Who Did That?
206 comments - Click for Blog UPDATE by Sunking 9/2/06This article below, now in quotes, was originally posted, somewhat in error, by Ericswan. There is no reference to the originating source and I do not know that infor, so let me make this disclaimer and apology for not being able to give credit where credit is due. I probably should have deleted this right off the bat, but by now there are too many comments that would be lost...so there it is.
As fate would have it, tho, the post is quite timely, given yesterdays news that the PAN party is 'declaring victory' and then the drama with Presidente Fox. So as in the US, the perpetrators of election fraud, like their exemplars in the US, are succeeding in their crime. This story is also timely in the sense that this coming Tuesday will see primary elections in the US and so right now is an opportune time to ponder if there will be any election-day fraud like there was in the 2000 and 2004 elections. Altho with it being merely the primaries, I'm not sure the level of dastardly deeds will be so high as I anticipate in November, but we'll see.
As recently discussed in FSHOD, greg Palast's Armed Madhouse is recommended reading, since it gives some appalling examples of the antics used to impact the election outcomes in some strategic locales. In that, it also impresses upon the mind that election results in even the smallest and most remote backwater have a direct effect on the national outcome...in these instances, depressingly so.
Of course, after reading this article, one has to admire the persistence of our Mexican brothers and sisters in protesting the blatant election fraud. Makes somewhat of a sad statement on us here in the land of the free, the home of the brave.
Get involved with the election process, folks.....and no matter how painful...VOTE!
MEXICO: Huge political crisis rocks country
Peter Gellert, Mexico City
Following presidential elections widely viewed as marred by fraud, Mexico’s political crisis not only shows no signs of being resolved, but in fact is intensifying almost daily.
In the six weeks since the July 2 presidential elections, two sides have squared off. On one side are the federal government, its electoral authorities, and the conservative National Action Party (PAN) and its candidate Felipe Calderon, defending their razor-thin 0.6% margin of victory as the legitimate election results. On the other side are the For the Good of All coalition headed by the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), its candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (known as AMLO) and the social sectors and mass organisations of most of the left and progressive movements.
Given the close vote and AMLO’s charges of electoral fraud, a partial recount of 9% of the country’s 131,000 polling stations was ordered by the Federal Electoral Tribunal. AMLO and his supporters, however, have been demanding a 100% recount. The recount, which began on August 9, has not resolved the dispute. The AMLO forces charge serious discrepancies, even on the basis of the small 9% sample, among them:
In 43% of the sample, Calderon had been accredited with more votes than he actually received, lowering his total number of votes by 13,500. This was 5000% more votes than AMLO lost in the recount.
In 65% of the recounted polling stations, there were either more ballots deposited than there were voters or more voters than there were corresponding ballots. In Mexico, control of the paper ballots is extremely strict. In the 9% of the polling stations that were recounted, these discrepancies involved 120,000 ballots — half the difference between the two candidates nationwide across all the polling stations.
More than 30% of the supposedly sealed ballot boxes had been opened after the elections, raising the spectre that their contents were altered.
With the official difference being about two votes per ballot box, AMLO has insisted on a full recount and nullifying results in the 7600 polling stations of the 9% sample that had discrepancies. If the polling stations showing too many or too few ballots in the partial recount were to be annulled, AMLO would win the elections.
While the evidence of fraud is circumstantial, it is also strong and, given Mexico’s tradition of fraudulent elections, AMLO’s charges are considered by many to be credible. A poll by the conservative daily Reforma indicated that 65% of Mexico City residents feel fraud was committed and that all votes should be recounted.
The PRD also charges that Mexican electoral law was violated prior to election day by incumbent President Vicente Fox’s support for Calderon’s campaign, by a particularly vicious media campaign against AMLO (attempting to tie him to Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez), and by business associations illegally placing advertisements on television implicitly attacking the PRD candidate.
Although electoral authorities often forced an end to such practices, the damage had already been done and the punishment was so ridiculously minimal that there was no deterrent to further infractions.
On August 18, a video was played on Mexican television demonstrating the existence of a plot against AMLO involving top-level government officials, PAN leaders and Argentine-Mexican businessperson Carlos Ahumada, who is under investigation for fraud committed against the Mexico City administration. The City Prosecutor’s Office announced it would file penal charges against federal government officials who protected or helped Ahumada.
In addition to myriad legal challenges, the PRD and AMLO have waged a mass campaign in the streets demanding a full recount. Demonstrations take place on an almost daily basis. On July 30, up to 2.4 million people participated in the largest demonstration in Mexico’s history.
While the PRD and the junior partners in its electoral coalition make no claims to be socialist or revolutionary, they have nonetheless mounted a strong campaign against electoral fraud and have refused to “negotiate” a solution with the national government.
Since July 30, thousands of demonstrators have been camped out in Mexico City’s central square and an eight-kilometre stretch along Reforma avenue, a main city artery. Federal police have cordoned off the area around parliament with tanks. All of this has considerably exacerbated the city’s already nightmarish traffic.
Besides the continuing occupation of downtown Mexico City, thousands of Lopez Obrador supporters are also engaged in daily acts of civil resistance.
The PAN and business associations have called on the Mexico City government — which is headed by the PRD — to evict the protesters, however local officials have refused. The mass media has waged a campaign against the protests, attempting to whip up a backlash among middle class residents inconvenienced by the mammoth traffic jams.
As a next step, AMLO has called for the formation of the National Democratic Convention on September 16 (Independence Day) to unite grassroots and social organisations behind a program not just centred on electoral democracy, but also addressing the country’s social problems.
Many far left and social organisations that didn’t participate in AMLO’s campaign are involved in the anti-fraud protests. Along the eight kilometre stretch of encampments, a wide array of neighbourhood associations, unions, student groups and political organisations can be found.
Unfortunately, the Other Campaign, an initiative launched by the Zapatista National Liberation Army and headed by the charismatic Subcomandante Marcos, while condemning the fraud, has abstained from the mass demonstrations. During the election campaign, the Other Campaign centred most of its fire on AMLO and the obvious deficiencies in the PRD’s program and methods. Some organisations that participated in the Other Campaign are, however, involved in the anti-fraud protests.
If Calderon is declared the victor by the Federal Electoral Tribunal on August 31 — which most view as the likely outcome — from the word go the new government will face a bitterly divided country, with major sectors of the population questioning the government’s legitimacy and huge and powerful mass movements that consider it their declared adversary.
Major battles are clearly on the horizon in Mexico.

There are a million reasons why Marriages are in trouble. If you have kids then
you can ignore, perhaps escape hundreds of thousands of those reasons and stay together. If you don't have (young) kids watchout. All streams of pop culture are a complete mind%$&*#@ towards staying together. If you haven't discussed that marriage takes work and is a challenge before you get married, then you'll very likely wind up divorced unless both parties have the same strong belief system about marriage being forever.<
I'm just an observer at a distance - I have friends that are academics in SOCIAL science, so there's no patents pending, just big brains and trying to find ways to feel good that are "fun & free". I've always taken University in bite-size pieces, so I get a different crowd each time - and each time, I run into at least two or three that have girlfriends and wives that "like sex alot". I have to dismiss my own doubts about whether they actually trolled for that specific characteristic in order to think about it in a quantum way - or, in Bernays language, look at them as "one of the publics".
Methinks we shall never see "couples seeking singles" that is uncorrupted ... but, if we left things up to natural seletion and allowed that group to build their go-kart ... wouldn't the wheels fall off anyways ? Who knew? My bad...There is a bit of a buffer between Canada and Mexico but we have alot in common. Our mutual neighbour. We will have to wait but a short time to see what becomes of this situation but it has consequences for all concerned. There is something in the wind and Ernesto is hitting the "wall" at the same time as Mexico makes itself known. This is not a "Hijack that Starship" by any means. I try to warn you, senor
I got an internal error at your link. Could you rephrase it?
Who knew WHAT, Eric?
The more I think about this, the more pissed I get.
I continually ask for people to submit something they want to blog. Now and then, someone participates. Cool deal. You get to say what you want, I get to control how it looks, when it posts and I even provide the serivce of posting a pic or something if you don't provide one AND make some attempt to ensure the text is aligned on the page...production type stuff.
It's upfront, and usually well received. And it's what I do.
But you didn't say one thing to me about doing this. I'm don't really like that, Eric. And the more I think about it the less I like it.
Then, you post a news article that someone else wrote and that you neglected to reference. I'm not sure, but I bet there's something like....what do they call it?...a fucking copyright law that may apply. I've been meaning to address this topic for awhile, now, and here it is...when we use material from another source, it needs to be referenced. Not just posted *BANG*, not used such that it can be construed as something YOU wrote...like a good science paper, references should be listed and due credit given and further research by interested parties done. It's doesn't take much time, space or effort. "Doooooo it" - The Guy who did the commercials for Godfather's Pizza.
Barring THAT, for the sake of FSHOD debate and commenting, we don't know whence this came, the nature of the media posting this, their politics/aims/goals/etc...zip, zilch nada! This sucketh!!
Eric, I'm not mad at YOU, per se, just at what you've done...if that makes any sense.
*ATTENTION ALL HANDS*
I wouldn't post you magnum opus in this comments section right now...cuz it will probably be deleted...not sure...I don't really have the time to drum up a new fucking blog post, and I do not have anything in the can to replace it. But I don't think this is a good thing.
Eric,
If you want to preface and epilogue the news article with your own thoughts, put the article in the 'block quotes' via edit post, I'll let the blog stand...but if so, I want this done "post-haste and forthwith" - a quote from almost every cop show in existence.
And Nobody...FUCKING NOBODY posts a blog on FSHOD without coordinating it thru me...if you've be so kind.

Hi Ms. T and all,
Thanks for the link to mimic. What's the red arrow shape at the bottom right of the storm?
If nobody messes with Ernesto and it follows the normal habit of the weather I think it should go up the east coast of Fla. or even offshore a bit and out to sea. From looking at radar and satellite pics the front draped across the country, and the high in the southeast should be pushing it off the coast. If however they can stop it where it is and wait for the front to pass then it's anybody's guess where it goes. Interesting that it is being broken up over Haiti, and then Cuba and they expect it to strengthen to a Cat 1 or 2 before it hits Fla. That's only 90 miles and it has to go against the weather systems to get there. What do they know that we don't?
Re the Mexican election:
Personally I hope AMLO gets the election called in his favor. It sure smacks of neo-con interference otherwise. Glad the people are standing up and not letting this go. The other candidate is just going to be more of the same crap Fox was doing.
This isn't the only place the shrub and his minions are stirring the pot. They are still stirring the pot with Chavez and anybody else that doesn't toe the line they want.
Gas down .15 a gallon. Why? Nothing's changed that I am aware of, except of course the elections are getting closer. What a coincidence.
V,

I took a link off that BBowers page to that National Sweetheart...that one pic with the guy, I thought that was a life-like plastic doll of Jon Benet? NOT! That's a real little girl!! GOD, those people are SICK!
You can't affor to NOT watch her like a hawk...let alone 'pimp your child' in makeup and clothes, etc. You gotta imagine the pedophiles are wacking to THOSE photos...if not making their own at the events.
Cheerleading...another spot...Too my daughters to their cheerleading competition where there are dozens of teams and hundreds of women...watching the exagerrated poses and made up faces with exaggerated expressions...well, I quickly realized this as another pedophile 'mecca' (Forgive me, allah) where pics and or abductions could easily be done.
Another haven for stupid moms, too. I often wonder if it's their fantasies being performed onstage by their little girls.
Whatever, I think it's wrong and a sickness.
AND a distraction from what we should be focusing on! 's all in the plan!
My 'k' is being faulty today. 'TOOK' my daughters....and the line above should read "dozens of team and hundreds of girls."
Fruedian slip...NO! Well, Hope not! Having 3 daughters (grown now), I am and have been particularly aware of this issue...and you have to when you are the only male on the playground...makes you wonder what others are thinking. And I'm fat and jolly and I guess have a trusting (bearded) face...kids flock to me and I love playing with the kids and making like Frankenstien ("I'm The MONSTAH!") and having them squeal and run and hide. But I have to make myself not get 'involved', not put myself into situations where whooly innocent actions can be so misunderstood. Sad...on many levels.
This whole 'National Sweetheart' thing borders on 'infamnia' to me.
Enough.
It's illegal to photograph your own kid naked in the tub
because it compromises a child ... and someone, somewhere might whack off to it.
Why can't we apply that same spirit of child protection
to dressing little girls up like, say, a hooker with access to unlimited make=up.
Make-up on a kid is kinda creepy ... but for twisted minds, it's truthless beauty.
I don't even let my SON play in the front yard unsupervised. Anyone who would violate a little kid is the lowest, sickest and just flat out evil kind of "human"being alive. There is no punishment too harsh for these people. The death peanlty is WAAAY too good for em. Prision justice is the only way to even begin to get even with these vermin.
So help me GOD if anyone were to so much as harm a hair on my son's head, I would be up for manslaughter. NEVER mess with a Momma Bear.
Scarletm, I'm with you on the Momma Bear front. I just got an e-mail from my ex-fiancee who told me that a ten month old relative of hers had both her legs broken and was severely beaten by the monster live-in boyfriend of the child's mother. It's not certain the little girl is going to make it. The mother and the family are completely devasted and the monster is in jail.
Being a Southerner myself, it's really hard to resist wanting to go up to New England where this bastard is and dispense some justice with a Louisville Slugger. Normally, I am a very gentle person, but when you hurt a child and do what this guy did to this girl I'm of a mind that he should feel every bit of physical and mental pain that was inflicted on an innocent child. Breaking both his legs would be a start. (insert rage here at anyone who destroys children's lives)
Don't even get me started on what I think of this whole JonBenet Ramsey thing. (insert anger here)
SSC
Each thing evokes its opposite and that's sort of how official policy can be evil - because evil does create good, in spite of itself.
The Intell Agencies just will not do what we hoped they would do with their powers - snoop on potential child molesters. C'mon, no normal person Googles words about sex & kids without SOME kind of intent. Take a very broad net and work on them - if they start catching them before they offend, people would be very happy. They might even feel that the USA is the greatest country on Earth. Intell has probable cause to watch pervs that Google the magic words - they have the will of the people behind them ... but instead they take down Blogs about 19th century ciphers.
Their masters (Wall St in the US and Bay St in Canada) keep them on a short leash. No room for creativity.
I don't know what to think of the late - the poor little JonBenet Ramsay. I've deliberately avoided the story and now it's bumped the Middle East off the front page. I can't wait to see what Anderson Cooper will wear to 'get into character'.
Parents dressing their kids up like prostitutes might be a novelty after an intensive day of playing dress-up - it's a novelty to see a little girl paint her face like a mannequin. Parents, friends and relatives would say, "oh, isn't she cute, she looks like ...." and think about who she might look like when she grows up. Those kiddie beauty pageants were a totally different kind of art interpretation - I don't know why Child Services didn't take more of an interest.
My 13 month old REALLY responds to pink things on TV, especially Polly Pocket commercials. It seems the programming (under the parents radar) has begun already. On the subject of daughters, the most horrifying and/or surprising thing I heard. We were at an expensive restaurant in the early 90s and we overheard a mother describe having her 12yr old daughters ears taken in - said they stuck out and looked ridiculous. Went on and on about it ...
Being desirable is intrinsic for all women (well, maybe not all - but most) - the degree of that desirability is really in the eye of the beholder. I asked my wife out on a date at 16yrs old, because I saw her throw a baseball 40yards. How can you get bored with a girl that has an arm like a rocket ? Well, she could have had anyone she wanted .... the secret of my success : everyone else saw Olivia Newton-John and I saw Tatum O'Neil. My wife liked being treated like Tatum O'Neil better than ONJ ... and here we are.
btw : Sorry to be OT and seem aloof of the presented topic. I was hoping to find something worthwhile to add to the posted topic - but I didn't (yet). I checked out the new names on our FSHOD member list and only saw # profile views for information. We should insist that all new recruits keep their web-cam on at all times, for our entertainment. It's a permenent form of cyber-hazing and give us a permanent two tiered system :-)
Maybe I've been sniffing my markers again, but I think we should collectively wrap our heads around the child-porn tendencies of people - and the doctrines and dogmas that guide and support their compulsion.
Crowley is mild by comparison to these monsters. I mean, Aleister Crowley was known to bend over his ass-istant and was bi-sexual and for some reason, he wasn't hassled by police. Did he like them young ?
Crowley's ritual was to bend his friend at political points on the map - but, at TEM, in spite of giving her lots of evidence, T'zemt stuck to her belief that Crowley was interested in the topography.

I have never never witnessed so many chemtrails being laid down as took place from sunrise to sunset Monday. This has to tie into Ernesto.
CNN weather says that Ernesto could hug the east coast and end up stalling north of Philly as did Agnes in 1972 or it could cross Key Largo and wreck havoc in the gulf.
My point is the chemtrails in southern B.C. have something to do with weather manipulation but just exactly how it fits in is a mystery. It was going to be extremely hot here in the high 90's with absolutely no clouds. When the chemtrails were finished up for the day the max was high 80's and more cloud cover than I have ever seen in a part of Canada where there is no place to fly to to justify what was going down. There was actually 5 jets lined up side by side flying a north south and south north route over Kamloops, B.C. No attempt to hide their activity and enough evidence to finally bring them into a courtroom. Weather manipulation is against the law.
The temps here, are forecast to drop down to the 60's and 70's for the next couple of days. My question here would be "why do they need to cool this part of N.A. to such an extreme?"
Eric,
Rules....yes...fix the blog you posted, please. And would really like an email explaining what possesed you???
Eric,
Typically, especially when I lived in Pensacola/Gulf Breeze, you could look at the WX in Washington state and 3 days later that would typically be what we would experience. WX in Canada has a BIG impact on us...even here in the Southern US. If they can effect the WX to create or, more likely, alter a frontal pattern, then that front may serve to push the low pressure system out to sea?
Sunking...the L arrived early this morning with a sprinkle of rain and heavy overcast and some brisk wind gusts. I wonder what makes them think they can do it better. They never have before. Nature got us most of the way here. Man has for the most part just screwed it up. I have to admit they don't like these issues pointed out to them. When they start meddling in the "unfolding of the universe", the sword of retribution turns out to be a razor's edge with consequences that go beyond this dimension. These issues don't go away. As they say; "I want to paint it black". later....

so Ernesto... I see almost minutely updates on CNN now...
Hi All,
Eric,
Regarding your comments on the chemtrails around BC...There is a pretty good sized storm north of you. I'd bet they are trying to direct that. As far as Ernesto is concerned it looks to me as if the front draped across the SE is stalling as it gets to the coast. The longer it takes the farther west Ernesto can get before being swept up by the front and driven offshore. A while back in the blogs someone made the comment that the thing they were manipulating was the jet stream and steering currents that affect the storm tracks, not necessarily the storms themselves. There is a High just to the west of Ernesto. That is blocking it from going east. So until the whole pattern starts to move east Ernesto is forced towards south Fla.
Re Mexico,
Looks like Calderone is going to be the defacto president. Obrador is threatening to start a grassroots campaign to name him the 'real' president, since he maintains that the election was stolen by the tribunal and the corpacracy. Wow this all sounds so familiar....
SC,
Sorry to hear about the little girl...
Don't worry, if that piece of scum is in any prison here in New England I know about, there is already some jailhouse justice being meted out, or is that meat? Suffice to say even the criminals hold these lowlifes as the lowest form. The guards don't like em either. He'll most likely 'fall' down the stairs or 'trip' on his way to the cell. If you get my meaning...

Not much has been said today here about the anniversary of Katrina. Maybe because most poeple think that its so far away. In my world, it's my back yard.
As I watched the coverage today I wept as hard as i did the day it happened. But today was different. Part of that grief contained so much contempt for those,in power, who have failed, not just the citizens of the Gulf Coast, but every single American.
A year later, and so little has been done in OUR OWN COUNTRY FOR OUR OWN PEOPLE.
The billions being thown away for people who hate us and we can't even rebuild New Orleans to a bigger better place.

Hi all
Nice to see you back Jas
Scarlet...Re New Orleans
It is repulsive to me to see Bush 'touring' the area on the anniversary of Katrina, while the federal gov't has made the local gov'ts have been made to jump through hoops to get aid. To date not much has been done to ease the suffering yet FEMA pats itself on the back that it has spent more than it ever has on disaster relief for Katrina victims. Well duh, how long have they existed? This is the most incompetent bunch I've ever seen. They all should be hiding unless they plan to do something. It is appalling what has been wasted regarding the trailers, the contracts for reconstruction, and all the fraud that was let go. Maybe it will all be remembered at the polls and they will all be thrown out. Bush and his circle will go down as the worst of the worst in history just as they deserve.
I'm with you Scarlet...God bless all those that have had to live through this nightmare. I'm far removed geographically, but some of the displaced were here for months afterward. Just when most were getting settled the govt told them time was up, and they had to go, well before the agreed upon time was up. They ALL should be ashamed and not looking for appreciation for what they did.
Hey y'all,
I don't mean to be off topic, but if this guy's for real, then there's something very wrong with the Coast Guard. The video is listed as being 10:27 in length, but I find it interesting that, for me at least, it cuts off around 4:56 when he starts discussing issues with some of the patrol boats ability to maintain secure communications for transferring classified information. Hmmmmmmmmm....

I've spent the last couple of nights watching through a short BBC produced video series called "The Power of Nightmares". To be honest, I'm a little torn regarding them. While on the one hand, this series seems to prop up and support silliness like the 19 hijackers with box cutters theory, it also seems to do a pretty effective job of demonstrating what a farce this whole war on terror business really is.
I honestly cannot decide if I think it's a truly worthy watch, but I'd like to offer it up to y'all to check out and make up your own minds. It does make some interesting points and draws pretty stark conclusions as to the true motives of this whole "neocon" business, so I suppose I would at least endorse a viewing but certainly with discernment fully in force. So, here 'ya go:
Part 1.
Part 2.
Part 3.
I would be interested to know what y'all think.

ACAPULCO, Mexico - Hurricane John’s outer bands lashed western Mexico Tuesday night as the powerful Category 3 storm threatened to flood coastal areas and ruin vacations at some Pacific resorts.
John became the sixth Pacific hurricane of the season earlier in the day and quickly grew in strength with maximum sustained winds reaching 115 mph. The U.S. National Hurricane Center said it would likely grow even stronger.
However, it was not expected to make a direct hit on land or affect the United States. Long-term predictions had it moving to the northwest, parallel to the coastline, with its outer winds lashing the resorts of Acapulco, Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos. John could cause landslides and flooding before heading out to sea, the hurricane center said
Wouldn't you know I screwed up one of the PoN links above and linked Part 3 twice. Sorry 'bout that. Here's Part 2, I hope. Damn the lack of decent preview in Blogger's comments, hahaha.
DarkWood
Darkwood,
I have watched a bit of this and thus far all I see are some serious sticks in the mud! And i hate to go here, but....
I see a bunch of mysogynisic pigs.
( It's never women, you see, that start these things... usually ugly little men too.)
I don't agree with it, but understand the point about too much freedom being the seed for downfall and a possible corrupting force. However, that an uptight Egyptian man who merely went to school here, and just didn't like what he saw b/c it was completely out of his cultural context, REALLY pisses me off. Frankly, I think he was jealous and bitter....and now we must all suffer. Hope he's rotting in hell.
Darkwood..I got to see almost the whole video before it cuts out. The communications problem is based on "shielding" the wiring on the coast guard vessels. The drug runners couldn't work if they didn't know what the coast guard was up to so this is their open door (windows) to the coast guard communications. Something as simple as a frequency scanner could pick up transmissions but you would think this would be encrypted but then even if it was I think we all know that the ones doing the drug running would have access to the encryption so why bother shielding the wires.
Ms. T..the java may take longer to load but my view of John looks like a slightly different "augmentation" than what we have seen in the past. It almost looks like the spokes on a bicycle as it loads up moisture moving from the top and adding to the intensity at fifteen minute intervals. This is not going to be picked up by most so keep it on file and we'll have to see if this is the new modus operandi that we have been expecting.
forgot to link..hehe

"Supposedly, this money will go to the state, but I think we know better than that. "
Actually V, I think that ANYTHING that can help Mississippi right now is a blessing. We hear about NO, but the whole country seems to forget that Biloxi, Waveland etc...were completely oblitererated. You don't EVER hear the Mississippians complain. Haley Barbor is doing the best he can, and if the money to rebuild has to come from the fools willing to part with it..well so be it.
The $$ to rebuild Mississippi has NOT come from the Feds..they have tied up most of it in red tape..what money they have gotten has been from Churches and other small charity groups. And the actual muscle used to clear debris and rebuild homes has primarialy come from the NW Florida area. Pensacola has helped rebuild Waveland. We know it and they do too.
Biloxi and her casino industry is just one of the things that made living on the Gulf Cost bearable for me. The best thing that CAN happen to them is to become the Vegas of the South so they can even HAVE a school .Some of these small towns now have a population of ZERO b/c there is no $$ to make repairs on the schools and other infrastructure.
I honestly think that Barbor will indeed do the right thing. He knows how to do much with very little..and all without complaint.

Gasoline prices could keep falling
Updated 8/30/2006 10:08
By James R. Healey, USA TODAY
Gasoline prices are falling fast and could keep dropping for months.
"The only place they have to go is down," says Fred Rozell, gasoline analyst at the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS)."We'll be closer to $2 than $3 come Thanksgiving."
Oh, really???? Hummmmmm that wouldn't at all be close to election time now would it? They also cite in the article that "demand is sluggish"
WELL NO SHIT SHIRLOCK! NO ONE CAN AFFORD IT!!!!!
My counter question to this is..since when did "demand become sluggish for OIL"??? That's not what they told us last month. Last month all we heard is that China and India are all but using it to coat their Wheaties in the moring demand is so high.
(banging head on the table)
Oh, that's right, I'm not supposed to be paying attention.
LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES AND MORE LIES.
Where is my shovel???
Eric,
SIGINT doesn't always require to know what the tranmission says...sometimes, simply any activity on a given frequency can offer intel. Scientific data-collection of frequency, time, duration can, over a period of time, be correlated to actions and then, voila'! your hear the 'chatter' you know sumpin's goin' down!!!
Quick comments:
Mac: the monster that nearly killed that girl is in jail in Massachusetts. I hope that's a place where he'll "get his".
The Mexican non election: Widely predicted in the non mainstream media. Should be a surprise to no one here and that doesn't make it any less disgusting however.
Katrina: I have a friend who lives in Harahan, LA and from what I gather from her only the most token rebuilding has gone on in the touristy part of NO and the rest of it is a forsaken hell. There may be more press about NO than Mississippi but they are both getting screwed pretty equally by the Feds and the insurance companies. On NPR yesterday, Andre Codrescu ripped FEMA and NO city leaders a new excrement portal in his commentary among other things.
Harahan is east of New Orleans proper between the lake and the river, my friend was just lucky her house was pretty much at the highest part of town because she was just a few blocks from houses under 25 feet of water. She got a lot of wind damage and was grateful it was no worse. She evacuated in an ancient car and was relieved it made it out and back. Later, that car got stolen probably because it was dry and it ran. Contact with her is very intermittant as are her utilities.
Lexington plane crash: I live in Lexington and the crash in some ways reminds me of what a third world country we are becoming having only one air traffic controller in the tower trying to do the jobs of three people. I can think of three or four ways the crash should never have happened and yet it did. Fortunately, I was spared direct loss but I know people who weren't so lucky and my heart goes out to them.
SSC:
I am relieved to hear that you weren't directly hurt by the Lexington airport tragedy. To hear about that young couple who had just gotten married...how horrible.
Mac said...
"One of the priests they locked up there never came out alive, if that tells you anything...."
Good riddance!
scarletm,
It wasn't just the couple who had just gotten married, there was also a couple who were on their way to get married as well. Like passengers on the Titanic and Buddy Holly's last flight, apparently there are two or three people who for some reason missed that flight and by virtue of oversleeping and unexpected events that caused them to not board the plane are alive today. The plane would have held 50 passengers plus two or three jump seats for crew.
I can only imagine being one of the three might begin to feel like.
Regarding the priest: I remember hearing about that, and I thought it fitting given what he did to all those children. For a long time, one of my regular library patrons had been one of Massachusetts ten most wanted. He had raped a 13 year old girl and had been hiding in Kentucky for years. I don't remember how he got caught, but what was so chilling about it was how I never would have imagined him capable of it given the persona he presented.
Thanks for the cool articles Boh!

Did anyone besides me catch Keith Olbermann's Commentary tonight on MSNBC? I was without a doubt one of the best commentairies I have heard in YEARS. Too bad Olbermann is so under rated. He gets it. I propose honorary FSHOD membersip to him. It bears posting here.( Go ahead, pass the PH over) Please for give the length, but I think after reading it, you will forgive me. Or at least I hope you do.

Feeling morally, intellectually confused?
The man who sees absolutes, where all other men see nuances and shades of meaning, is either a prophet, or a quack.
Donald H. Rumsfeld is not a prophet.
Mr. Rumsfeld’s remarkable speech to the American Legion yesterday demands the deep analysis—and the sober contemplation—of every American.
For it did not merely serve to impugn the morality or intelligence -- indeed, the loyalty -- of the majority of Americans who oppose the transient occupants of the highest offices in the land. Worse, still, it credits those same transient occupants -- our employees -- with a total omniscience; a total omniscience which neither common sense, nor this administration’s track record at home or abroad, suggests they deserve.
Dissent and disagreement with government is the life’s blood of human freedom; and not merely because it is the first roadblock against the kind of tyranny the men Mr. Rumsfeld likes to think of as “his” troops still fight, this very evening, in Iraq.
It is also essential. Because just every once in awhile it is right and the power to which it speaks, is wrong.
In a small irony, however, Mr. Rumsfeld’s speechwriter was adroit in invoking the memory of the appeasement of the Nazis. For in their time, there was another government faced with true peril—with a growing evil—powerful and remorseless.
That government, like Mr. Rumsfeld’s, had a monopoly on all the facts. It, too, had the “secret information.” It alone had the true picture of the threat. It too dismissed and insulted its critics in terms like Mr. Rumsfeld’s -- questioning their intellect and their morality.
That government was England’s, in the 1930’s.
It knew Hitler posed no true threat to Europe, let alone England.
It knew Germany was not re-arming, in violation of all treaties and accords.
It knew that the hard evidence it received, which contradicted its own policies, its own conclusions — its own omniscience -- needed to be dismissed.
The English government of Neville Chamberlain already knew the truth.
Most relevant of all — it “knew” that its staunchest critics needed to be marginalized and isolated. In fact, it portrayed the foremost of them as a blood-thirsty war-monger who was, if not truly senile, at best morally or intellectually confused.
That critic’s name was Winston Churchill.
Sadly, we have no Winston Churchills evident among us this evening. We have only Donald Rumsfelds, demonizing disagreement, the way Neville Chamberlain demonized Winston Churchill.
History — and 163 million pounds of Luftwaffe bombs over England — have taught us that all Mr. Chamberlain had was his certainty — and his own confusion. A confusion that suggested that the office can not only make the man, but that the office can also make the facts.
Thus, did Mr. Rumsfeld make an apt historical analogy.
Excepting the fact, that he has the battery plugged in backwards.
His government, absolute -- and exclusive -- in its knowledge, is not the modern version of the one which stood up to the Nazis.
It is the modern version of the government of Neville Chamberlain.
But back to today’s Omniscient ones.
That, about which Mr. Rumsfeld is confused is simply this: This is a Democracy. Still. Sometimes just barely.
And, as such, all voices count -- not just his.
Had he or his president perhaps proven any of their prior claims of omniscience — about Osama Bin Laden’s plans five years ago, about Saddam Hussein’s weapons four years ago, about Hurricane Katrina’s impact one year ago — we all might be able to swallow hard, and accept their “omniscience” as a bearable, even useful recipe, of fact, plus ego.
But, to date, this government has proved little besides its own arrogance, and its own hubris.
Mr. Rumsfeld is also personally confused, morally or intellectually, about his own standing in this matter. From Iraq to Katrina, to the entire “Fog of Fear” which continues to envelop this nation, he, Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney, and their cronies have — inadvertently or intentionally — profited and benefited, both personally, and politically.
And yet he can stand up, in public, and question the morality and the intellect of those of us who dare ask just for the receipt for the Emporer’s New Clothes?
In what country was Mr. Rumsfeld raised? As a child, of whose heroism did he read? On what side of the battle for freedom did he dream one day to fight? With what country has he confused the United States of America?
The confusion we -- as its citizens— must now address, is stark and forbidding.
But variations of it have faced our forefathers, when men like Nixon and McCarthy and Curtis LeMay have darkened our skies and obscured our flag. Note -- with hope in your heart — that those earlier Americans always found their way to the light, and we can, too.
The confusion is about whether this Secretary of Defense, and this administration, are in fact now accomplishing what they claim the terrorists seek: The destruction of our freedoms, the very ones for which the same veterans Mr. Rumsfeld addressed yesterday in Salt Lake City, so valiantly fought.
And about Mr. Rumsfeld’s other main assertion, that this country faces a “new type of fascism.”
As he was correct to remind us how a government that knew everything could get everything wrong, so too was he right when he said that -- though probably not in the way he thought he meant it.
This country faces a new type of fascism - indeed.
Although I presumptuously use his sign-off each night, in feeble tribute, I have utterly no claim to the words of the exemplary journalist Edward R. Murrow.
But never in the trial of a thousand years of writing could I come close to matching how he phrased a warning to an earlier generation of us, at a time when other politicians thought they (and they alone) knew everything, and branded those who disagreed: “confused” or “immoral.”
Thus, forgive me, for reading Murrow, in full:
“We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty,” he said, in 1954. “We must remember always that accusation is not proof, and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law.
“We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate, and to defend causes that were for the moment unpopular.”
And so good night, and good luck.
I too suggest sending Keith another invite to come to FSHOD. I had sent him link several times before but being MSNBC and huge media machine my little invite didn't make the first level cut most likely.
I have always enjoyed Keith and find he is THE most refreshing journalist of all the talking-tv-toto-heads...and I don't count him within that group.
Feeling poorley I went to bed early with my nitroglycerin tablets and missed this evening news so I am glad it was repeated here. Thank you.
And maybe if we ALL sent an invite we could get him to at least visit. Sunking...find one of your best choice articles for him to read first and send that link.
Thanx to all here...you are a fresh and freindly family to me.

The sole useful function of an Empire : to police the economic highways.
If the US is quietly turning over an artery from to Mehee Co to Canada
It's economic suicide ...
For what ? Short term gain and long term pain.
Canada used to be careful about who it did business with ...
until they let the Chinese build a train route so we could export them oil.
That nort-south route will be re-named the Mad Max Highway ...
and if theory serves - it will feature everything from piracy (theft) to stinger missiles (destruction)
Bob..having been down that road numerous times, I would like to share a few suggestions with you. Could you email me a few details on your situation? ie..meds, symptoms and family history. Yes, I know; presumptous of me. I'm taking a page from DJB's diatribe.. the pharma is not your friend.

LOL! i agree about Michael Savage. What a NUT CASE. I do find his crustiness somewhat amusing, but then the rants and the self loathing gets old...fast.
WCOA AM here in Pensacola is the bastion for the right here. Coast is the only thing that even resembles "liberal" talk here..or occasionally if I can catch Dr Dean Edell. It's all Rush, Hannity Savage etc...and a local guy named Luke McCoy who is somewhat of a local ledgend. He's old and crusty too but semi tolerable.
I abandoned FM radio simply becasue I cannot STAND the sophomoric attitude and immaturity of the morning Shock Jocks. NPR is about as glamourous as I get on morning FM.
I don't listen to Coast much anymore. Noory is just so condecending to his callers and guests and the soft ball questions...don't get me started.

Ship of Fools:
World Party
We're setting sail to a place on the map
From which no-one has ever returned
Drawn by the promise of the joker and the fool
By the light of the crosses that burned
Drawn by the promise of the wormen and lace
And the gold and the cotton and pearls
It's the place where they keep all the darkness you need
You sail away from the light of the world on this trip, baby
You will pay tomorrow
You're gonna pay tomorrow
You will pay tomorrow
Oh, save me, save me from tomorrow
I don't want to sail with this Ship of Fools, no, no
Oh, save me, save me from tomorrow
I don't want to sail with this Ship of Fools
I want to run and hide
Right now
Avarice and greed are gonna drive you over the endless sea
They will leave you drifting in the shallows
Drowning in the oceans of history
Traveling the world, you're in search of no good
But I'm sure you'll build your Sodom like you knew you would
Using all the good people for your galley slaves
As your little boat struggles through the warning waves
But you don't, pay
You will pay tomorrow
You're gonna pay tomorrow
You're gonna pay tomorrow
Oh, save me, save me from tomorrow
I don't want to sail with this Ship of Fools, no, no
Oh, save me, save me from tomorrow
I don't want to sail with this Ship of Fools, no, no
Where's it coming from
Oh, Where's it going now
It's just a, it's just a Ship of Fools
Robert: I think the ship of war needs hi-jacking first, then the starship will be comparatively easier.
Re:Coast to Coast: I think the Clear Channel stations have ratcheted up the neo-con hate radio by removing the rebroadcast of C2C from 10-1 weeknights. C2C just barely is the only somewhat liberal thing left on my station and I am so sick of Noory. He was so much better four years ago. I don't see how on the surface of it, C2C gets on the schedule of neo con radio stations except for the ratings.
Re: Keith Olbermann: I have abandoned televison for the most part but I am gratified that there is one person who still gets it. He's probably the only one or one of the very few.
What Olbermann said ties oddly with a trend noticed by those of us who work in non-profit groups like arts organisations and libraries etc. The trend is to have director/ceo's who are clueless and mentally ill and we not joking about the mentally ill part. Bush/Rummy/Cheney and company would be very typical of the insanity seen on the local level which makes the positions they hold all the more frightening.

Scarlet, v,
Interesting story on AOL about fascism being the new Republican buzz word; as in Islamic Fascists. That's interesting. The dictionary definition is:
Fascism, noun.
1. the form of government in Italy from 1922 to 1943, under the leadership of Benito Mussolini. It was ruled by a dictator, with strong control of industry and labor by the central government, great restrictions upon the freedom of individuals, and extreme nationalism and militarism. It was opposed to radical socialism and communism.
I guess that about says it all huh? Even though we don't have a dictator this guy sure is leaning in that direction and thinks he should have that power. The gov't doesn't have control of industry per se, it is more like the reverse, big business has control of gov't. It all amounts to the same thing. It's all just a different look to the same crap. So watch out for those nasty "Islamic Fascists".
One of my spiritual teachers taught me that the danger of hatred was that the thing you hate most you become. Wonder if that is what happened to the shrub?
My opinion hasn't changed. The fear mongering is just to justify more war on people/ countries that have nothing to do with the situation being hyped. Now he's still beating the drum for sanctions on Iran. If Iran does get nukes so what? If they use them it will be the one and only time. I'm sure they know that. And what if what they say is true and they are using them for domestic power? It's not like these guys have been right all the time with thier intelligence(now there's a contradiction of terms) before. How much more stupid and war mongering will we look to the world then? This bunch has to go and there is no better place to start than the next election. All incumbents should be thrown out to send a message if nothing else. My opinion is that they should all go home for about 5 years and do nothing. Maybe we could clean up the mess while they are on sabatical.
Happy Labor Day weekend all.

Am I to understand that radio stations are replacing Coast to Coast AM (glorified Internet Radio) with Neo-Con shock jocks ? When 580 CFRA yanked Coast from the air waves in Ottawa, it was because C2C wouldn't shut up about 9-11 and had irresponsible fear-mongering blameful guests. This was back in Jan. 2003, but in Canada, Clear Channel has a reputation on par with Faux News - and the rejection of Faux News by the Canadian Radio & Television Commission (CRTC) played out in Ottawa - and I don't think ANY story broken or broadcast by Clear Channel would be believed in Ottawa.
Uni - I caught a video of Bill Hicks and my wife was amazed how he frames his stories the same way as I do. I don't know what the video was called, but it was about 1991 (he mentioned George Bush being President) and he was in Austin, re-playing a show he had done in the mid-80s (camera kept flashing back to it).
For Scarlet & SSC & (whatever happened to) MsT et al .... Bill Hicks reminded me about the topic of Truth & Beauty. I think men are hard-wired to be interested in women their own age. Flooding of the market with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton pictures conceals that the REAL demand (among men) is to see the women that interest them intellectually.
What I wanna know : is this true ? Do you have dinner with a 45yr old and he turns his head at a 20yr old ? Or, a guy won't commit to a 30 something girl, then marries the first 20yr old that he meets ? I need help going against the grain of popular belief & probably polls too. What the 40yr old (at her sexual peak) can get away with that the bar-stars cannot : the truth in the eye of the beholder. Ergo, it's the 45yr old with the 20yr old wife that is living in his past.
Their consciousness (mind & spirit) are aligned to their body - whish represents a truth - in an, "I'm just being myself" sort of way. Does that make sense ? I question the Stats and conventional wisdom because my wacky idea was confirmed by www.showcase.ca - they had a commercial using a 60yr old lady (just to exaggerate). She is in a banquet hall of some kind and says, "I've had every man in this room - Thanks Showcase !!" Well, anyways, what I hope you can enlighten us on : TV tells us that 20yr olds get all the attention ... and that Showcase commercial and living in VanCougar sort of tell me that they're wrong.

The Canadian terminus for this behometh is Fort McMurray. The Alberta government website says they need this road.
It reminds me of the Kamloops Airport. The flight path for all traffic in and out of Kamloops requires aircraft to fly low over almost all parts of the city. The actual landing strip is on a delta where the Thompson River runs into Kamloops Lake a narrow but deep 30 mile long lake which does not facilitate aircraft landing due to the several hundred foot cliffs along the shoreline. The city fathers have to work very hard to justify an airport when it is such an irritant for almost everybody with low flying extremely loud passenger carriers flying half empty and only hundreds of feet over residential areas including the approach which is over the better neighbourhoods a thousand feet above the airport altitude. The city only has 80,000 people and more or less convenient airports are only 100 miles away. The military exercises have been training for Afghanistan here since February and it's becoming more apparent who this airport serves.

Hi All,
The Pentagon is reported to believe that Iraq is slipping into civil war according to the NYT this morning. How will Bush and his minions spin this one.
The Kurds in the north have taken down the Iraq flag and replaced it with the Kurdish one. How will they spin that?
All the signs point to a partitioning of Iraq at some point. If not it WILL be civil war and mostly a dragged out affair.
Two of the fed departments have come out with reports refuting the 'conspiracy theories' regarding 9/11. What a surprise. Right before the primaries in most states. Here the elections are in 2 weeks. The September / October surprise is no surprise if people are expecting it. The State Department report says the gov't was surprised that the theories had such staying power.
The remains of Ernesto are passing through. Not as bad as predicted last night. A few light showers, and some moderate wind. Nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year, though it's been cooler than normal.
Check out the storm winding up tight in the midwest. Looks like a mini hurricane on the satellite.

*ATTENTION ALL HANDS*
I've made an update to Eric's WTF blog...just a few election related remarks and a disclaimer to cover my assets.
Sorry I've been so absent...I have been fighting with so locals on the local newspapers online forum. The main weapon in their arsenal is 'you're a Bush-hater', a popular bit from the Quotations of Chairman Hannity. Been fun shoving it up their bums.
Sunking..thanx for the update. I have posted some extraordinary evidence (Urbane Renewal) concerning WTC at

"Flooding of the market with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton pictures conceals that the REAL demand (among men) is to see the women that interest them intellectually."
Your post is very inetersting becasue I was having a conversation along these lines with a dear friend just yesterday.
I cannot for the life of me understand what a gyrating Brittney has to do with intelligence. I can see a HUGE lack there of...but that men put these images out there to filter out the idiots from the intelligensia is lost on me. To be blunt, I have never met a man who has relieved his loins via a passage from Pride and Prejudice. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, I'm just saying it's exceedingly rare.
Maybe I am missing your point. If so please explain it to me.
Sunking,
Kudos on the amended blog.
I can only assume that your extended absence here today is because
IT OPENING DAY FOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL!
and with that I give a hearty:
ROOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL TIDE!
The topic does come up alot - maybe it's the reflection of the 80s graduates.
My motivation, I guess ... it's a whole new term and I gotta face these people.
I wouldn't mind weaponizing my vocabulary for de-bunking.
I used Britney for contrast because I think men are tidally locked on their generation
... just like their cars, favourite athletes and the music they listen to.
The focus on Britney et al (instead of other more worthy) is as puzzling as
why the press barons over=pay paparazzi but ignore the billionaires & CEOs.
RE: Cougars
I have a good friend in Nashville who is one of these. She is pushing 40 but her lust choices are primarily in their early 20's. Now, none of my other female friends can figure this out. (we are all in our late 30s to early 40's) On one level I wonder if it's a jealousy thing. Sure, it would be very flattering to think that some young stud would find this old mare, ok NAG, attractive enough to to want to swap some DNA. But that's it. I can't think that it could be any deeper than that. On another level however, what I knew at 20 was astoundingly little compared to what I thought I knew. Especially about men.
If men are so "locked into their generation", how do you explain Hugh Hefner? I see Brittney (et. al.) as merely an extension of that whole "whack off material" culture.
As a woman of some maturity I can look at it and know it for what it is and not be threatened by it. What I do NOT appreciate is the ideas it puts into young men's heads about what's real much less beautiful. Doesn't real beauty come from within???
I would like to say that at some point men grow out of this desire to have 18 yr old girls...but then that brings me back to Hugh Hefner and I can pretty much assume that 99% never do, nor want to, get over it.
Cougars have been around, they are just "fashionable" at the moment. And I might add that the majority of so called cougars generally have a bit of money to throw around too. If Demi Moore were working at MacDonalds I can pretty much bank Ashton wouldn't so much as smile at her, much less marry her.
NOW that being said, women now have the ability to appear youthful due to the prevelance of plastic surgery too. So, what's not to like there? She looks 20, but has the drive/know how of a 40 year old. I can see how that might be attractive to a young guy...but in the real world, 99% can't afford a face/breast lift and again, left in the dust to wonder what's wrong with me???
Young women are too immature to see the difference, but they are still sent this message: If you aren't young looking you can't catch a man.
And on it goes. I don't have the answers. But I do see and understand the complexity of the problem. And as the parent of a daughter CC, this is very much your problem...or let's say, it will be. You just wait till the first lecherous old man leers at her. I can promise you, you will want to KILL him.
SURPRISE!!! I have just returned from my summer of hell (hopefully to be published on my blogger soon) and my second order of business, after getting my internet service turned back on, is to show up here!
Thanks Sunking for adding me to the team so quickly. YOU ROCK DUDE.
I haven't had time to read through everything I have missed, and I wont mislead you all by even suggesting that I might find the time. So I will just be picking up here and hope you all understand if I am a little out of the loop for the moment. Of course, I am sure I will catch on to the lastest stuff soon enough, after all, 'the more things change, the more they stay the same'.
Anyway, here's a big HEY ALL to ya. And I look forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Crypto: C2C has been replaced by more neo con hate radio in my area. This is what I can determine from looking at the local schedule for my station and by tuning across the dial around 10-1 most nights. C2C is hardly the same programme it was in 2003, you have said as much yourself along with many others of the crewe. It's not rocking the boat the way it used to, and the stations figure why rebroadcast it when the neo-con "message" is in so much trouble and needing re-inforced?
Your comments about Ed Lames has to be sarcasm. At least I took it that way. Most frequent and worthless guest this side of Sean David Morton.
Who are these people you have to face that you have to weaponise about what middle aged people want in order to debunk? Given how far away you are from your normal topics regarding the origin of place names as it relates to the machinations of TPTB, I find your concern about Britney Spears et.al to be mystifying. Please elucidate.
ScarletM points up a good example with Hugh Hefner whom I find to be very sad on many levels. Is he the exception that proves the rule? I see evidence on both sides of the locked into their generation coin, some of it rather pathetic and some of it honourable.
As for older women and younger men, if they want them and can have them then I say go for it. Turnabout is fair play as far as I'm concerned. Especially in this youth obsessed culture. Ralph Fiennes and Francesca Annis have a 13 year age difference between them with Fiennes being the younger one. Yet it quietly seems to be one of the more successful romances of our time based on love and respect for who they really are to each other. Since love was one of the biggest casualties of the 20th Century, more power to them.
Sunking: excellent update on the blog. Having just finished the Palast Armed Madhouse book, it should be required reading for the crewe, especially John.

Ed Lames! Brilliant!
The topic of women and how little they wear and its effect on men will still be going on this time next century. This from Minna Thomas Antrim 1903
"While fashioning her tunic of fig leaves, Eve must have worried Adam to misery as to its hang."
I too am curious about this being such a hot topic of coversation at the old College campus.
Which tack do you plan to take? Are you asking them to take a more acedemic look at this rampant sexuality? And what the hell does that have to do with Cartography?
What's next? Stripping My Way to Jarusalem 101?
What I noticed/admired about women changed over my lifetime. I can usually remember who to credit for making me notice/appreciate what characteristic. It was a cumulative effect thing - and I would think one of the perks of being a 40yr old male, would be the interest of women in that age group - you know, peak of their sexuality, a head filled with memories & ideas ...
My interpretation changed as styles of jeans changed - my concept of beauty and art got turned upside down when I was 12 - my eyes opened just as bell-bottoms and gouchos were going out of style (1979 or so). I'm starting to see the new wave of jeans, which are EXACT copies of the mid-80s high-hip jeans .... and they don't hypnotize me the way they once did. These are the jeans that I surrendered to, that I suffered for and made a fool of myself for at times. Rage ! Rage ! Rage against the dying of the light !! Maybe it's because I know how difficult those high-hipped jeans are to remove ?
SSC : It's people I work with and acquaintances. Weaponizing responses to typical self-affirming comments, like, "why do guys like 18yr olds ? cuz they f*-in hot, that's why". The alternative or "rival world view" is the other guy, who is married, still says, "you dig" and advocates 3-somes citing the Bible for sanctification. I think they're both nuts for different reasons ... but they're trying to entertain/impress - I'm just a boring, out-of-touch guy watching Spongebob Squarepants with my son. I toss in little idea-bombs, like, "a chicken is just an egg's way of making another egg" to make them think.
Yeah, I got Ed Dames mixed up with that ginger-guy who pushes the sleeves up on his ski-jacket for his official photo. The William stargate Henry. Once the neutrality of the messenger is exposed,it's time to offer other opinions. Unless they're into myth-making.
One thing I would humbly ask the University of the Aether, which never fails to turn out perfect elegant graceful women ... my advice : if you're a young mother who takes her daughter out to Wal*Mart from 6pm to 10pm, leaving her husband at home to paint the house with a very eager 6yr old boy ... it's customary to bring home snacks !!
Well, I gotta go - my rice-krispie squares and lemonade awaits !!

This admission, however, will most assuredly energize and ignite the 9/11 truth rallies scheduled to be held in New York City on the weekend preceding September 11, 2006. Can you just envision the hand-wringing and beads of profuse sweat on the part of the members of The New York Times' board of propagandists and news planners? And what about FOXNews over there on Sixth Avenue? To be sure, they're all in crisis mode planning; how will they be able to keep the lid on this vital news for the American people?
In an article originated by the Associated Press and posted on CNN.com entitled, "9/11 conspiracy theorists energized Five years later, purveyors claim academic momentum," the August 6th
piece begins, "Kevin Barrett believes the U.S. government might have destroyed the World Trade Center. Steven Jones is researching what he calls evidence that the twin towers were brought down by explosives detonated inside them, not by hijacked airliners."
This, along with the support of C-Span in broadcasting the David Ray Griffin presentation at the University of Wisconsin, and their now-famous double broadcast of the American Scholars Symposium in Los Angeles, have served as the initial breakthrough which is providing the required basis for inquiry on the part of the American public concerning the now-evident lies and fraud our government handed down to US concerning 9/11. The Associated Press, CNN, C-Span, and even my small town newspaper, thanks to yours truly, are breaking the story it's only a matter of time when some highly credentialed reporter and news agency uncovers a truly irrefutable "ah-hah" and the whole house of Bush cards will come crashing to the ground. The Bush criminals know it, they can feel the heat, so watch out Iran and Syria!
Here's more from that CNN.com article: "These men aren't uneducated junk scientists: Barrett will teach a class on Islam at the University of Wisconsin this fall, over the protests of more than 60 state legislators. Jones is a tenured physicist at Brigham Young University whose mainstream academic job has made him a hero to conspiracy theorists." It is easy to note the reluctance on the part of even these most recent inquiring journalists and their organizations have in terms of their difficulty in letting go, thereby reinforcing the fantasy of a caring compassionate government.
And even so-called empirically motivated scientists display an overarching loyalty to politics, politicians and government bureaucrats thereby creating a stifling effect on objective observation, research and analysis. Such a "scientist" was identified in the CNN article as one F. R. Greening, " a Canadian chemist who has written several papers rebutting the science used by September 11 conspiracy theorists. 'It's science, but it's politically motivated. It's science with an ax to grind, and therefore not really science.'" No matter how many degrees this ignorant and deliberately uninformed individual holds, he will always be viewed by this writer as uninformed and ignorant. His "reasoning" is simply astonishing! And it is representative of the many credentialed so-called "scientists" and "educators" who are heavily connected to the government and government bureaucracies via grants and government funding. Rocking the government boat is verboten.
All throughout scientific history, scientists have created theories, hypotheses and predictions in order to connect gaps in empirical analysis and observation. Such true scientists will grasp at anything offered as a possible starting point. How mentally shallow and unimaginative it is for a so-called scientist such as Greening purports himself to be to dismiss a hypothesis because it is "politically motivated"; and how ignorant is it to dismiss any and all scientific inquiry and investigation of an event or series of events because it may have its origins in a political argument. Think of Galileo and others who have been persecuted by government at the conclusion of an empirical observation that was viewed as unacceptable by ignorant politicians and rulers. This guy arrives at the same bias before it ever gets off the ground!
The article also cites former assistant professor of mechanical engineering Judy Wood. Until just recently, she was employed by Clemson, always thought to be an institution of higher learning as opposed to a government propaganda center. Wood is quoted and says it all: "'If the U.S. government is lying about how the buildings came down, anything else they say cannot be believed. So why would they want to tell us an incorrect story if they weren't part of it?'"
The article continues: "At Clemson, Wood did not receive tenure last year, but her former department chair, Imtiaz ul Haque, denies her accusation that it was partly because of her September 11 views. 'Are you blackballed for delving into this topic?' Oh yes,' Wood said. 'And that is why there are so few who do. Most contracts have something to do with some government research lab. So what would that do to you? The consequences are too great for a career. But I made the choice that the truth was more important.'"
What we have in evidence here is a strangling, entangling alliance between our government and the very highest institutions in America. We have a MSM that is loyal only to Israel, on the grant-take government "scientists" and "researchers" who cannot speak out for fear of losing either their jobs or their institution's government funding, and a group of broadcast schlocks in the form of Limbaughs, O'Reillys and Hannitys, whose loyalty is not to America and its people, but to a political party not governed by any rule of law. It is the government that must obey the rule of law, and the broadcasts schlocks fail to see that our political parties and the government they control obey nothing but their own greed and lust for power.

There has been some real "news" just coming through the ether that will take more than the regular "gravy for the brain" to distil out of cosmic consciousness. An actual witness to the skullduggery has come forth and he has put a deposition on the net. Should confuse the mass media for at least a couple of days. hehe..

Posting this is meant as a deterrent. I don't mind being "wrong" time and time again when it comes to this stuff. Posted on Save the Males, Henry Makow....
This latest posting is important enough but the reader must know that neither of the parties are identified, although their telephone numbers are. One, the A party, is calling from a telephone located inside Washington’s plush Hay-Adams hotel while the second, the B party, is using the main telephone number of the United States Attorney’s office in New York City. It should be fairly obvious that one of the parties, the one in Washington, has some connection with the staff of the Vice President. The call was recorded on August 18, 2006 and I am only showing a portion of it. The rest of what was a 20 minute call is filled with trivia.
A @ 202 638-6600 (Washington, D.C.)
B @ 212 637-2200 (New York City, N.Y.)
……
A: Of course you never know what is serious, what can happen, what will happen and what is only wishful thinking. But there is enough there….
B: How much have you actually seen…or heard? I mean factually, not just latrine rumors.
A: Plenty. In a twisted way, it makes sense. I suppose it does. Anyway, I have nothing to do with it and just knowing about something in advance is not a crime, unless someone can find a paper or remember a conversation that is.
B: Before the fact.
A: Right. That’s why I say you and your family should leave your nice Big Apple place about the ninth of October and go visit your relatives in Arizona. Then you can watch it on CNN.
B: How long a vacation?
A: Why not a week either way?
B: And you? Any vacation for you? But you don’t have any kids or plants to take care of.
A: True but Georgetown is pretty safe. New York won’t be. God knows what kind of chemicals will be in the air and a good wind coming from Jersey could bring some nasty surprises. Isn’t it better to be safe than sorry?
B: Sure. But packing up means stories to everyone and I would have to be cool and collected about it. The kids would miss Halloween parties if I stay long enough and there is school to consider. I suppose I ought to call home and get them to invite me. I can’t just drop in on them.
A: No but try not to sound concerned. How long since you’ve seen them out there?
B: About a year, give or take. I’ll start on this right away. Will you be involved?
A: Shit no. I told you I want to know nothing about all of this and…
B: No, no, no….I mean will you have to go down there?
A: No. I’m not important enough. He might not even go. He will probably put Bush up to going to show the flag as he could say, while he does what he’s been doing for six years now and that’s running the country. No, he’ll stay right here and make sure he can keep his eyes and his hands on everything. I know he’s been writing speeches and policy statements on this because I’ve seen several when I have been filing.
B: Does he know you look at things?
A: Christ, I hope not. I just smile and look admiring and once in a while, I get a brief smile or a nod. He wants so much to be the real President but it will never happen. Too many people hate him. He’s not all that bad privately but officially, he’s a real Beria, if you know what I mean. Competent, very much so, and cold as ice. Jesus, he really does not like Bush at all. I have heard him say things about him…he thinks he’s a basket case. You know, it’s funny because when he put himself on the ticket, he had no idea Bush would be such an intransigent nut. But he’s been waiting for real power for years and now that he has it, he’s not going to blow it. I don’t know why he just doesn’t cash in his stock options when the term is over and retire and write books. He’s got a really bum ticker and he could go at any time.
B: Quadruple bypass, right?
A: Oh yes, and he takes more pills than a hippie.
B: Then why does he care?
A: His precious party might lose everything he has worked towards for so many years, that’s why. If they lose in November, don’t forget, there could be investigations and I can tell you what with the stock business and the hidden bank accounts, he’d spend his last years in a Federal jail somewhere.
B: They think they’ll never get caught…
A: Or die. Anyway, you know enough not to tell your wife or anyone else about this heads up, don’t you. Two ways to get secret information out. Telephone and tell a woman.
B: My wife isn’t that way at all but I take your drift. I say nothing. But won’t one of the perps get sloshed and tell some cunt about it? Or his priest?
A: Don’t worry about priests. They’re using Jews for this one, like the last time. I think it’s rabbis, not priests.
B: They were involved in 2001…
A: Yes and they passed it on, knowing nothing would be done. And no one is going to nail them on this one because they can snitch about the last one. Hell, they’ve been using that one for leverage for five years now. They’re smart assholes, I’ll give them that.
B: Why that target and not something like the Liberty Bell? Or they could blow up a plane with a lot of top Democrats on board, right?
A: If the refinery goes, you can see and hear it in your apartment. No damage to New York but plenty of dramatic fireworks. Keep the media busy for months. At least it will be better than the Aruba adventure. You have to keep the number of in-the-know people down to about three. The hebe guy running this operation is from DC originally and Interpol is after him for his operation down under. Linden is right on the water and it’s easy in and easy out…if they’re lucky. Oh, and here’s a nice touch. They want to leave a dead raghead behind, like some guard shot him. I mean someone they have in jail, over there, not here, with a long record of militant activity and I mean well-documented. And one of my man’s people will accidentally discover him nice and dead with all kinds of fake evidence in his pockets, for certain putting the blame on bin Laden. And that’s a joke because bin Laden has been dead since ’03.
B: Did we ice him somewhere?
A: No. Kidney failure in a paki hospital. He makes a good boogeyman. You know the drill: If you don’t vote for us, the rotten, weak faggot Democrats will take over and bin Laden will rejoice and kill all of you.
B: It has worked before as I remember. Red Alerts and duct tape.
A: And then we can have real Red Alert days, just before elections.
B: As usual. Not to change the subject but how do you think the immigration votes will go? My people live in Tucson and they are worried sick about all of the beaners shooting each other over drugs. What will happen?
A: What do you think? They supply our friendly agribusiness tycoons with slave labor so we make a lot of noise and do nothing.
B: McCain…
A: He’s a nut. I guess being locked up in a zipperhead jail in solitary for five years snapped him.

Editor’s note: Bayway Refinery is a refining facility used by ConocoPhillips, located in Linden, New Jersey. This is the northernmost refinery on the East Coast of the United States. The oil refinery converts crude oil (supplied by tanker) into gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, and heating oil. As of 2006, the facility processes approximately 238,000 barrels per day (BPD) of crude oil, producing 145,000 BPD of gasoline and 110,000 BPD of distillates. Its products are delivered to East Coast customers via pipeline transport, barges, railcars and tank trucks.
The facility also houses a petrochemical plant which produces lubricants and additives, a polypropylene plant which produces 775 million pounds per year, and has its own railway container terminal and heliport.
Linden is a City in Union County, New Jersey. Located southwest of Elizabeth, a few miles from New York Harbor. Together with Elizabeth, Linden is home to the Bayway Refinery, a ConocoPhillips refining facility that helps supply petroleum-based products to the New York/New Jersey area.

I second a request for a link! This transcription is almost too easy.
Okay, let me see if I got this straight: The jist of the WTC buildings is that incompatible materials were used in the construction of the building and would have made the building extremely dangerous about halfway through its expected life cycle. Then a plan was put into place to eventually detonate the buildings and detonation devices were probably in place for some time and the building's tenants were completely unaware of this. The repairs that could have been made were not be to made because the repairs itself would have been a scandal and cost more money than the owners were willing to spend.
This plan to eventually decommisson and take down the buildings dovetails into another plan for the second phase of the coup that began in 2000 to consolidate power. The planes alone would have only damaged dying buildings but not have taken them down. Using the built-in demo devices would have a more specatacular effect and counting on the average American's ignorance of architecture guaranteed the towers would come down perfectly in their own footprints.
The evil bastards who owned the buildings walk away with incredible amounts of insurance money and the evil bastards who run this country get to launch their war on the American people and then the rest of the world.
Greed, lust for power, insanity.
Got that, check.

What do we know about this Henry Makow fellow? How reliable is this 'phone call' disclosure?
Eric...
I went to this 'Save the Males' site. The name alone should have alerted me to it's content.
And just when I began to think perhaps you guys weren't all knuckle dragging cro-magnons......
Save the MALES? Are you kidding me? Yes, save you from yourselves indeed!!!
How am I to take a word of what he says seriously when he does nothing but promote male dominance and feminine submission?
What I really love is this little nugget from the "taped conversation"
"My wife isn’t that way at all but I take your drift. I say nothing. But won’t one of the perps get sloshed and tell some cunt about it? Or his priest?"
What a charming guy! Defends his wife in one breath and then calls all the rest "cunts".
I had taken the whole conversation in stride until I saw it's source.
But DR. Makow is for freedom and justice for all! (men)
Offended doesn't even begin to describe my feelings right now.
Save the Males ... well, I guess it's possible to save deterioration of the Y chromosome with lead-lined underwear or something - but why can't they try to save the males in such a way that will inspire the females wanna help ? Duh ... It's not any kind of serious interest group with language like that - it's just another self-interest group.
I think the c-word is about as classy as the n-word ... but it's a way that an insider can know they're preaching to the already converted. A non-convert would challenge the c-word or n-word, not the shaky logic.
He doesn't have a Mom or worry about his kids reading his words one day ? We have people that pore over 19th century newspapers, so it's safe to say that future historians will mine the way-back machine for glimpses of what we were like.
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies -- I Timothy 1:4

I see your point here, and it's how I took the reading at first. I'm a big girl and i can read things like that without my eyes burning out. (someone better warn John though :) ) That's not what had me offended. It's the whole thing put together.
On reading the thing out of context, one can say " Oh geeze, this could be really important"
but when put together with its source is when it becomes SO offensive. HOW can you take such a thing seriously from a hate site to begin with?
For instance: someone claims he's got an audio tape of Jesus telling the world what day he's to return, but the information is on a KKK site. It doesn't really add up now does it? Not a very "Christian" place to gain that kind of information, and it implies that Jesus somehow endorses White Supremacy.
Frankly, anyone dumb enough to post something like that there really doesn't give a flip to save EVERYONE. only a chosen few...and in my book that has QUACK written all over it.
(so why post it at all...oh that's right, so the MEN get saved, screw their "c" wives)
That has got to be the lowest and even worse than the actual false attack. That's why I am so offended.
And to clarify, I didn't mean to imply that any of YOU, my dear sweet big brothers could ever be so utterly ignorant in that kind of anti-female type thinking...right???? ;)
A cursory look at Makow's site makes me go WTF? The articles on feminism are ridiculous which doesn't do much for making the rest of the site credible.
So, then, this transcription on the Makow site is too easy. Another example of Dan Rather Syndrome or something else? You know, release true information, but put it in a package that no one will take seriously and destroy the credibility of the information. Or is it pure disinfo? Since we know the government also monitors their own employees' communications I can't imagine this would have gone un-noticed and unpunished by their evil masters.
WTF?
Feminism was elevated quickly to serve as a counter-weight to those who would expose the class distinctions. Had it developed without help from above, it would have worked out all the kinks - kinks that corporate culture don't want worked out. The rub : women were victims, men were not. Boys were lied to and duped into joining the military "to see the world" - boys who didn't own land & therefore couldn't vote. Land ownership as the criteria for a vote shows the gradual shift from focus on territory to focus on polity - but someone keeps jamming the gears with a crow-bar.
Both sexes are exploited for their unique bodies, but rich women definitely benefitted from the status quo. Maybe they had no vote, but it's wrong to dress up the Leona Helmsley's of the Era as victims & damsells when they had male servants, waiters and masseurs - with no labour laws. Just because they were Y-challenged or Ovaried Individuals ? Femin-ISM seeks to strive for equality - with who ? It seeks to put rich women on par with rich men - it does not seek to make rich women on par with poor men (perish the thought). A masculin-ist seeks to preserve the dominant role of men (over women) in society ... but you gotta be a rich man to preserve your dominant role.
I guess I'll forever wonder, "What DO they tell the poor girls that wander in to the Women's Center ?"
Just trying to stir things up :-)
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
First inaugural address, Saturday, March 4, 1933
I am certain that my fellow Americans expect that on my induction into the Presidency I will address them with a candor and a decision which the present situation of our Nation impels. This is preeminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly. Nor need we shrink from honestly facing conditions in our country today. This great Nation will endure as it has endured, will revive and will prosper. So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself--nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.
In such a spirit on my part and on yours we face our common difficulties. They concern, thank God, only material things. Values have shrunken to fantastic levels; taxes have risen; our ability to pay has fallen; government of all kinds is faced by serious curtailment of income; the means of exchange are frozen in the currents of trade; the withered leaves of industrial enterprise lie on every side; farmers find no markets for their produce; the savings of many years in thousands of families are gone.
More important, a host of unemployed citizens face the grim problem of existence, and an equally great number toil with little return. Only a foolish optimist can deny the dark realities of the moment.
Yet our distress comes from no failure of substance. We are stricken by no plague of locusts. Compared with the perils which our forefathers conquered because they believed and were not afraid, we have still much to be thankful for. Nature still offers her bounty and human efforts have multiplied it. Plenty is at our doorstep, but a generous use of it languishes in the very sight of the supply. Primarily this is because the rulers of the exchange of mankind's goods have failed, through their own stubbornness and their own incompetence, have admitted their failure, and abdicated. Practices of the unscrupulous money changers stand indicted in the court of public opinion, rejected by the hearts and minds of men.
True they have tried, but their efforts have been cast in the pattern of an outworn tradition. Faced by failure of credit they have proposed only the lending of more money. Stripped of the lure of profit by which to induce our people to follow their false leadership, they have resorted to exhortations, pleading tearfully for restored confidence. They know only the rules of a generation of self-seekers. They have no vision, and when there is no vision the people perish.
The money changers have fled from their high seats in the temple of our civilization. We may now restore that temple to the ancient truths. The measure of the restoration lies in the extent to which we apply social values more noble than mere monetary profit.
Happiness lies not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort. The joy and moral stimulation of work no longer must be forgotten in the mad chase of evanescent profits. These dark days will be worth all they cost us if they teach us that our true destiny is not to be ministered unto but to minister to ourselves and to our fellow men.
Recognition of the falsity of material wealth as the standard of success goes hand in hand with the abandonment of the false belief that public office and high political position are to be valued only by the standards of pride of place and personal profit; and there must be an end to a conduct in banking and in business which too often has given to a sacred trust the likeness of callous and selfish wrongdoing. Small wonder that confidence languishes, for it thrives only on honesty, on honor, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection, on unselfish performance; without them it cannot live.
Restoration calls, however, not for changes in ethics alone. This Nation asks for action, and action now.
Our greatest primary task is to put people to work. This is no unsolvable problem if we face it wisely and courageously. It can be accomplished in part by direct recruiting by the Government itself, treating the task as we would treat the emergency of a war, but at the same time, through this employment, accomplishing greatly needed projects to stimulate and reorganize the use of our natural resources.
Hand in hand with this we must frankly recognize the overbalance of population in our industrial centers and, by engaging on a national scale in a redistribution, endeavor to provide a better use of the land for those best fitted for the land. The task can be helped by definite efforts to raise the values of agricultural products and with this the power to purchase the output of our cities. It can be helped by preventing realistically the tragedy of the growing loss through foreclosure of our small homes and our farms. It can be helped by insistence that the Federal, State, and local governments act forthwith on the demand that their cost be drastically reduced. It can be helped by the unifying of relief activities which today are often scattered, uneconomical, and unequal. It can be helped by national planning for and supervision of all forms of transportation and of communications and other utilities which have a definitely public character. There are many ways in which it can be helped, but it can never be helped merely by talking about it. We must act and act quickly.
Finally, in our progress toward a resumption of work we require two safeguards against a return of the evils of the old order; there must be a strict supervision of all banking and credits and investments; there must be an end to speculation with other people's money, and there must be provision for an adequate but sound currency.
There are the lines of attack. I shall presently urge upon a new Congress in special session detailed measures for their fulfillment, and I shall seek the immediate assistance of the several States.
Through this program of action we address ourselves to putting our own national house in order and making income balance outgo. Our international trade relations, though vastly important, are in point of time and necessity secondary to the establishment of a sound national economy. I favor as a practical policy the putting of first things first. I shall spare no effort to restore world trade by international economic readjustment, but the emergency at home cannot wait on that accomplishment.
The basic thought that guides these specific means of national recovery is not narrowly nationalistic. It is the insistence, as a first consideration, upon the interdependence of the various elements in all parts of the United States--a recognition of the old and permanently important manifestation of the American spirit of the pioneer. It is the way to recovery. It is the immediate way. It is the strongest assurance that the recovery will endure.
In the field of world policy I would dedicate this Nation to the policy of the good neighbor--the neighbor who resolutely respects himself and, because he does so, respects the rights of others--the neighbor who respects his obligations and respects the sanctity of his agreements in and with a world of neighbors.
If I read the temper of our people correctly, we now realize as we have never realized before our interdependence on each other; that we can not merely take but we must give as well; that if we are to go forward, we must move as a trained and loyal army willing to sacrifice for the good of a common discipline, because without such discipline no progress is made, no leadership becomes effective. We are, I know, ready and willing to submit our lives and property to such discipline, because it makes possible a leadership which aims at a larger good. This I propose to offer, pledging that the larger purposes will bind upon us all as a sacred obligation with a unity of duty hitherto evoked only in time of armed strife.
With this pledge taken, I assume unhesitatingly the leadership of this great army of our people dedicated to a disciplined attack upon our common problems.
Action in this image and to this end is feasible under the form of government which we have inherited from our ancestors. Our Constitution is so simple and practical that it is possible always to meet extraordinary needs by changes in emphasis and arrangement without loss of essential form. That is why our constitutional system has proved itself the most superbly enduring political mechanism the modern world has produced. It has met every stress of vast expansion of territory, of foreign wars, of bitter internal strife, of world relations.
It is to be hoped that the normal balance of executive and legislative authority may be wholly adequate to meet the unprecedented task before us. But it may be that an unprecedented demand and need for undelayed action may call for temporary departure from that normal balance of public procedure.
I am prepared under my constitutional duty to recommend the measures that a stricken nation in the midst of a stricken world may require. These measures, or such other measures as the Congress may build out of its experience and wisdom, I shall seek, within my constitutional authority, to bring to speedy adoption.
But in the event that the Congress shall fail to take one of these two courses, and in the event that the national emergency is still critical, I shall not evade the clear course of duty that will then confront me. I shall ask the Congress for the one remaining instrument to meet the crisis--broad Executive power to wage a war against the emergency, as great as the power that would be given to me if we were in fact invaded by a foreign foe.
For the trust reposed in me I will return the courage and the devotion that befit the time. I can do no less.
We face the arduous days that lie before us in the warm courage of the national unity; with the clear consciousness of seeking old and precious moral values; with the clean satisfaction that comes from the stern performance of duty by old and young alike. We aim at the assurance of a rounded and permanent national life.
We do not distrust the future of essential democracy. The people of the United States have not failed. In their need they have registered a mandate that they want direct, vigorous action. They have asked for discipline and direction under leadership. They have made me the present instrument of their wishes. In the spirit of the gift I take it.
In this dedication of a Nation we humbly ask the blessing of God. May He protect each and every one of us. May He guide me in the days to come.

Scarletm..I wondered about "save the males" as well. Having been a "feminist" myself in the 70's making signs for the March in March and asked not to participate otherwise, seemed to me to be what "V" is referring to as the pendulum effect. Regardless, Gloria Steinem and Ms. Magazine have been identified as covert multinational CIA fronts for the Mellon Corporation met to "divide and conquer" still reverberating here and everywhere to this day.
Makow is a Jew and may be thinking about the abduction and murder of first born males conducted by Herod or he may be referring to the above. I'm not sure. I am, however, "shocked" at your take on the name.
I have back checked the phone conversation to verify it's source before and since I posted it. The link provided by Henry Makow does not pan out. I wonder if it was taken down from the original source or is there something there that I couldn't find. Regardless, the planning and execution of false flag (see wiki) ops should be perfectly clear to all at this site... Well worth watching the 45 minute video or even just listening while you blog on...
http://www.officialconfusion.com/77/
Offering an example of elite handiwork, David Rockefeller told Greer that the feminist movement was one of 'their' creations. He said 'they' invented feminism for two reasons;
1) put the 'other half' to working and paying taxes.
2) reduce Mom's time with kids, increasing influence on kids of 'their' government schools
Number one works. I guess number two is also plausible enough.
Eric said....The link provided by Henry Makow does not pan out.
No big surprise there.
"Regardless, Gloria Steinem and Ms. Magazine have been identified as covert multinational CIA fronts for the Mellon Corporation met to "divide and conquer" still reverberating here and everywhere to this day."
I'd really like to hear what Ms. Steinem et al would think of this.
She'd be laughing herself silly I am sure. FWIW: I am NO fan of the Femininst movement per se, and if you ask me Gloria did all women a dis service by painting us as unworthy unless we abandon our homes only to prove our worthyness to men/ourselves/the world by means of the business world. That's HOGWASH. I resent her for taking the far more honorable "job" of motherhood/raising a family and reducing it to secondclass citizenship with in the sex.
In a single generation we have gone from being proud to do a "natural" duty, to having to explain redfacedly and defensivly that some of us are "Stay at home mothers".
That she took that "career choice" away from us is highly resentful to me.
BUT
I will be eternally greatful that I can leave that world once the children are grown, and become a CEO, a lawyer, a Dr. whatever, and still be respected and get paid at least close to what the male counterpart would be. With out those pioneers, it would be exceedingly difficult.
Its men like Mankow Phd. ( oh im sooo impressed...)who would keep us chained at home so that the men might keep all that money and power to thhemselves, to further subjugate. There is a term for it.
Male Chauvinist Pig.
and if I have to be c*** about it, I guess I will have to. ;)
And I don't necessarily buy the whole covertness behind the Femininst movement. If so, someone would have scilenced the Suffergettes 50 years prior, when it was far easier to control women due to less ambigous social mores.
I can also understand this idea that the less influence a mother has on her children the more likely the "school system" (HA!) can have over the influence of said children. All I can say to that is: their influence ,thankfully, stops at my front door. But I have seen an increasinly creepy "big brother" element exert itself in the form of a flyer sent home with my son last week.
The flyer was from the "safety and control officer" who is an ON DUTY Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Deputy that sits at the elementery school all day.His car ever so jauntilly parked in full view in the FRONT of the school.(My tax dollars at work here)
I do not live in a high crime area, and trust me there are no gangs at the school. Anyhow this bright yellow flyer was shoved in my hand when I picked him up last Tuesday.
To paraphrase it:
This is just a "friendly reminder" that not all the car riding children he sees coming to school are not seat belted in. Then in bold letters it said THIS IS FLORIDA LAW under statute (whatever the statue # was).
My step daughter went all through this elementery school and not once do I recall a letter coming home like this. EVER. Maybe a friendly "Buckle Up" from the Principal, but to go to such overt lengths and EXPENSE I might add, it is obviously Mr. Sherff sending me and anyone else a message...
WE ARE WATCHING YOU.
It creeped me out, and I'm still slightly preturbed about it. And believe me I AM taking that warning and looking into a private school for next term....
I tell you all of this to perhaps give a touch of creedence to Unipax"s post, but I feel its a MUCH bigger statement on the "innocent looking" police state that is already infiltrating our youngest learners.
Both those guys in the 'phone conversation' (if true???) should be locked into a room with either a Bene Gesserit or an Honored Matre. :)
They'd change attitude real fast...if they survived.
Bob...:D
If mothering/motherhood is too good for some women ... just think how highly work-at-home Dads are regarded. My own father can't contain his shame (lives 2 miles away, but has only seen his grandson 3x in 6yrs).
So, yeah, peer pressure among the 1950s crowd is pretty intense.
I've got a 6yr old who is pretty happy about it ... and my wife keeps her seniority. The most productive years are not the most profitable in my field - the average age of a PhD grad is 47yrs in my field - my best years are ahead of me.
The problem with people in general - they've been led to assume that everyone wants to be a two-income family - contracting out the trust, love and protection.
I'll take the second-class citizen status in the extended family and in society .... but at least my kids won't feel abadoned or second priority.

Uni - Would love to read Greer's interview with Rockefeller !!
I wish I was the one asking the questions ... but reading/listening/watching is the next best thing.

I think its admirable that you stay home for your children. It's also nice to know I can have long talks about Sponge Bob with someone other than my son ;)
I proudly admit to being a Sponge Bob fan thank you very much.
Hi all...
Long time no type...
My blog's been updated (newenterprisecrewman.blogspot.com)...
John
It wasn't eggzackly an interview with Rockefeller.
The Rockefellers had the Greer's for dinner. Dave told Steve that due to pressure from his family, he would not be able to continue his support of Steve's disclosure campaign. The support was more like lobbying, rather than $ support, or maybe it would have become both.
Its in Steve's new book "Hidden Truth - Forbidden Knowledge", which I liked.
I saw the chance for hard work, no pay and eternal glory - and I took it !!
When a son takes on a job or does work that is not good enough for a woman ...
well, there's the rejection of lifestyle choice, peer pressure,
quoting what have said & describing what people will say
Well, I know how people feel about coming out of the closet !!
My Mom taught me so much, I could juggle 4 kids (no offense krazyby4kids)
The way I look at it : when it comes to my family, there is no job beneath me
A real man weighs what is best for his wife, son and daughter against his ego
For me, it was an easy & an obvious choice.
I don't get the worst of it socially - I have a "purpose in life" thru school
A friend of mine says, "I don't work, I'm a stay-at-home Dad" and pays a far heavier price than me.
My favourite episode, I-M-A-G-I-N-A-T-I-O-N.
Spongebob & Patrick order a big screen TV just to play in the big box.
UniPax
I'd like to open hailing frequencies to Dr Greer - could we use FSHOD as a vehicle for that maybe ?
If anyone wants to try out a cipher that I suspect to have been used for "swear words" - let me know.
Would be fun to Blog about it ... on a slow news week. It's square #69.
I think the topic took down my last Blog - maybe there's strength in numbers here ?
Lemme know - I can always post it at my Blog.
The time to open a channel with Dr Greer :
If there are a half dozen or dozen people that have the rhyme & reason of the cipher-script
because the disclosure is that Roswell blacks out squares that surround words like "alien".
Maybe we can help Bubba draw Stephen Greer onto his show.
C2C is known as HeeHaw Science, but the C2C search for the truth sorta reminds me of Scooby Doo - except the smart girl has been subdued with hallucinogenic drugs.
Or, maybe there's a better show ?
The Mystery Machine & shadow people make me think Scooby Doo.

I don't know if you get it in Canada, but my absolute favorite down here right now is called Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. The characters are so well developed, unique and smart. It's also completely hysterical, charming and sweet. There are 3 characters that I adore. Eduardo, the big scary looking Minutaur who is scared of his own shadow and loves his friends unconditionally, Bloo, the scarcastic, bratty, wisecracking blue ghost, and Mr Henderman the Director of Fosters. He's a giant, English rabbit that is a sterotypical stuffy headmaster type complete with waistcoat. Anyhow, both my son and I love it and have had some of our best times snuggled on the couch laughing our butts off to Fosters, to the point that we have about 5 inside jokes between us just about Foster's.
I hope you can catch it.

I'm a stay at home dad but we didn't stay at home nor did we watch SpongeBob. We walked and 2 miles isn't much for a 6 year old. Try it. You'll like it.
The walks we took pre-kindergarten were seasonal and site specific. If it was urban, we collected pop cans which included the occasional high point of dumpster diving. If it was spring and on paths and back lanes, we collected flowers (read weeds) for the Mom. There is nothing like a butterfly net to hit the wall with kids. Of course, things need to be recorded, documented and filed in the archive. With all that excitement, who could remember it all. hehe

Hi All,
Scartlet, CC,
Re: Being a stay at home parent...
I've had an adopted daughter for the past 11 years. How that happened is a long story, but suffice to say her mother wasn't doing the job.So I've been a single dad too. Mom is 3000 miles away. I've been a bachelor for pretty much all my life and worked contruction for 15 years as a cabinetmaker. For the last 15 I've been lucky enough to have my own shop on my property. That has let me spend time with my daughter any time I wanted and be somewhere where she could depend on.
CC....I don't know what the shame is about, but that seems like thier problem to me. There is no more important job than raising kids. My mother raised 7 of us, and I consider her a saint. My old man wasn't much help because he wasn't around much. When he was he usually had a pretty good buzz on or was drunk. I bailed at 15 and the last thing I ever wanted was a family. My daughter changed all that and it's been an educational and enlightning experience that changed my life. She knocked a lot of the rough edges off me for sure.
I've worked hard all my life, in some pretty tough places too,but being a parent is harder. The rewards are far greater than any money you can make.

Hi all...
Starshipconstellation, I'll take a look at that politicalhumor link after this...
I've been busy recently, hence the no-shows here. Not to worry though, I'm still alive, and eagerly awaiting 12:29pm tomorrow. I hope to see Atlantis ascend into space on a pillar of flame and smoke. Safely tucked away in it's cargo bay are some of the pieces of a dream of international cooperation in space, and a stepping stone to go back to the Moon, and then Mars. I pray for the successful launch, mission, and landing of the shuttle. Godspeed, STS-115...
Btw, tomorrow's my dad's 61st birthday...
John
Starshipconstellation, I like that site. I always like political humor, no matter which party is the subject. I found a similar site that has every Bushism, although I just checked and it's not as current as your link. Here it is...

In any other city, going one-income might reduce the house size, but not wipe out all hope of home ownership.
BC is known for its "real estate culture" (REC). Sans Pauvre (without poor). The REC (to me) means damn the torpedos and let the price of houses go up without building housing Co-Ops for the "poor" like cops, teachers and optometrists. People move here for the tolerant culture and 12mo/yr skiing & golfing. And the Vancouver Canucks. Those looking for utopia kept going to the Island (for the newly wed and nearly dead).
Typical city
House $200,000. 25% down is $50,000. That's a couple saving $2,000/mo for 2yrs & $150,000 mortgage.
That's do-able on one income.
In BC, people working for the Federal Gov't (for one example) make the same income as other cities.
They have the same employer, pay the same Income Tax. But in BC, houses cost triple.
House $600,000. Worker can carry $150,000 mortgage. That requires $450,000 downpayment.
Saving $5,000/mo for 7.5yrs to get the $450,000 down is crazy.
The only hope for home ownership is to put both spouses to work & put the kids in day care.
That allows for a $300,000 mortgage
... lovely, after saving $5,000/mo for 5yrs to get the $300,000 downpayment ?
So, that's why, in this economy, there's not enough families for a tolerant culture. There is no "instant majority" to make the sacredness of child-rearing automatic. Also, not choosing the two income model seems to irritate those who took the two-income & day care route.
No respect ... No respect ...
V,
Viva Zapitista! I used to keep up with him and the movement, but haven't in the last 10 years or so.

Changing that "market" over to the extra-chromosome conservatives
weeks before an election ?? Well, that is PURELY coincidental.
The purpose of buying up the media :
to provide the right access to a "Clear Channel".
Basically, it's greed-friendly radio.
This strategy goes back to before the "Internets".
They have created a place that will give wedge issues TOP priority
They offer a reality tunnel instead of a clear horizon.
Scarlet,
LOL! Absolutely. May be necessary to do a bunch of meaningless searches and embed your serious needs in those...keep them guessing. Maybe even a cipher could be created from searches, CC?
re: C2C
I've never been able to listen to it. But from hearing all the dissatisfaction from the Crewe about the show, perhaps others sensed the same...if advertisers stop paying the $$$, the show will get bumped.
Funny, the Salem Network channel I listen to Bennett, Praeger, Medved, Hewitt on, has suddenly bumped "I Wanna Be Hannity' Hewitt from the 6PM slot and inserted some Mortgage show....lame-a-rama!
Hmmm...better check the skeds of the local propaganda stations and see Wazzzup?
I took no offense at all, V, my friend. I'm an equal opportunity pervert...and readily admit it! ;)

That would be interesting, if ya put it on yer blog.
We could tell greer to have a look at it.

John: It may be classified as political humour, but it's not at all funny. This is the so called leader of the so called free world and the things that come out of his mouth are appalling. They reveal him to be a thoughtless thug looking for his next cheap thrill and his next handout based on his family connections. Bush may be technically president, but he is no statesman. Compare him against real presidents like Kennedy, Lincoln, both Roosevelts, Jefferson and Washington. Bush looks like the wasted, flatulent past middle age frat boy he is. Political humour that came from the aforementioned presidents have wit, intelligence and insight. What gets called humour from Bush sounds mentally impaired and drug addled instead.
At the rate Bush is admitting war crimes, how long will it be before he admits to 9/11? You'd think admitting to the secret CIA prisons Wayne Madsen has been reporting about forever would be enough to not only get him impeached but a court date at the Hague. Bush's extremely misleading history comparisons to justify his war on the American people are looking at the wrong era and comparing the wrong despots. Lets compare Bush to the Roman emperors of yore. Nero or Caligula anyone?
I've heard three reasons for the disclosure "now" of secret prisons (which are called gulags if it's someone elses nightmare"
1. Congress has something in the works.
2. Mid term elections don't like surprises or skeletons in the closet.
3. Everybody in the whole world knows the CIA are doing this and some of them have credibility and their hands on the controls of public media.
The 14 they are talking about have been under arrest in Thailand, Afghanistan and other unnamed (CNN) countries for almost 5 years. Apparently all connected with bin Laden. Mostly not tortured say sources; just left in the dark and underground.
The claim is that this has deterred at least 3 other terrorist attacks. The last nugget of "public" disclosure is that the 14 prisoners will now be esconced in Gitmo.
Little has been published about the early life of Abraham Lincoln. However, during a search of some old property records and will in a small courthouse in central North Carolina, Alex Christopher the author of "Pandora's Box,"; in one of the old will books dated around 1840, he found the will of one A.A. Springs. Upon reading the will he was shocked and amazed at the secret that it disclosed, but one must remember that it is a known fact that wills, even though they are classified public records the same as property and corporation records, they are rarely combed through as he was doing at the time, and these records hold many dark secrets that can be hidden in public view, but are never uncovered because there are very few who research these old records.
This practice of hiding secrets in public view and the conspirators can say, when faced with the facts and accused of concealing the records; they can reply "Well it was there in the public record in plan view for any and all to find." In the will of A.A. Springs was the list of his property. it went into detail to whom the property was to be dispersed and it included his children. Mr. Christopher and others were looking to find what railroads and banks this man might have owned and had left to his son Leroy Springs. He didn't find anything like that, but he did find the prize of the century. On the bottom of page three of four pages was a paragraph where the father, A.A. Springs, left to his son an enormous amount of land in the state of Alabama which amounted to the land that is today known as Huntsville, Alabama and then he went into detail to name the son and at first Mr. Christopher and the others with him couldn't believe what they were seeing, but there it was the name of the son and it was "ABRAHAM LINCOLN!"
This new information that they had about the Springs (real name Springstein) family, this was just another twist to add to the already manipulative family. This new information about Lincoln built a fire under them to see where this new lead would take them, because everything they had found in the railroad and banking saga had been areal mind-bender. They figured this one would be the same; so they inquired at the local archives and historical records on families and found a reference to one Abraham Lincoln in the family genealogy of the family of the Carolina by the name of McAdden, in a published genealogy on the family. The family members in the Carolinas were in a limited edition that at one time could be found in the public libraries. The section on Lincoln and the story went something like the following:
"In the late spring of the year of 1808 Nancy Hanks, who was of the family lineage of the McAdden family was visiting some of her family in the community of Lincolnton, North Carolina. While on her stay with family in the Carolina', she vistaed with many of the neighboring families that she had known for many years; one such visit was the Springs family. The sordid details had been omitted but obviously the young Nancy Hanks had found herself in a compromised position and was forced to succumb to the lust of A.A. Springs. She became pregnant as a result. There were no details of a love affair or an act of violence on a helpless female. Abraham Lincoln was the result of that act, which leads one to wonder if the name Lincoln was real or a fabricated name for the are of conception was Lincolnton. Was there really a Thomas Lincoln? Since the Spring were of the race that called themselves Jewish, that made Lincoln part Jewish and as part of the Springs family, he also became a relative of the Rothschild family by blood."
The following information was derived from information that exists in the Smithsonian, National Archives, the Congressional Library, Courtroom Police files, public and private libraries and storage vaults across the United States and Europe:
"Abraham Lincoln was slapped three times with a white glove by a member of the Hapsburg royal family of Germany (Payseur family relatives) during a White House reception in 1862. The German royal family member demanded a pistol duel with the, then, President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. The blows to the face stunned Lincoln but he non-verbally refused to participate in the duel by bowing his head before walking out of the reception room. What had ol' honest Abe done to so enrage and up-set the royal European personage?
It seems that the practice of promiscuity was running rampant in many families in those days and the German King Leopold had, had an illegitimate daughter named Elizabeth who was sent to America, where she lived in a very comfortable manner. Although Leopold could not recognize her position, he was very interested in her life.
In the early or mid 1850s, Abraham Lincoln and Elizabeth began having sexual liaisons that produced twin daughters named Ella and Emily in 1856. The regal German father who was so royally up-set with ol' honest Abe probably had full knowledge of what the true blood line of Lincoln really was. Abraham's wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, did not find out about Elizabeth, Ella and Emily until 1865. Previous to being informed about Elizabeth and the twins, Mrs. Lincoln had developed a ravaging dependency on opium. Her main supplier of the drug was a former member of the Confederate Intelligence community, he was a former member because the Southern gentlemen did not approve of his drug pushing and unreliable behavior. It was because of his involvement with the Souther Intelligence Community, Mary's supplier - John Wilks Booth - knew about the lover and the illegal twins.
After being spurned by the Confederate intelligence community, Mary's 'candy man' approached and became involved with the Rothschild Empire of Europe, for he realized the European banking moguls would be very interested in his pipeline to the White House.
(At this time) Abraham was searching for an issue that would unite the North and South. After the Civil War ended. The issue needed to be popular to all levels of American citizenry so they could 'rally around the Stars and Stripes' thus rapidly healing the wounds of the bloodiest war in history. Lincoln was seriously considering one major movement or event that would galvanize his fellow Northern and Southern patriot countrymen into cutting loose the United States of America from the dictatorial grip of the Hapsbergs bloodline of banking control in Europe. All the time, the Rothschilds were trying to take control of the entire world monetary system, and at that time the Rothschilds were trying to get a foot-hold in America and find a way around the British, Virginia Company, and French Bourbon family that were gaining control in this country through government help...
Lincoln found himself in real hot water, because under the Virginia Company covenant the 48 families that formed it were all of the Holy Grail Bloodline. This country was to be an extension of what all the royal families of Europe controlled. The royalty of Europe is Hapsburg, no matter what their name is. The royal family of England is one such example. Now what Lincoln did is he wanted to become independent of the cogenant (in favor of his family) on the Rothschild side...the Rothschilds and their family bloodline have always been undermining the affairs of the Hapsbergs and stealing the monetary control away from them. No matter what the history books say, the Rothschilds didn't get (total) real control on things in America and the Federal Reserve until the Springs usurped the Payseur family companies in the early 1920s...
(But Lincoln had fallen from Rothschild grace also and so, due, in part to his Executive Order to print United States Greenbacks, thus interfering with the Jewish International Banks profits) It appears that the Rothschild family wanted Lincoln embarrassed to the maximum degree. (So) Mary Todd's drug dealer (John Wilks Booth) was hired to kidnap the President of the United States. Abraham would be put on a boat for a two month cruise of the Atlantic where he would be injected with and addicted to opium and then dumped on the streets of Washington. While the forcefully addicted President was stumbling around our nation's capital, the press would be informed of Elizabeth, Ella and Emily.
The drug pusher (Booth) and collaborator (agent) of the Rothschilds had his perfect accomplice in the plot to kidnap and discredit the leader of the North American continent in the First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln. After being informed of Abe's lover and the twins and the kidnap plot by her drug supplier, Mary was promised that after her husband resigned or was impeached, she and Abe would be moved to Europe to live happily ever after with plenty of opium. Superficially Mary expressed a desire to live in Europe with plenty of opium and no Civil War or politics to distract her husband or family. But her drug suppler had totally underestimated the confusion, desperation and anger of Mary Todd Lincoln.
The plotters decided the Presidential snatch needed to take place in a public, yet discreet location where minimum witnesses would be present. There were too many potential witnesses at the White House. Two hours before the capture was to take place, Mary Todd had on the floor, a tantrum, because Abe had decided not to go out of the White House that night. Mary's outrageous outburst caused Abe to change his mind and the First family departed. Several minutes after arriving at the kidnap location, Mary instructed the family bodyguard to take a position that placed the First Family out of his visual sight. The position also required the bodyguard to traverse several flights of stairs to reach Abe and Mary should he be needed for any reason...A wagon with a wooden cover arrived at the back entrance of the kidnap location with several men including Mary's opium supplier. The plan was for the drug pusher to traverse the backstairs entrance, silently move down a hallway, and open an unlocked door to a darkened room where Mary and Abe were sitting.
After entering the room, Mary's drug man (Booth) would tell the President an urgent message was waiting for him at the War Department. Before descending down the backstairs, Abe would be knocked out with a chloroform loth. The kidnappers would load the limp body into the covered wagon and swiftly stow Lincoln on an opium boat for a novel 'cruise' of the Atlantic Ocean. When Booth actually opened the door to the darkened room where Abe and Mary were sitting, he went into a panic and shock. Abe was asleep with his head on Mary's left shoulder and the First Lady had her head turned toward the left looking at the door...When she was sure the man who opened the door was Booth, she turned and looked at the President to be sure the pistol she was pointing would explode beneath the lower left earlobe of her husband.
Before Mary pulled the trigger, John Wilkes Booth, drug supplier to the First Lady, realized he was the patsy in all this mess. But he did not know if he was only Mary's patsy or also a chump for the Rothschild family. Were the men hiding around the back door of Ford's Theater there to help Booth with the kidnapping or there to point the false finger at the 'innocent' Booth? Booth was not about to run into the hallway or down the backstairs to find out the answer to that question. The only escape route was to jump the balcony and crash onto the stage during the performance. That night, Booth gave a literal interpretation of the theatrical phrase 'brake a leg' as he fractured one of his during his leaping act from 'lethally looney Mary' and the men lurking around the back entrance of Ford's Theater.
In a novelty case on a wall in Ford's Theater is 'The Gun That Shot Abraham Lincoln.' If anyone (assassin) were to kill a head of state, they would use a revolver, because several bullets might be needed to accomplish the murder and stop any guards during the escape. One would only use a one-shot pistol if they were absolutely sure they had intimate access to the victim. The gun on the wall of Ford's Theater is a derringer-the perfect weapon for the left handed female assassin who did not attend her husbands funeral. Mary Todd was not hiding in her room due to overwhelming grief and sorrow; she was imprisoned in her room with two armed guards for two weeks after killing her husband.
In the 1860s, an act of Congress mandated the compensation of widows of former and active Congressmen, Senators, Vice Presidents and Presidents. The mouth and duration was ratified by both Houses of Congress for each widow. Mary Todd Lincoln applied for her widowers compensation three times and was denied the mandated compensation three times by both Houses of Congress. An unknown benefactor paid for Mary's passage to Europe where she died in small cottage in Germany.
In 1867, the Secret Service was founded so that drunken municipal law enforcement could not unwittingly participate with drug-addicted First Ladies or Gentlemen in vengeful high-brow killings of philandering Presidents of the United States. (To cover up the murders committed which would reflect a bad light for the presiding Administration, such as the Foster murder is doing at the present time).
Before Booth jumped out of the balcony of the Presidential Box of the Ford Theater, he shouted at General Riley and his wife who were sitting to the right-front of the Lincolns. Booth's words expressed his innocence but also sealed the fate of the Rileys. Within a week of the shooting, General Riley and his wife were packed off to an insane asylum where they both died of 'unknown causes' within 30 days of being committed." (Pandora's Box, by Alex Christopher, pp. 282-286).
The following is for everyone but also to question 371 Bohemia to see if he might know something-anything on the inside about the MRO and its 'calibration images' status.
http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/mro/mission/orbiter_update.html
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Adjusts Angle of Orbit
September 6, 2006
NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter fired its six
intermediate-size thrusters for 210 seconds Tuesday
in a maneuver to make the shape of its orbit closer
to the planned geometry for the mission's main
science phase, beginning in November.
The maneuver raised the portion of the elliptical
orbit at which the spacecraft comes nearest to Mars --
the periapsis -- from 216 kilometers (134 miles) above
the surface to 320 kilometers (199 miles). A thruster
firing on Aug. 30 had lifted the periapsis high enough
to end a five-month process of dipping into the
atmosphere every orbit to gradually shrink the orbit.
The spacecraft now completes each loop around Mars in
just under two hours.
The Sept. 5 maneuver also fine-tuned the orbit's angle
relative to Mars' equator, tweaking it less than one
degree to 92.5 degrees.
A longer firing of the engines next week is planned
for lowering the high point of the orbit to make the
shape more circular and for locking into a pattern of
keeping the periapsis over Mars' South Pole and the far
point -- the apoapsis -- over the North Pole.
--------------------
Again...at this point 'calibration images' ARE being acquired.
The questions remain:
WHEN will we see this?
When will Cydonia be TARGETED???
When will THOSE images and ancillary data be released?
Anyone on the 'inside' know these answers?
I know the propable answer from NASA will be "give us a chance to get 'set up' please"
As others know...we were 'set up' beforer and got 'catboxed'.
We are impatient and would like a more OPEN operation of this mission than those in the past. After all this is supposed to be "The People's Camera" well we "people" want more open flow of information, images and faster targeting of Cydonia. With more than 1300 pounds of fuel saved, it is possible to spend 1-2 pounds to trim the longitude 'walk' so that Cydonia can be acquired on several repeated orbits to cover the entire region early. THIS would be ideal.
In the current update there is NO mention of the craft taking 'calibration images'. Why not? It is impossible to believe that there have not been SOME 'calibration images' have not been acquired since the last public image release BEFORE areobraking. Now that areobraking is done, it is REASONABLE to presume that SOME 'calibration images' certainly ARE being acquired. MER has daily releases, there is NO reasonable reason why MRO cannot have the same. imho.

I would have to say Nero, Caligula is way to sexy for the likes of Bush. Clinton is more up Caligula's alley... :)
Boh, let me hazard a few wild guesses regarding your latest post on budget cuts. First, you are right about the privatisation bit.
The time for beating around the Bush (no pun intended)is over for NASA. What needed to be done has been done, or something UNEXPECTED has happened to produce such a complete overhaul of NASA's priorities. (China?)
The MOON is now the major objective, and TPTB dont give a rat's ass for any other objective/target. Orion is a financial black-hole of corruption, like most Govt 'initiatives'. The Saturn V blueprints would exist somewhere, much as the C-130 cargo plane is still being built after 50 years in service.
I believe TPTB need to siphone off some billions to pay for something more interesting than a 4-stage rocket system, if you want to beat the Chinese to mining the Moon.
Btw, the average Chinese and Indian citizen is very arrogant about their sudden thrust into 1st world status of industrialisation and space exploration.
NASA, I guess, will Outsource all NASA jobs to China and India, except for analysis of data returned from its experiments. Consider NASA as dead, gentlemen and ladies.
Depending on NASA site numbers range from 36% - 42%
-------------------
Both India and China are already building their own rockets. There's nothing left except to cut costs through outsourcing.
NASA will be the next IBM.

NASA is simply no longer "your" NASA. It is not the people's NASA. It is a private government entity surviving off public tax-payer funding.
It was never the people's NASA. It is even less so considering the blatant lack of interest in science and education. Also, there is a troubling, dismissive, and elitist arrogance in Griffin's words as he describes who he feels NASA is "responsible" to i.e. who tells him what to do.
None recall the list of cancellations and budget cut impacts I posted here because it was deleted shortly after I posted it.
* NASA is still holding an axe over science entirely for 2007 on the ISS.
* NASA is diverting a little over $3 billion from its science research budget over five years.
* NASA's goals delete mention of home planet
* Astrobiology hardest hit
Let me try to reproduce some of NASA Chief Administrator Dr. Michael Griffin's quotes:
(please note the added emphasis is mine)
"How do we motivate students to study astrobiology if this science is not favored in the budget?" asked a teacher. "If they want to work for government money, they must look at what the government wants - not what they think it should want. If they want to work with something the government doesn't want, they'll have to find other money to fund it," Griffin stated."
"More broadly, there has been a view, which in my opinion has been both too widely and too long held, that NASA is somehow responsible to a variety of external constituencies, a list of which is far too long to reproduce here, even if I could remember them all! In fact, the Agency is responsible to the President and to the Congress, in practice through our Congressional oversight committees. It operates within and subject to the dictates of Presidential policy and, most importantly, the appropriations and authorization legislation voted by Congress."
"Deletion of the phrase "protect our home planet" from the 2006 strategic plan brought it into alignment with our statutory responsibilities and actual capabilities. Indeed, it was not clear that inclusion of the phrase made sense in the first place, since it raised questions that NASA is not able to address."
Now an attempt at reproducing some of the project cancellations/deferrals due to budget cuts:
* Dawn: Cancelled. (again)
* SOFIA (Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy): Cancelled.
* Mission to Europa: Cancelled.
* Jupiter Icy Moon Orbiter (JIMO): Cancelled
* Terrestrial Planet Finder: Cancelled.
* SIM Planet Quest: Delayed.
* Mars Sample Return Mission: Delayed Indefinitely.
* Two Mars Scout missions planned for after 2011 were removed from the four year planning budget.
* Explorer Program: cut drastically with the earliest launch coming in 2014.
* Beyond Einstein: delayed indefinitely.
* Landsat: delay in launch of satellite to replace and upgrade Landsat 7, launched in 1999.
* Earth Observing System: If cut, satellites such as Aqua (2002) and Terra (1999) would not be replaced when they fail.
* Global Precipitation Measuring Mission: The launch pushed back to 2012.
* Deep Space Climate Observatory: cancelled.
* National Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System: Under review.
* Keck Observatory upgrade: cancelled
Concerns:
Why has it taken more than 37 years to return to the Moon? If we had something that worked, dust off the blueprints and upgrade it! BUT, the blueprints and videos are conveniently missing.
Instead, we are going to spend more thn $100 BILLION on Orion.
Wasn't getting to the Moon first more of a scare tactic against the Soviets during the Cold War than a quest for human exploration? The Soviets would think if America did land on the Moon, what else can they due to us? Control of public media is key in dispensing false-flag propaganda.

Weed : the fastest growing plant known to man cannot be legislated into extinction
If the flowering tops of female plants are what gets people high (and someone wanted to stop it).
Why not just plant all-male low-grade dirt weed on the top of high-rise buildings ?
Or, fly over suspected areas and drop spores ?
TPTB know it's futile - but is the goal really to stop production ?
Or, is it to enable consumption so that we can have more cops around for property crimes ?
Bohemia,
I noticed several of your posts were removed by you and unless Sunking had not repeated your previous posts I would not have been able to readyour invaluable insight.
Are you afraid of reprisals from NASA from what you post here? I could easily understand that.
Do you happen to know ANY inside information about the MRO HiRes and WHEN more images might be released?
Since the aerobraking is finished and the recent engine firing to almost ciculize the order, have they started 'calibration images'?
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanx in advance.

gCell catalytic conversion of water into hydrogen and oxygen and fuel cell.
In the gCell electrical voltage is created passing water over special catalytic reactants, This electrical voltage aids in the excitement of the hydrogen and oxygen molecules in the water, A second process involves a thermo, electro-catalytic reaction that results in the complete separation of the hydrogen molecules from the oxygen molecules. In the third process, small amounts of the hydrogen and oxygen gas molecules created in the second process recombine, providing additional electrical current to subsidize the overall gas generation process. A single Genesis gCell stack (about the size of a small car battery), consisting of several individual gCells, is capable of producing hundreds of cubic feet of gas per day. In comparison, a typical American home located in cold climates consumes approximately five metered cubic feet of natural gas a day. When converted to electricity this represents a 30kw output. The eCell does the reverse reaction to create a cheaper, more powerful, more reliable, longer life, and compacter fuel cell. Uses catalytic reactant formulations free from normal degradation. Excess energy is created by electrolyzing platinum instead of palladium or in deuterium. Produces excess heat energy, tritium, helium, x-rays, alpha-rays, neutrons, high energy particles, and various elements and radioactivity. Usually creates 20% surplus energy but can produce up to 15x energy input. Safer devices exist. http://www.alternativescience.com/cold_fusion.htm
Biefeld-Brown effect. Electrostatic anti-gravity and gravity field propulsion. When a capacitor is charged at 50 to 300 kilovolt it tends to move in the direction of its positive pole. This is a very efficient propulsion system compared to the amount of energy it takes to initialize and maintain the effect. The B-2 bomber is reported to charge its leading edge to a positive high voltage and its exhaust to a negative high voltage. http://bel.150m.com/biefeld.htm
Many more at this website it is 'dead' but lots of examples of alt energies.

Did I mention that the guy in this video William Lyne, suggests that every electric meter is an energy booster based on Tesla tech ?
He dismantles an electric meter and shows how its combo of magnets match a Tesla design.
Interesting speculation.

How did Abba say it? Can you hear me calling SOS or something like that?
Where are those happy days, they seem so hard to find
I try to reach for you but you have closed your mind
What ever happened to our love? I wish I understood
It used to feel so nice, it used to be so good
So when you're near me, darling can't you hear me S.O.S.
The love you gave me, nothing else can save me S.O.S.
When you're gone, how can I even try to go on?
When you're gone, well I try, how can I carry on?
You seem so far away but you are standing near
You make me feel alive but something died I fear
I really tried to make it out I wish I understood
What happened to our love, it used to be so good
So when you're near me, darling can't you hear me S.O.S.
The love you gave me, nothing else can save me S.O.S.
When you're gone, how can I even try to go on?
When you're gone, ooh I try, how can I carry on?

The super-highway linked to the Bush crime family is INTRIGUING but not in our news (yet). I say : let them build it ... then expropriate it & nationalize it ! Oh, sure, it's a Third World tactic ... but it appears Big Business is finally treating Americans like the rest.
The lowest common denominator prevails.
I foresee HUGE problems carrying out a toll highway of that length. Big Business insisted on out-sourcing - they should be prevented from insulating themselves against the effects that they cause - capitalizing on the outcome of their power-play. People will blockade & send a message that life is for the living !!
Wow ... wonder why it's so slow ... is it NASA ?

Coincidence? 911 seems cyclical.
Btw, Paul Wolfowitz and IMF/World Bank comes to singapore tomorrow for their conferences. All NGO peaceful protests / demonstrations have been banned, to the displeasure of IMF/WB. This bit of news is available only through overseas internet newsportals.
The Govt controlled press and media does not publish such news, but instead showers the Govt with shameless praise at its clockwork precision organisation of the conference.

Bush to visit Ground Zero on eve of Sept 11
Reuters / Washington September 10, 2006
US President George W. Bush, on Sunday, will visit the site where New York's twin towers once stood as he marks the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, according to a report on the website of Reuters.
In a two-day tour of all three crash sites - the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania where United Flight 93 crashed - Bush will strive to put aside partisan acrimony.
The report, quoting White House spokesman Tony Snow, said Bush has no prepared remarks for the visits. He will attend a Sunday evening prayer service in New York and visit firefighters on Monday morning, the report said.
Bush will save his formal remarks for a televised Oval Office speech on Monday night. Snow said Bush will reflect on the anniversary and discuss the war on terrorism.

CC, the reason it is slow is because people are revolting against my idea
to only post on the weekends.
It's so nice here today, havta get out in it.
Good to see that Bushie is going to have a nice photo op on the 11th to demonstrate his

Gee, thanks for those lyrics....like I really needed THAT song in my head all day, now.
when you hear me darling....mmmmm....sos....hummmmmm
I see the Bohemia post I quoted is gone, anyone care to explain to me why that is happening?
I think the lyrics to SOS are strangely appropriate....
Hi, did anyone 'vibrate' this morning ? scarletm, sunking ?

Someone doesn't approve of them apparently SSCS, in a way its like an
exclamation point to much of what boh is saying.
I think we should re-post boh's posts. I think sunking has
already done that in at least one case. Is that all right
boh, if we re-post your removed comments?
In the name of freedom stop removing them. The one who is removing
them should either secretly like and cheer the re-posts
or realize that his side IS losing. More and more
people are learning that NASA has been stolen from
the public, and that actions at NASA mirror the bull$#$#
of the beltway. An increasing number of people are
aiming to correct both nightmares. The ones steering
the policies ought to know how precarious their position is.
Whoever is removing the comments probably already
knows their side is corrupted and tainted, wonder if he/she also
feels like their time is almost up. I think they
have reason to be worried.
If it's ok with boh and sunking, I'd like to see boh's
comments re-posted by another f-shodder.
What say thee sunking and boh ?
You guys watching Koppel on Discovery? He is touching some nerves on a lot of things. Tune in if you can.

it's 911 on 911. Time for more or less 911...
Well. it's 9/11. If you're The Decider and his minions, let the fake mourning and fearmongering begin. Oh, and lets not forget the disinfo! Gotta have disinfo! Otherwise, you can't scare anybody.
Brian,
I have no problem at all with Boh's comments being reposted...but I don't have them anywhere. A couple of times I've copy/pasted them into my own comments so if the DO get deleted, they're there anyway.
For all concerned...I have done some research and testing and I know of only two ways that Boh's comments can be deleted:
1. But one of the Admins (i.e. Scarlet, Ms T, Unipax or Bubba). I do not think my Admins are doing this, since at one time I removed their authority and Boh's messages still got deleted.
2. The only other way is for Boh to delete them or someone who has usurped Boh's signon. Boh, I recommend you change your password...often.
There ya go.

No...I felt no shakin'... but I do recall there was some commotion, seemed like birds or jets or both...something.
Plus there were 3 snakes suddenly appeared by the lanai (back porch)...I see the occasional snake, never see 3 at one time.
Given the tone and the LACK of posts from Bohemia about things from his view from INSIDE the NASA jugernaut...on this 9-11 anniversary I think that our freedoms have been lost and the hijackers have won. If we feel we cannnot critisize SAFELY and without RETRIBUTION from NASA and the BUSH administration for FREE SPEACH...then the terorists of the BUSH puppetiers have WON.
In my view I don't even now think that the MRO HiRes will be ALLOWED to address the Artificiallity Of Cydonia question. And 2-3 years from now we'll still be out on the fringes and mainstream scientists will still think of the FACE, the D n M Pyramid as 'piles of rock' and of course 'tricks of lights and shadow'.
WE ARE LIVING IN THE SHADOW TIMES.
And there are few flashlights of freedom.

371 Bohemia,
My heartfelt thoughts go out to you and for you to keep safe, keep your job, and may your family also be safe.
If you FEEL that threatened that your posts MUST be 'censored'...then you probably ARE threatened in some way.
As much as we would like some 'inside' information from you...if it can be traced back to you and THEY can retaliate like they are doing with 'Scholars for 9-11 for truth' with ALL THREE major professors on board being dumped by their colleges...keep yourself safe.
Find another way to get info out if can and if you think you can safely...i.e. DVD copies mailed to someone.
But in the end...keep you and your family safe because again if you FEEL 'threatened'....then you probably are.

Hi All...
For the WX watchers....fall's arriving here in New England. Didn't even make 60 til almost noon today. The leaves are falling too. Kinda early for that. Not much CT activity. It's been around, but more sporadic than a year ago.
$66 a barrel oil right before the election, and 2.76 for gas here. Last week it was 2.99...wow what a coincidence...
Any opinions on Steven Greer? I listened on and off last nite. The BS meter pegged a couple of times. If he knows all this, how's come he's not dead?
Just a few thoughts for a Monday....
Hey all,
My cousin's husband, a friend of mine, has just been deployed to Iraq. Funny thing is, he's an aircraft mechanic (on planes such as the F-22), and they aren't sending him down to do his job. My cousin said it had to do with "remains", but didn't want to go into detail over the phone. She said it obviously wasn't for the remains of indigenous people. I figure he will be down there doing whatever the hell they tell him to do, if he's not doing his regular job.
The bottom line is, they are so desperate for people down there, they are pulling people off their regular military jobs and just sending them down there for whatever comes to mind.
My question is, how can we be protected in this country right now, when we are so obviously stretched to the limit with our Middle East wars?
How will our government ever rebuild the military when they are screwing over EVERY soldier with multiple tours and recalls? You would have to be one desperate bastard to sign up these days. Or maybe drafted.
