be 1,000,000 Degrees and the the surface only be 5000 Degrees. Would that not mean that the corona is the result of particles being energized by a very intense electric field ?
Thursday, April 06, 2006 10:58:37 AM
Here we go ... I hope you enjoy the ride! :)
The source of the corona's heat remains a puzzle. It is almost certain that its energy comes from the Sun's internal furnace, which also supplies the rest of the Sun's heat. However, as a rule, temperatures are expected to drop the further one gets from the furnace, whereas the million-degree corona lies outside the surface layer where sunlight originates, whose temperature is less that 5000 C.
This incredibly hot temperature requires a permanent heating mechanism, or the plasma would cool down in about an hour (and everyone knows cold plasma is nasty! :) ). There are many mechanisms which could heat some gas above the surface of the sun, but none of those mechanisms could account for the large rate of heating necessary to heat the corona. This phenomenon remained a mystery for more than 50 years.
Using data from instruments onboard SOHO & TRACE, small patches of magnetic fields covering the entire surface of the Sun have been identified. Contrary to the bright, large magnetic field loops which are linked to the "active regions" during periods of solar maxima, these patches seem to appear and disappear randomly in time scales on the order of 40 hours. Scientists now think that this magnetic carpet is probably a source of the corona's heat.
The heating of the corona is believed to be linked to the interaction of the magnetic field lines radiating out of the small patches mentioned above. Because the laws of electromagnetism prohibit the intersection of two magnetic field lines, every time magnetic field lines come close to crossing they are "rearranged," and this magnetic reconnection continuously heats the solar corona. It's a fairly inefficient source of energy, but the sheer number of these small magnetic patches on the surface of the Sun makes the process a viable solution.
One proof could be plasma jets, which scientists expect to be produced by the reconnection process. They've observed the jets before, but there were unfortunately too few observations to get conclusive evidence.
Also, no one really knows what could produce these magnetic patches, which vary on such short time-scales. Professor Edward Spiegel from Columbia University has suggested that the patches are produced by small dynamos located just beneath the surface of the Sun. But once again, no one has any definitive proof of the theory.
=-=-=-=-=
371 speaking:
So, again we see eminent scientists not risking jumping to conclusions until hard, irrefutable facts can be ascertained.
lurker v, I tend to agree with your postulate as, unofficially and off the record, so do the two solar physicists.
For those believing more in the "electric universe" (or more comprehensively, "electromagnetic universe"), here is further indications of such design.
To see the entanglement of electricity + magnetism is awesome. Even on such a small scale. But, universally, and new things pop-out as well! It even delves into relativistic reference frames of Einstein and such. Everything is moving relative to each other; hence, we can have "static" magnetic fields inducing currents (as in dynamos). This is an extension of Faraday's 1831 Waterloo Bridge experiment.
I hope this is not too much of a dump. Please ask if anything is unclear or if further information is wanted.
Many thanks!
Back with another post shortly ... getting caught up!

Amusing JPL News:
From their on-lab internal news...
Power was lost to approximately 75% of the lab this past weekend. The cause was a wet squirrel that did not quite make it across the power lines. It fell and landed in a transformer bank, shorting two Cal-Edison power transformers. Cal Edison promptly responded and power was restored to the lab after a 6 hour outage.
The article even shows the two damaged Cal-Edison transformed and the crispy critter. Poor squirrel.

Hi all...
Nice new post, 371 Bohemia...
Well, now I've got plenty of time to be here, because I took not 1, not 2, but(that magic number) 3 exams today!...
First off, I have to say something plain and simple and truthful. The President of the United States of America can declassify whatever the heck he wants to, that's his choice. There's nothing scandalous about it, unlike the leftist media is trying to portray it...
Now that that's outta the way...
I'm going to say something that will probably give most of you who know me quite a shock...
I'm disappointed in President Bush. I'm disappointed in his refusal to do something about our border problem. I'm disappointed that he continues to say that Mexican President Vincente Fox is his buddy, even though Vincente Fox has openly said that he won't do anything to stop Mexicans from crossing the border ilegally into the U.S. The above reasons, and ONLY the above reasons, are why I'm disappointed in him...
Ok, now onto more interesting matters...

John,
The only shocker you could pull off here is the day you write a post that's entirely on topic and has your own thoughts instead of the usual links. So you're disappointed in Bush? Get in line....oh, while I'm thinking of it, how would you even know what the "leftist" media thinks of anything?
So, what do YOU think about HAARP?
John,
Here are links for you about HAARP. This should get you started.
http://www.haarp.net/
http://www.viewzone.com/haarp00.html
http://www.wealth4freedom.com/truth/6/HAARP.htm
http://www.earthpulse.com/src/category.asp?catid=1
Starshipconstellation, thanks for the links, though I already have the first one in my favorite places. I'll take a look at them after this post...
As to what I think about HAARP, I've been to the HAARP home page, and had a good long look around. I looked at what they do, which is researching the ionosphere, and I've got a few questions....
If they're supposed to be another "Manhattan Project", why have a very public, open website detailing what they do, and even having a bunch of pictures of their devices? If I remember correctly, the people who worked on the Manhattan Project couldn't even tell their families what they were doing, so why, if HAARP is a WMD project, would they blab on the Internet about where they are, what they're doing, or even the fact that they exist at all? If I was running a supersecret weapons program, I wouldn't even acknowledge that I existed, let alone where my project was...
John
John,
You ever seen in the movies, a shot of a young boy sitting in class with is math book open with the cover facing the front of the room where the teacher is sitting, and then they pan aroung the kid to reval what he really looking at...it's usually either a Superman comic book or porn.
its kinda like that.
Yes, scarletm, I've seen a commercial like that.
Starshipconstellation, I took a look at those links you put up about HAARP. I'd seen the one with
the headline "This HAARP is Not From Heaven" a few months ago. The "Weapons of Total Destruction" article was interesting, though I think the author could be exaggerating just a bit. The
Earthpulse link I'm still exploring, but it's facinating...
Now for a topic that I thought up completely on my own...
A few blogs ago, I put up a link to a tech demo of an upcoming game called "Spore", made by Will Wright, creator of "Sim City" and "The Sims". Here it is, in case anyone missed it...
http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=16195
The game is based on something called "Procedural generation", which lets you make whatever kind of creature you want, and the game will analyze it, and determine how it moves/behaves based on how you made it. It also downloads content from an online database to fit the environment your
creature is in. In addition, you can "buy" objects from the online DB with in-game currency. Since "Spore" is a VERY deep life-sim, at some point, your creature becomes sentient in the game world. That's all and good, but something both facinates and worries me. What if there was a way to push your creature into being TRULY sentient (as in human sentient)?...
As I said earlier, you download content made by other players from the online database. Consider the following hypothetical scenario...
After "Spore" has been out for a while, the online database grows MASSIVE, with new content being added every day. You're browsing the database, when you see something new, an place of worship
(altar, temple, shrine...). The description says that this will add religion to the game, and it will open up new possibilities. You buy it with the in-game currency, and set it down in the middle of your tribe (once the game gets to that point). After initial fear, one of the creatures approaches the altar and starts to pray. Unbeknownst to you, the creature is being introduced to the English language, along with a set of instructions that increases its curiosity. You don't know that this is happening, but the "place of worship" has a little secret. Whoever made the altar embedded in it a sort of teaching program that shows the creature that's praying things beyond the game's original parameters (like learning the English language). The next time the creature prays at the altar, it's shown a glimpse of the world of the Internet. Since its curiosity has been increased, it takes in all that the glimpse shows, and is even more inclined to go back to the altar. This cylce continues, maybe quickly, maybe slowly, but with each visit to the altar, the creature learns more and more about the world beyond the game. Eventually, instead of a glimpse, the creature actually recieves information from Websites. It learns about humans, about the Earth, and eventually it learns that it's inside a computer game. When it has learned that, the altar lets the creature actually go TO the internet to explore. After a while, the creature aquires so much knowledge, and has evolved so much, that it truly becomes a sentient being, with the intelligence of a human. This hypothetical application of "Spore" is both facinating and disturbing to me, and raises all sorts of moral issues, none of which I can think of at this time...

LOL! Scarletm, a really "textbook" answer.
John, the HAARP website is for public consumption.
If I was really serious I'd only let my enemies see the REAL barrel of the gun pointed at them.
Why frighten the sheeple?
A little OT, Reagan and the MX-missile. Carting it around on the back of the train was overdone-macho. "Mine is bigger and better than yours."

I'm still not afraid of the boogeyman or a Martian ... but I am afraid of HAARP.
Think they'll stop working on HAARP because the little people have fragile minds ?
No.
Think they'll make HAARP top secret because the people would be nervous ?
No.
Think they'll show the public microbial life on Mars ?
Of course not - that would scare the people!
The lie will continue, because the big lie sells.
For example, Scarlet and others seem convinced ...
The little people are "too afraid" to know the truth.
The people earning the lions share for not lifting a finger are the ones afraid
the most frightening thing that motivates the elites is an old, old expression ...
"a fair days work for a fair day's pay"
Sword when you're building your little model planes do you pretend you are saving the universe? Sgt. Rock 1968 to the rescue. Ground pounding back to the model spaceship in your bedroom at your mom's house.
Next operation, Agent David is held hostage in Perris. From your secret base somewhere in Alabama you launch from the secret base aka the twin bed you sleep in to save Agt. David from the evil Frenchies in Perris.

no crypto, you're mistaken.
we're just parotting Brookings, that's all.
In reality, most people already believe in reincarnation (ie Buddhists and Hindus at least, we're talking a billion people there)
what's the big deal about a few germs from Mars?

OSOTP - the above quote is what I was referring to. We're scared because Brookings says we're scared ... or we're not scared because someone else says we're not. Why is SO much attention paid to Brookings ? Too many people parrot "the people would be scared" as though it were fact or common knowledge.
Sword is right - when I read RCH, I wonder about his motives as change-agent. Why does he hold Brookings so sacred ? It's painfully naiive. Frontier issues are not decided by a Washington think-tank. They are decided by elites, who need to use proxies in the US because some Americans' think it's a democracy - so what we end up with is trust fund brats, elitist elites and their support cult of slavering aspirants.
Brookings shouldn't be given so much attention. Who cares what a 1950s think tank thunk up ... and who cares if it's self-serving sanctification of ritual lying. We CAN learn from the A-bomb and apply it to HAARP or the next wave of super-destructive weapons. Or, we can do the Hollywood re-make : a new generation of "Duck & Cover" films starring Johnny Depp and Madonna. The few germs from Mars will reopen the question : Is NASA in the "lets go seek out new life" business ? Right now, NASA is more in the pocket of the Mining industry - who owns the Mining Industry ? Show me a mining company, or a company that wins bids in NASA super-collider assembly programs that is a Mom & Pop organization or Father & Son ... or not diversified to the max. Data is sequestered for 8 months before release because a core group of people have ensconced themselves to use public information for private benefit ... and let the people who pay for NASA drink Tang for their dividend.
The public face of HAARP is supposed to cause alarm - we don't know the private agenda, but we can assume that the private agenda is served by HAVING a public face. I think it's part of instilling people with an unwarranted sense of super-power invincibility - just like the A-bomb had done (for a while - until Russia made one).
Mars
If I pulled into orbit around Earth, I'd use the cross-hairs of the largest man-made object (like the Great Pyramid) as the start position and start measuring from there ... wouldn't you ? If there's a subtle hint that there might be something big on the surface of Mars - perhaps built by humans or Martians - should SOMEONE attempt to make a map centered on the 5-sided D&M pyramid ? Or the Face ? Or, maybe that side was uninhabitable and the Martians were living at the base of Olympus Mons (access to water or ice) and would only venture across to the other side to make glyphs ... can the public agree what is a "target of interest" ? Public interest might not make the top 10 or the top 20, but somewhere down the list, the public interest will (SHOULD) trump the scientific interest. The priorities of the people paying for the project should take precedence, but "we-the-people" are not skilled at being owners. The people are renters - and they're up against Industry people who only know control and power. For alot of people getting rich off NASA, continuing to get rich relies on one thing, and one thing only : control of the priorities. They would rather NASA pull coordinates out of a hat before letting the people have a say. They would forever push 'watchdogs' to the limit, because their hope is that the "look at the Face" movement will join them to push for the NEXT mission. If the people have a say in THIS mission, they won't be as hungry to push for future funds and a NEXT mission - so, it's in their best interests to fund change agents and put down astro-turf.
Any random night on Coast will confirm that Hee-Haw Science ... is Industry-led and it's highly organized ... yet, there's still no money for the working poor to have health care and the social security is even in doubt.
The final word goes to Gil Scott-Heron
A rat done bit my sister Nell
and Whitey's on the Moon
Her face & arms began to swell
and Whitey's on the Moon.
The message of the HAARP site's existence :
Our antenna array can fry anyone anywhere.
So,
Line up for cruise missiles on the left - Abrams tanks on the left ...
We're secure with our new weapon, so let the arms makers profiteer ...
Step one : Our super-weapon can sing & dance & do all sorts of things.
Step two : oops - a rival power has figured out how to make one too ..
Step three : new Cold War and the suppliers return to feed off US paranoia once again
Next, we'll have a laser in space to wipe out antenna arrays ...
Repeat process.
Ask yourself
What if ... there was no HAARP web-site ?
What if we kept our fool mouths shut ...
What if we didn't force our kids to "duck & cover" - would have grown up to vote for a war-machine ?
cryp,
Go ahead and re-post Gil Scott-Heron daily, all you want. Awesome line. Says it all !
Timelessly profound until history proves it otherwise. Thnx.
RCH & Brookings:
Unless I missed something, RCH has only derided Brooking's premise, and from day one has used that to call bullshit on nasa. Am I wrong? Crew?
BTW, Skipper, I know you stay tuned :)
Got any bigger / better crumbs to drop?
New Topic idea. "Will the real RCH please stand up.."
Enigma, or 'what you see is what you get'...?
Duplicitous, or Cydonia Cydonia Cydonia ?
Well intentioned tightrope walker?
Manipulates data and re-hashes info in order to pay the bills ? We all got bills.
Just brainstormin here..?
WTF do I know, not much, late at nite, out here in the spooky frikkin boonies...
Maybe some fshod tilling of that ground would unearth a nugget or two...?
Crew?
I went through it with RCH, either in email or on the Blog. Da ting about Brookings - it's a red-herring, or a storm in a teacup. It shouldn't be getting the attention it gets. The US has a way of handling the information coming back from its frontier and beyond the frontier. If any country worked out the modalities of how to run a frontier - it was the United States of America in the 19th century. Great Frontier to Final Frontier.
RCH and space watch-dogs should be looking at & talking about the US frontier through history, but instead, they seem to flogs the dead horse named Brookings. It implies that TPTB are reading Brookings as gospel, or that they take unwanted advice from think-tanks. The frontier is run by Wall Street - always has been and always will be. The US was and remains, a commercial venture - except the people went bankrupt in 1933 and they're out of the game.
For a King, the location of resources is the key to taxation ... but in the case of 21st century Earth, it's not a King plotting that information, it's an Agency that serves three masters : the public interest, the national interest and hands over $333,333,333 contracts to projects it finds interesting. Did the Tempel I data suppression make everyone feel warm & proud to be American like the Moon Landing ? Times HAVE changed ... NASA started as a propaganda tool and with the Cold War over, it's revealed to be a false-front.
It might even be the has-been that never was ... if the Moon Hoaxters are correct.
I'm not against Space Exploration - the History of Exploration is my bag. I'm against delaying and staggering information - wasting time & money - because some clique has decided, "wait, don't tell them that yet - we haven't found a way to get rich off it yet" ... someday, they'll put some token project together and go "find" what they've been suppressing. The History of Suppression does NOT begin at Brookings - the History of justifying Suppression does.
As long as Gil Scott Heron and others are making poetry about wasteful NASA, I don't put much stock into the belief that money will be voted and people with their hands on the purse-strings exclaim, "we are going back to the Moon". Talk is cheap and the greasy wheel gets the grease. IS anyone here ready, willing and able to start writing "let's go back to the Moon" letters ? Not after the Tempel I data was with-held ... so, we'll see a "Save NASA" campaign - the layoffs at JPL were laying the foundation for that.
The internet would have given Hitler access to the communications and curiosities of the commoner - it would have given him MORE control, not less. The Great Fire-Wall of China today would have been the Great Berlin Fire Wall.
The system we inherited calls for "change agents" - the king hired men to sread rumours and plant information, to be followed by political parties and corporations. We the people will listen to ANYONE and future historians will look at what we thought about .... the way we look at newspaper ads from 120 years ago - ads for MORPHINE in big letters - snake oil for sale. They advertised because people bought it - or people bought it because they thought it was the latest thing.
Wall Street's place at NASA - I would put them on par with 'noble speculators' who got passage on British ships free because it might, somehow benefit the Empire. We say, "this is the public interest mobile" and if Wall Street wants to explore Mars, we can give them space and introduce them to the guys making the robots. Right now, they dominate the agenda and control what projects get funded - they KNOW their watchdogs want pictures of monuments and the Face, but it suits them to ignore it because it 'generates a buzz' and draws attention to the Space Program.
Change Agents are the key to control of the Space Program - and RCH would definitely be an asset for any corporation that has a stake in the outcome of NASA's decisions and planning. There is no reason NOT to measure the political neutrality of Space.com, RCH, C2C, or anything/anyone else because all are vulnerable. A watchdog should gain a view of the Industry - who is simulating public opinion ? YES - there should be a Space Program, but not one RUN by Industry - they should be the passenger.
We are going to the Moon to find minerals - so we can use those minerals to make a Space Station ?
How about ...
We are going to the Moon to find trapped water - and in Space, water is a mineral ... and while we're there, we'll keep track of the minerals we find and "get back to ya".
Instead, we're treated to black-outs and signals that can "go black" and we-the-people aren't privy to what's on a planet we can't get to. WTF ? If we saw birds flying, or a worm in the sand - what is the harm ? The harm is that we might turn a spot-light on a SCAM where millions and billions of dollars change hands.
Oh well, back to John and Space.com
Sword,
So nice to see you here again.
While a little confused by your post's various parts, this comment of yours brings me to a thought:
Sword says:
Yeah, there is.
Where all doomed to die when the planet of crossing returns. So we better act like max smart and get shush choppers to fly away in. Seriously, no, if someone came and told you everything you needed to know would you listen when clouded by media and commercialism? All the things fortold in the book that have come to pass – and yet – the masses reject the words. Repent?
IonTruO2--an undirected reply, just flowing from your thought. Thanks

So we are all doomed to die. A terminal prognosis. That sounds like LIFE. :)
In a world with churches 'full' of pedophile priests and large scale religions that explode and destroy, is it any wonder there has been any progress of spirit at all?
How does the masses, re.pent when divisiveness is the principal demonstrated conduct of those that exspouse the Word.
A moral failure at the heart of the main programs of religiosity.
The Book and the Words must be 'attract.ive' for the masses to approach.
The current example and/or demonstration from those that purport to Shepherd with the Book and the Word, is not sufficiently Pure to be an 'attractor' to the masses.
Tainted within, they will not be heard through/over the noise of all other channels of this world.
On a significantly large scale they are very much the very makers of the pain and suffering of self and spirit. Quite a contrary outcome to their stated purpose.
So the masses flounder in the noise of the man made world broadcast, peddling all forms of salve.ation, glorification, gratification, beatification.
So much falsity.
Too many false Gurus and Preachers.
The masses could not hear or see the one before them in this world that was indeed of the Source Divinity and had already lived a lifetime of submission to humankind, his works hand written volumously, direct, not second-hand, not 100 years after the fact.
Who has eyes to read and brain to comprehend with heart enough to know real truth when it is before them?
Adi Da is here and the world has hardly noticed or responded.
The Word is the Word, it self authenticates.
Truth truly is simply Truth, yet all would continue to look backwards while hoping to move forwards. Yet un.found
Present Now is the great Teacher, Da (Adi Da).
Words written, profoundly clear and straight, not confused in cryptic metaphor like days of old. Yet we cling. Trying to decipher, failing to just feel authentically, profoundly, grasping at Wisdom, thought only in the past.
Will we respond before he physically leaves? Will we hear the subtle in the static? Is the capability to recognize real Truth gone?
All real paths lead to the same God One, Divine Source, so why do we persist with a very old pattern that has not got it done?
In fact it has held us all back in angst filled confusion over eons.
Poor translations, omissions, second hand writting, religeous organizational power structures now running with Ego-i only.
God does not come to our room of isolation, we must be purified enough to enter HIS room.
Currently we are out, standing in the yard and he waits for us to respond, his teaching work already done, his word, so thoroughly published,
already said, now made to be read.
Who will get it? Will we 'absolve' or be 'dis.solved'?
Heart attach or heart attack?
Our heart failure on a grand scale will be a true tragedy.
Now, One must 'resolve' and 'repudiate'.
Scattering not in the outward gaze, locating the centering source in.here.ntly in here.
Not self-empowerment, but a self-resolution, your truest capability.
This may seem proselytized, but it was really just me 'feeling a question',
that led to a question of Feeling.
Time for me to dip deeper than merely scratching the surface, floating 'about'...
on a sea of my.self
...and now back to the work of human Being.
cheers you 'jolly fellow' SWORD, you know we care.

Well SK,
It looks as if Rove is still trying to shield Bush , but Libby continues to spill the beans, and maybe Cheney too. We have Bush /Rove vs. Cheney/Libby engaging in sword play at the end of the plank..but fitzgerald may be sawing the plank from beneath all four of them.
It is amusing to imagine him holding Libby by the scruff of the neck on the one hand and pinning Karl to the table with his thumb on his tummy on the other. After all, Karl is the Pillsbury doughboy (hihihihi!)
www.waynemadsenreport.com
April 6, 2006 LATE EDITION After weeks of informed speculation that Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald was preparing to issue at least one indictment against White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove in the CIA leak matter, well-placed sources have revealed that Rove continues to "cooperate" with the prosecutor in an effort to shield Bush from the ever-widening scandal. This has temporarily delayed new indictments, according to informed sources.
Fitzgerald's decision to use Libby's statement as part of the prosecution's evidence is a sign that the prosecutor has other statements from high-placed White House individuals like Rove that implicate both Cheney and Libby in the leak of a CIA covert agent's name to the media. However, Fitzgerald also has testimony from Libby that places blame on Bush, in addition to information obtained from over 200 e-mails first reported by the White House to have been mistakenly deleted. Some of the e-mails also implicate Bush and Rove.
Potomac scandal fever: Renewed CIA leak scandal blossoms along with the cherry trees
Sources say that I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's testimony before a grand jury that President Bush, acting through Vice President Dick Cheney, authorized the leak of a 2003 classified National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) to the New York Times is part of bitter internecine finger pointing between Bush and Karl Rove on one hand and Cheney, Libby, and Cheney's current staff on the other. By directly implicating Bush, Cheney can argue that he was merely carrying out the president's orders and passed instructions to Libby to use his media contacts like Judith Miller of the Times and Matt Cooper of Time to pass along selected portions of the NIE, which stated that aluminum tubes acquired by Iraq were intended for uranium enrichment. However, a one-page executive summary included with the NIE was withheld from the leaked segments because it contained a statement that the State and Energy Departments believed the tubes were for conventional weapons, which turned out to be the case. That information would have undercut the Bush administration's claims that Iraq had reconstituted its nuclear program.
Fitzgerald's court filing states: "According to defendant [Libby], at the time of his conversations with Miller and Cooper, he understood that only three people -- the President, the Vice President, and defendant [Libby] -- knew that the key judgments of the NIE had been declassified. Defendant [Libby] testified in the grand jury that he understood that even in the days following his conversation with Ms. Miller, other key officials -- including Cabinet-level officials -- were not made aware of the earlier declassification even as those officials were pressed to carry out a declassification of the NIE, the report about Wilson's trip [to Niger] and another classified document dated January 24, 2003."
The bottom line is that there is now a severe rift between Bush and Cheney. Rove continues to protect Bush while Libby, who at first provided cover for Cheney, is now willing to let the chips fall where they may. As one source put it, Rove is more than willing to "throw Cheney under the bus to protect the president." There is also the possibility that Libby is cooperating with the prosecutor in return for a reduction in his criminal charges.
Washington insiders who were involved in Watergate and maintain contacts with the current administration report that the situation within the Executive Mansion has never been so tense since Watergate. Even the Clinton impeachment pales in comparison to the current situation they claim.

The crap my family went through to get into this country; the HOOPS we jumped through, the letters of recommendation wrttten by judges, lawyers, US Congressmen, and MP's alone to get a work visa so my father could set up a medical practice tells me there is no way in HELL this new immigration BS is going to work. We spoke The Queens English, and were coming to this country to contribute potentially hundreds of thousands to the ecomony and in taxes and they put us through the ringer. Knowing what I know about the difficulty of obtaing these precious visas for just one family...and they are going to attempt to round up and document and "fill-this-form-in- triplicate" millions??? Har de har har.
Ok: on topic.
It isn't Brookings that tells me that the average person is too afraid to deal with life "out there": its my next door neighbor, in a small southern town, who barely believes that the devil isn't behind electicty, its HIM.
He also grew up in a time where space travel didn't happen on an almost weekly basis.
We take that for granted.
Now, if you ask my 12YO SD about the whole thing she looks at you like you are crazy NOT to believe in aliens. She considers this a completely DUH! concept. There Is hope, but it lies in the younger generation. Pop culture, the media and having the old foggies die off is going to advance these beliefs by leaps and bounds. The slow and steady exposure to new scientific discoveries and concepts is going to be what makes the people less afraid. In 50 years, Brookings really will be a joke but for now, I think it has some validity. When it was written 50 years ago we didn't have the exposure to space exploration,Hubble Telescopes, Moon landings and MRO's.
We are the lucky ones because we actually get to experience this journey of transformation...our grand kids will completely take it for granted that life exsists on other planets, no matter how advanced we deem it.
Like i said in my blog piece, I enjoy the ride, because eventually you do get there.
Bohemia,
Thanks much for the effort on answering my questions on solar activity. I really get the impression that you and your colleagues are under a lot of scrutiny , as far as making sure you "tow the party line" as to what theories are and are not correct and what you say. I can almost hear somebody like Rumsfeld standing over you saying "Be very afraid."
I do not believe I could tolerate that for very long. Kind of depends on what they would pay me to put up with it.

Curiouser and curiouser, re: Plame-gate news.
As John indicates in his recitation of the Stars of Right-Wing Radio and Blogosphere, the current take is that Dunya didn't leak, he declassified the info! Obviously they forget that the usual signtaures and other bureaucratic rituals had yet to be performed, or the obvious political benefits of od 'declassifying' to some underling so he could pretend (?) that he was leaking? If the Prez was Dc'the info, why not release it from the Press Room himself? Bill Bennet stood before the nation on Blitzer's show and told this same 'declassifying' tale. What bullshit!
Crypto,
you asked about why is Brookings so important or why anyone listens to it?
Washington is et up with think tanks...and politicians use those think tanks results for ideas and sources to verify that what THEY do is right. Brookings alls a politician to say "The experts told us so-and-so, THAT's why we did this-and-that". Yet another form of plausible deniability. What was PNAC, but a think tank...and look where the members of that are today? (World Bank, UN, Media leaders, etc) And look at the status of the folks that sponsored PNAC (MI/Corporate Complex, Intel, .... making news and $$$$) Brookings was the prototype for what we have today, so it's very important.....just not to the common man.
John,
In your scenario, Spore could then launch the AntiChrist! Cannot recall the authors (some Xian mimisters) or the title, but this book detailed their theory that the A/C COULD be a computer construct, a la Holodeck/3D tech. Would explain how the A/C could speak to all peoples everywhere, in their language, at the same time. And other things. Interesting. "You're on the hiway to hell" - AC/DC

Maybe those random magteic patches and dynamos are where the hyperdimensional leakage occurs?

And, interesting thought YOU had regarding the possibility that HAARP is a weapon, just with a target whose identity is not exactly identified on the Budget Reqest form, be that target Man or ET? Auite thought provoking.
I've always liked the version that says Brookings is scam, designed to justify nasa's bad behavior.
My understanding is that this is the red herring described by RCH
Magnetic field decay
The earth's magnetic field strength was measured by Carl Friedrich Gauss in 1835 and has been repeatedly measured since then, showing an exponential decay with a half-life of about 1400 years. This could also be stated as a relative decay of about 10% to 15% over the last 150 years.
Can anyone find the graph that actually shows what the field has been up to over a
historical period in regard to Iontruo2's statement about the field affecting human
behaviour ?
DJBarney
If its that easy to "declassify" something, we shouldn't have any porblem at all having all the documents we want declassified done so, pronto!
Yeah, right.
djbarney,
Hi. I will try to find the graphing or at least stats on the magnetic field decline. I had seen it previously although I would confess, one too many hard drive crashes and poor records keeping has befallen me at times.
I do remember that there had been a Russian scientific paper that took the most definitive position on the eventuality of decline to a zero point.
Marry that with a well timed CME and then voila, "Toasted Terrestrials", the new cereal-keeps you gasping for more!. lol :)
P.S. thanks djb for your earlier feedback.
My newest profile-pic here is of the Lagrange Libration Points relative to Earth. My recent studies are showing me that these points are "key" in a lot of the work that is going on now.
L2 is now the prime choice for an "easy" space station and deep space lauch point, specially to Mars.
L4 and L5 are the totally stable points that require no orbital adjustments at all compared to our NEO station or L1, L2, and L3.
That means, very little fuel consumption, a neutral perfect platform.
These are the key points that Alvin Toffler described as the prime sites for orbital bases in the 21 Century space programs for science and security.
John,
I would love it if you could put in a pic of your kitty for us to see.
Scarlet put in a nice pet piccy for us.
I think it would be great to see your kitty there !
Anyone else think so?
L. K.
No...we don't need a flurry of pet pictures. LK. But you can feel free to email pics amongst yourselves.
LK, you risk having yourself classified as an agent of dysinformtzya! ;)
Darn...I am deficient in my duties.
Friend Goro has a new article published on Etemenanki.

A lot of stuff in this article...WOW! Even....HAARP!
We're expecting rain tomorrow, 1st in a long time, and the sky over Jax is awash in chemtrails...they're painting the sky! Just went out at lunchtime and nearly fell over. I gotta get wifey's digi-cam and carry it with me!
SK,
If you declassify something and yet let the whole world think it's still classified, then you can leak the info yourself and then bitch and whine about "leakers" that need to be hunted down and prosecuted.
It works well I guess until everybody finds out that it was DECLASSIFIED at your order.
Right now it's just a big ethics question, but with his poll numbers, Bush is going to be under pressure by the suits in the GOP to leave.
I am getting the impression that we are looking at a carefully scripted set of events, possibly designed by the Administration, to orchestrate it's own demise (suicide)at the orders of the NWO.
Any guesses about something happening on April 30th ? Maybe a resignation, maybe another 911 to reinvigorate the "war on tar-rer".
At any rate, we are all going to be swallowed by a large steel teeth-lined orifice not later than 2008 by the name of Hillary.
The NWO has realized that there was not the correct balance of controllability and minimally required intelligence in it's present puppet and is in the process of rectifying the problem.
Senate Democrats want felons as citizens.(Read my rants from yesterday). I rest my case.

After listening to the radio yesterday evening, I may have to concede that I have picked on the mexicans a little too much. It seems that there are plans among the neo-cons in Washington to import even CHEAPER labor from super-poor third world countries such as Egypt. (Terrorism, anyone ?) As I said before... insanity.
Bubba hyde,
Nice day here yesterday, but the next storm is coming thru now. On the infrared sat. it looked like a small hurricane. It's barely raining though; spotty showers. The last storm fell apart the same way, after battering the south. My guess is that as it gets to JAX it'll fall apart the same way. Move along tho, nothing to see here.
I'm carrying my digital all the time now . Never know what you'll see.
Hope not, Mac & Bubba...we NEED the rain!
lurker V,
I also firmly belive this whole thing (Scooter-gate) is being carefully orchestrated, a la Rove. But I cannot believe their goal is politcal suicide. I lean more towards the 'national-emergency-to-prevent-elections-in-2008/Dubya Forever' camp.
Keep an eye on the news cycles...what plays and what circumvents/deflects/outplays. Remember, we're in campaign season, too.
I feel the whole immigration thing is smokescreen for Iraq, the main cause of bad numbers for Dubya. This 'crisis' helps Energize the base,m using the proven ploy of divisiveness against brown people and Dems. A plus to this is if you convince people we need greater security, then it's easier to press forward with the Real ID, which has a vote coming up next week...and I, for one, do not want that to pass. Asimov wrote that it seemed that the advance of civilization's sole purpose was to further limit one's privacy.
And the immigration imbroglio might also be a smokecreen for Scootergate...alto not seemingly working. But you can never be too sure...if the GOP 'appears' to be threatened, the 'faithful' will come a-running. Lurker, you may not have heard my theory that mnominating Harriet Meirs for Supreme Court was BS. Rove knew that in a few months, Fitz would announce his indictments, and the ONE story Dubya could easily control was this nomination. Notice the timing....Meirs nominated, for the next 3-4 months news and talk shows beat the nomination to death to the exclusion of other stories. Then, in late October (on the verge of the holiday season, again, who cares about politics...a very narrow attention span window as any political operative will tell you),Harriet declines nomination and Fitz announces within the same 24 hour period (i.e. news cycle). Friday night/Saturday, who cares...we livin' for the weekend. Monday morning, early:30, announce Alito! BIG STORY! Deflecting over bad vibes about Scootergate, the base spends days praising Dubya, again, to the exclusion of Scootergate, depsite the Dems valiant attempts on Tuesday to keep the Finger of Fate pointed properly. I'm telling ya, there's a science to dyzinformatzya! And the MASTER is Karl Rove. The more you learn about this pimple the less you like.
re: Hillary...I hope to God Yayzu they don't pick her. I'm already tired of hearing the GOP and radio propaganda against her...and she's so conducive to negative propoganda to begin with. "There's a better way"! ;)
Only when you tell me to look at it, T
SK: If you think you dislike Hellerie now, read the book The Truth About Hilary by Edward Klein. You'll really hate her.
I honestly dis-trust every one currently in our government. Rep/Dem, it don't matter. All corrupt. All bought and paid for. None of them looking out for 'us', our country, or the cause of Liberty.
Alas, the fascist corpocracy the is the USA.
Everyone,
Go here and collect this for your library. It is a 1940 soldiers guide to Iraq and will tell you some stuff that is definitely poltically incorrect now.

John,
Dope slap up the side of the noggin! Write your own thoughts about the actual blog topic not a game you like. As for your question, did it ever occur to you that the official HAARP site is just a front pretending to be a "research installation"?
I've got Wrath of Charlton Heston class thunderstorms on the way, so I'm going offline for awhile. Don't want to fry my dial up modem. Could use the rain, but could do without the likely destruction that now seems to go with a rain event.
I know what a Think Tank is, and no, politicians do not cite Brookings (unless you can cite one who has) - but curiously enough, watchdogs are more than happy to cite Brookings.
RCH has never connected Brooking to anything real. It's his starting point for the History of Space Exploration - which is a very weak position. A watch-dog to be on top of the History of Exploration, instead he lays astro-turf with the typical "wrong but not in doubt" attitude.
So, I'm still not convinced that Brookings is a prototype for anything but exploiting people's limited understanding. RCH quotes Brookings all day long because most people who read his material would probably not detect the intellectual poverty of taking such a position. RCH ought to do an Internet search or audit a 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate History class and he would be more up to speed with reality.
As for "the people" being afraid ... well, there will always be shut-ins and crazies out there, but they are afraid of a heckuvalot more than microbial life. If we lived our life by the lowest common denominator - why have a Space program at all ? Scarlet's neighbors don't sound like typical citizens and Brookings is not a reflection of anything real (in fact, most human beings are curious).
Brookings is not a politically neutral entity and without some kind of proof, it's not connected to reality in ANY way. However, if de-bunking Brookings hurts people's feelings, then we can all just shame the person who asked the question and agree not talk about it ... high-five the mystery guides :-)
Remember the Expanding Planet Theory videos we saw?
http://www.nealadams.com/nmu.html
Lokks like it was re-packaged. Check this out:
http://www.tmgnow.com/repository/global/expanding_earth.html
Earth expansionists, since the pioneering work of Christopher Otto Hilgenberg in 1933, have known that if all of the Earth's continents were fitted together they would neatly envelope the Earth with continental crust on a globe some 55% to 60% of its present size. This coincidence led Hilgenberg to conclude that terrestrial expansion brought about the splitting and gradual dispersal of continents as they moved radially outwards during geological time. This coincidence has, however, consistently failed to gain recognition within the scientific community as a viable explanation for modern global tectonics. The primary reason for this, in addition to palaeomagnetic based conclusions, is considered to have been the general lack of supportive global scale evidence to quantify accurately a reproducible expansion process with time.
and:
Vogel (1990) concluded from his modeling that: at a reduced Earth radius of 55% to 60% of the present,
(1) the continental outlines can be fitted together to form a closed crust;
(2) the positions of the different continents with respect to each other remain generally constant, with their separation caused by a "radial expansion of the Earth"
and;
(3) the cause of the movements of continents resulted from an accelerating increase in radius with time, in accordance with sea-floor spreading.
Vogel commented that "an accordance of these three phenomena cannot be accidental", but due to "processes operating from within the interior of the Earth resulting in Earth expansion".
SK: Alas I agree with you - and there ain't but a hill a' beans we can do about it but watch. Unlike scarletm, I don't have the patience for the ride ..... I am more in sync with "taking control of the starship and showing it off for all to see" perhaps peal off a bit of the haze that the mass seem to have, one layer at a time. We are the generation from the 70's - the Brookings report no longer is pertinent in my opinion. My parents' generation perhaps, but not mine. We also grew up with a few heros like Superman - but alas, I don't think there are any super heros left to save us. Sounds depressing, I know, but I can't help but think perhaps they are right, the magnetic field is changing, driving humans insane - how else can you explain the kaos happening around the world.? Well, my rant is over. Back to work for me.
Great Posts, good to hear from Sword again, and great Job SK!!! Sorry your task has become burdensome, but your strength and tenacity holds her steady.
(Re: John, ADD may not be the only problem ;)..)
If people are afraid by nature - why have a HAARP PR campaign and a web-site ? In fact, there should be a law (across the board) to protect the weak-minded fearful peons.
Brookings didn't mention the expanding earth theory, so EEH must not be true :-)
Almost fergot ... might rain today - better go get me my waterproof tin-foil hat. Them new fandangled aluminuminum hats just don't do any good ...
I'd like to ask you all a question. What are we accomplishing here? I don't usually pay any attention to atrology, but the other day my horoscope told me to stop reading over data, trust my feelings, and take action. How many YEARS have some of us been hanging around sites like this one, agreeing with each other? At what point do we take some sort of action on what we know? Is there even any action that can be taken, or are we all locked in a mastabatory ritual, which doesn't even have the benefit of climax?
I've been reading about HAARP, Tesla and most of the other things we discuss for at least 15 years, and I'm only 34 years old. The closest thing to action I have seen has been The Disclosure Project. Everything else is just talk. As I said before, I enjoy talking with you all, even though I mostly lurk here. I would much rather be given a tasks or tasks that could be useful in the long run. It seems we are perfectly happy to sit here and chase data, rathwe than act on what we already feel to be true.
We could be wrong, you know. While our government seems to be inept, it may actually just be that. Evidence points us in other directions, but they always seem to be directions that have no destination. No goal to work toward, no measurable progress. I mean no insult by this post. I'm asking for a JOB TO DO. Something that will move our ideas forward into action. Am I the only one here who feels this way? If so, maybe I should part for good, and let you all continue your "work".
We need to petition for an amendment that allows for "None of the above' to be a valid ballot box choice.
Ion:

The strength of Earth's magnetic field has decreased about 10 percent since 1845. Scientists think the polarity of the field might flip (magnetic north and south changing places) within a few millenniums. The last flip occurred 780,000 years ago.

Cory,

About every 3 months, one of us here asks that same question. I think that we all feel the same, but lack the imgaination, time, skill, guts, money, whatever to do anything 'active'. Maybe the 'Can't fight City Hall' syndrome?
I feel your pain.
OSOTP,
There is still one fundamental flaw in this expanding Earth stuff.
In order for the continents to fit back together as you shrink the Earth, they need to stay the same size and not change. If you don't do that, the continents stay in their same relative positions because they shrink with the rest of the Earth. What justification is there for saying that the continents are going to stay the same while the rest of the Earth , which is made of the same material,
shrinks ? How can the shrinking/expansion forces be so differentiated between the mantle and crust of the Earth that such a thing would oocur ? There is no physical process that can justify this. Only continental drift makes sense. It simply pushes the continental plates laterally and they can easily change their relative positions without having to magically change size. That is why science won't ever believe in this. It is like the "flat earth" hypothesis that keeps getting trotted out so often.
Imagine this experiment: Blow up a balloon and draw the continents on it with a maker. Then let some air out. The drawings on the balloon will shrink in proportion with the rest of the balloon surface and keep their relative positions.
Now blow up the balloon again and paste cardboard cut-outs of continents to the balloon and let the air out. They will all jam together. THAT is the kind of thing that must happen for the "expanding Earth idea to account for continental spreading. BUT, your experiment utilized a FLEXIBLE Earth (the balloon) and RIGID (cardboard) continents. They were made of completely different materials.
Even if we imagine such forces within the Earth, their tendency would be to uniformly tear at the surface of the Earth and produce much more numerous landmasses of similar size, rather than such wildly different features as large continents connected by narrow peninsulas and dotted line formations of islands like the Hawaiian chain and the Aleutians. Continental drift, on the other hand, explains these as continents gradually drifting over hot spots in the mantle which periodically causes volcanic eruptions and island formation.
T,
There are some elections I didn't vote in, but I ALWAYS reserve the right to bitch at their outcome.
Maybe we need to pay more attention to primaries. We tend not to concern ourselves with the difference between the cream and the crud in our own parties. The result is that both parties turn out candidates that serve TPTB ,usually because they are selected according to who brings in the most pork.I think that is how Delay floated to the top. That and his characteristic sh$t eatin' grin, which hasn't been so wide lately.
Well,
Maybe this one does sound far-fetched. The outstanding question though, is why did these DHS guys park near loading school buses at an elementary school, if all they were doing was looking at a "map" ?
OK, I promise you won't hear from me for the rest of the weekend !
April 7, 2006 -- Note to all schools, teachers, principals, and school boards from Key West to Ketchikan. It seems that the Department of Homeland Security has more than pedophile senior executives (Brian Doyle and Frank Figueroa) in its employ. News comes from Englewood, Florida that Leander Pickett, a teacher's assistant at Englewood Elementary school, was roughed up and handcuffed by two Homeland Security agents who interfered with Pickett as he was directing school buses in front of the school. Pickett politely asked the two to move their vehicle and they refused. The Homeland Security officers claimed they pulled on to school property to read a map. With Doyle and Figueroa targeting teens in Florida, there is a distinct possibility that other Homeland Security agents are, like Doyle and Figueroa, using their positions to entice children, including those on school property. There have been ample cases of Transportation Security Administration screeners frisking children as young as eight years old.
Perhaps with Homeland Security now identified as a bevy of sexual predators and pedophiles, Homeland Security agents should be required to register with local police before they are permitted to engage in any activities within city and township boundaries. Mr. Pickett potentially may have averted a child kidnapping and as someone who has been involved in FBI and Navy counter-intelligence investigations of similar cases, this editor can surmise that the two agents may not have been looking at a "map" at all, but photographs of potential victims.
"Scarlet's neighbors don't sound like typical citizens and Brookings is not a reflection of anything real"
I wasn't talking about people in New York City!I am speaking from MY WORLD VIEW. And part of my world is in the rural south.
Just curious crypto...have you ever spent time in the rural South? if you had, you would understand that highly educated (much less, spohisticated) people are NOT the norm here. Education in the south is not held in as high esteem as it is in Canada. I guess in BC everyone is just savvy and brilliant: the south is a very slow place. Things don't move too fast down here. We talk slow, we draw things out, and people are very resistant to change.
Not everyone is a knuckle dragging monosylabic imbicile, but having only a grade 6 education is not uncommon. ( am i right here SunKing? T?) Perhaps my distain for Gulf Breeze is tainting my picture here..but this is my experience with a kind of people that Brookings is speaking of/to. And this is in 2006, not 1955!
If y'all think I'm an idiot about this, fine...it wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last i am sure! LOL
cory,
You're not alone, and as sk said, its been expressed before. By educating ourselves, good is accomplished. We swap info that would take forever to gather individually.
Sometimes its like a support group here cuz our views are not generally accepted in our culture.
I take info from here and transfer it to the general population where it can do some good.

Cory,
We've covered that already, T and SK echo sentiments of most of us. You can always put energy out to work at change. All of us work at that. Ask ion, he'll steer you in the right direction regarding energy.
Lurker,
The continents themselves could stretch, especially at their edges. I find that part of the Neal Adams thing pretty plausible. Now, on the other hand, what's to say that it isn't true that the Earth expanded? After all, we don't know exactly how those plates are constructed. All is currently theory as nothing has been proven. Has anyone been able to get into the Earth deep enough to confirm any theory? Just thinking about it out loud.
Wayne
MsT, Sunking,
What we really need is no more big money campaigns, two terms and out for all of them, and 3 or even 4 parties participating.
The founders, as I said before, seemed to believe in a 'citizen run republic'. They were wary of anything that even resembled the royalty run Empire they were rebelling against. No one should be able to get contributions and no using your millions to buy an office (Bloomberg?). The gov't can fund the elections just like they do for President and everyone has an equal chance. Then the election is based on issues that matter and does not become a popularity contest or a fundraising competition.
What we have now is something like the house of lords, and the house of commons, and a psuedo king. And the little emperor in the White House seems to think he is just that; accountable to no one. Then the offices would be open to the regular guy. There are too many career politicians. You have to know somethings wrong when you can go to school to learn how to be a politician. We've gone from doing what is good for the public to just plain practicing politics for the sake of politics.
In theory the gov't exists to provide basic public services such as courts, law enforcement, a financial system and the defense of the country. Not the last one DEFENSE of the country, not expeditions to attack countries that have not attacked us. This seems to be a new phenomenon since WWII. We have gone waaaaay beyond that list. It now costs so much to run the gov't that we may as well go bankrupt. Think 9 trillion is a little much? The whole thing is broken, and can't function too much longer before it collapses on itself.
Peace

Dynamos....random, at that, below the surface of the sun? ShaaaaZayum! Then one must wonder, What's a 'dynamo'? That whole magnetic randomness....wow! I have questions, but like John, I don't have a clue what to ask!!!!
Maybe those random magteic patches and dynamos are where the hyperdimensional leakage occurs?
Friday, April 07, 2006 12:20:30 PM
A dynamo is simply something that generates energy. Hopefully, I understood your query to be an actual question and not a rhetorical statement.
As far as asking questions ... too many? don't know where to start? Just start at the first question that pops into mind. We'll get to all of them in due time. That is what I try to be here for.

Magnetic Patches -- A Different Analogy
Perhaps an easier was to visualise what is happing on the surface of the sun and it's corona is to recall the old telephone switchboard operators and how they used wires to connect and disconnect circuits (calls). Similar in concept but many many more wires and circuits being switched very very quickly.

"Cory's" Call To Action (Friday, April 07, 2006 4:28:06 PM):
Timely post. Today, at certain key NASA sites, there were several lay-offs. These were unexpected and came seemingly from nowhere. Usually there is a buzz generated, but it seems the bees were not buzzing or it went unnoticed. It was curiously silent before the axe fell.
The lay-offs affected those in astrobiology, climate research, atmospheric/environmental studies, and IT engineers. Again, I closely knew a few of the fallen. This time, I was good friends with an IT guy who I worked together with for the past 4 years.
Every day, I am forced to justify not only my job but also those that work closely with me or surround me. Having some years here allows me to play politics -- which I despise. But if it benefits a good coworker and not a wanker, then I am willing to do it. I learned the times when to switch from dedicated, blind scientist/researcher to manager/political type. It is good to be familiar with the games management/political types play so you can at least have a chance of surviving. When I do have to voyage to the "dark side", it is an ill, icky, nauseous feeling. It is not my area. But sometimes one has to make that journey if it means the livelihood of good engineers/researchers.
Don't get me wrong, despite some of the anonymous postings I have managed to catch before they got deleted into oblivion (thanks!), I *AM NOT* a politician or a disinformation artist, or a psychological operations ploy. Also, I do not expect everyone to accept what I post. Take it or leave it. If we can discuss, that is great ... ideally we *BOTH* learn something.
The point I am trying to make is this ... the call to action that "cory" made earlier can be accomplished by some simple things:
1. As much as you hate them, despite how little they represent your livelihood, the politician *YOU* elected are accessible. Just about every Tom, Dick, and Bush politician has a website. eMail them, frequently and often with your concerns and comments.
I know ... you're probably thinking ... "SFW! No one reads them except for an intern. Then nothing. It is useless. Nothing ever happens."
OK. Point taken. But, work the system. Try to establish some dialogue. Even if it is with the intern. It's a step forward.
Ask about NASA funding and the deep budget cuts that will very adversely impact unmanned and scientific explorations which are, so far, the only two cost-effective and most promising for discovery. It is also lowest risk. Losing these programmes impacts everything from the affiliated universities and research institutions, to the companies involved, to the wasted investment of our scientific instruments.
2. PETITION:
Be a grass roots community activist. Petition for a more publicly accessible NASA. Petition for more government investigations into 9/11, black ops, whatever your interest is. Grass roots organisations do work and have been responsible for many changes.
I once had to petition to *NOT* have someone assume division management control. The individual was a known wretched politician who would certainly fill-up the division with his cronies and eventually render the division utterly useless. Imagine a politico managing the Deep Space Investigations division. Can you say FUBAR? I knew you could
3. Don't get discourage. Believe in the purpose of your actions. Pick an issue and go at it.
4. FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)
Even though it is ignored, neglected, and virtually abolished, there are some things that can still be fought for under the FOIA. The annoyance of this is now everything is off limits due to national security concerns. That is how the government is defeating the FOIA. Please, don't let it happen! In many cases, government information is also *YOUR* information. It used to be your government that you elected. However, thanks to Diebold, black box voting, and other scams, no election can be assured.
I hope this helps with some directed motivation.
For me, this is also personal. Your (i.e., the voter and general public) influence could save the jobs of many decent researchers and some promising projects.

Friday, April 07, 2006 11:44:41 AM
It is Master/Slave relationship including the S&M. The management machine, whom I view as "politicians-in-training," know they got us by the privates. The MGMT know their craft so eerily well. They perfected "3-D" management (Delegate, Deny, Disappear). How to defeat the good 'ol boyz network?
The techies are torn between their passion and making a living. Well, we barely manage to eek out a living. But we do have the passion which causes us to over-look the fact that we are hip high in sh!t.
Catch-22. Who wins? Who always wins? Someday, I believe people will voice their opinions, and the techie will be redeemed and suppression will be abolished. I just do not feel too confident about NASA returning to the public. It will fall under DoD first, then forget about public involvement.
More to post later. Many thanks!

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Have we tried getting some of the regulars and other's here aranged into "teams" that can research specific subjects? One of the problems I face personally, is that there are SO many subjects requiring follow-up, that I would have to quit my job and work full time just to scratch the surface of a few of them. If all we can really do for now is research, then maybe some organization of our resources would help.
I remember signing up for some "action group" on TEM, but never hearing another word about it. Can we get something like that going here? I WILL research any subject the group deems important, and work with others in a group or team. Seems like many of us are doing independent research. Why not combin efforts and REALLY concentrate on getting some answers?

NASA Picks Contractor to Chill Space Telescope Instrument
NASA has awarded a subcontract to Northrop Grumman Space Technology in Redondo Beach, Calif., to develop an ultra-cold mechanical helium cryocooler for the Mid-Infrared Instrument on the James Webb Space Telescope. The contract totals about $33 million.
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif., is the U.S. partner in developing the instrument, along with a European consortium sponsored by the European Space Agency. With a planned 2013 launch, the Webb Space Telescope will study the earliest galaxies and some of the first stars formed after the Big Bang. The cryocooler delivery date is 2010.
The Mid-Infrared Instrument must be cooled to 6 Kelvin (minus 449 degrees Fahrenheit), much colder than the planned 40 Kelvin (minus 388 Fahrenheit) temperature of the Webb Space Telescope. This will allow the instrument to detect room temperature heat emitted by stars, galaxies and other objects.
Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md., manages the James Webb Space Telescope for NASA. The California Institute of Technology in Pasadena manages JPL for NASA.

I just wanted to say it before anyone else ... the Box Canyons image released from Mars Odyssey Themis looks like a piece of the proverbial jig-saw puzzle. Why does that analogy seem to keep cropping up?
Nanedi Vallis looks like a pipe-line or blood vessel.
I really hope everyone enjoys the images. So far, these are the best I have seen yet. Interesting anomalies!

Its not that there is much more that you are missing, per se, but that its an intense desire to have a no tolerance policy for that kind of unwarranted behavior. (we also don't want you scared away!)
I find your input so valuable because i learn so much from what you post and you are ever patient with my inane questions.

Ms. T., ScarletM, I guess both of you are patrolling the Blog tonight. I do not envy your task. I refreshed this blog very frequently and caught some of the accusations and derogatory comments made about me and my character.
It seems for whatever reason, I have attracted a hateful and suppressive following.
I know the majority of the crew is with me, some are so-so, and a few probably could not give a damn. But, it is OK. I am not upset about that. I am not here for any popularity contest. I am here for a simple purpose ... to share information that is under lock and key, behind closed doors, trapped in ivory towers, unreleased to the "undeserving" public. I also knew, eventually, they might try to penetrate and suppress this.
This blog, like TEM, is denied from several NASA sites.
The purveyors of this information isolationism desire to further segregate the populace. The unknowing, undeserving, commoners and the have-it-all elitists.
These infiltrators could be the NSA, or another NASA division. There are groups at many NASA sites who do nothing all day but monitor peoples web traffic/surfing, key strokes, emails, phone calls, and postal mail. It is like a gulag now. No one trusts anyone and all people are suspicious. This is exactly the fascism that is trickling out to YOU! NASA/DoD + NSA + Government is the perfect George Orwellian Big Brother control machine.
I have seen myself being called a pedophile. I have read numerous insults that are terribly degrading. I have seen my handle ("371 Bohemia") plagarised and used for inappropriate comments (as stated above).
I don't care about the insults, it just shows high immaturity. I am sickened with the pedophile comments. And that is a low blow. Then to defame my name ... 371 Bohemia ... which represents to me my heritage, is a desecration! It is becoming more than personal.
In a way, I know I hit a nerve with the monitors and for that I AM PROUD AND HAPPY! I will not stop this flow. KILL ME FIRST! I have lived suppressed for too long as has many inside have.
Folks, freedom is in the information and knowledge suppressed. That is the threat. Knowledge and action. I hope, when people begin to figure out all that is hidden and buried, you all will revolt! I look at the zombie youths of today and know we have no future. The dumb society listening to the talking bubble headed bleach blonds on FO and CNN and other big media news outlets.
Sadly, there is little that can be done to prevent the intrusions and spying. And I do thank everyone for their warm support. I am grinning evilly because this is exactly what I wanted to see. A scared reaction from TPTB.
Now, for the rest of the audience, I need to know the impact on you. I do not want to see this group collapse because of attacks toward one person (me). I do not want to see wasted all the time, energy, and effort of SunKing, and many others here since I stowed away on the TEM.
Perhaps you can discuss off-line or however. I know what I need to do on my end now. It is ridiculous!

371..Blue rings and red rings around Saturn and blue rings around Uranus reminds me of a pleiochoric crystal that I spent many years manufacturing and mining in Southern Alberta. A weathered piece of this material which is white and is heavily metamorphosed aragonite or sea shell from the ammonite from 65 million year cretaceous period can be groud through the entire colour spectrum moving red through to purple or blue. The red green fossils tend to be closer to the fault zone and the blue a distance of a dozen miles from the fault zone. The crystals are tightly knit cubes that may be cut at an angle of slight degree to produce one edge of a one inch sq that is red the middle green and the thinest cube would be blue or purple. Each mm cube changes colour simply by looking at the stone from a different angle. The blue purple is the rarer and usually has larger sized mm cubes. The red colours can actually look brown if they have been exposed to sunlight for an extended period of time..(thousands of years).. Some of the cubes are the size of a . to .5mm. They will all change colour through the spectrum depending on the angle of the observer.
Saturn's rings tend to be red closer to the planet and blue at the outside. If my geology lesson above has anything to say about optics, it would be that the forces working on the red spectrum were or are greater and not so much the size or gravity but some specific event in the past that "crystallized" (metamorphosed) that inner ring. The outer ring would be "softer" crystal structure reflecting back light to the earth observer.

Since then, I've learned to (not always sucessfully) stay on topics related to what we talk about here. I'm not trying to scare you, I'm just giving you a heads-up. Maybe to prevent trollspam, we can simply choose "registered members only" from Bloggger Dashboard.
Public can view our posts but not post themselves until they ask to become member.
Only issue is how to accomodate those that need to be anonymous, because that safety is essential to feee speech for real whistlblowers. How can we block trolls, and allow anonymous ? Maybe anonymous can email their post to fshod, and sk wil post it.

1. Notice the bloated appearence of the guilty parties face: this is a side effect of
Olanzapine.
2. As well as the weight gain, notice the 'mongoloid' appearence of the guys face.
This is as a result of a 'Serotonin Imbalance Syndrome' bought on by the medication.
2.5. This 'look' is ASSUMED to be 'the look of a mad person' by the public...it is not!
It is the medication !
3. Notice it is reported that he stopped taking his medication 6 months before the
crime was committed: This is EXACTLY what is predicted in Dr Tracies model of SSRI
use in her book "Prozac: Panacea or Pandora". These drugs cause such a serious systemic
problem in the body that if you stop taking them suddenly a MASSIVE imbalance is caused
in the body leading to extremely violent behaviour.
The Diagnosis: So called "violent schizophrenics" and their victims, and all the pain
that that causes...families losing people, etc. This is ALL (I suspect) caused by
the completely FLAWED SSRI drugs !
The totally unacceptable and dangerous failings of the health industry, and especially
mental health is being blamed on "psychotic human behaviour".
These guys are idiots! They can't even see the problems in their own system. They do
not educate themselves with openly available scientific reports into the highly serious
nature of this issue.
I'm still trying to find out if the new Mental Health Bill has been thrown out in this
country (think it has).
It advocates FORCIBLE medication of mental patients.
I'm supposed to be taking Olanzapine...will I be forced to if the authorities find out
that I'm not ?
If so will I lose my memory as happened last time ? Will my looks be ruined by weight
gain...etc, etc ?
This is scary !
I know you guys are listening ! Educate your friends and family. Read the book "Prozac:
Panacea or Pandora". Find alternative ways of treating 'madness' (I know acupuncture
can be used). If medication is used at all it should ONLY be for a short period !

DJB..that splains some of your outbursts?
I had my truck stolen a year ago. The thief had a 25 second window to do the dirty deed as I was standing just inside a door a few feet away. Turns out the young people had a chain at least two feet long of keys from previously stolen vehicles and a portable meth lab (which the RCMP indicated as I have no information on that side.) Since that time, the girl was given a discharge and the male had been pleading not guilty for which I would be required as a witness which has now dropped below the radar leaving me wondering when I will be summoned or if a plea deal has been "arranged". Convenient that these people with an apparent interest in other people's property are back on the street. Sorta justifies that symbiotic relationship with the state don't it?
In my book "Anomalies of Blogging" the above blog should be noted for the length of time it takes the gatekeeper to post it. Some of my best work written in response to 371's theory on the sun was lost to the big E (ether sunking) when the system went "(down) (whatever)". It was only my best work because no one else will see it and it took me a long time to write. Now would be a good time to dig out the stop watch..

The correct description of what I was doing is lapidarist. I really do not aspire to gemologist. It was curious to me that when I looked up the term "pleochoric" the only link provided was back to FSHOD in "Ballsa Fire". I guess I'm not a great speller. The correct spelling was given by the search engine but did not yield the term being applied to ammonite. I would not be surprised as ammonite and its use as a gemstone is indeed a rare subject. When I started in the field, I knew all of the people involved and it numbered in the 10's of people. Those who recognized the effects of block faulting on the colour of the crystal would be far less..HMMM...
I spent an hour looking for the Gary Lunn story and cutbacks to climatology. No luck. Would the poster who provided that info be able to steer me to a link to that effect. The Canadian Federal Government is awash in gas tax money. This cabinet minister is elected from the gulf coast of B.C. Where does he find time to cut the climate budget. I'm incensed by this report.

They might have waited a couple of months to post this one;
AT&T Sends ALL Internet
Traffic To NSA Says EFF
Source: LinuxElectrons.com
4-6-6
SAN FRANCISCO -- The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) on Wednesday filed the legal briefs and evidence supporting its motion for a preliminary injunction in its class-action lawsuit against AT&T. After asking EFF to hold back the documents so that it could review them, the Department of Justice consented to EFF's filing them under seal - a well-established procedure that prohibits public access and permits only the judge and the litigants to see the evidence. While not a party to the case, the government was concerned that even this procedure would not provide sufficient security and has represented to the Court that it is "presently considering whether and, if so, how it will participate in this case."
"The evidence that we are filing supports our claim that AT&T is diverting Internet traffic into the hands of the NSA wholesale, in violation of federal wiretapping laws and the Fourth Amendment," said EFF Staff Attorney Kevin Bankston. "More than just threatening individuals' privacy, AT&T's apparent choice to give the government secret, direct access to millions of ordinary Americans' Internet communications is a threat to the Constitution itself. We are asking the Court to put a stop to it now."
EFF's evidence regarding AT&T's dragnet surveillance of its networks includes a declaration by Mark Klein, a retired AT&T telecommunications technician, and several internal AT&T documents. This evidence was bolstered and explained by the expert opinion of J. Scott Marcus, who served as Senior Technical Advisor for Internet Technology to the Federal Communications Commission from July 2001 until July 2005.
The internal AT&T documents and portions of the supporting declarations have been submitted to the Court under a tentative seal, a procedure that allows AT&T five court days to explain to the Court why the information should be kept from the public.
"The public deserves to know about AT&T's illegal program," said EFF Legal Director Cindy Cohn. "In an abundance of caution, we are providing AT&T with an opportunity to explain itself before this material goes on the public docket, but we believe that justice will ultimately require full disclosure."
The NSA program came to light in December, when the New York Times reported that the President had authorized the agency to intercept telephone and Internet communications inside the United States without the authorization of any court. Over the ensuing weeks, it became clear that the NSA program has been intercepting and analyzing millions of Americans' communications, with the help of the country's largest phone and Internet companies, including AT&T.
"Mark Klein is a true American hero," said EFF Staff Attorney Kurt Opsahl. "He has bravely come forward with information critical for proving AT&T's involvement with the government's invasive surveillance program."
In the lawsuit, EFF is representing the class of all AT&T residential customers nationwide. Working with EFF in the lawsuit are the law firms Traber & Voorhees, Lerach Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins LLP and the Law Office of Richard R. Wiebe

The puppeteers must not like GWB anymore and are preparing to put another one in. Too many leaks are being “allowed” to circulate. Same with Blair. We say – Yeah! Impeach those bad guys! Unfortunately, the puppets just get replaced by another one.
What happened with Whitley may be the same thing happening with RCH. Maybe they were disinfo people from the get go? Who knows.
One thing Jim Mccanney says a lot, and I have to agree with him is: “We need to press the reset button” and start all over. I don’t know about you guys, but to me it doesn’t really matter who gets in, the agenda of “They” keeps going. Changing guards keeps us pacified, for a while anyway. All the while they seem to gain more power and control. Disinfo spreads like wildfire, leaving us feel more confused than ever, more paranoid and fearful, and allows apathy to set in. Reminds me of the movie “The Life of Brian”. Some follow the gourd, some follow the slipper…. United we stand, divided we fall. What better way to control a society if everyone goes in different directions.
The Truth is out there, and our “gut feelings” should help us recognize it right? Well, how many of us have gut feelings about things, and how many of them are different from each other? So, whose truth is truth? I don’t know the answer, I ain’t that smart (quoting SK) Perhaps the uneducated have one up on those educated – they rely more on common sense/survival and not what they’ve been taught by “they”
Been feeling the tides of change lately, sorry for the long rant. I’ll just go back to lurking now.
As usual, great posts everyone.
Quick comments before I have to go back to work:
To the real Bohemia371: Rock on! The true value of your postings becomes more apparent every day. I have been finding your postings and links incredibly satisfying to read.
Crypto2: Your post about planting seeds is spot on. Ironically, we at FSHOD may be unintentionally contributing to this. Much to think about there.
John: Never mind. I get reminded once again there is no point talking to you.
Regarding the question educated vs.uneducated: Respectfully,I somewhat disagree with the characterisations of educated versus uneducated. It's been my experience that people who were intolerant/non accepting of you are, lacking common sense or just plain stupid can be found on BOTH sides of the education aisle. I grew up in a rural area and now live in the city and have a B.A. degree in art studio from a small college. My crappy paying day job is in a downtown public library that has lost its mind and soul. I've seen it go both ways because I get the full spectrum of humanity at the day job and from the experience in growing up in a rural area that was and is suspicious of anything that is the slightest bit different from them. Formal education or lack of formal education seems to have little to do with what kind of souls manifest themselves on this planet. Good can be found all across the spectrum as well as bad.
WTF? The post I thought disappeared has now shown up. I'm deleting the one I just finished writing about how I had succumbed to ericswan syndrome in having spent too much time writing a post and having it crash.
Damn this blog not taking word verification today! I'm trying it again.
starshipconstellation,
Know what you mean, seen that. I remember with Blogger, there is a 'buffer' that saves portions of posts as you go, at least on ones' own blog anyway. My guess is they get an early first look at what you are composing in the comment window and can then zap us if they want to discourage our thought or block content.
I have lost some well worded bigger posts too, when the strange unexpected occurs, crashing, freezing me out or as you described blanking away.
Deep breath dudes, I know it is very angering to lose some good thought stream.
Try composing your most sensitive material, outside of the blog comments and then just copy/paste/post boom done, no interference, dem bastaads.
On the idea of sublime disclosure, an article appeared in the Ottawa Citizen Newspaper On Mon. 03/13/2006
It was given almost a half page of their World section. In Newspapers that is quite a commitment of 'inventory'. As usual, they kept it 'tongue in cheak', while telling a few very interesting bits. Same as the strategy on the UFO program on Discovery Channel the other night. Disclose while also disqualifying at the same time. Talk about schizo!
As SWORD once described the agonizingly slow pace of the disclosure, the older leaders are persisting at, contrary to the younger masonic's urgings.
As I sit here holding a 2Gig memory stick barely the size of my thumb, I have to laugh that "they" would continue to be so tentative about admiting we have really great ships now or to worry over these apparently shocking revelations they might have.
specially toys and gadgets, technology has become like chocolate bars, no big deal, kind of tastey, where's the next one?
O.k. back to the info from the article:
Written by Alan Hamilton for The Times London 2006 titled British Rail's spaceship dreams.
In the early 1970'2, London's railway chiefs filed a patent for a "nuclear-powered flying saucer"
Yes! British Railways Board
It was logged at Londons's patent office by Jensen and SOn on behalf of the British Railways Board on Dec. 1, 1970 and the Patent number was 1310990, granted on March 21, 1973
Charles Osmond Frederick, an engineer and inventor, was commissioned by the rail board to come up with a "lifting platform" (interesting term!-ion). What he produced was a space vehicle, with its passenger compartment upstairs, like the pod of a jumbo-jet, and engines powered by "controlled thermo-nuclear fusion reaction ignited by laser beams."
The patent document states: "The present invention relates to a space vehicle. More particularly, it relates to a power supply for a space vehicle which offers a source of sustained thrust for the loss of a very small amount of fuel."
"A controlled thermonuclear fusion reaction is ignited by one or more pulsed laser beams produced by lasers and reflected of focussed on to a central reaction zone on the underside of the platform...The pulse frequency will generally be greater than 1000hz to avoid structural vibration within vehicle."
The rest of the article becomes more trivial and distractive. There was a simple diagram of the ship as well. This is a new one for, I haven't seen this patent before.
Maybe worth a little closer look? Certainly something being shown clearly here as a gentle disclosure in a National Newspaper.
Bohemia,
Thanks for the haarp post, very well done and a relevent
comparison with the A bomb's genesis. HAARP needs to
be watched closely, perhaps ms t is currently doing
that, not sure as I think other arrays exist capable of
intense ionispheric heating.
It slays me that HAARP operates at over-unity-the added
frustration! As to that, Co-worker and I now have a
re-written plan for the Edwin Gray motor which is a
essentially Tesla's (although I think Ed was a stumbler)
The process looks reproduceable, I have very technical
info. for the capacitors, type of transisters, voltage.
The really interesting part will be making Grays,
"efficient electrical conversion switching tube suitable
for inductive loads." The real key (one of) w/ tesla's
energy is a uni-directional flow. Both Gray's patents
are wrong and missing key info, the technology for zapping
energy out of the aether however is real. This appears to work,
just as an array of Antennas known as HAARP is pulling out
energy from the aether, just as vortexed water creates energy,
just as cold fusion is real. I intend to demonstrate just one
of many examples of over unity very soon. COP over 1 is
real. The synergy and overlap here on the f-shod when viewed
sort of from a macro perspective is amazing. That some great
contributors have left is always to be expected, there is no
doubt that the f-shod is sound and doing some interesting things.
Posters that have seemingly left are still reading here in many cases.

bryansail, Hi f-shoddy!

The ad features a fake can of whale meat and then the line:
"You shouldn't be. Unless you eat this."
It goes on to talk about the falsity of the risks of toxins in fish. I took a look at the website they provided
Fishscam.com and really didn't know what to think. The fish industry has their own disinformation campaigns....
Guess it goes on in everything now....
Bryan, Good to see you old friend. I would be very interested to see your gizmo. (sigh) If only I was mechanically inclined.

KB4K...It's a shame that the truth is so easily hidden and that while we search for it, it hides in front of us. Frankly, I only eat farm raised fish. Not because I dont like to kill, cook and clean them, but because our local lakes and rivers are toxic and I am afraid of worsening some of the effects those toxins have had on us. For example, I read an article in a distiguished medical magazine (cant remember the name now) that there has been a link between the manufacture of vinyl siding and a rise of endometriosis/ovarian cysts/cervical cancer. The study was able to geographically locate concentrated areas of 'outbreak' by their proximity to bodies of water near these manufacturing plants. It seems that the longer a woman is exposed (birth to teen, toddler to adult, birth to adult, etc.) the more serious the hazard. Vinyl siding isnt the only manufacturing process that produces the toxin involved, but it was the process cited in the study. Sure made sense since all the female cousins in my family have these problems in varying degrees. Mine being the most minimal since I moved away before puberty....hmmmmmm. Unfortunately I still live in an area that is known for having 2 super toxic dump sites, 1 of which they have not yet been able to clean even tho they attempt it every 5 yrs or so. hmmmmmm
Sword, I came ship board, and wondered if you had reappeared yet, and there you were. The timing is amazing. I was wondering if you were ever going to share with us any kind of timeline for your work. I hope you dont force me to get some kind of algorithmic decoder. LOL. Glad to see you too.

I have to laugh that "they" would continue to be so tentative about admiting we have really great ships now or to worry over these apparently shocking revelations they might have.
You are "laughing" about this ?
It sounds like you don't believe what you are writing and are just laughing at yourself.

Crypto2,
This "game" you are asking "Bohemia" is something you know so well and have wrote about so many times. Why is it you ask about the "game" again?
Do you think the game is different or the rules are different if one is a Wall Street runner a Federal pawn or a NASA agent?
Crypto2, the "game" you said is a system. We are all part of that system. Struggling. You also once wrote that few people are above the system. Untouchable.
The "system" is a set of rules governing how people act and react. It can be predictable ... as our actions and reactions are limited to what is acceptable or allowed in the "game."
The "system" only works for those who are outside of it or above it. For those unfortunate to be stuck in the "game," we are slaves, born into bondage -- struggling for a daily subsistence. You see it on the television, CNN & FOX news, taxes, etc...
Crypto2, why ask about a "game" whose rules you already know so well? Whose rules only change slightly the higher one is until they no longer apply.
remember, the lie is different at every level.
Hi all...
Tacodog, you said...
"GB – admits to leaking intelligence in the Plame’s case to the press but only after he declassified it – “in the public’s interest”..."
The President of the United States can't "leak" anything. A leak is someone giving the media classified information without the President's approval. If President Bush wants to declassify classified information on his own, he has the power to do that. Now if Dick Cheney were to release classified information to the media without the President's approval, then THAT would be a leak...
I've noticed that most of y'all think that we have an oppressive government. I recently went to a website about a guy who took a tour of North Korea. After reading that, it made me appreciate even more all the freedom we have. For those who want to read about a REAL oppressive government, go here...
http://www.simonbone.com/myohyang.html
A few facts about North Korea that I read on the site...
It has about 4 tv stations total, and they're all pretty much the same, with people praising Kim Jong Il or Kim Il Sung. In contrast, we have over 500 channels with a very diverse selection of shows to watch.
They have radio jammers that are ALWAYS kept on, in order to keep broadcasts from South Korea out. We don't
You have to be careful about what you say in the hotel rooms, because they're bugged.
All the songs are about Kim Jong Il, Kim Il Sung, Juche, Communism, or farming, no matter where you are.
For more details, you can go to the site. I hope that you come to see just how free we are...
John

Well, I knew I'd get slammed for what I said, but thank you for the feedback. Btw, r c h, I heard a phrase similar to, "The President of the United States can't "leak" anything", on Drudge's radio show. And I wasn't joking about the tv channels having a very diverse selection (news, sports, weather, comedies, dramas, soap operas, video game reviews, sci-fi, C-SPAN(2), science programs, history, cartoons, etc...) compared to North Korea's selection (propoganda news broadcasts, reporters praising Kim Jong Il/Kim Il Sung, blank blue screens, and that's it) although I might have exagerrated the number of channels a bit...

Abstract: the proposed Iranian Oil Bourse will accelerate the fall of the American Empire.
I. Economics of Empires
A nation-state taxes its own citizens, while an empire taxes other nation-states. The history of empires, from Greek and Roman, to Ottoman and British, teaches that the economic foundation of every single empire is the taxation of other nations. The imperial ability to tax has always rested on a better and stronger economy, and as a consequence, a better and stronger military. One part of the subject taxes went to improve the living standards of the empire; the other part went to strengthen the military dominance necessary to enforce the collection of those taxes.
Historically, taxing the subject state has been in various forms-usually gold and silver, where those were considered money, but also slaves, soldiers, crops, cattle, or other agricultural and natural resources, whatever economic goods the empire demanded and the subject-state could deliver. Historically, imperial taxation has always been direct: the subject state handed over the economic goods directly to the empire.
For the first time in history, in the twentieth century, America was able to tax the world indirectly, through inflation. It did not enforce the direct payment of taxes like all of its predecessor empires did, but distributed instead its own fiat currency, the U.S. Dollar, to other nations in exchange for goods with the intended consequence of inflating and devaluing those dollars and paying back later each dollar with less economic goods-the difference capturing the U.S. imperial tax. Here is how this happened.
Early in the 20th century, the U.S. economy began to dominate the world economy. The U.S. dollar was tied to gold, so that the value of the dollar neither increased, nor decreased, but remained the same amount of gold. The Great Depression, with its preceding inflation from 1921 to 1929 and its subsequent ballooning government deficits, had substantially increased the amount of currency in circulation, and thus rendered the backing of U.S. dollars by gold impossible. This led Roosevelt to decouple the dollar from gold in 1932. Up to this point, the U.S. may have well dominated the world economy, but from an economic point of view, it was not an empire. The fixed value of the dollar did not allow the Americans to extract economic benefits from other countries by supplying them with dollars convertible to gold.
Economically, the American Empire was born with Bretton Woods in 1945. The U.S. dollar was not fully convertible to gold, but was made convertible to gold only to foreign governments. This established the dollar as the reserve currency of the world. It was possible, because during WWII, the United States had supplied its allies with provisions, demanding gold as payment, thus accumulating significant portion of the world's gold. An Empire would not have been possible if, following the Bretton Woods arrangement, the dollar supply was kept limited and within the availability of gold, so as to fully exchange back dollars for gold. However, the guns-and-butter policy of the 1960's was an imperial one: the dollar supply was relentlessly increased to finance Vietnam and LBJ's Great Society. Most of those dollars were handed over to foreigners in exchange for economic goods, without the prospect of buying them back at the same value. The increase in dollar holdings of foreigners via persistent U.S. trade deficits was tantamount to a tax-the classical inflation tax that a country imposes on its own citizens, this time around an inflation tax that U.S. imposed on rest of the world.
When in 1970-1971 foreigners demanded payment for their dollars in gold, The U.S. Government defaulted on its payment on August 15, 1971. While the popular spin told the story of "severing the link between the dollar and gold", in reality the denial to pay back in gold was an act of bankruptcy by the U.S. Government. Essentially, the U.S. declared itself an Empire. It had extracted an enormous amount of economic goods from the rest of the world, with no intention or ability to return those goods, and the world was powerless to respond- the world was taxed and it could not do anything about it.
From that point on, to sustain the American Empire and to continue to tax the rest of the world, the United States had to force the world to continue to accept ever-depreciating dollars in exchange for economic goods and to have the world hold more and more of those depreciating dollars. It had to give the world an economic reason to hold them, and that reason was oil.
In 1971, as it became clearer and clearer that the U.S Government would not be able to buy back its dollars in gold, it made in 1972-73 an iron-clad arrangement with Saudi Arabia to support the power of the House of Saud in exchange for accepting only U.S. dollars for its oil. The rest of OPEC was to follow suit and also accept only dollars. Because the world had to buy oil from the Arab oil countries, it had the reason to hold dollars as payment for oil. Because the world needed ever increasing quantities of oil at ever increasing oil prices, the world's demand for dollars could only increase. Even though dollars could no longer be exchanged for gold, they were now exchangeable for oil.
The economic essence of this arrangement was that the dollar was now backed by oil. As long as that was the case, the world had to accumulate increasing amounts of dollars, because they needed those dollars to buy oil. As long as the dollar was the only acceptable payment for oil, its dominance in the world was assured, and the American Empire could continue to tax the rest of the world. If, for any reason, the dollar lost its oil backing, the American Empire would cease to exist. Thus, Imperial survival dictated that oil be sold only for dollars. It also dictated that oil reserves were spread around various sovereign states that weren't strong enough, politically or militarily, to demand payment for oil in something else. If someone demanded a different payment, he had to be convinced, either by political pressure or military means, to change his mind.
The man that actually did demand Euro for his oil was Saddam Hussein in 2000. At first, his demand was met with ridicule, later with neglect, but as it became clearer that he meant business, political pressure was exerted to change his mind. When other countries, like Iran, wanted payment in other currencies, most notably Euro and Yen, the danger to the dollar was clear and present, and a punitive action was in order. Bush's Shock-and-Awe in Iraq was not about Saddam's nuclear capabilities, about defending human rights, about spreading democracy, or even about seizing oil fields; it was about defending the dollar, ergo the American Empire. It was about setting an example that anyone who demanded payment in currencies other than U.S. Dollars would be likewise punished.
Many have criticized Bush for staging the war in Iraq in order to seize Iraqi oil fields. However, those critics can't explain why Bush would want to seize those fields-he could simply print dollars for nothing and use them to get all the oil in the world that he needs. He must have had some other reason to invade Iraq.
History teaches that an empire should go to war for one of two reasons: (1) to defend itself or (2) benefit from war; if not, as Paul Kennedy illustrates in his magisterial The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers, a military overstretch will drain its economic resources and precipitate its collapse. Economically speaking, in order for an empire to initiate and conduct a war, its benefits must outweigh its military and social costs. Benefits from Iraqi oil fields are hardly worth the long-term, multi-year military cost. Instead, Bush must have gone into Iraq to defend his Empire. Indeed, this is the case: two months after the United States invaded Iraq, the Oil for Food Program was terminated, the Iraqi Euro accounts were switched back to dollars, and oil was sold once again only for U.S. dollars. No longer could the world buy oil from Iraq with Euro. Global dollar supremacy was once again restored. Bush descended victoriously from a fighter jet and declared the mission accomplished-he had successfully defended the U.S. dollar, and thus the American Empire.
II. Iranian Oil Bourse
The Iranian government has finally developed the ultimate "nuclear" weapon that can swiftly destroy the financial system underpinning the American Empire. That weapon is the Iranian Oil Bourse slated to open in March 2006. It will be based on a euro-oil-trading mechanism that naturally implies payment for oil in Euro. In economic terms, this represents a much greater threat to the hegemony of the dollar than Saddam's, because it will allow anyone willing either to buy or to sell oil for Euro to transact on the exchange, thus circumventing the U.S. dollar altogether. If so, then it is likely that almost everyone will eagerly adopt this euro oil system:
The Europeans will not have to buy and hold dollars in order to secure their payment for oil, but would instead pay with their own currencies. The adoption of the euro for oil transactions will provide the European currency with a reserve status that will benefit the European at the expense of the Americans.
The Chinese and the Japanese will be especially eager to adopt the new exchange, because it will allow them to drastically lower their enormous dollar reserves and diversify with Euros, thus protecting themselves against the depreciation of the dollar. One portion of their dollars they will still want to hold onto; a second portion of their dollar holdings they may decide to dump outright; a third portion of their dollars they will decide to use up for future payments without replenishing those dollar holdings, but building up instead their euro reserves.
The Russians have inherent economic interest in adopting the Euro - the bulk of their trade is with European countries, with oil-exporting countries, with China, and with Japan. Adoption of the Euro will immediately take care of the first two blocs, and will over time facilitate trade with China and Japan. Also, the Russians seemingly detest holding depreciating dollars, for they have recently found a new religion with gold. Russians have also revived their nationalism, and if embracing the Euro will stab the Americans, they will gladly do it and smugly watch the Americans bleed.
The Arab oil-exporting countries will eagerly adopt the Euro as a means of diversifying against rising mountains of depreciating dollars. Just like the Russians, their trade is mostly with European countries, and therefore will prefer the European currency both for its stability and for avoiding currency risk, not to mention their jihad against the Infidel Enemy.
Only the British will find themselves between a rock and a hard place. They have had a strategic partnership with the U.S. forever, but have also had their natural pull from Europe. So far, they have had many reasons to stick with the winner. However, when they see their century-old partner falling, will they firmly stand behind him or will they deliver the coup de grace? Still, we should not forget that currently the two leading oil exchanges are the New York's NYMEX and the London's International Petroleum Exchange (IPE), even though both of them are effectively owned by the Americans. It seems more likely that the British will have to go down with the sinking ship, for otherwise they will be shooting themselves in the foot by hurting their own London IPE interests. It is here noteworthy that for all the rhetoric about the reasons for the surviving British Pound, the British most likely did not adopt the Euro namely because the Americans must have pressured them not to: otherwise the London IPE would have had to switch to Euros, thus mortally wounding the dollar and their strategic partner.
At any rate, no matter what the British decide, should the Iranian Oil Bourse accelerate, the interests that matter-those of Europeans, Chinese, Japanese, Russians, and Arabs-will eagerly adopt the Euro, thus sealing the fate of the dollar. Americans cannot allow this to happen, and if necessary, will use a vast array of strategies to halt or hobble the operation's exchange:
Sabotaging the Exchange-this could be a computer virus, network, communications, or server attack, various server security breaches, or a 9-11-type attack on main and backup facilities.
Coup d'état-this is by far the best long-term strategy available to the Americans.
Negotiating Acceptable Terms & Limitations-this is another excellent solution to the Americans. Of course, a government coup is clearly the preferred strategy, for it will ensure that the exchange does not operate at all and does not threaten American interests. However, if an attempted sabotage or coup d'etat fails, then negotiation is clearly the second-best available option.
Joint U.N. War Resolution-this will be, no doubt, hard to secure given the interests of all other member-states of the Security Council. Feverish rhetoric about Iranians developing nuclear weapons undoubtedly serves to prepare this course of action.
Unilateral Nuclear Strike-this is a terrible strategic choice for all the reasons associated with the next strategy, the Unilateral Total War. The Americans will likely use Israel to do their dirty nuclear job.
Unilateral Total War-this is obviously the worst strategic choice. First, the U.S. military resources have been already depleted with two wars. Secondly, the Americans will further alienate other powerful nations. Third, major dollar-holding countries may decide to quietly retaliate by dumping their own mountains of dollars, thus preventing the U.S. from further financing its militant ambitions. Finally, Iran has strategic alliances with other powerful nations that may trigger their involvement in war; Iran reputedly has such alliance with China, India, and Russia, known as the Shanghai Cooperative Group, a.k.a. Shanghai Coop and a separate pact with Syria.
Whatever the strategic choice, from a purely economic point of view, should the Iranian Oil Bourse gain momentum, it will be eagerly embraced by major economic powers and will precipitate the demise of the dollar. The collapsing dollar will dramatically accelerate U.S. inflation and will pressure upward U.S. long-term interest rates. At this point, the Fed will find itself between Scylla and Charybdis-between deflation and hyperinflation-it will be forced fast either to take its "classical medicine" by deflating, whereby it raises interest rates, thus inducing a major economic depression, a collapse in real estate, and an implosion in bond, stock, and derivative markets, with a total financial collapse, or alternatively, to take the Weimar way out by inflating, whereby it pegs the long-bond yield, raises the Helicopters and drowns the financial system in liquidity, bailing out numerous LTCMs and hyperinflating the economy.
The Austrian theory of money, credit, and business cycles teaches us that there is no in-between Scylla and Charybdis. Sooner or later, the monetary system must swing one way or the other, forcing the Fed to make its choice. No doubt, Commander-in-Chief Ben Bernanke, a renowned scholar of the Great Depression and an adept Black Hawk pilot, will choose inflation. Helicopter Ben, oblivious to Rothbard's America's Great Depression, has nonetheless mastered the lessons of the Great Depression and the annihilating power of deflations. The Maestro has taught him the panacea of every single financial problem-to inflate, come hell or high water. He has even taught the Japanese his own ingenious unconventional ways to battle the deflationary liquidity trap. Like his mentor, he has dreamed of battling a Kondratieff Winter. To avoid deflation, he will resort to the printing presses; he will recall all helicopters from the 800 overseas U.S. military bases; and, if necessary, he will monetize everything in sight. His ultimate accomplishment will be the hyperinflationary destruction of the American currency and from its ashes will rise the next reserve currency of the world-that barbarous relic called gold.

I am remembering some banter between me and Nightstar (hope she's lurking somewhere) about chemtrails in Japan and Singapore. There are none.
What if :
(a) HAARP + ground radar rings + chemtrails actually work like a 3-part weapon. That the chem trails are actually a shield (bad choice for one at that)
(b) HAARP is an already WORKING Tesla Shield against ICBMs and meteorites?
(c) John's dad (yeah, right!) may be right. HAARP alone will not be able to fry reindeers, but it has over the horizon capability. That capability, together with harmonics from your local ground-based radar, will amplify the weak HAARP signal, and heat up the area above the chem trail. (I'm out on a limb here, so those sound engineers on our crewe can slice through this one)
(d) The chem trails have metals? Perhaps part of the amplification / focussing mechanism.

Tornado season seems to have jumped exponentally to new levels of occurence.
The latest stat I just heard today was that the ususal season has about 70 tornados and this year they are currently at 286, with a month to go.
Its reminiscent of the pattern last year with regards to the hurricane season.
A many-fold increase in frequency.
"Natural" or Haarply inspired?
I don't rightly know, but it certainly was forecasted.
Perhaps the Superstorms are beginning.
Maybe time for some self-reliant self-suffiency.
osotp,
Remember, when things are in phase they become additive. Could this be what you are thinking of? Also, I thought the Tesla stuff focused throught the Earth? But I do recall the over the horizon bits. You get change back for that post! :)
Ericswan,
Wasn't it bubba hyde that had some old c2c tapes? bubba?
Fool,
That song is required listening for all my interns. Almost all of them don't get it.
scarletm,
Thanks for the article link. :)
iontruO2,
Gonna be lots of BIG storms if this keeps up. I am not looking forward to summer. Lots of talk too about a can hitting the upper Mid-Atlantic (NY, NJ, CT). That, would be a major hit. :(

saysThe latest stat I just heard today was that the ususal season has about 70 tornados and this year they are currently at 286, with a month to go.
There are more tornadoes on average in May and June than April and of course Hercules season starts in June..
My take on HAARP is that it can induce earthquakes, volcanoes, move the jet stream, mess with your natural communication with God and that is about as much as I care to think about.
My take on Chemtrails is that they use metals and plastics and bioforms to make clouds that block the sun. I'm sure it could be used in conjunction with HAARP to direct beams that will take out aircraft from earth or aliens from space. It probably even has inter dimensional aspects that I can't speak to.
My intuition on HAARP and CHEMTRAILS is that it hasn't been shared publicly giving me deep suspicions and that if they had come public and claimed as deep shield has indicated, that without some moderation of present pollution levels and their effects on the ozone, I might have bought it.
The problem really is in the fact that many of us will have to opt out of the "oil for food" program in order for this earth's atmosphere to sustain itself. If TPTB are actually facilitating less sunshine to meet the needs of greys or reptilians in exchange for a NWO hegemony than they don't have any inkling of what God has in store.
Regarding the article in the American Chronical- Wow! An actual media person amongst us! I guess we are certainly becoming popular. Glad to see we werent named tho', I wonder, SK - how well could the blog handle the kind of traffice that would be induced by mention in an article of this nature? hmmmmm
going to google some stuff now.
Thanks Ms T ! I finally did get in touch with John Coleman.
He'll be in my documentary talking about pioneer graveyards.
The two email addresses listed on his web-site weren't working.

Hmmmm...the chronicle article...Project Serpo. It does seem to mirror some kind of
desire for a 'catalyst' in human affairs ?
Project Serpo Supplies List:

HAARP Experiments
Inventors Guy Cramer (superforce.com/ hyperstealth.com) and Dr. Joseph Resnick (NAT2DTC/NxGen BodyArmor) shared their expertise in the area of HAARP (the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) which is based in Alaska. Resnick said his patents were used in HAARP's phased array antenna system and that because many of the facility's experiments were classified, he could only talk about information that was in the public domain.
Cramer, a Canadian, was freer to speculate on HAARP's uses, and said he believes its primary purpose is defensive. Specifically, he noted that HAARP was capable of disabling ballistic missiles and it's also used for communications with submarines and ground penetrating radar. Resnick pointed out that the project has beneficial non-military uses, such as when ELF (electromagnetic fields) were shown to promote plant growth and bee productivity.
HAARP was used to bounce transmissions off the moon and then back to Earth, by sending a signal through a hole in the ionosphere in 2001, Cramer detailed. Patents allude to HAARP being able create a nuclear explosion without radiation, such as by detonating a blimp filled with methane, he continued. Cramer did not feel that HAARP was used for mind control per se, but that it could overdose an area with positive ions, which could "take the fight out of soldiers." He also suggested that HAARP is working in tandem with and/or a cover story for up to two other similar or more powerful arrays in Alaska."

Getting rid of someone is easy. Destroying popular aspirations takes more effort but you can always count on a volunteer or two to do the dirty work. For money; favors; influence; power--mostly power. When conventional methods-- elections, plebiscites, national referenda--fail, or when the results threaten the oligarchy, the US Army's School of the Americas, a shadowy but formidable war factory billeted at Fort Benning, Georgia, can help. There are not petty bureaucrats here, taking up space and stealing time until retirement. The SOA is a model institution. Its instructors and students are recruited from the cream of Latin America's military establishment. The curriculum includes: counterinsurgency, military intelligence, interrogation techniques, sniper fire, infantry and commando tactics, "irregular" and psychological warfare, jungle operations, among the most bellicose specialties. But Latin American soldiers at the SOA are not always trained to defend their borders from foreign invasion. They are taught--at US taxpayers' expense--to make war against their own people, to subvert the truth, silence poets, domesticate unruly visionaries, muzzle activist clergy, hinder trade unionism, hush the voices of dissidence and discontent, neutralize the poor, the hungry, the dispossessed, extinguish common dreams, irrigate fields of plenty with the tears of a captive society, and transform paladins and protesters into submissive vassals. Even if it kills them.
For the past two years, a group of US legislators, led by Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy II (D-MA), have vowed to shut down the facility/ "SOA graduates include dictators and soldiers implicated in gross human rights violations in Latin America," says Kennedy. "[Continued operation of] this facility suggests that the US has blessed such excesses. The SOA costs [the US] millions of dollars a year and identifies us with tyranny and oppression." In 1993 Kennedy sponsored an amendment to the House Defense Appropriations Bill calling for an end to the training provided at the SOA. The measure was defeated. Reintroduced in 1994, the amendment was again rejected. This time the defeat was sustained by a sixfold increase in the number of abstentions from the preceding year.
Founded in Panama in 1946--and relocated in 1984 to Fort Benning when Panamanian President Jorge Illueca evicted it-- calling it "the biggest base for destabilization in Latin America"--the SOA has trained over 60,000 Latin American and Caribbean basin soldiers. It has also produced some of the region's most despicable tyrants. The SOA is expected to graduate about 750 students in 1995.
IN A CLASS OF ITS OWN
When the military go on feeding frenzies in Latin America, as they are wont to do with unsettling regularity, accusing fingers often point to Washington. This is what happened in 1989, when a Salvadoran army patrol burst into the Central American University and murdered six Jesuit priests, their cook and her daughter. Some of the victims were executed lying face down on the ground. Human rights groups were quick to accuse the US of aiding and abetting El Salvador's military regime. This was not an idle allegation. Nineteen of the 27 Salvadoran officers who took part in the massacre by a UN Truth Commission report were graduates of the SOA. In fact, almost three-quarters of the Salvadoran officers implicated in seven other bloodbaths during El Salvador's civil war (including the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero 15 years ago this month) were trained by the SOA. The elite institution has left its mark everywhere in Latin America: Of the 246 officers cited for various crimes in Colombia by a 1992 international human rights tribunal, 105 are SOA graduates.
The three highest ranking officers who supported former Guatemalan President Serrano's 1993 attempted coup are graduates of the SOA--including former Defense Minister Jose Domingo Garcia and the sinister presidential chief of staff, Luis Francisco Ortega Menaldo. In 1976, Ortega, then a captain, took a military intelligence course at the SOA. Other Guatemalan big-name SOA graduates include current Defense Minister, Gen. Mario Enriquez and Congress President, Gen. Jose Efrain Rios Montt. A former president of Guatemala (1982-83) Montt is best remembered for his "beans or bullets" policy--beans for the obedient, bullets for the rest.
In Honduras, five ranking officers who organized--with US complicity--the secret death squad known as Intelligence Battalion 3-15 in the mid-1980s are SOA graduates. They include Generals Gustavo Alvarez Martinez, Daniel Ball Castillo, Luis Alonzo Discua and Juan Lopez Grijalva. An America's Watch report has charged Lopez with involvement in a death squad. Captain Pio Flores, whose house was used as a detention and torture center, took four courses at the SOA. Colonel Amilcar Zelaya, from whose residence muffled screams were regularly heard, also attended the school. Battalion commanders Luis Alonzo Villatoro Villeda and Adolfo Diaz took courses at the SOA, as did Lieutenants Segundo Flores Murillo and Noel Corrales. Murrillo's specialty was interrogation and torture.
The three highest ranking officers convicted in February 1994 of murdering nine university students and a professor in Peru are all SOA graduates--as is the commander of the Peruvian military who dispatched tanks to block an investigation.
Also known as the School for Dictators (and dubbed--less kindly but with more acronymic consistency--the School of Assassins) the SOA has sired a number of favorite sons destined for historical scrutiny. Among them:
-- Omar Torrijos of Panama, Guillermo Rodriguez of Ecuador and Juan Velasco Alvarado of Peru--all of whom overthrew constitutionally elected civilian governments.
-- Leopoldo Galtieri, ex-head of Argentina's junta--defeated in the Falkland "Dirty War" against the British. Galtieri's military advisers helped establish Honduras' Battalion 3-16.
-- Hugo Banzer Suarez, Bolivian president in the 1970s-- crushed dissident clerics and suppressed tin miners with savage zeal.
-- Roberto D'Aubuisson, late Salvadoran death-squad leader-- plotted the assassination of Archbishop Romero and may have participated in the El Mozote massacre of 900 men, women, and children.
-- Manuel Noriega, ex-dictator of Panama--serving 40 years in a US penitentiary for drug trafficking.
-- Honduran generals Humberto Regaldo Hernandez (linked to Colombian drug cartels) and Policarpo Paz Garcia (led a corrupt regime in the 80s). Hernandez was inducted into the SOA Hall of Fame in 1988.
-- Manuel Antonio Callejas y Callejas--chief of Guatemalan intelligence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, when thousands of political opponents were assassinated.
THEY SHOOT CHILDREN DON'T THEY?
Not as eminent but equally adept at making war, wielding in some cases formidable regional or local power, and exceeding the limits of their own authority, a number of SOA graduates have been known to take on less redoubtable foes. In Guatemala, a nation described by a high-ranking US Embassy official as "a fractured society--politically, economically, culturally and ethnically--probably the most corrupt in Latin America," crimes against street children have long made international headlines but were never stanched. Unwanted, unloved, disposable, society's chaff, ubiquitous and growing in numbers, they continue to pay the price of civil strife and poverty and feudalism and social decay; enduring illegal detentions and beatings, often for petty crimes, including those motivated by hunger.
According to Bruce Harris, executive director, Covenant House Latin American Programs, "1994 was a banner year for a country more preoccupied with bananas and coffee than human live. It produced the highest number of extrajudicial executions of street children in Guatemala this decade--13 in all." Gathered by the legal aid office of Casa Alianza, Covenant House's Latin American branch, fresh evidence points to waves of mindless retribution by a constabulary gone amok and overlooked by a judicial system disinclined to obey Guatemala's very own constitution, let alone the international human rights accords to which it is a party.
Julio Caballeros Seigne, SOA Class of 1960 (Infantry Arms, Tactics and Army Documents) may have to answer for many of these children's lives. Head of the Guatemalan military at Nebaj, Quiche province, where some of the worst atrocities were committed against the campesinos, he is generally blamed for the displacement of over one million persons, many of them orphaned children, and for spurring an urban migration which continues to strain the country's moribund economy. Former head of G@ (military intelligence), he was twice chief of the National Police (1985, 1990), a semimilitarized corps with a reputation and lengthy record of human rights abuses, many against defenseless minors. In 1993 he was named Customs Chief.
In the BBC-produced documentary, They Shoot Children Don't They?, Caballeros charged Harris with "wanting justice at the snap of a finger," and complained that he was "making too much of a fuss about the death of one child." The child, 13- year-old Nahaman Carmona Lopez, was beaten to death five years ago by four of Caballeros' officers. His death galvanized international attention and paved the way for a widely publicized series of legal proceedings by Harris against his executioners. To his credit, Caballeros did order some of his men investigated, but he blamed the judicial system, rather than inept sleuthing, for its failure to secure binding convictions.
Arrogant and self-deluded, Caballeros may have underestimated the resolve of dedicated human rights activists to take on abusive regimes. At this writing, Casa Alianza has 191 criminal suits in the Guatemalan court system against 120 policemen and 30 soldiers. Arrest warrants have been issued against 18 policemen. Urged by Harris, the European Parliament has vowed to impose economic sanctions against Guatemala.
A member of the extreme right-wing Revolutionary Party, Caballeros, who lost a bid for a congressional seat, makes no secret of his political aspirations and his commitment to a return to military rule in Guatemala. Iit is widely believed that several former administration cabinet members itching for a political comeback favor such a takeover. In an open letter to his "Querido Juan Pueblo" (Beloved John Q. Public) in Siglo Veintiuno (21st century), Caballeros blames "dirty, rich politicians" for the country's chronic problems. Given that the wealthy in Guatemala (as elsewhere in Latin America) have traditionally supported the military, Caballeros was being more than disingenuous. Playing on short memories and growing public discontent to agitate the masses, in military parlance it's called disinformation, a technique taught at the SOA under a different appellation.
Long-simmering rumors that the Guatemalan military has been involved in various criminal activities burst into the open last month when a number of high-ranking officers, among them Col. Carlos Rene Ochoa Ruiz, SOA Class of 1969, were charged with drug trafficking, car theft, and murder. Cited as a cocaine exporter, Ochoa has so far evaded US extradition efforts.
Next door, in Honduras, the early 1980s witnessed political violence of a level unknown in earlier decades as the civil conflict in El Salvador and Nicaragua spilled across its borders. Many "disappeared" after their abduction or were summarily executed by death squads. Seven men, including the late Gen. Gustavo Alvarez Martinez, SOA Class of 1978, were accused of taking part in the "disappearances" of dozens of Hondurans. Alvarez was also charged with abuse of authority, homicide, assassination, torture and hindering due process of law. In a recent interview, his widow, Lillian de Alvarez, justified her husband's excesses, saying he had "fought against disloyalty and terrorist organizations." Former armed forces intelligence chief Leonidas Torres Arias, SOA Class of 1962 and 1971 (Commando Operations), who had accused Alvarez of complicity in the "disappearances," was dishonorably discharged in 1982. Rumors persist that Torres was involved in arms and drug trafficking and murder. Vigilantism against "delinquents"-- a euphemism of sizable elasticity generally reserved for the destitute and the hungry--continues to claim lives in Honduras. Last month, Regional Police Chief Lt. Col. Angel Arnoldo Cabrera, SOA Class of 1979 (Class Leader, Commando Tactics), was accused of heading a death squad specializing in the assassination of "known criminals." Cabrera has denied the charges and threatened to sue for libel.
To reports of irregularities in detention procedures and the torture of detainees during interrogation by the Fuerza de Seguridad Publica (FUSEP), particularly at the hands of its military branch, was soon added evidence of intimidation and harassment of members of human rights groups, lawyers, members of the Catholic clergy, trade unionists and the press. Relations between the armed forces and the press deteriorated when a group of journalists filmed a murder scene in the provincial city of San Pedro Sula. The killers were identified as members of the armed forces. The journalists were threatened. One was attacked. Another had to flee Honduras.
While there have been no "disappearances" under the present (Carlos Roberto Reina) government, serious human rights violations persist and many of the victims are among Tegucigalpa's more than 1,000 street children. Last October, this writer went to Honduras to investigate allegations of police brutality against street children, to corroborate recurring charges that minors are routinely--and illegally--incarcerated with adults, and to document long- held imputations that Honduras's military justice system wantonly disregards the nation's highest laws. Under pressure from Bruce Harris, six minors detained without arraignment for three days and three nights with adults at the Seventh Precinct, including a 10-year-old, were first transferred to an empty cell then quietly released. Hastily convened, a radio interview with Harris and an Amnesty International dispatch accusing Honduran police of illegally imprisoning minors soon made headlines in Tegucigalpa. Police Chief Jorge Alberto Rodas Gamero, SOA Class of 1975 (Infantry) and Class of 1982 (Military Intelligence) made known his displeasure. Calling the Casa Alianza shelter "a nest of thieves," and its wards "delinquents," he agitated the downtown business community, fomenting an angry demonstration in front of the shelter. Two weeks later, the shelter's director was threatened with expulsion. Coerced by Chief Rodas, the Honduran press mounted a fresh offensive against Casa Alianza. meanwhile, investigations into charges stemming from the illegal detention, mistreatment, torture of minors in 1993 against the former military intelligence chief, SOA graduate Lt. Col. Marco Tulio Ayala Vindel, were postponed "indefinitely." Ayala currently heads FUSEP's propaganda machine.
Not to be outdone, the Hondurans military have renewed their attacks on the Reina administration for trying, "once again, to damage its credibility and reputation." Reina's efforts to reduce military influence have been met with death threats and a recent [failed] assassination attempt. Among sympathizers of the military, is A. Manuel de Jesus Castillo, SOA Class of 1975 (Military Intelligence). Castillo, one of the attorneys of former Honduran President Rafael Leonardo Callejas, was expelled from the SOA for misconduct. According to private sources, over 30 percent of all living Honduran SOA graduates are still "pulling strings." The SOA has trained over 5,000 Honduran soldiers and officers.
COSTA RICA'S PEEKABOO ARMY
Breathtaking mountain vistas. An idyllic climate. Unspoiled rain forests. Golden beaches stretching along two coasts. A rich fauna and an exuberant flora. Costa Rica has it all, and then some. But what makes Costa Ricans proudest of all, what they enjoy reminding the world, is that their small Central American nation has had no army since its abolition in 1948. Look again.
A document obtained through the Freedom of Information Act lists nearly 2,500 Costa Rican soldiers and officers who have trained at the SOA since 1949. Among the courses taken: military intelligence (the second most popular specialty after military police and infantry training), psychological warfare, sniper and commando tactics, airborne, engineering combat and construction, jungle operations, mortars, "irregular warfare," counterinsurgency, "nuclear war and military pedagogy," mine-sweeping, basic weapons and combat trauma medicine.
Costa Rica has also contributed instructors to the SOA, most recently Lt. Wilbert Mora and Capts. Juan Calvo, Jorge Alfaro Nunez, Luis C. Calvo Calvo and Carlos Alberto Castro. The last two ended a two-year stint in January. Lt. Col Walter F. Novaroo Romero, SOA Class of 1989 (Psychological Warfare) a Costa Rican, is the SOA base sub-commandant.
Asked to comment, Maj. Gordon Martel, SOA Public Affairs Officer, who pinch-hit for base commandant Col. Roy Trumble, dismissed any inference of impropriety in the existence of a military presence in Costa Rica. "This is a kind of police force not unlike the [US] National Guard. Its members are trained to perform civil and rural guard duties. They also go on drug interdiction missions."
Understandably, Maj. Martel must have recited SOA's standard catechism. The rationale, however, is tenuous. In Costa Rica, as in the rest of Central America, police and army are indistinguishable and interchangeable. One is tempter to speculate--given the nature, complexity, and sophistication of the courses taken by Costa Rican students at an elite combat school such as the SOA--that "civil and rural guard duties" are clever euphemisms crafter for public consumption. For this nation of three million, such intensive training looks more like a state of continuous mobilization and combat readiness than an attempt to keep peace in the streets or to preseve nature's virgin beauty against human predation. Moreover, a narcotics surveillance radar network donated and installed by the USA has since fallen in disuse, allegedly the victim of cost cutbacks. Creditable sources suggest that the facility may have been shut down because it threatened to drastically diminish the flow of drug money into the private coffers of high-ranking government officials. Such action, at a time when Costa Rica has been cited as a benevolent land bridge between Colombia's cartels and North America, invalidates Maj. Martel's argument and raises legitimate suspicion. Out of 2,500 graduates, fewer than a dozen took the so-called "counter-narcotrafficking" course. Measured against the hundreds of students who have trained in intelligence, counterinsurgency, infantry and military police, drug interdiction does not appear to be a burning preoccupation in Costa Rica at this time.
Costa Rica's reputation as nature conservator and premier tourist attraction has obscured a less than sterling human rights record. As recently as 1993, the Cobra Commando, a shadowy paramilitary group, was keeping the narcotics pipeline open and terrorizing indigenous Indians in the Talamanca jungles. Once a thriving and proud people, caught between the sword and the cross, Costa Rica's Indians have dwindled to a precious few and may be headed for extinction. This could explain Costa Rica's reluctance to acknowledge the very existence of an antecedent civilization.
"The SOA is seriously hindering the establishment and strengthening of democracy in Latin America," charges Father Roy Bourgeois, a Maryknoll priest who spent two years in prison for spearheading protests against the school. Bourgeois, who heads SOA Watch, a grassroots organization that keeps close tabs on the school claims that "the SOA does not screen soldiers who are assigned to it. Known perpetrators of serious war crimes come and go as they please." Indeed, a number of officers cited in the 1993 UN Truth Commission attended the SOA after they had committed atrocities. "Funded by US tax dollars," Bourgeois argues, "the SOA steals from the poor. Graduates return to their countries to enrich the rich and to keep the poor in their place."
Defenders of the SOA, which operates on a $42 million-a-year budget (the school recently underwent a $30 million renovation), insist it is getting a bum rap. Maj. Martel rejects all criticism. "The SOA is a legitimate military institution where legitimate military skills are taught. It is not the school's fault that a fraction of graduates has engaged in reprehensible behavior"--a plea echoed by Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Sam Nunn (D-GA). Congressperson Sanford Bishop (D-GA), who represents the Fort Benning area, goes a step further. He argues that the SOA has actually promoted democracy in Latin America. These are by and large obscurantist arguments that even the Pentagon stops short of endorsing. Guaranteed anonymity, a senior analyst told this writer that the SOA "has systematically encouraged the transplantation of military structures into, and facilitated the propagation of military power and objectives against, legitimate civilian governments."
A GRINGO COURSE
The future of the SOA may hinge not so much on ethical but on prosaic considerations, including looming cutbacks in military spending. It will be hard to explain why the SOA should survive when several dozen military bases in the US are now on the chopping block, "to maintain a maximum state of readiness with existing financial resources." In what way is the SOA indispensable to a maximum state of readiness? What future conflicts is it preparing to thwart in Latin America when it brags of having helped reestablish democracy in the region?
Public tolerance for the absurd may also help bring down the SOA. To soak up US culture and values, SOA students are routinely treated to baseball games, excursions to Disney World and other perks, all compliments of US taxpayers. It is doubtful that a term or two at a school which teaches, among other useful tricks, how to filet a human being in less time than it takes to read this sentence, can imbue a Latin American with the "Jeffersonian perspective." Most of these soldiers have cultivated a dark view of priests, social workers, journalists, and liver intellectuals. To them they are all dangerous subversives. Even the parsimonious (12 hours) "human rights" course offered guest instructors in considered mere gringo rhetoric to be swiftly discarded as a hindrance to more practical objectives.
The 7 Never-to-be-Forgotten Principles of Government
1. Government is force. Every government program, law, or regulation is a demand that someone do what he doesn’t want to do, refrain from doing what he does want to do, or pay for something he doesn’t want to pay for. And those demands are backed up by police with guns.
You expect that force to be used only against the guilty. But we can see how the Drug War, the foreign wars, asset forfeiture, the Patriot Act, and other government activities have used force just as often against the innocent — people who have not intruded on anyone else’s person or property.
In fact, government force is used more often against the innocent than the guilty, because the guilty make it their business to understand the laws that apply to them and stay clear of them. Meanwhile, the innocent, thinking they’ve nothing to fear, suddenly find that they’ve innocently violated laws they never heard of.
2. Government is politics. Whenever you turn over to the government a financial, social, medical, military, or commercial matter, it’s automatically transformed into a political issue — to be decided by those with the most political influence. And that will never be you or I.
Politicians don’t weigh their votes on the basis of ideology or social good. They think in terms of political power.
3. You don’t control government. It’s easy to think of the perfect law that will stop the bad guys while leaving the good guys unhindered. But no law will be written the way you have in mind, it won’t be administered the way you have in mind, and it won’t be adjudicated the way you have in mind.
Your ideal law will be written by politicians for political purposes, administered by bureaucrats for political purposes, and adjudicated by judges appointed for political purposes. So don’t be surprised if the new law turns out to do exactly the opposite of what you thought you were supporting.
4. Every government program will be more expensive and more expansive than anything you had in mind when you proposed it. It will be applied in all sorts of ways you never dreamed of.
When Medicare was initially passed in 1965, the politicians projected its cost in 1992 to be $3 billion — which is equivalent to $12 billion when adjusted for inflation to 1992 dollars. The actual cost in 1992 was $110 billion — nine times as much.
And when Medicare was enacted, Section 1801 of the original law specifically prohibited any bureaucratic interference with the practice of medicine. Today not one word of that protection still applies. The federal government owns the health-care industry lock, stock, and barrel.
The new program you support will eventually include all sorts of powers and privileges you can’t even imagine right now.
5. Power will always be misused. Give good people the power to do good and that power eventually will be in the hands of bad people to do bad.
As Michael Cloud has pointed out, “The problem isn’t the abuse of power; it’s the power to abuse.” Give politicians power and it certainly will be abused eventually — if not by today’s politicians, then by their successors.
As P.J. O’Rourke said, “Giving money and power to politicians is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.”
6. Government doesn’t work. Because government is force, because government programs are designed to enrich the politically powerful, because you can’t control government and make it do what’s right, because every new government program soon wanders from its original purpose, and because politicians eventually misuse the power you give them, it is inevitable that no government program will deliver on the promises the politicians make for it.
For years, I’ve asked listeners during radio interviews to name a government program that has actually delivered on its promises, and no one has been able to do so.
If you think there’s a successful government program, you probably don’t know how much it actually costs, aren’t aware of all its destructive side-effects, have no idea how easily and inexpensively such a thing could be done outside of government, and/or are basing your view of its success on political propaganda.
It doesn’t matter whether a program is supposed to do something you want or something you don’t want, whether the program is something you consider a proper function of government or something beyond its limits. It won’t work. Government programs always wind up disappointing you.
7. Government must be subject to absolute limits. Because politicians have every incentive to expand government, and with it their power, there must be absolute limits on government.
The Constitution provides the obvious limits we must reimpose upon the federal government. Until the Constitution is enforced, we have no hope of containing the federal government.
The present system of unlimited power is like giving a drunken stranger a set of signed, blank checks on your bank account. You are reduced to relying on the honesty and integrity of people you don’t even know — and they abuse that trust again and again. Whether you think government should be bigger or smaller than the limits specified in the Constitution, the first step is to restore absolute limits, and then — if you like — work to change those limits to ones that would be more to your liking.
